Toothless Woman Robs Bank, Tells Detectives She Planned To Spend The Money On A New Set Of Dentures

Waynesburg, Pa. (The Weekly Vice) - Evelyn Marie Fuller, a 49-year-old Carmichaels resident was jailed Tuesday after she allegedly robbed a bank to raise money for a new set of dentures.

According to Waynesburg Borough police, Fuller entered the First National Bank on January 20th at 4:57 p.m., minutes before it was due to close. She then handed the teller a note demanding an undisclosed amount of cash.

Surveillance video showed a toothless woman exiting a vehicle before entering the bank to commit the robbery. An employee of the bank recognized Fuller from her church and was able to identify her to police.

Detectives questioned Fuller, but initially had to let her go due to lack of evidence. A witness, however, brought a jacket to the police station Monday and stated that it was the very same jacket Fuller wore during the robbery. He stated that Fuller borrowed the jacket and then returned it to him after the alleged robbery.

With mounting evidence against her, Fuller turned herself in to authorities on Thursday and admitted to committing the robbery.

Fuller explained that she robbed the bank because she didn't have any teeth and wasn't able to afford dentures. She went on to explain that she had hoped to put the money towards a new set of dentures since her disability checks didn't provide enough income to purchase them on her own.

Fuller was booked into the Greene County Jail and charged with two counts of robbery and one count each of theft and making terroristic threats. She is being held in lieu of $75,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday for a preliminary hearing.

Rachel Farrell - Teacher - Charged With Having Sex With Multiple Students

Bangor, PA (The Weekly Vice) - Rachel Farrell aka Rachel Werner, a 25-year-old English teacher at a Bangor area high school has been jailed after she allegedly had sex with at least one 17-year-old student. Police believe, however, that she had sex with several other students as well.

According to Northampton County Prosecutors, Farrell allegedly had an ongoing sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student after she seduced him on Facebook.

Investigators say Farrell had sex with the student multiple times at various locations including a Wal-Mart parking lot and a motel.

The victim told detectives Farrell was his 11th grade reading teacher and that she would regularly book a room at the Tannersville Ramada Inn so she could have sex with him.

Farrell reportedly began her affair with the student just two months after she was married.

Farrell allegedly admitted to having sex with the student and several other 17-year-old students. Three of the students Farrell is accused of having sex with have not been cooperative with police, according to Northampton District Attorney, John Morgenelli.

Farrell was booked into jail and charged with three misdemeanor counts of corruption of a minor. Morgenelli stated that a misdemeanor charge was appropriate in this case because the students involved were 16 years old and willing participants to the affair.

Christina Preston - Teacher - Charged With Molesting 14-Year-Old Student

Columbus, GA (The Weekly Vice) - Christina Preston, a 44-year-old special education teacher at Veterans Memorial Middle School was jailed Monday after she allegedly raped a 14-year-old student

According to Columbus police, officers were dispatched to the boy's home late Monday after receiving a complaint about an alleged sexual assault by a teacher.

Investigators say the alleged sexual assault took place at about 12:30 a.m. at or near Cooper Creek Park.

Preston, who has been with the district for 19 years, was placed on administrative leave by the school on Tuesday pending an investigation. She will remain on leave for a 10 day period as prescribed by Georgia law.

Preston was booked into the Muscogee County Jail and charged with two counts of child molestation, enticing a child for indecent purposes and sexual assault against persons in custody.

Marian Searchwell Wasn't GoingTo Go Quietly - Attacked Husband After He Brings New Girl Home, Orders Her From Bedroom

Vero Beach, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Marian Searchwell, a 56-year-old Vero Beach woman was jailed after she allegedly grabbed her estranged husband's shirt and his neck because he wanted to use the bed she was in to sleep with another woman he brought home.

According to the Indian River County Sheriff's Office, Searchwell began arguing with her husband after he allegedly brought another woman to their home and asked her to leave the master bedroom, so that he and his female friend could use the bed.

When Searchwell refused to leave the bed, her husband picked her up and physically removed her. In retaliation, Searchwell allegedly grabbed his shirt and neck, leaving several minor abrasions.

Investigators say the couple lived together, but considered themselves separated after 5 months of marriage.

