10 Reasons Why I Work From Home

You can ask 20 people why they work from home and you will probably get 20 different answers. As for me, there are numerous reasons but for time sake I will just list my top 10.

1. Home & Family. You can be there for your family and work your schedule round their very demanding one!

2. Be Your Own Boss. The gratification of knowing that you are working hard for your self, not your boss is hard to beat.

3. Everyday is bring your dog to work day.

4. I can work in my pj’s.

5. Flexible time. You decide when you work and when you play. You’re liberated from the clock and a schedule. You may have certain projects, meeting or deadlines you need to attend to, but you have more flexibility as to when you work on them and how working blocks of time are organized.

6. Work anywhere. This is the most obvious one, right?

7. If the craving for brownies or fresh-baked bread strikes, no problem!

8. Going for a walk in the sun does not require prior permission

9. Avoid the nasty weather. This may sound silly but I love to avoid the bad weather.

10. Holidays! Last but just as important! You can book your own holidays in your diary. You can run your own ‘flexi-time’ and work in the middle of the night, dusk or dawn if the fancy takes you and then take the day off in the sunshine (need to make the most of it when it appears)

20 Fresh Ideas For Your Business!

I came across this list not long ago in an effort to get some new ideas for my Scentsy business. I am always thinking of ways to improve or get the word out there to people who may not have heard of Scentsy. Some of you have probably seen or done the majority of these. Hopefully there are some ideas on here that you haven't thought of or done before. Do you have any ideas not mention?

1. Leave samples, catalogs, or flyers in bathrooms
2. Put information on bulletin boards
3. Put catalogs in waiting rooms
4. Wear a name tag
5. Host a home show
6. Put an ad in newspaper
7. Advertise in church bulletin
8. Have a fundraiser for your favorite charity
9. Offer a bridal registry
10. Set goals
11. Give products as donations
12. Make at least 5 calls per day pertaining to your business
13. Set up a booth at trade shows, fairs, expos, flea-markets
14. Mail-out specials, catalogs, and/or samples to everyone you know
15. Have "special occasion" specials (i.e. Mother's Day, Valentines, etc...)
16. Do random mailings (open the phone book and pick)
17. Attach your business card to everything
18. Put a flyer and business card in all outgoing mail, birthday cards, bills, letters, etc...
19. Contact schools for a fundraiser
20. Host a "New Season Sampling Night"

On March 1, we will launch our second product line extension for Spring/Summer 2012: Layers by Scentsy–personal AND laundry care products infused with your favorite Scentsy fragrances and custom-designed for Scentsy. We worked with the best suppliers in the industry to bring you personal care products you will LOVE. With Layers by Scentsy you can create a fragrance experience that is uniquely yours, and layer your life with fragrance. There are nine Layers by Scentsy products–eight new ones, plus Scentsy Solid Perfume. New personal care products include: Shower Gel, Shower Cream, Body Lotion, Body Butter, Hand Cream, and Body Spray. In addition to world-class personal care products, two new laundry care products allow you to extend your Scentsy experience to your clothes. Washer Whiffs is a perfume for your laundry. Simply add it to the wash cycle with your detergent to scent your clothes. Then, toss your laundry into the dryer and add a Dryer Disk. Ok…by now almost everyone has heard of Scentsy. I was one of those who recently just found out about Scentsy when a friend of mine at church starting selling it. She came to me one Wednesday night before service started and handed me the most recent catalog. I have to admit, the first thought that went through my mind was how expensive some of the products were but I was so eager to try them. I finally got my first warmer, plug-in and bars and absolutely loved them! Now my home smells great! I have not looked back at candles ever since Scentsy has come into my life. After seeing and smelling first-hand the products Scentsy has to offer, I decided to sign up and sell Scentsy for myself. Now, months later, I can say that being an Independent Scentsy Consultant is the best choice I have ever made.
