I Just Needed A Break Yesterday.

Took a break from my desk yesterday and played basketball with my twin brother in Little Rock. It was a nice break from work and the kids. I get up every morning around 6 and begin online marketing. I have about 4 or 5 tabs open on Firefox. As long as my 5 month old sleeps, I can get a lot done. When she wakes up, I may be away from my desk for 2 hours. She hates sitting with me at my desk. I type with one hand when she does, but 99% of the time she cries. I just take care of her, catch up on the news, and check my email for hours a day.

What's holding Independent Little Rock Rappers Back?

Many of them you will never hear of; yet, they make a good living in the
entertainment business. Let me tell you the difference between a
successful independent rapper in Atlanta and an unsuccessful one in
Little Rock. It's the mindset. A rapper in Atlanta is successful
because of his mindset. He knows that if he does not generate a
revenue via sales, shows, deals, etc that his lights will be turned off
and more. He does not work 9 to 5 for anyone but himself. He is a
full-time artist who will collab, join forces, and work with others to
make money. He has to make music to make it.

The Little Rock rapper is just the opposite. He works a 9 to 5
job for someone in order to pay his bills. He does not need music to
make ends meet. He is a hobbyist. He does music on the side hoping it
will get him out of his rut. he is passionate about his music to the
point of obsession. He refuses to collab, come through on arrangements, join forces, or work with others to make money. He cannot take criticism. This guy procrastinates and has poor communication skills. He is not focused enough to make it and will be in the same situation for next ten years.

I used to be a Little Rock rapper. I'm a full-time independent
artist with the right mindset. It took me years to understand this
concept. When you are recording your project, you need to be the
artist. When that project is finished, you must change your mindset
and become a businessman who's goal is to make money. Your passion
should rest in making money, not your music. If you are lucky enough
to assemble a team, get a businessman that knows nothing about music.
He will help you make money with no bias.

In the last 5 years I've attempted to get Little Rock talent to
join forces to no avail. Everyone wants to have a label, be the lead
man, produce, etc. No one wants to lend their specialty in order to
create something so much bigger than the individual artist. Those same
guys that booed me off stage at Juanitas are no better off now than
they were 5 years ago. I don't get any joy out of being right about
this. It upsets me that the reason this area hasn't been tapped isn't
because of the major labels not looking; it's because they see what I
see.

Selling cds is not the way to go. It's more about the digital
revolution and viral marketing. It's about being everywhere without
going anywhere. It's about coming together for a common cause. It's
about networking with people who want to make money not hold his
neighbor back. I know that now.

I never stopped grindin'. I just got away from my blog. After a conference with Apex and GS of Lord Gang Int., I have been given more weapons to put to use as I attempt to create a viral buzz on the net for my music. I have finished my third album entitled "Fever Pitch". Rip of Soultaker Records is mixing and mastering it in his home studio located in Topeka, KS. Some of the stars on this album include 50 Cent, Timbaland, and Jamie Foxx. Its release will be totally digital. I will still have digital distribution for those who wanna get singles via I-tunes and other digital retailers. The entire album will be available for about $3 in the form of a zip file at my dot com. Payments will be made via Paypal.

I know it's been a minute since I posted something here. Sorry folks, but I've been very busy. The gif you see on my blog page was made from a video clip of me performing recently in a club overseas. I am preparing for a 3 month tour later this year. I have also undergone a procedure called lipodissolve to get rid a little fat (nothing major). Getting Ready 4 The New Year

Just got back from the track. I walked a few miles and listened to some joints on my mp3 player. This was the first time I'd listened to that 300 bars diss by The Game. It was hot. I've lost 20 pounds in 2 months. My goal is to drop another 20 by the end of January 07. That would put me at 190 or so with a 6 pack and flawless definition. I'm looking forward to touring overseas and acting next year and need to have my body in the best condition. Bout to hit the bubble bath. Holla!

Changed Plans

I've decided to hold off on releasing a new project in December. It will be mid or late January when I release my next cd. Right now I am concentrating on continuing to develop a solid foundation for my company to operate on in 2007. I've been releasing posters and things of that nature. I'm most proud of my latest one called "Anatomical." I'm trying to reach out to the youth of America and be a role model. Enjoy!

Today was filled with food, fun, and a stomach bug. I don't know what I got into, but my stomach feels like it's got a butterfly in it. Besides hanging out with the family, I've been at my pc playing Battlefield 2 and preparing music cds to be distributed overseas. Yeah, my Cowboys won big! I've got some cds to send out to HEavyweight Record Pool also. Gotta go now. Don't eat too much.

New Cd Coming Out Soon!

I've been up since 7 am writing lyrics for my new cd. I haven't come up with a title for it nor have I decided on the artwork. It's gonna be an EP or 10 song album. I'd like for it to be an album. I don't know. This is some tight stuff um puttin' down. My man, Dj Cboss, put down some hot tracks for me. Reginald Browning also put down some hot shit for me. Um gonna bring some heat on this one but mostly r&b tracks for the ladies. Lots of people have read my interview with IOM. It was mad fun doing it. I'm ready for the next one. Gotta go. I just wanted you guys to know that I wasn't gonna put one blog out there and just leave it. Whenever I have time, I will update my posts.
