I took some cute pictures of the dogs today - Bubby is just the cutest little dog He's a great player with Buttercup I also got a few pictures of him in the backyard too - he loves to dart around and bark and harass the neighbours But he's so cute when he does it, what can you do?

Buttercup and Bubby love to play tug of war, and a couple days ago I caught a few seconds of it on tape - I bought a new little gadget - a pair of glasses that has a web cam in it - it's going to take me awhile to figure out the technology - but I think once I do - I'm going to get some good shots from it!

I have by time talked about dog politics as it relates to HRM Council on this blog - and I felt compelled to say something about the foolishness that's currently going on at Council about the naming of the "Oval" and whether or not the city should take sponsor money from a beer company. They have wasted literally days on whether or not to take $400,000 over 10 years from Molson for advertising

A dog named Nells died today - I took this picture of her back in 2005 at a vigil that we had the day before bsl took effect up in Ontario with her sister Smudge. The Benoits lose their appeal in their 2007 puppy selling/assault case

The Digby Courier has reported that the Benoit's have lost their appeal of their 2007 case when they had puppies seized by the SPCA for being full of worms, and Gail Benoit assualted an SPCA Officer - for which she served 21 days in jail - the only time she's ever served time in jail for anything she's ever been found guilty of over the years. Today we went to Long Lake Provincial Park and the dogs had a fabulous time - it was a beautiful day out. I hope all winter stays like this - that would be great. The dogs of course found every mud puddle that they could - which is lovely for white dogs - Bubby especially likes to come home as black as possible - I don't know what it is about white dogs and mud. Bubby must just like to take baths

Happy 1 Year Birthday To Bubby

Today is Bubby`s one year birthday - one year ago today he was born in his puppy mill in Cape Breton where he lived for the first 6 months of his life. I`m not sure what his life was like there - but I`m pretty sure it was very much less than ideal based on his quirks that he had when he came to live with me. He`s been here for 5 months now, and he still has a lot of the quirks that he came here
