James Fall Married Himself A Starter Wife. Charged With Marrying His 10-Year-Old Niece

Mound, MN (The Weekly Vice) - James Wallace Fall, a 58-year-old Mound man was jailed after he allegedly married his niece, who was 10 years old at the time.

According to the Mound Police Department, Fall married his niece during a summer vacation at Yellowstone National Park in 2001.

Investigators say Fall alternated sleeping arrangements - sleeping with the child and his previous wife, 49-year-old Rosemary Fall.

The marriage reportedly continued for nine years until Fall's niece, who is now 19, turned him in to police.

The woman told investigators that her uncle threatened to kick her and her two brothers out of his home unless she went along with the marriage.

Fall reportedly told police that the girl's aunt knew of the arrangement and did nothing to stop it. She has also been charged in the case.

Police say they were previously called to the home on abuse allegations, but Fall's niece and his wife denied the claims.

Fall, who claims that he is a "prophet of God", told investigators that it was God's will that he marry his niece, citing biblical scripture as justification for the act.

Fall was booked into the Hennepin County Jail and charged with sexual abuse. He remains jailed, awaiting trial. His attorney will ask the court to evaluate his health.

Police are also investigating a possible murder and fraud allegations involving Fall. Investigators believe that Fall may have poisoned his brother-in-law, Phillip Johnson, 10 years ago.

Tweedle Dee And Tweedle Dumb Jailed On Auto Burglary Charges After Vehicle’s Owner Used A Unique Method To Catch Them

Lake City, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Travis Neeley, 19, and Peter Scandizzo, 25 were arrested Friday while attempting to burglarize a vehicle. While auto burglary is not uncommon, the method used by the vehicle's owner to catch him certainly was.

According to the Columbia County Sheriff's office, Neeley was in the process of burglarizing a vehicle around 5:30 a.m. when a neighbor noticed the activity and alerted the vehicle's owner.

When the owner arrived to discover Neeley sitting in his car, he activated the vehicle's keyless remote system to lock the burglar inside. Each time Neeley reportedly tried to unlock the car and flee, the vehicle's owner re-locked the doors with a key fob, holding Neely inside the vehicle until authorities could arrive.

Investigators say deputies were arresting Neeley when they noticed a suspicious car passing by the crime scene. When deputies attempted to both the vehicle over, the driver opted to engage in a brief chase before ultimately abandoning the vehicle.

The driver, identified as Peter Scandizzo, was finally arrested after K-9 units were employed in a search of the surrounding neighborhood. Scandizzo was found hiding in his mother's Lake City home.

Neeley was booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility on charges of burglary of a vehicle, possession of burglary tools, criminal mischief and trespassing.

Scandizzo was booked into jail on charges of fleeing and eluding, possession of marijuana, possession of burglary tools, loitering and prowling, conspiracy to commit burglary and resisting arrested.

Jason Botos Is A Slow Learner - Man Arrives To Court Drunk Too Face DUI Charges

Papillion, NE (The Weekly Vice) - Jason Botos, a 30-year-old Papillion man was jailed after he was allegedly too drunk to appear in court on DUI charges.

According to Sarpy County police, Botos' father drove him to the courthouse, where he was to be sentenced for a drunk driving offense.

Investigators say Botos jumped a curb on Highway 75 in September of 2009, hitting five other vehicles and critically injuring three people.

Botos reportedly showed up to his court appearance so intoxicated that his father had to ask officers to help him out of the vehicle since he was unable to walk on his own.

Officers arrested Botos in the parking lot because he was unable to make it into the courthouse, ultimately failing to appear in court. When he was in custody, police performed a breathalyzer test on him. He blew a 0.43, more then five times the state's legal limit. He was sent to a local hospital to be checked out, then taken back to jail.

Botos was booked into jail and charged with failure to appear. Combined with the original DUI charge, Botos could face up to 18 months in jail.