Searchwell was booked into the Indian River County Sheriff's Office and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery. Her bond was set at $500.

Mark Berndt - Teacher - Charged With Blindfolding Young Students, Feeding Them His Semen

Los Angeles, California (The Weekly Vice) - Mark Berndt, a 61-year-old former teacher at Miramonte Elementary school in Los Angeles was jailed Monday after he allegedly tied up 23 of his students and then fed them his semen.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office, an investigation was launched after a film processor discovered 40 photographs that depicted a large number of students (ages 7 to 10) blindfolded with their mouths taped shut.

Some photos allegedly showed Berndt with his arm around several students, some of which showed Berndt's hands over their mouths. Other photos showed students with roaches crawling on their faces and mouths.

More disturbing photos showed young girls who were blindfolded with a spoon held up to their mouths. The photos showed a semen-like substance on the spoon.

The same spoon and a container was found in the trash that tested positive for semen. A DNA sample of the substance found on the spoon and container was a positive match for Berndt.

All of the photos were reportedly taken at the school, during school hours. Most of the children have been identified as Berndt's students. Ten of the students seen in the photographs have still not been identified.

A search warrant was served on Berndt's residence. More than 100 photographs were found that depicted similar abuse to children. Detectives believe the alleged crimes took place between 2008 and 2010.

More than 80 current and former students of the school have been interviewed and there has been no determination as to why no one came forward to report the abuse.

Berndt was booked into jail and charged with 23 counts of felony child molestation. His bond was set at $2.3 million.

Somerset, Wisconsin (The Weekly Vice) - Sisters Valerie Bartkey, 24, and Amanda Johnson, 17, have been jailed after they allegedly sexually assaulted a man with a pair of pliers, then forced him to drink one sister's urine.

According to police, an 18-year-old Wisconsin man told police that he had been sexually tortured with a pair of pliers while he was being held by two sisters at a home in Somerset, Wisconsin.

Investigators say the two sisters first struck him and kicked him before soaking his shoes in a toilet. The women then brought the man a drink and told him it was lemonade. When he drank it, he discovered that it was urine, provided by one of the sisters.

When the victim refused to have sex with Bartkey, the two girls retaliated by forcing the man to remove his clothing and then torturing him with a pair of pliers. One sister allegedly squeezed his penis with the pliers while the other sister struck him repeatedly with a belt.

When asked to rate the level of pain he endured from 1 to 10, the victim rated his pain at 10.

The man also stated that Bartkey's 4-year-old daughter was crying in the next room while the assault took place.

The woman were booked into jail and charged with second-degree sexual assault by force, battery and criminal damage to property.

Johnson was also charged with intimidating a witness after she allegedly called and threatened to victim after the incident had taken place.

Ashley Stevens - Charged With Huffing Aerosol Can While Young Son Cried "Something Is Wrong With Mommy"

Eau Claire, Wis. (The Weekly Vice) - Ashley Stevens, a 26-year-old Wisconsin woman was jailed Monday after she was allegedly caught huffing in a Wal-Mart bathroom while her toddler son cried for help.

According to police, officers were called to an Eau Claire Walmart after a customer found Stevens in a bathroom stall huffing from an aerosol can.

The customer was alerted after hearing a child crying out that something was wrong with his mommy. The customer broke into the stall and grabbed away the can after Stevens appeared to be passed out.

When Stevens regained consciousness, she stormed out of the bathroom and continued shopping. Customers watched her until police arrived on the scene.

On Friday, Stevens was arrested once again for driving under the influence with the same little boy in the car. Investigators say Stevens was passed out at the wheel, with a syringe in her coat pocket. Needle marks found on her arm showed recent signs of drug use.

Stevens now faces charges of intentionally abusing a hazardous substance, and driving under the influence. She is due back in court in March.

Man Beats Ex-Girlfriend Unconscious, Waits For Her To Wake Up So He Can Talk Getting Back Together

Conway, Arkansas (The Weekly Vice) - An unnamed man is under investigation after he allegedly beat his ex-girlfriend unconscious, then waited for her to wake up so he could talk about repairing his relationship with her.

According to Conway police, officers were dispatched to Conway Regional Medical center after a woman arrived at Conway Regional Hospital with domestic battery related injuries.

