I’d like to do what I can to pass along a good planet to future generations, but that’s just me. I hope you too will consider some of the above.

Make Your Own Mind Machine - Little Known Information About Mind Computer Interfacing

Many people are working on Brain Computer Interfacing (BCI) these days. Few people, however, are working on Mind Machines.

There is a difference between the brain and the mind, though the two are definitely related. It seems that the mind can exist without a brain, e.g. when a spirit leaves a body upon death. It seems unlikely that a brain can exist without a mind.

Perhaps the brain is the "hardware" and the mind is the "software". The mind consists of emotions, thoughts, and perceptions. It can reason things out and plan to do things.

Furthermore, there is evidence that our minds connect in some way, e.g. telepathy, extra sensory perception, cosmic consciousness, etc. To add another dimension, there is a long history of a person's mind sending out signals via prayer.

The brain can be seen and touched, whereas the mind is nebulous. We see the results of the mind but cannot see the mind physically (yet).

We can "plug" into the brain with a Brain Computer Interface but the mind has no "plug-in-port". Even if we had a plug on a Mind Interface, we would not know where to plug it physically. Therein lays the problem with Mind Machines.

From what I have read, most of the Mind Machines developed so far are "Intuition Indicators". These devices give a real world indication of what the mind knows already. These devices give a voice to the mind, albeit sometimes only yes or no. Examples of such devices are dowsing rods, radionics, pendulums, etc. Some of these devices are even electronic or interfaced to a computer.

You, too, can experiment with such devices by making the circuits or devices in the books below.

You can "Make your own Mind Machine". Let your imagination soar, as minds like to do when creating or inventing. You could make a group of experimenters to collaborate on solutions. Share your findings so others can build on your work. Perhaps you will find the key that so many have searched for throughout time!

Did You Know Plants Read Your Mind?

In the 1960's, Cleve Backster discovered that plants could sense his thoughts and emotions. The "Backster Effect" was born. Scientists repeated his experiments and they did not like the results they saw. The public was interested though - and still is!

Has science finally caught up with Mr. Backster?

Recently, research shows that plants communicate with each other, perhaps by chemical means. In addition, scientists found that plants communicate with animals, using various means. Does this mean that plant-human communication is possible?

Many years ago, Mr. Backster connected a device called a "Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) Sensor" to various plants. He detected and recorded plant's reactions to his thoughts and emotions. He was amazed and told others. Others were amazed, as well.

The GSR was a portion of the Polygraph (Lie Detector) of which Mr. Backster was and is an expert. Then and now, Polygraph equipment is not readily available to the public. Thus, the public could not easily experiment with the Backster Effect.

Today, the public can continue with Mr. Backster's research, using Home Biofeedback Devices. A Home Biofeedback Device measures emotional stress to teach people how to manage stress better.

Who says you cannot connect a Home Biofeedback Device to a plant and do your own research on the Backster Effect?

With the suggested equipment below, the tone changes to signify emotional state. In addition, you can see emotional changes on a computer screen. With this equipment, you can give your plant a "voice".

You do not need any special training or education to experiment with the Backster Effect.

Here is one way you could do your own research:

Review the work of Cleve Backster and others in this field. Some resources are below.
Buy or make a Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) sensor. The public can buy these as Home Biofeedback Devices. Perhaps you could start with the "Complete GSR2/Temp2X Calmlink Pro System (with remote electrodes and software)", listed below.
Experiment with your own self to become familiar with the equipment. Use it for its intended purpose of monitoring your emotional state. Watch how the device responds to your stress level.
Next, connect the GSR sensor to a plant. Try it with a Philodendron, as Mr. Backster did. Build on the work of previous researchers. The experimenters in the past attached the GSR electrodes (sensors) to each side of a plant leaf with light pressure clamps. They used sterile gauze to help support the leaf with attached sensors. Between the leaf and sensors, they used agar gel. Today maybe you could use electrode cream, used for medical tests. Use your imagination and invent your own plant attachment system.
Repeat Mr. Backster's experiments and see how the plant responds to your thoughts and feelings. Keep a journal so you can see your progress, just like a scientist.
Share your findings with the world, so others can build on your work. Encourage others to do their own research. Social media, like Facebook, might be particularly helpful. Include your ideas on practical applications, e.g. medical diagnosis, telepathy, etc. Consider making an Internet Collaboration Tool, e.g. Wiki, for everyone to pool information.