School Gets A Lesson In Tolerance When A Lesbian Couple Decides To Attend Prom Together. Just Kidding, School Cancelled The Whole Damn Thing

Jackson, Mississippi (The Weekly Vice) - Constance McMillen, a lesbian 18-year-old high school senior is asking a federal judge to force her Mississippi school district to reinstate a prom dance it cancelled after she asked to attend the prom with her girlfriend and wear a tuxedo.

According to reports, the decision to cancel the prom came after the American Civil Liberties Union demanded that officials change a policy banning same-sex prom dates because it violated students' rights.

The ACLU said the district not letting McMillen wear a tuxedo violated her free expression rights.

Instead, the school board said it wouldn't host the event, "due to the distractions to the educational process caused by recent events" but never mentioned McMillen, her girlfriend or the ACLU. The schools' policy requires that senior prom dates be of the opposite sex.

Prior to the incident, a memo to students was sent out setting the rules for bringing a date to the prom, and one of those rules was the person must be of the opposite sex.

The ACLU said McMillen spoke to school officials before the memo was distributed because she knew same-sex dates had been prohibited in the past. The ACLU said district officials told McMillen she and her girlfriend wouldn't be allowed to arrive together, she would not be allowed to wear a tuxedo, and that she and her girlfriend might be asked to leave if their presence made any other students "uncomfortable."

The ACLU has filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court to force the school district to sponsor the prom. It also asks that McMillen be allowed to escort her girlfriend, and wear her tuxedo.

Asshat Allegedly Sodomizes Infant Son, Takes Photos Of The Act, Then Takes The Negatives To Walgreens For Development

St. George, UT (The Weekly Vice) - Sergio Diaz-Palomino, a 34-year-old St George man was jailed after a Walgreens photo technician discovered sexually explicit pictures of Diaz-Palomino and his infant son on a roll of film he was getting developed.

According to St. George police, the Walgreens store on St. George Blvd. contacted authorities after a photo lab technician found several pictures on some developing film that showed an infant being abused by an adult male.

Officers identified the man as Diaz-Palomino, and determined that the photos were definitely sexually explicit - meeting the state's definition of an act of sodomy.

Things turned even more disturbing after Diaz-Palomino admitted to police that the infant in the photos was his son.

Investigators believe that the child's mother took the photos. Police are now searching for her to determine her role in the crime and to see about the welfare of the victim who is presently in her care.

Diaz-Palomino was booked into the Purgatory Correctional Facility and charged with sodomy on a child and sexual exploitation of a minor. He is being held on $70,000 bail.

Johnny Dossey Was All Burned Up Over His Water Bill

Fort Lauderdale, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Johnny Dossey, a 43-year-old Fort Lauderdale man was arrested after setting his mobile home on fire in retaliation for an unwanted water bill.

According to Fort Lauderdale Fire and Rescue, Dossey doused his mobile home with gasoline and set it on fire. A few minutes later, the home exploded.

Investigators say a neighbor overheard Dossey and his father arguing about a $70 water bill shortly before the house erupted into a ball of flames. The pair were reportedly unhappy with how high the bill was.

Police spokeswoman Kathy Collins said police stopped Dossey as he tried to leave the neighborhood and that Dossey may have been intoxicated.

The fire didn't damage any of the neighboring homes but Dossey's place was a complete loss.

Dossey is charged with charged with first-degree arson.

Beaver County Man Arrested After Attempting To Steal Woman’s Panties......Wait, What?

Ohioville, PA (The Weekly Vice) - Chad W. Dawson (left), a 32-year-old Beaver County man was jailed after he allegedly attempted to steal a woman's panties.

According to Midland police, April West and her boyfriend, David Caparuolo, witnessed a tall, thin man trying to enter West's apartment through her front window Tuesday night. When the man was spotted, he exited the window and fled the scene.

Police found the suspect at his own apartment in the same complex after following his footprints in the snow.