Investigators say the woman told officers that her ex-boyfriend had been calling her all day, asking if he could pick up the last of his things from her residence. But when he arrived at the home, he wanted to talk about their break-up instead.

The couple had become engaged in an argument when the man allegedly stated that "if he couldn't have her, no one could." That's when he allegedly began striking the woman repeatedly in the face. The woman suffered a broken nose as a result and fell unconscious.

When the woman woke up, she found the man still inside her residence, wanting to talk about getting back together.

When the woman grabbed her phone and attempted to call for help, the man reportedly grabbed her phone and began striking her again. He eventually left the residence with her phone.

The woman walked to a nearby hospital where she was treated for her injuries.

The suspect has not yet been named while an investigation is pending

William Oller - Jailed After Shooting Son Over Karaoke Singing

Redding, Calif. (The Weekly Vice) - William Oller Sr., a 70-year-old California man was jailed after he allegedly shot his son over his karaoke singing.

According to the Shasta County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched Thursday after receiving a call of a reported shooting.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they found Oller Sr. standing outside a motor home which belongs to his 50-year-old son, William Oller Jr.

Deputies found Oller Jr. injured after he was struck at least four times with .22 caliber bullets.

Investigators say the shooting took place after Oller Sr. became angry with his son because he had been singing karaoke inside the house.

Oller Sr. reportedly went to his truck, grabbed a pistol and then pointed it at his son. A brief struggle over the gun ensued, and the gun was fired multiple times. Both men sustained gunshot wounds during the struggle.

Oller Jr. was treated at a local hospital for gunshots to his shoulder, arm and chest. He also sustained a head wound during the altercation. Oller Sr. received a minor wound to his thigh and was released into police custody.

Oller Sr. was booked into jail and charged with attempted murder. He remains held in lieu of $500,000 bond.

Oller Jr.'s attorney states that his client does not wish to see his father prosecuted.

Kimberly Sauto - Tap Dance Teacher - Jailed After "Tapping" 15 Year Old Student

Akron, Ohio (The Weekly Vice) - Kimberly Sauto, a 34-year-old dance teacher from North Ridgeville has been jailed after her husband reportedly turned her in for having sex with a 15-year-old student.

According to Summit County prosecutors, Sauto was taken to jail after a jury found her guilty of having sex with a student in her tap dancing class.

Investigators say Sauto and the boy had sex in her car after a tap dancing lesson in August, 2011. An investigation was launched after Sauto's husband found condoms in her dance bag and a text messages that conformed she was engaged in a sexual relationship with the boy.

At trial, Sauto admitted to writing love letters to the student and kissing him, but denied having sex with the boy. During testimony, Sauto admitted that she still loves the boy.

Sauto, a mother to two children, was booked into jail after Judge Jody Hunter revokes her bond. She is due to appear in court for sentencing on March 6.

Bethel, NC (The Weekly Vice) - Sarah Holmes, a 22-year-old teacher at North Pitt High School, has been jailed after she allegedly had an "inappropriate" relationship with a student.

According to the Pitt County Sheriff's Office, an investigation was launched in November after detectives received information alleging that Holmes had engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old student.

Although details of the case have not yet been revealed, investigators say the relationship involved "more than inappropriate conversation." The alleged relationship reportedly lasted from August to November.

Holmes, who was suspended by the school district on Nov. 21, turned herself in to authorities on Friday.

She was booked into jail on a felony charge of indecent liberties with a student. She was released after posting a $5,000 bond.

Dalisha Adams Had More Important Things To Do - Jailed After Abandoning Toddler Daughters At Busy Intersection

Brooklyn, New York (The Weekly Vice) Dalisha Adams, a 26-year-old Brooklyn woman was jailed Sunday after she allegedly dumped her two young daughters onto the street before driving off.

According to Brooklyn police, Adams reportedly left her two daughters, ages 2 and 3, on the street around 3:00 p.m..

Police were dispatched to the scene after receiving a 911 from and elderly couple who found the children standing alone next to a busy intersection.

The New York City Administration for Children's Services (ACS) was able to identify Adams and her children through pictures previously taken of them.

