When Tendulkar embarked on a glorious career taming Imran and company, Roger Federer was a name unheard of; Lionel Messi was in his nappies, Usain Bolt was an unknown kid in the Jamaican backwaters. The Berlin Wall was still intact, USSR was one big, big country, Dr Manmohan Singh was yet to "open" the Nehruvian economy.

It seems while Time was having his toll on every individual on the face of this planet, he excused one man. Time stands frozen in front of Sachin Tendulkar. We have had champions, we have had legends, but we have never had another Sachin Tendulkar and we never will.

I saw trailor of this movie while watching Inception movie. I love this trailor very much and I am eagerly waiting for release of this movie.

Just check the animation quality of this movie in the trailor. What I liked most is the eyes of the owl.

I had really awesome weekend. My first trip in monsoon 2010 to Satara. Me, my wife, my brother and my cousin went to satara by new i10 bought by my uncle. It was very awesome drive as I drove a new hyundai i10 on superb NH4. Here are few pics from my excursion.

This is the first software application written by me :). Its a game brainvita. If you have winxp operating system and patience to follow the steps mentioned below, please give a try.

1] Download the zip file brainvita.zip
2] Create a folder "tc" in your c drive
3] extract the zip file in "c:\tc" folder
4] after extracting zip file, folder structure should look like this
c drive -> tc folder -> bgi folder and brainvita.exe
5] Double click brainvita.exe and enjoy the game. Visit help section if required.

Few days back I had been to AR Rahman live concert. At the venue a booklet called "Know your india" was distributed. While reading that booklet I came across following poem by Rabindranath Tagore. Well all of us have come across this poem sometime in our school days. I am wondering when my country will become similar to the country described in this poem.

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high;

Where knowledge is free;

Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic wars;

The Last Lecture

Currently I am reading a book "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch. Here I am going to mention few lines from that book, which I liked very much and why I liked them.

"Complaining does not work as a strategy. We all have finite time and energy. Any time we spend whining is unlikely to help us achieve our goals. And it won’t make us happier."
I have met a lot of people in last few years and I have a general observation. People who have nice personality generally don’t complain. I know few people who are always happy. This doesn’t mean they don’t have any problem or issues but they will always share good things/happy moments with you. Such people share their problems very rarely and keep those discussions small and to the point. I have observed that I love to spend time with such people and like to have friendship with them. That’s why I feel I should always share good things with my friends and not my problems and issues cause every one has his/her own set of issues. I am not unique.

"Watch What They Do, Not What They Say".
We are deceived by many people in our day today life. Many a times we need to determine who is lying and who is not. Well above statement is answer to the problem. But it’s easier said than done.

"Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity."
I feel luck is last the last hurdle to achieve the target. There is no point in blaming the failure to bad luck unless we have overcome all remaining hurdles.

"All you have to do is Ask."
Well I have experienced this many a times. You never know who can help you in which way.

Shanghai Visit

Hey my first air travel happened to be an international travel with connecting flight at Singapore and destination china. I got bombarded with all kinds of experiences. I am sharing those with you.
I started Sat afternoon. a white ford fiesta came at my home to drop me at airport. laaj watali swatachi :) :) I do not deserve such a luxury. I went inside airport at 6 pm and my flight was at 00:30 am. I had started early since there was heavy raining on that day. First off all i just roamed around airport baggage check in area. At that time few security guards were roaming around. After some time an announcement was done few times saying that , a black hand bag is found near immigration area plz contact Airport in charge. No one came. Now security guards vacated the area kept sand bags around that bag. I was wondering what will happen now. After 15-20 mins Bomb Disposal squad came and they started there operation. Initially i found all these events interesting but in last few minutes I was very afraid. Specially when Bomb Disposal team was opening that bag with there suit similar to astronauts. Finally there was nothing in bag.
I started procedure of luggage check in at 8 pm and was done by 9. I found the security system at Bombay airport awesome. Every minor details were being examined. After personal security check was over. I had to spend 2 1/2 hours before boarding would have started. Renovation on mumbai airport is going on. So some part of airport has become world class. I thought wow this is a beautiful airport. Singapore madhe shabda mage :)
ok now boarding, I never saw airoplane from outside since it was night. I directly entered the aircraft. Business class seats looked awesome. Unwillingly I moved to economy class area. Since i had taken my boarding pass Early I got nice seats for both flights. Bom to Singapore and Singapore to shanghai. Both seats were window seats near wings. Singapore airlines Wow...... I dont have exp of other airlines but i dont think service to ticket price ratio will be better than this. There was a small TV infront of each seat. with collection of movies , audio, flight info etc etc. Air hostesses were smart and cute :).
First take off experience my life. after plane just left ground i looked around me in plane and i looked back again though window and I was shocked How the hell we came so high. Mumbai looks awesome from sky in night. After that there was nothing to look out side . I started watching movies.
Woke up because some light coming from window. I Iooked outside window.. Wow what a view !!!!! There was no cloud above plane. Far away I was seeing one more plane a very tiny toy plane. I just checked height on Flight info screen. It was 11000 meter. and plane was rock steady. This is called engineering and not what I am doing. Outside view was just awesome clear blue sky and patially cloudy other blue background below. Sun was just rising. It was awesome sunrise I had ever seen in my life. I checked out side air temp on screen it was -30 degree celcius. Just imagine kind of requirements elex and mech engineers of that plane would have got. Pilot some anna person shridharan said that we will be landing soon. Now as plane started descending though clouds i was able to see a constant flow of condensed water on wings. At the time of landing I thought how the hell Pilot controls his plane. Its a tough job. Not a easy job despite of those hi-fi electronic control system. Surely not an easy job.
Just got out of the plane and entered Singapore Airport. I was nice sunny morning. Now my paradigm of good airport was totally shifted. This airport is even better than Shanghai airport. Its a huge airport 25 gates on A side of terminal. I dont know how many other terminals are there. Its huge. Very few people were at airport. I looked at other people on airport. I thought hey I am in india. At an airport facility I used to see atleast half the employees of indian origin or may be Indian also. Right from people who keep airport clean to Security check personnel. Half of the people around me were indians. I was very comfortable.
Ok now you must have got bored after reading so much lines. I'll stop writing now. I'll write again tomorrow. Bye .
