On Hiatus - On Hold, or Done?? or, is it a new chapter about to undfold??
After our last gig, our band leader called a band meeting to say that he does not have enough time to devote to the band anymore and is needing to call it at this time. Our hope is to have one last (better) show, to go out on. A fund raiser for our youth going on summer missions trips? Hopefully there is calling to put together one last good show to end it on. One good cause that need us and what we can give to it in His name. Because that is what brought us together in the first place. So like this Lenten season which brings and ending, but blesses with new beginnings, "our strength will grow, as we shall wait upon the Lord". Here is to seeking out the unknown, in that still speaking small voice.

A great show on Feb. 5th @ 7pm SuperBowl Eve! Rock the Fox '2011 Battle of the Bands' many of the areas best CCM & +alt bands. W2Fire, Jennifer Benson, T.O.W., As Filthy Rags, & more ... A "battle of the CCM bands", kinda sounds like a revisit of the crusades or something like that, but none of that, we just want to meet & greet to make new friends with other CCM bands for future event possibilities. That and have just an Awesome rockin' Time!

Witness to Fire Band opens for a multiple band event, "Rock the Fox" this Sat. Nov6th @7pm 2010. At Lakview Fox Lake Park Dist. Building. Admission is a canned food donation to help replenish the food pantry (or small cash donation). Positive message CCM rock music. We open with one 45 min. set at 7pm. Be there or be square.

Looking Forward to getting back

After some time off, we are looking forward to getting back together just to make some music agian! You know, three weeks and you really start to miss it! Sensing that everyone wants to get back to it, plug-in and make music with your friends - it is the greatest! Life is good. Thank the Lord for blue tubes glowing,amps n equipment setups, and guitar chords a- flowing!

We just arrived back from a Great weekend clebrating the wedding of Drew & Brenden Harder. It was awesome to be invited to be apart of the event. The rains cleared, the sun shown, I heard the birds chriping and smelled the beauty of the northwoods as they exchanged vows. It was beautiful. The band played w/ Mathew on drums and it was a Beautiful Day!

After deliberation, Our newest guitarist Jerry has decided to move on to other pursuits, and now in steps Kevin Jr, this time adding electric to his playing also, versatility you got to love it. We all wish Jerry the very best, and know that this was not an easy decision. We hope his Path is what and where he is being called to do. We all need to find the silence, where we can hear the spirit of the still small voice telling us how to move.

from Psalm 107, 19-21; "they cried to the Lord in their troubles, and he saved them from their distress; He sent out his word and it healed them, and delivered them from destruction. Let us thank the Lord for His steadfast Love, for His Wonderful works to mankind. And let us offer prayers of thanksgiving sacrifice, and tell of His deeds with of songs of Joy. "
Lets all turn to Him in times of trouble. He will protect, deliver and heal. And we can revel in Him with songs of joy!

To see the beauty of the spirit at work in others, that moving our faith outside of the church into the streets of our community can show that this love, his love is alive and still speaking today.
I seek to grow in my own understanding of what it means to be a Still speaking voice. There are many unknowns - I don’t know it all, I don’t know how to do it all, or be it all, but with your help – no matter who, where, no matter what, there is room to grow. Are you ready to dive in?

If you find it hard to ask for help or impossible to forgive yourself, you are not alone. What we can do is accept the forgiveness of each other and one another. Forgiveness is not an achievement, it is a gift. What we receive each week at worship: Forgiveness is - a gift from God. What we receive from each other is help. How, then can we not receive His gifts?

How do we "roll the stone away", form our past and become the the Christians and the kind of church that Jesus would have us be? If we emphasis the changing church as a key to survival, we should take a look at ourselves, at our own spiritural and personal transformation. When the church becomes a place of positive interaction with others his people will have a deeper connection to Jesus; and see the positive change they can make in thier community. THen the light shines forth from the tomb.