Investigators say the children were found near their grandmother's residence, however the grandmother was unaware that the children had been abandoned. She told police that she had no idea that the girls had been left alone until she saw their photographs on a local news station.

She is now attempting to gain full custody of the girls, who were taken to the Brookdale University Hospital for observation, and then placed in protective custody with ACS.

Adams' neighbors say they regularly heard Adams berating her daughters, cussing and shouting at them with foul-mouthed rants that could be heard throughout the apartment complex.

They say Adams blew up at the girls a short time before they were discovered abandoned, shouting "Stop crying. Shut the (expletive) up. I'm going to get you out of here."

Adams was booked into jail and charged with child endangerment.

Hal Weston Aspired To Be The Head Nurse - Jailed After Performing Sex Act On Unconscious Man

Logan, Utah (The Weekly Vice) - Hal Weston, a 46-year-old hospital caregiver from Laketown was jailed after he allegedly performed a sex act on an unconscious patient under his care.

According to Logan Police, officers were dispatched in response to a complaint about an intoxicated male who was asked to leave the premises, but refused.

Police arrived on the scene and loaded the suspect into the back seat of a police cruiser.

While en route to the Cache County Jail, the suspect passed out inside the cruiser. When the officer was unable to wake the man, the officer decided to take the suspect to an area hospital to get checked out.

The suspect was treated by hospital staff while the officer stood guard outside his room.

Investigators say the officer decided to check on the suspect after completing his written report.

The officer pulled back the patient's privacy curtain to find a hospital employee, identified as Hal Weston, performing a sex act on the unconscious man.

Weston was immediately taken into custody, and has since been terminated from his job.

Weston was booked into the Cache County Jail and charged with forcible sodomy, a first-degree felony. He was released the same day after posting bail. The unidentified victim was charged with trespassing, public urination, and public intoxication.

Sonia Watson - Wanted By Police After Robbing Business With Curling Iron

Toledo, Ohio (The Weekly Vice) - Sonia Watson, a 41-year-old Toledo woman is wanted by police after she allegedly tried to rob a local tax service business with a curling iron.

According to Toledo Police, Watson and her son entered Liberty Tax service Thursday evening using articles of clothing to conceal their faces.

When the pair saw that several customers were still inside the business, they lowered their masks and waited for customers to leave.

Once the last customer had left the establishment, Watson and her son covered their faces again and attempted to rob the clerks with a curling iron.

The employees refused to give the suspects any cash, and instead threw a chair and a plastic bottle at them. The suspects managed to grab a cash drawer anyway, then fled the scene.

Officers were able to identify the suspects because Watson had recently been to the business to have her tax return prepared. Both suspects are now fugitives. School Suspends Cancer Survivor Student After He Attempts To Grow Hair For Locks Of Love Charity

Burton, Michigan (The Weekly Vice) - J.T. Gaskins, a 17-year-old cancer survivor who decided to donate his hair to Locks of Love, has been honored by his school for his selfless compassion for others who are now battling cancer and other illnesses.

That should be the headline at the top of this article, but unfortunately it isn't.

The school Gaskins attends, Madison Academy in Burton Michigan, promptly suspended the student after learning about his plans.

Gaskins, who is a leukemia survivor, decided to grow his hair long and donate locks of hair to charity after learning about a family friend who is now battling cancer.

Locks of Love in a non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children who have lost their hair while battling illnesses like cancer. Their mission, as stated on their website, is to return a sense of self confidence and normalcy to children who suffer hair loss as a result of their treatment.

"This is something I want to do and I feel very strongly about it," said Gaskins, who was diagnosed with leukemia as an infant and has now been cancer free for seven years.

School administrators, however, state that long hair on boys is a violation of school policy. The school's governing body voted on Monday to suspend Gaskins after determining that he was in violation of the school's policy.

Gaskins' mother supports her son's fight to donate his hair and has started an online petition which she plans to present to the school board.

The petition has attracted more than 3,100 signatures so far - arguing that male students should have the ability to grow and donate their hair just like female students can. She is asking the school to amend its policy so that exception can be made for students who wish to donate to organizations like Locks of Love.

Now that the media has picked up the story, school superintendent Will Kneer has stated that the school board MAY look at the issue to see if a possible revision to the rule can be made.

