The latest game from John Kovalic, best known as the brilliant cartoonist behind Dork Tower, Munchkin, and the apple from Apples to Apples, has hit gaming shelves. Like Kovalic’s previous outing ROFL, Double Feature is a party game akin to the aforementioned Apple to Apples, Cards Against Humanity, and the like. Double Feature is published by the newly founded Renegade Game Studios, founded by

Okay. It's been a while folks but this one's big! Marvel's 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' video leaked yesterday evening and, rather than let people watch the crap quality ones out there, Marvel released the high quality one themselves. We get a look at the titular bad-guy and what looks like a throwdown between the Hulk and Iron Man in his Hulkbuster armor. Sah-weet! Have a look and comment below

Cryptozoic Games, the publishers behind the World of Warcraft collectible card game and Penny Arcade: Rumble in R’leyh, brings us the new “party game of mix-communication” called ROFL. ROFL is created by John Kovalic, the mind behind the go-to party game Apples to Apples. I had a chance to give ROFL a good playthrough recently. So does it hold up against my other favorite party games like Apples

I first played Dungeons and Dragons when I was 10 years old. For years, I was constantly lost in the realms of shadow demons, kobolds, hook horrors and of course... the trademark dragons. During this time, I also became an avid viewer of sci-fi. I watched 'Star Trek' reruns religiously. I stayed up way too late on Saturday nights to catch classic sci-fi movies on the tube. I was first

Pfew! New house, new job, new... well... that's pretty much it but the last two months have really taken it out of me. I figured it was time for me to pop in here to Hyde and Geek and update the world on why there's been no new posts. Here's the main scoop. I'm slowly transforming this site from a news site into a personal blog. Oh! I'm sure I'll still post fun stuff and news that I find

Check out this clip for an upcoming fan-made Batman series called 'The Batman Chronicles'. If the teaser is any indication, this could be fun. For more info, and to help fund the project, check out the serie's IndieGogo page.

Due to some issues with my personal life, the Hyde and Geek / Kids Need to Read Tweetathon is on hold for now. I am still planning on holding the event but, at this time, I don't know when that's going to be. Stay tuned to this page for more info and thanks for understanding.

For the last two years, I've hosted a fun (and often funny) experiment that I call the Hyde and Geek/Kids Need to Read 36 Hour Tweetathon. The idea is that I will sit in front of my computer and tweet every ten minutes for 36 hours straight with no sleep and, after a while, very little sanity. All of this is done to help raise money for charity. In this case, the charity is Kids Need to

It seems like 'Frankenweenie' isn't the only fun kids movie this year that's going to delve into darker territory. The new flick 'ParaNorman' from Laika is the story of a young boy named Norman (hence the punny title) who sees dead people. But when an evil witch threatens to cause the dead to return to life, it's up to Norman and his rag-tag band of friends to save the day. Sounds pretty fun to

I haven't been a fan of most of Tim Burton's work since the horrible 'Planet of the Apes' remake back in 2001. It seems as if the once genius filmmaker has slipped into a coma of remakes and adaptations that have his visual flair but not his heart. Hopefully that will change with Disney's upcoming 'Frankenweenie'. 'Frankenweenie' is a full length version of Burton's own 1984 short film of the

Today, for the first time since 1999’s ‘Muppets from Space’, Kermit and the gang hit the big screen. If you read this blog at all, you already know I’m a big… nay… huge fan of Jim Henson’s lovable band of misfits. So, going in, it is natural to assume that I fully expected to enjoy ‘The Muppets’. But, I do remember the mediocre outings that were ‘Muppets from Space’ and ‘Muppet Treasure Island’,

Ever wondered what it would look like if the crew of the 1960's Adam West 'Batman' were to make a trailer for the dark and realistic world of 'The Dark Knight'? Well wonder no longer! Here it is! And as corny as it looks, I unashamedly admit that I would so watch this if it were ever actually made.

Yeah... Here I am again with another Muppets update and video. So sue me. Either way, you know how Google+ was supposed to be the awesome Facebook killer? Well, as it turns out, it's not so much. The coolest feature of G+, though, had to be the hangout. It allowed for multiple people to video-chat realtime. Now, the Muppets and the creators of the new 'The Muppets' movie have taken advantage of

Okay. I realize that since my comic reviews are now on ScienceFiction.com, this blog is starting to look like a Muppet fan site and that's okay by me since I'm a HUGE Muppet fan. That said, here's the latest trailer for Jason Segel's new 'The Muppets' movie that hits theaters this November. Watch it whether you're a fan or not. It's funny. But honestly... if you're not a fan of the Muppets..

I went to see 'Ghostbusters' on the big screen and when the new 'The Muppets' trailer popped up, I was in heaven! I was grinning like a total spaz and nearly bounding out of my seat! I can't wait to see this movie! I'm already planning my outfit for opening night and... ahem... I digress. Here's the new trailer for your Muppety enjoyment... And while I don't have any AMC theaters in my

The Muppets Facebook page just posted a new parody trailer. They make you "like" the page to see it. I expect that most sane people would like a Muppet page already but, in case you don't, here's the trailer...

The internet is abuzz about the new Nike Mag sneakers from 'Back to the Future II'. Actually... so was I until I saw THESE! Adidas will be releasing limited edition Kermit the Frog sneakers. They'll be available through City Sole as early as late October and in stores during the month of November. These would be perfect to wear with my Kermit tee when I go opening day to see 'The Muppets'