Dawson admitted to investigators that he was in fact the man seen climbing through the woman's window. He stated that he originally went to West's residence to ask about her car, and when he learned that she wasn't home, decided to enter her apartment through a window.

Dawson told police he had a panty fetish and his intentions were to steal West's underwear. He decided to abandon the burglary when he saw a car approach.

Dawson was booked into jail and charged with attempted burglary, criminal trespass, and loitering. He was freed after posting $20,000 bond.

Jack Burris Is The Hamburglar - Jailed After Robbing McDonalds At Bottle-Point

Dunedin, FL (The Weekly Vice) - Jack St. Clair Burris, a 33-year-old Florida man was arrested Saturday after he robbed a McDonalds Restaurant with a broken beer bottle.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, Burris robbed a Dunedin area McDonalds restaurant Friday night through it's drive-thru window.

Investigators say Burris drove up to the window and asked for change. When the employee opened the cash drawer, Burris reportedly pulled out a broken beer bottle and threatened him with it.

Burris then allegedly cleaned out the cash drawer as the employee backed away.

Burris was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on charges of robbery with a weapon and aggravated assault. Bail was set at $55,000.

Jennifer Fernandez “Polished” Off A Few Cans Of Dust Remover

Naples, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Jennifer Marie Fernandez, a 37-year-old North Naples woman, was arrested after she huffed down two cans of dust remover, then was found passed out in an alley, laying in her own vomit.

According to police, Officer Donald Ross was called to the scene in an alley where a witness reported seeing a woman sleeping.

Upon arriving, Ross found Fernandez passed out and laying in her own vomit. Fernandez awoke but seemed confused and her speech was slurred.

The report also said Ross noticed Fernandez trying to hide something between her legs. When he asked her what it was, she showed him a can of dust remover. She told Ross she’d inhaled the contents to get high.

This was the second time in less than two months that Fernandez has been arrested on charges related to huffing aerosol products. Fernandez was arrested in January after sheriff’s deputies found her unconscious on the floor of a Wal-Mart restroom with an empty can of dust remover. She was charged with petty theft because she didn’t pay for it.

Fernandez was charged with inhalation of a harmful chemical substance, and violation of county probation.

Erik Estrada Was Being A Pain In The Ass - Jailed After Torturing Cat With Blow Dryer

Syracuse, NY (The Weekly Vice) - Erik Estrada (yep that's his real name), an 18-year-old New York man was arraigned Thursday on charges he tortured a cat with an electric shaver and blow dryer.

And how was the crime discovered? The assclown posted a video of the crime on YouTube.

According to police, Estrada used a hair dryer and an electric shaver to torture a cat, as a 16-year-old friend video-taped the event.

Investigators say Estrada chased the cat around the room with a blow dryer - then focused the heat of the dryer directly on the cat while it's paws were bound. Estrada then held the blow dryer close to the cat's anal area for several seconds, as the cat lay helpless.

Estrada went further still - using and electric razor to shave off the cat's fur in several places.

The alleged acts were recorded on March 4th and then uploaded to YouTube shortly thereafter. He was taken into custody Wednesday, telling police "it was a joke and the dryer was set on cool."

Yeah sure, dude.

Estrada was booked into jail and then arraigned before City Court judge, Kate Rosenthal on charges of animal cruelty. Bail was set at $5,000.

Melody Onyonyor Performed A Circumcision - And It All Went Downhill From There

But here comes the twist. The infant child is her 10-month-old daughter!

According to the Troup County Sheriff's Office, the child was staying with a relative of the child's father when the injuries were discovered.

Doctors at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta determined that the girl's clitoris had been removed by some form of surgery.

Onyonyor was booked into jail and charged with child cruelty and female genital mutilation. Bond information was not available.

Shane Tinsman Played Goldie-Locks, But The Three Bears In This Story Took Him To Jail

Columbia County, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Shane Tinsman, a 25-year old Tennessee man was arrested after homeowners arrived home to discover him naked inside their house, watching their television.

