Community Market (Fulmers) are running a triple sale this week!! They are tripling all coupons up to $.50! So $.25 becomes $.75, $50=$1.50, etc. They do not have a limit on how many you can use. Also the customers service rep I spoke to informed me that they do accept SOME internet printed coupons. They will just need to be approved by a store manager!! WOO HOO!! I think I am going to go tonight after the kids are in bed! Will post my deals later!

Happy New Year! I can't believe it is already the 13th day of 2010! So much has happened since I last posted and SOO MUCH more is to come! My baby turned 4 years old yesterday, a new business venture is on the horizon for me (www.iscreamsocials.com), Coupon Boot Camp is continuing to evolve - will be launching home based business training in February (stay tuned), and I am returning to my Computer Help service business for added income. Not to mention my weekly Cutting Corners columns in 3 local newspapers now, the Dollars and Sense columnist for The Salt Magazine, Clinton Area Network of Businesswomen President, Class of 2010 Leadership Clinton member, wife and mommy! Did I leave anything out? LOL! Whew!

Thankfully I have alot of patience, God's Grace, organization and help from friends!!

Women 4 Wilmington, a non-profit networking group, is hosting a Power Panel Breakfast meeting on Friday, November 20th. W4W has invited the Women in Business Networking group of Dayton to share their experience and testimonials of how networking benefits their businesses during a breakfast meeting to be held at the General Denver Hotel.

WiBN founder, Jeanne Porter, and a panel of 5 WiBN members will be on hand to answer questions and share tips about how being a part of a professional networking group can benefit every woman in business, whether a business owner, sales clerk, etc. Jeanne Porter will be telling how and why she started the WiBN group. I am honored to be the featured guest speaker at the 3rd annual Wilmington Christian Academy “Spa Day” fundraising event. Please join me on Saturday, November 14th from 3 pm – 8 pm to be held at the Family Faith Church located at 64 Williams Road, Wilmington. This event brings together professionals who perform manicures, pedicures, facial peels, and massages with the proceeds benefiting WCA.

This event began as a small gathering in someone’s home. A student’s mom asked a few professional manicurists and cosmetologists to come and provide spa services to a group of her friends and the proceeds were donated to WCA. Each year the event grows. This year a special area has been designated for younger ladies to have their nails done and create a craft. Several new vendors such as Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, Premier Jewelry, just to name a few, will be on hand with amazing gift ideas for the holidays and fabulous stocking stuffers. I am a techno geek want to be. I love new technology. I have a laptop, a smartphone, Twitter account and more. If there is a task to be done, I look to technology to simplify it for me. Most of these however, come with hefty price tags. But being the cheapskate that I am, I have found numerous free and affordable avenues to satisfy the techie in me. Here is just a sampling for you to try!

Free internet access: netzero.com offers free internet access up to 10 hours per month.
Free email: aol.com, gmail.com, yahoo.com
Free virus protection: free.avg.com. This was recommended to us by our computer guru four years ago and we have been virus and spyware free since.
Free websites: Want your own web presence? Try webs.com, googleblog.blogspot.com or free hosting via godaddy.com with domain name registration.
Get paid to search. I have been using swagbucks.com as my search engine and I earn points periodically that I have cashed in for $5 off a baby products retailer, a $25 restaurant gift certificate and am currently accumulating points for cold hard cash to be deposited in to my Paypal.com, the safe secure way to make online purchases, account.
Free PDF creator. Compared to Adobe Acrobat that has a price tag of $299, this simple free PDF creator is worth the download. I love the simplicity of this program. I can create a document in any program, click print, chose CutePDF as my printer, then I am prompted to choose a location to save the newly created PDF file.
Tons of free software downloads can be found at cnet.com. Just click on the download tab and type in the free software you are looking for. For example, if you type in free Photoshop, you’ll find several results like Photobie 6 that is comparable to Photoshop.

Blog Refocus!

Due to a recent epiphany (a sudden, intuitive perception of or insight into the reality or essential meaning of something, usually initiated by some simple, homely, or commonplace occurrence or experience) I am refocusing my efforts to line up with my purpose and hearts desire!

My hearts desire and passion is entrepreneurship! Which is obvious! And I have found that I thoroughly enjoy public speaking. So I am going to center my time and energy on building and developing that career.

I will still continue to facilitate Coupon Boot Camps and, Lord willing I find a business partner, further advance the services in to an income opportunity for others. I will also continue to bring you great deals, hot sale news and of course, Fabulous Finds Fridays (as I have time)!

Meanwhile, I will be pursuing and developing Entreprenueral workshops, seminars, events and presentations.

So, this blog will return to its original intent which is to illustrate the reality of a Work From Home Mom's journey through starting and running her own business(es). ; )
