Got my new office! I am excited not to be in the make shift office in the filing room!! Ready to do some business!! Oh yeah and might I add that we are in a pretty sharp building on the corner of Staples Mill and Radford Avenue!
Basially across from Puritan Cleaners and down a block from the Crazy Greek!

Trip Home

Went home this last weekend and it was a good visit. The trip was mostly to go up and get my fiance from school because she is doing her internship but it was nice to see my family. I was able to see as many ppl as humanly possible in 5 days. I went out 2 nights and saw some friends and had some drinks, I was hoping to do it more hahaha but that was good I didnt. The trip went well and I am glad to be back at work... yes I just said that hahaha!

Driving to work this morning and my future mother-in-law calls me to tell me that the office is flooded. On a side note yes I do work with and for my in-laws. Moving on, the toilet tank had cracked sometime after 6 oclock and had been running all over the office all night! The carpet was submerged and man did it tear apart some paper hahaha! Anyway, so I am sitting here with huge fans blowing and a humidifier running.... sounds like I am working at a factory!

All is well now business wise, except our receptionist had to go home due to the inability to breath, lucky her!!!!

So I was told that my license "should be issued" today by the SCC of Virginia! I am stoooooooked! I am seriously ready to do flips because this mean I dont have to tip toe around and say I am speaking on behalf of so and so! AAAAAAAHHHHHH I am legit!

Today marks the 3 week mark until I get to go home and visit and I have 3 more weeks til I have been doing P90X for 60 days also. I cant wait to go home and be like look at me! I am getting straight cut! I am supper stooked! Sorry that was a random rant! HAHAHAAH

March Madness

So it is official! My bracket is not yet completely busted. I think that I have 8 teams left in the sweet 16 from my pics. I have successfully picked 3 of the big upsets and that has helped tremendously. I am hoping that they continue! NC State needs to at least get to the Elite 8 and I have that gut feeling that if they play UNC they will beat them, considering they only lost by 1 last time they played in the ACC tourney. We shall see! Bracketology at its finest.

So the state department of insurance needs to approve my license! I do not have any felonies... I got a 93 on my state exam! What else do I gotta do to get this done! The Cog

So slowly but surely I am seeing that at the office I have become the cog that makes the wheel continue to turn. Not the main one but if I was not there it would not be smooth sailing. I may have the small minute "beggers cant be choicers" tasks but it is crucial to the every day function. I hope that can continue when I get my license and I can help to grow this business to eventually take it over!

Some days I wonder just how slow things can be? I mean no phone calls today... Granted it is nice as hell outside. I have some filing I could do, but thats a procrastinated job becuase it is BS! I think what I am going to do is in 20 mins I am going to do a live draft for my Fantasy Baseball League! Thats right! At work I am going to do that and thats just how it is going to be! Anyone really read this stuff?

Today is the 4th day since we changed the time ahead, and I am still stuck back an hr! I think it may have to do with the day that we jumped ahead I was hung over but still! I think that the mental twist that daylight savings time puts on your brain is ridiculous. I dont wanna wake up a hr early every morning and when I wake up I dont want it to be dark! I want to feel my day is normal again! CAN I HAVE A NORMAL MOMENT! HAHAHAHAHA!

If anyone has every had a background check to get something completed like a job and maybe a license of some sort then you know my pain and frustration. I definitely have been waiting like 2 weeks for this background check to come back at it sure has not! They charged me probably a week ago for it so when that happened I was hopeful... still a week later WTF mate! Rant over!

I wake up this morning with a wrecked thumb and a tweeked groin! Man I tell ya what, I need to get more flexible to do this BJJ stuff. I might have to do yoga every day when I am not at the school! Maybe then I wont be groaning when I step and try to pick something up. On the plus side its my left hand so not much use for it when it comes to regular function and I learned a ton last night in class so that would the huge plus! So today back to the grind at the office. I had something to do last week becuase I had a primary role and was handling things, etc. Now I am back in the filing room in a secondary role. I am still waiting for the background check to come back someday so I can be a licensed agent and it can be done and over with a wallah! Oh well life is life!

So the flow at the office has started to become more second nature. I used to have no clue what people were asking for on the phone and what the day was to bring. I am getting more used to how it is supposed to go and how to do certain things! I am excited to get my background check back and to get my official license finallly!!!!!! I have officially realized that some girls, it is impossible to be friends with when you are in a relationship cuz they think anything that you that is "flirty" at all they bug out! I didnt know a compliment to a friend was cosidered flirty and was the end of the world! Remind to not give out any compliments even if it is that you look nice today. Forget that we have been friends for liek 3 years! Not even going to get into what you have said to me!

I wake up this morning and sloth into the bathroom like I usually do. I step on the carpet in front of the sink, like I do every morning. The carpet decided that it did not want to stay where it was and I tocked my chin of the sink! I will tell you that happened at 740 and my head is still spinning! My brain I think is sitting on the ceiling of the bathroom while I am at work and spaced out!

BJJ & P90X

Today will be day 2 of BJJ and man am I wore out from doing that and P90X. I am honestly not sure if both at the same time is good. I think when the time comes I weight 170 lbs, I may or may not stop. All I am asking for is to have a six pack and fight or grapple in a competition of some sort.

I would have to say working into the 5th week and thru the next 7 weeks of this BJJ intro program I may get there but who knows.

So I am sitting here. When my mother in law is here this place is a zoo. There is so much to do. She has a ton of stuff to do and I help cuz I am learning. She is in Puerto Rico, yes she has the better end of the deal here! I am sitting at her desk this week, the phone is barely ringing... The task that need to be done are very limited.... CONFUSED! Please send me some business VA!!!!!! HAHAHAHA!

Dentist....

The feared word in many people minds! I went to the dentist for the first time in probably 2 years (I know that awful!). My teeth are in good health, I need to floss more (dont we all). I apparently have some spots that need to have fillings and I may have to have a tooth crowned in the coming years. I would say that I have taken good care of my teeth up to this point but it is what it is. Dr. Mullins, DDS in Richmond is a good dentist and did some good work today. Some suggestions he had for me were the flossing but also getting a night guard and also possibly getting braces on the top to move some of my teeth around that have slide forward and could be causing some issues. With that said I will be going back in July to get the fillings done and possibly the nightguard and then the second set of filling another date. Moral of the story go to the dentist! Phil 4:13

BJJ is amazing!

I just wanted to give an update about my BJJ intro class. WOWWWWW! I am stooked! I hope to be able to continue after the intro class however it is a little pricey after the initial tease of 16 lessons for 50 bucks hahaha! I was able to work on a few moves as well as open grapple with a few of the blue belts and the black belt instructor.... needless to say I faired very poorly against andrew beign that he is a black belt. He said good job cuz I lasted 30 seconds longer then a few of the guys! If anyone reads this check into it around ur area! I know for my new york people there is a great gym over on lake road where P&C used to be. Check it out! If your down in the 804 check out Revolution BJJ! They need just a few more clients and we can open the gym up!!!! Phil 4:13