Gaskins, however, has stated that he will refuse to cut his hair until he has made his donation - with or without the school's permission.

Jennifer Schultz - Teacher - Charged With Sexually Assaulting Two Students At Same Time

Hebron, North Dakota (The Weekly Vice) - Jennifer Schultz, a 25-year-old teacher at Hebron High School has been charged with sexually assaulting two of her students.

According to police, the incident began when four students (a 16-year-old, two 17-year-olds and an 18-year-old) arrived at Schultz' home in mid October, asking if she'd like to drink shots with them. Schultz reportedly agreed, providing the students with a bottle of Blue UV Vodka.

After drinking for some time, two of the boys (18 and 16) left with what was remaining of the Vodka. The two 17-year-old students went to Schultz bedroom to sleep, however, Schultz soon joined them, laying in-between the two boys.

Schultz allegedly began kissing the boys - eventually having sex with one of them while the other boy watched. When Schultz invited the other boy to have sex with her, he refused.

Undeterred, Schultz allegedly fondled the boy, but he continued to refuse and asked her to stop.

The two boys who left earlier in the evening returned to Schultz' home in the company of teenage girl. Schultz was reportedly angry with the two teens for bringing the girl and told them she couldn't come in. The girl reportedly drove off after throwing the bottle of Vodka from her car window.

All four boys stayed at the residence until morning, leaving between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m..

An investigation was launched after school officials received a complaint over the incident in November. Schultz reportedly resigned her position at the school and moved to Hawley, Minnesota after the investigation began.

Upon learning of a warrant for her arrest this week, Schultz waived extradition and turned herself in.

Schultz was booked into the Morton County Jail and charged with felony sexual assault, corruption of minors and delivery of alcohol to minors. She was released after posting a $5,000 bond.

Vernice Zagerman - Jailed After Attempting To Give Granddaughter To Strangers At Local Gas Station

Houston, Texas (The Weekly Vice) - Vernice Ruenell Zagerman, a 52-year-old Houston woman was jailed Monday after she attempted to give her 3-year-old granddaughter away at a gas station.

According to Houston Police, Zagerman reportedly took the child to a local Shell gas station and asked several patrons if they wanted the girl. Zagerman allegedly told several people she was giving the child away because she could "no longer care for her".

When she couldn't find any takers, Zagerman and the child got into a cab and fled the scene.

Investigators say witness called police, who stopped the cab and apprehended Zagerman a few blocks away from the gas station.

The child was released to the child's mother, who asked Zagerman to watch her daughter while she was at work.

Court records show that Zagerman has a long list of prior arrests that include assault, theft, and drug charges. In 2004, she served time in prison after assaulting a police officer.

Zagerman was booked into jail and charged with child endangerment. She is being held in lieu of $15,000 bond.

Misty Kullman - Jailed After Performing Sex Act On Man For $6

Shelby, North Carolina (The Weekly Vice) - Misty Marie Kullman, a 25-year-old North Carolina woman was jailed Tuesday after she allegedly performed a sex act on the street for $6.

According to the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office, officers were dispatched on a report of a suspicious vehicle.

When officers arrived on the scene, Kullman was sitting in the passenger seat of the vehicle. She told officers that the man driving the car had picked her up from her apartment complex so they could "ride around and talk".

Investigators say when police spoke to the man, he admitted that he had paid Kullman a $2 bill, three $1 bills, and some change to perform a sex act on him outside his vehicle, which was parked on the street.

Officers searched Kullman, and found the exact amount of money on her that the man had described. Kullman was apprehended, but the man was released without any charges after police took a written statement from him.

Kullman was booked into jail and charged with prostitution. According to court records, she has several felony charges for drug possession, as well as larceny and probation revocation charges. She was recently released from prison in September after serving 8 months for her fourth drug possession charge.

Dayna Purtee - Jailed After Demonstrating The Fastest Way To Get Out Of Jury Duty

Fort Worth, TX (The Weekly Vice) - Dayna Kay Purtee, a 53-year-old Texas woman has been jailed after she showed up for jury duty with a loaded gun.

According to the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office, Purtee had arrived at the county courthouse Tuesday morning to serve as a juror when she quickly ended up on the wrong side of the law.