As you learn about the Backster Effect, you will soon see how experimenters also tested trees, eggs, yogurt, body fluids, etc. and again found startling results. Some enhanced the effect using hypnosis. Others used their equipment to pick up life signals from outer space (Project LUCAS). What are you going to test?

Maybe this year is a good time to initiate contact with the Plant and Animal Kingdoms on our own Earth. It is time to get to work!

How do animals find their way home?

Pets and their owners can become very close, this is known. When a pet becomes lost, it seems to find its way home, despite long distance and many adversities. There are many theories how this homing instinct works, and it could be a combination of cues to re-unite pets with owners.

One explanation, proposed by J.B. Rhine, is a phenomenon called "Psi-Trailing". This might be described as the owner and pet communicating using their "minds", much like a game of "Marco-Polo". Who says this can't happen?

In fact, as technology improves, or our understand of minds improves, we might find ways to augment this psi-trailing.

Maybe there will be computer-assisted "psi-trailing" to bring people and/or pets back to one another.
How about an electronic "dowsing tool" to zero in on the missing person or pet? There exist electronic dowsing rods. Maybe these same tools could be used to find lost pets or people.
Perhaps "galvanic skin response" could be a kind of "psychic compass"
Once dream analysis becomes a science, we might be able to get hints or suggestions of where to look.

Our mind and our pet's mind are wonderful creations, much to be revealed yet, though.

The authors discuss such things as how the dinosaurs suffered from brain cancer and gorillas experience depression. They note that the heart rate of white-tailed deer slows down in response to the presence of danger;such as wolves.

The authors document that smoke, alcohol, excess sunlight and obesity alter the DNA sequences to yield various types of cancer. Large species like blue whales have a lower incidence of cancer due to Peto's Paradox. The DNA replication in large animals protects them from cancer according to this principle.

Animals like wolves have an inherent instinct for self preservation even if intolerable pain is one of the choices. For instance, a wolf will gnaw off a paw to be freed from a hunter's snare.

The authors show how severe stress is known to alter the heart chemistry through a process called takotsubo cardiomyopathy. Examples are neurogenic myocardial stunning, stress-induced cardiomyopathy and transient left ventricular apical ballooning. Physicians understand takotsubo because the heart communicates with the brain, starting from the womb.

Obese humans have greater numbers of firmicutes in the intestine;whereas thin people have greater bacteroidetes there. The firmicutes are all gram-positive bacteria;whereas proteobacteria which are gram-negative. Mice experience a similar phenomena as obese humans. Therefore, diet and exercise are not the only factors influencing weight gain or loss.

Koalas get diseases also found in humans such as chlamydia. Animals also commit suicide; such as those with terminal parasitic infections.

Zoobiquity is an excellent book which explains the commonality between human and animal disease processes. The book is well researched. Hello All – Have you ever thought there must be more to life than what we see and hear? Do you ever wonder what pets are thinking? Are you interested in what some call Fringe Science or Pseudo-Science?

Well, this new blog focuses on ways to communicate with the world in and around us. SETI searched for life outside our universe. This blog is seeking enhanced communication with those life-forms around us that we "can't" talk to . Who says we can't?

Topics might include Inter-Species Communication, Plant Talk, Talking to the Dead, Chatting with God or other Good Spirits. Of course Alien discovery is also welcome here too. Who knows what we as a people might find. If Science isn't interested, that does not have to hold us back. Onward!

I focus on hope and potentially helpful solutions.