According to the Columbia County Sheriff's Office, Tinsman broke into a homeowner's residence, helped himself to their food, took a shower and watched television.

When the homeowner arrived home and noticed the lights on, he called 911.

Deputies arrived on scene, looked through a window and saw a nude man walking through the house. Deputies tried to get the man to come out of the house, but he refused. After entered the home, Deputies found the naked man lying on the bedroom floor and arrested him.

Deputies said Tinsman told them he broke into the home and ate food because he was hungry and needed a place to sleep.

The homeowner said it didn’t appear anything was stolen from the home.

Tinsman was booked into the Columbia County Detention Center on burglary charges. Bond was set at $2,000.

Megan Barnes Was Bikini Bare, But She Didn’t Quite Make It There

Cudjoe Key, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Megan Barnes, a 37-year-old Florida woman was jailed after she crashed her vehicle while attempting to shave her bikini area.

According a Florida Highway Patrol trooper, Barnes was shaving her bikini area while driving on the highway when she smashed into the rear of a SUV. After crashing into the vehicle, Barnes left the scene, driving another half mile before she was finally pulled over.

Trooper Gary Dunick, the arresting officer, said Barnes was sitting in the drivers seat shaving while her ex-husband steered from the passenger seat. She was on her way to meet her current boyfriend.

"She said she was meeting her boyfriend in Key West and wanted to be ready for the visit," Dunick said.

Barnes was convicted the day before for driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license. The arrest report showed that this was the sixth time her license had been suspended.

Barnes was charged with reckless driving, driving with a revoked license, leaving the scene of a crash with injuries, and driving without insurance.

Betty Burden Took The Kiddos On A Vodka Safari

Mount Prospect, IL (The Weekly Vice) - Betty Burden, a 54-year-old school bus driver was jailed after she allegedly drove a school bus while intoxicated - with approximately 50 elementary students on board.

According to Mount Prospect police, one of Burden's co-workers smelled alcohol on her breath before the buses left the school around 2:30 p.m.

Transportation Coordinator Vince Ramirez boarded Burden's bus as she arrived at her first stop. He stated that he did not smell alcohol on her breath and allowed her to continue her route, following behind her and notifying the police.

Officers did smell alcohol on Burden's breath when she was finally pulled over, after delivering about 50 Lions Park Elementary School children to their homes. Burden registered a .230 B.A.C. on a test administered at the scene, and a .226 on a test given to her at the police station. She admitted to investigators that she had been drinking vodka and orange juice during lunch.

Burden, who has no criminal background and has been a bus driver for District 57 off and on since 1991, was suspended from her driving position without pay.

Burden was booked into jail and charged with DUI. Her bond was set at $10,000.

Irving Howard Gave The Bar Flies A Reason To Buy Another Round

Fort Myers, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Irving Edwin Howard, a 37-year-old Florida man was arrested Tuesday after he was asked to leave a bar because he wasn't wearing any shoes - but refused and stripped naked instead.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, Howard was asked to leave a local bar because he was not wearing shoes. Howard refused to leave and instead, stripped naked, before retreated into the women's restroom.

The officer who arrived on scene asked Howard to come out of the restroom. That's when Howard reportedly began screaming and then ran toward the officer with his fists clenched.

Howard was tased twice and was taken into custody.

Howard was booked into the Lee County Jail on charges of indecent exposure, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest without violence and trespassing.

Jennifer DiServio - 6 Months Pregnant - Jailed After Assaulting Husband Over Failing To Let The Dogs Out

Brooksville, Fl (The Weekly Vice) - Jennifer DiServio, a 21-year-old pregnant woman was jailed after she allegedly assaulted her husband because he didn't let the dogs out.

According to Hernando County police, Deputies were called to the couple's trailer after DiServio became agitated when her husband, 42-year-old Thomas DiServio, fell asleep on the couch before taking out the dogs.