Investigators say deputies found a loaded .32 caliber handgun among Purtee's belongings during the screening process at the courthouse's front entrance. Purtee was immediately placed under arrest.

Authorities did not announce a motive for bringing a handgun to court, however, Purtee's husband told local reporters that his wife began carrying a handgun several years ago after she was attacked outside a local convenience store.

Purtee was booked into jail and charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon in a place where weapons are prohibited.

Alicia Lyons - Jailed After Duct-Taping Toddler To Mat So He Wouldn't Move During Nap Time

Ludlow, KY (The Weekly Vice) - Alicia Lyons, a 20-year-old Kentucky daycare worker, was jailed Wednesday after she allegedly duct-taped a toddler to a mat so he wouldn't move during nap time.

According to police, an investigation was launched after a mother complained to police that her 18-month-old son had been duct taped to a sleeping mat during nap time.

Investigators say Lyons, an employee of Mustard Seeds Daycare, was observed duct-taping the child by another employee. The employee then waited several months before informing the child's mother about the incident.

During questioning, Lyons initially denied the allegations, but later admitted to duct-taping the toddler. She told investigators that she taped the child to the mat in an effort to get him to calm down and sleep.

Lyons was booked into the Kenton County Jail and charged with first-degree criminal abuse. She was released after posting a $2,500 bond.

Lyons' employment at the daycare has since been terminated.

Tyree Smith - Jailed After Hacking Man To Death With Ax, Eating His Eyeball And Brain Matter

Bridgeport, Connecticut (The Weekly Vice) - Tyree Lincoln Smith, a 35-year-old Bridgeport man was jailed after he allegedly killed another man with an ax, then ate his eyeball and brain matter.

According to Bridgeport police, Smith was reportedly living in an abandoned building with 43-year-old Angel "Tun Tun" Gonzalez when he hacked him to death with an ax on December 15th.

Smith then ate one of the victim's eyeballs, and some of his brain matter before fleeing the scene. Gonzalez's decomposing body was found in the building on January 20th. The victim was discovered with severe trauma to his head and face.

Smith's cousin, Nicole Rabb, told police that her cousin arrived at her home in mid-December with blood on his hands, clothes and an ax that he was carrying.

Smith reportedly told his cousin that he was sleeping on the porch of an abandoned building when a Hispanic man (Gonzalez) invited him to come out of the cold and sleep inside the building. A short time later, Smith attacked the man with an ax.

"Tyree told (Rabb) the blows to (Gonzalez's) head were so severe that he was able to remove an eye from the man's head along with pieces of brain matter and a piece of his skull," according to the arrest warrant.

Smith then placed Gonzalez's body parts into a bag, walked to a cemetery and then consumed the dead man's eye and brain matter. Smith told Rabb that Gonzalez's eyeball tasted like an oyster.

Upon hearing the grotesque story, Rabb called her mother who in turn contacted police.

Smith fled the state, but was located and taken into custody in Florida. He was booked into jail on murder charges and is being held in lieu of $1,000,000 bond.

Michael Mitchell - Jailed After Torturing Two Young Girls With Electric Dog Collar

Crestview, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Michael Lee Mitchell, a 24-year-old Crestview man was jailed after he allegedly used an electric dog collar to torture and punish two small children.

According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, Mitchell reportedly punished two girls, ages 4 and 8, by forcing them to exercise nonstop until the girls vomited.

Mitchell then reportedly used an electric dog collar to torture the girls further.

Investigators say Mitchell forced the 8-year-old girl to run next to his vehicle for at least three miles. The girls were also forced to perform pushups, situps and running until they became sick.

Mitchelle then placed a shocking dog collar on the 8-year-old's arm and the 4-year-old's waist and would use it to shock the girls if they stopped exercising.

Mitchell's relationship to the two girls were not disclosed to protect their identity.

Investigators say Mitchell, who is an active soldier with the Army 7th Special Forces, admitted to the abuse and stated that his punishments were "extreme and over the edge". The Department of Children and Families is investigating the incident.

Mitchell was booked into the Okaloosa County Jail and charged with two felony counts of child abuse. He is being held in lieu of $200,000 bond.

