It is a commission and the subject matter lays close to my heart as it is of an era that I have so many fond memories of. The painting is 12"x24" framed with a dark cordoba and gold colored inset frame. The picture is quite a bit darker or richer in color. I fear when I took the picture the conditions were not the best.

Jerry's Java

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 198px; height: 200px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_aAbXmkDFkMk/SRX823RWvxI/AAAAAAAAANs/jtEJlbuIP00/s200/Jerry%27s+Java+%231.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5266393358759542546" />
This is the second cup and hand on the series. Senators, Business people, children and fellow artists. I do not tell an untruth in saying that there had to be at least 1000 plus people at the dinner held at the Fred Oldfield Museum in Puyallup, Washington. Many toasts, music and proclamations such as making March the Fred Oldfield month and many more. With a backdrop of Fred's paintings from 1930 until now we were given his history in the arts down through the years. What a gentleman as all agreed, as the hall was filled with love for this man. Happy Birthday Fred.

The photo is Julie Quesnell and GG Pearson celebrating.

Collage of Fred

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_aAbXmkDFkMk/R-RL1X8zbUI/AAAAAAAAALc/_quH1_ZyzY0/s200/fred+collage.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5180348851717107010" />
This picture is special because it is the only collage that I have ever done. This picture is also special because it is of a very special person, a great Western artist and a great man Fred Oldfield. GG and I are attending the celebration of Fred's 90th birthday the 29th of March which will be held at his Western Heritage Museum in Puyallup, Wa. We are supposed to bring something red such as cards or anything to put up on the wall and I wanted to do something unusual for this occassion. I will tell you all about it when I get back the 30th of March. A gala affair.

Wide Open Spaces

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_aAbXmkDFkMk/R-Gjgn8zbTI/AAAAAAAAALU/HdifzqkR_Vk/s200/2+lonely+cowboys.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5179600827327933746" />
We all love the wide open spaces on our rangelands.