In retaliation, DiServio reportedly pulled her husband off the couch by his t-shirt and and then punched him in the mouth.

Diservio, who is six months pregnant, reportedly suffers from Bipolar Disorder and has not been taking any medication. She has numerous prior convictions for battery and domestic battery.

DiServio was booked into the Hernando County Jail and charged with felony domestic battery. She is being held without bond.

Holiday, Fl (The Weekly Vice) - Rebekah Michal Tracht-Kader, a 21-year-old New Port Richey woman was jailed after a box of pot was allegedly found in her vehicle with her name written on it.

According to Pasco County police, deputies pulled over a 1999 Honda CRV around 2:00 a.m. for running through a stop sign and driving south on northbound U.S. 19.

Deputies reported that when they approached the vehicle, Tracht-Kader had blood-shot eyes, slurred speech, and smelled of alcohol and marijuana.

During a search of Tracht-Kader's vehicle, police found a green box containing an undisclosed amount marijuana with "Rebekah's Pot" written on it.

Tracht-Kader failed sobriety tests and blew a 1.89, well over the state's .08 limit, according to investigators.

Tracht-Kader was booked into the Land O' Lakes Jail and charged with DUI and marijuana possession. She was released after posting $150 bail.

Melinda Dennehy’s Naughty Pics Spread Through The School Like Wild-Fire

Londonderry, N.H. (The Weekly Vice) - Melinda Dennehy, a 41-year-old sophomore English teacher at Londonderry High School, was arrested for sending a 15-year-old male student nude photos of herself.

According to court documents, Dennehy turned herself in to police after she allegedly e-mailed a student four nude photos of herself several months ago. She also reportedly sent him sexually explicit text messages detailing sex acts she wanted to perform with him.

The teen forwarded the photos to other students and the pictures circulated around the school. Authorities were alerted buy a concerned parent who alerted police. One of Dennehy's co-workers identified her in the photo, which had been obtained by detectives. She was placed on administrative leave.

Dennehy was booked into jail on one felony count of indecent exposure and lewdness. She was released on $10,000 personal recognizance bail and has been ordered to have no contact with anyone under the age of 16.

Ronnie Ricks Really Rucked Up - Jailed After Asking Police Officer For Directions While Driving A Stolen Car

Slidell, Louisiana (The Weekly Vice) - Ronnie Ricks, a 26-year-old New Orleans man, was arrested after asking a police officer for directions while driving in a stolen car.

According to Slidell Police Department spokesman Cpt. Kevin Foltz, Ricks drove up to an officer in line at a McDonald’s drive-thru and asked for directions to a local interstate.

The officer gave him the directions but had to repeat them a few times because Ricks couldn’t understand them.

After Ricks left, the officer had dispatch run the license plate through the system revealing that the car had been stolen earlier that day.

The officer alerted other officers and Ricks was pulled over on the interstate a short time later.

Ricks was charged with possession of stolen things and possession of marijuana. Bond was set at $22,000.

Donna Toure Offered Sex For $5 And A Jawbreaker - Hard Times Call For Hard Candy?

According to Cincinnati police, Toure was speaking to an undercover officer when she offered sex acts for a small amount of cash and a Jaw Breaker - a type of hard candy.

Investigators say Toure also had several outstanding warrants for offenses such as prostitution and child endangering - which police believe to be connected to a 2009 arrest where she allegedly left her three young children at home alone, again making headlines.

Toure was booked into jail and charged with prostitution. Bond information was not available.

Allen Nguyen Put The “A” In Assclown - Jailed After Attempting To Cash In Lottery Ticket At The Same Store He Stole Stole It From

Winter Haven FL (The Weekly Vice) - Allen Nguyen, a 22-year-old Florida man was jailed Thursday after he allegedly stole $70 worth of lottery tickets from a convenience store and then attempted to cash in a winning ticket at the same store.

According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, Nguyen stole about $70 worth of scratch off lottery tickets from a New Haven Circle K when the clerk briefly stepped away from the counter.