Mary Thompson - Jailed After Beating Cat To Death With Hammer Over Apartment Rental Policy

Yankton, SD (The Weekly Vice) - Mary Thompson, a 52-year-old South Dakota woman was jailed Monday after she allegedly used a hammer to beat her cat to death.

According to police, officers were dispatched to Canyon Ridge Apartments after the apartment manager reported that a tenant had beaten her cat to death with a hammer.

Investigators say the manager visited Thompson at her apartment Monday to discuss the issue of having two pets, when her lease agreement limits the number of pets a tenant can keep to just one pet.

The manager had confronted Thompson in the past over the issue, however Thompson assured the manager that she would find a new home for one of her cats.

The manager told detectives that she was talking with Thompson about the two animals when Thompson went to the kitchen, grabbed a hammer and then sat down on the couch next to one of her cats.

Thompson then allegedly used the hammer to beat the cat to death as the horrified manager fled the apartment in fear.

Police obtained a search warrant the next day, however the cat was nowhere to be found. Thompson later told detectives that she killed the cat and disposed of its body in the dumpster.

Thompson was booked into jail on a misdemeanor count of killing or injuring an animal.

Percy Love - Jailed After Punting Kitten Like Football, Kitten Miraculously Survives Asshat Owner

Chicaco, Ill. (The Weekly Vice) - Percy Love, a 22-year-old Chicago man was jailed Monday after he allegedly punted a kitten like a football, launching the animal some 18 feet into the air.

According to police, officers watched Love take a running start before kicking a kitten like a football Monday afternoon.

Investigators say the animal flew up to 18 feet into the air before falling to the ground. Following the kick, Love reportedly laughed and threw his hands into the air as if he had just scored a field goal.

When officers questioned Love about his conduct, Love stated "This is my cat, Nightmare...he is tough, we play like that all the time.... it's just a cat," according to the arrest report.

The animal was taken to an Animal Care facility and is expected to survive.

Love was booked into jail and charged with animal cruelty. His bond has been set at $50,000.

Betty Jo Tagerson - Convicted On All Counts After Driving Into Group Of Triplets, Killing One

New Port Richey, Fla. (The Weekly Vice) - In March of this year, we reported the arrest of Betty Jo Tagerson, a 39-year-old woman who crashed her vehicle into a group of young girls after peeling out of her driveway in a fit of anger. The accident killed one girl, injured her two triplet sisters and another girl who was playing in the front yard.

In November, 2010, Tagerson climbed into her Jeep Grand Cherokee and rapidly drove away after she and her boyfriend became engaged in a heated argument. Within moments, Tagerson's vehicle reached speeds of up to 44 mph, causing her to lose control of the vehicle. Tagerson then crash her jeep into a group of triplets who were playing with a friend in her front yard.

Two of the girls, 5-year-old triplets Delaney and Gabrielle Rossman, were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. Third triplet Isabella Rossman and her friend Marissa Manuli, were treated for non-life threatening injuries. All girls survived their injuries except for Delaney, who died the next day.

Detectives studied the case for four months before finally arresting Tagerson on charges of vehicular homicide and reckless driving. At the time of the accident, Tagerson was already facing charges on allegations that she stole $19,000 from a doctor's office where she was employed as an office manager.

Earlier this week, the surviving triplets testified in court, describing the events that fatally injured their sister, Delaney.

The girls, who are now 7-years-old, delivered emotional testimonies, as Tagerson wept. At one point jurors were asked to leave so that Tagerson could compose herself.

"I remember I saw her laying down in the grass," Isabella told the jury on Tuesday. "She wouldn't breathe, but I remember somebody helping her trying to breath, but she still wouldn't breathe."

Tagerson's attorney argued that his client blacked out moments before the crash and that Tagerson shouldn't be held responsible for losing control of her vehicle. A radiologist, however, stated that results of a CT scan didn't show a lack of oxygen in Tagerson's brain when she was admitted to the hospital that night.

On Wednesday, a six-member jury convicted Tagerson on charges of vehicular homicide, second-degree manslaughter and two counts of reckless driving with serious bodily injury. Tagerson, who is scheduled to be sentenced in February, faces up to 25 years in prison.