Investigators say the clerk notified police when she discovered a large discrepancy between the on-hand tickets and her cash drawer. A review of security camera footage revealed a man leaning over the counter and taking the tickets while the cashier was away.

Authorities received a break in the case March 1st when Nguyen returned to the store with one of the winning tickets - hoping to receive a $50 payout. The clerk recognized Gnuyen from the surveillance video and asked to see his driver's license. The clerk then wrote down the suspect's information and called 911.

Michael McLaughlin - Jailed For Thinking About Cheeseburgers

Gastonia, NC (The Weekly Vice) - Michael Francis McLaughlin, a 48-year-old homeless Gastonia man was jailed for allegedly wanting a cheeseburger.

According to Gastonia police, McLaughlin was Standing on Cox Road near I-85 Friday evening, holding up a cardboard sign that read: "I'm Thinking Of A Cheeseburger".

Investigators say it is against the law for anyone to beg or offer work for money or other compensation by forcing themselves upon the company of others. However, it is not believed that McLaughlin approached any vehicles.

McLaughlin was booked into jail and charged with unlawful solicitation. His bond was set at $500.

Christina Gradillas Had A Crack Pipe In Her Bra And An Uncontrollable Twitch

Youngstown, Ohio (The Weekly Vice) - Christina Gradillas, a 30-year-old Youngstown woman, was arrested on charges she repeatedly dropped her four-month-old baby on the street.

According to police, witnesses reported seeing Gradillas drop her baby several times on the pavement and in the snow while she was walking along a road.

When officers confronted Gradillas, she said was walking to a friend's house so she could get a ride to the doctor because the baby had fallen off the couch.

Police say Gradillas was twitching uncontrollably and had what appeared to be a crack pipe stuffed in her bra.

Gradillas booked into the Mahoning County jail and was charged child-endangering and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The baby was taken into the custody of the Mahoning County Children Services.

Change Is Coming - The Weekly Vice Will Return To Publication On March 10

(The Weekly Vice) - When we announced that The Weekly Vice would be taking a short term break - I expected to see 20 or 25 comments on the subject.

I never expected to be clobbered with such an outpouring of support and encouragement.

Please know that I've taken every email and comment to heart, and would like to make the following announcement.

As our goal was never to shut down the site permanently, we will be getting back to work shortly.

I wish, however to do a little restructuring here at TWV so that we can deliver a better reader experience. This change will come by way of a new associate editor and an additional writer.

The Weekly Vice will remain quiet for the next few days while we make these changes - but it will return as a much improved site.

The Weekly Vice will return to publication on March 10th, which will give us some time to make the necessary adjustments while giving our writers a much deserved rest.

I want to thank every one of you who took time out of your busy schedule to comment. You will never know how appreciated your encouragement has been and the impact is has made.

I am truly amazed.

Randel Riggsbee Attempted To Elude Police In A Vehicle He Hoped They Wouldn’t Spot

Wake County, NC (The Weekly Vice) - Randel Levone Riggsbee, a 32-year-old Chapel Hill man was jailed after he led police on a high speed chase in a hot pink Hello Kitty car.

According to the Wake County Sheriff's Office, a deputy pulled over a 1997 pink Grand Marquee with Hello Kitty vanity plates for a traffic violation around 8:45 a.m.

As the officer approached, the vehicle sped away and proceeded west on I-40. The North Carolina Highway Patrol was called in to assist in the pursuit - which reached speeds of up to 85 mph.

Stop sticks were deployed to bring Riggsbee's vehicle to a halt, however the vehicle managed to strike another vehicle in the process.

Riggsbee jumped out of his vehicle and attempted to flee, but was placed into custody around 9:00 a.m. Officers seized an undetermined amount of money during the arrest.

Riggsbee was booked into jail and charged with 2 felonies and 13 misdemeanors. Charges and bond information were not available.
