NOTD: Glitter BOMB!!!!

Soooo I love this manicure for so many reasons. I knew I had to blog about this mani right away. I used Covergirl Boundless Color in Luxe Lilac first.

A great lilac that flashes pink, I knew it would be the perfect base for one of my favorite shades from the new Wet n Wild Ice baby collection color in Its All in the cut. I took some bottle shots!

Well lets just get on to the mani.

Just a gorgeous Light purple with light pink round glitters & holographic shimmers. Ugh I am in love. May be in the running for one of my favorite polishes of all time.

I hope you guys enjoyed this mani, I am really not a pro when it comes to swatching and things, but I hope you still enjoyed and will take it easy on me. LOL.

Old Mani's- I'VE BEEN SLACKING :(

Hello lovely ladies... First off i'd like to welcome all new FOLLOWERS to my blog!!! I appreciate you following and I really hope you enjoy what I have to offer. Secondly, I am having a Wet 'n Wild giveaway going on here if you'd like to take a look and enter if you have not done so already. Reason for this post.... Well needless to say I've really not been taking too many mani pictures lately. I did though come across a few old mani's on my phone. I thought 'what the heck, let me just post them' (finally).

Well here they are... nothing spectacular... But what can I say.

My only halloween Mani I captured. I just used all of China Glaze Halloween '10 Zombie Zest, Icky Body, and Mummy May I. I really loveeed their halloween collection last year, and Zombie Zest is one of my all time favorite colors ever. I really just loved the way this looked together. I don't do much creative nail art, so I think this is really me in a nutshell.

Next, be prepared for massive case of LOBSTER hands. These pictures make my hands look so red! Ahhh, but I loved this mani!!

Now here we have a glitter SAM'ICH (or sandwich as normal people call it, LOL). For this I used Essence @holographics.com polish in Prism@tic White. An awesome sheer white duochrome that flashes purple and blue. GORGEOUS, perfect type of color for a glitter sam'ich. So I did two coats of the Essence, the ONE coat of Wet 'n Wild Fast Dry in Correction Tape (from the fall On the Prowl Collection). Swatch here! Then I did two more coats of Prism@tic White to tone down the glitter and make a gorgeous, glitter, duochrome SAM'ICH (sick of that yet? hahaha)

Wet 'n Wild Review: Makeup & Fast Dry Polish +Swatches!!!

I just wanted to post my video reviews that I have recently done for some new Wet 'n Wild products I was sent. I was overjoyed when I was contacted for a review for them. I have been a fan of there makeup for some time now, and it was amazing as always. Few little complaints but nothing major. I will always recommend their products to anyone that asks. I will also be posting a blog specifically for my giveaway for those who would like to enter, but one of the rules is that I ask you be subbed to my youtube channel, since it is really mostly a giveaway for my channel. If you do not want to sub, i completely understand, but I will have blog only giveaways soon (I PROMISE!).

I split the reviews up into two parts, Makeup & Nail polish. I did this because the reviews wound up being a bit long. Plus the nail polish portion turned into showing you my ENTIRE fast dry collection. I will post the videos, then pictures of swatches following. I swatched my whole collection on a nail wheel, and numbered accordingly.

Now onto swatch photos!!!! I am sorry they are not on my nails, but I feel with my current abilities that this would be the prettiest, cleanest way to show you all the true color! Bottle Spam-age!

So I've been neglecting my readers again sadly. I've really done nothing fun nail wise. But i really want to start getting back into NOTD & FOTD posts. With the occasional reviews, and such. I have a special giveaway planned for both my blog and channel. I'm not totally satisfied with the prizes yet, and I need to get some ideas. So I think I may hold off on the blog portion til I get to 100, I'm half way there. As far as my youtube channel here, I'm sort of stopped at 1,280. I'll get a few subs, then I'll lose some. The never ending youtube struggle. LOL. Well now that i've babbled onto the BOTTLE SPAM-AGE!

Today features part of one of my hauls, Revlon Expressionist Collection. I would have done swatches but I stink at them! So you will have to settle for bottle spam!!!!

Starry Pink *swoons* a Glitter that is subtle! Amazing!!!! This is like that best of both worlds color. Safe for work, but still not the ordinary. Definitely the stand out for me! Light pink base with silver Hex glitters & silver micro glitter!!!

Fascets of Fuchsia this is the Debra Lippmann Bad Romance dupe. I've never personally seen that color to say if it is spot on, but here are some of my favorite comparisons!

As you can see, pretty good right?!?!?! Black jelly-ish base with purple hex glitter, and same purple micro glitter.

Lastly we have Blue Mosaic. I am on the fence about this one... Maybe its because I don't know how to wear it to make the most of it. Maybe one day I will learn to love it. It is a clear base with LOTS of teal micro glitter & sparse Silver, Green, & teal hex glitter. This color definitely has more micro glitter than hex.

Didn't really work out......

Sooo.... In retrospect the previous blog post and idea was a really good one... But no one responded or voted. I want to thank my one voter, the lovely Tanisha! I will be doing both of those looks in the future, but I won't continue to do those posts due to lack of response...

I am planning on filming a few new videos. Updated foundation routine, 2 back to school looks, and some others. If you have any requests, please feel free to leave them below. I will also be trying to get my blog sale done and posted....

Battle of the tutorials: Smokey Glitter vs. Neutral with a POP!

So I am testing a new idea here on the blog. I have a really hard time deciding what tutorials I want to do next on my youtube channel here.
I will also be posting each tutorial on my blog as well, with products used, photos, etc. Well I took some photos of two eye looks I wanted to try out, Now its for my readers to decide what tutorial will be next. I will try to make this a once a week thing from now on. I will try at least! Onto the photos...

Look #1 Smokey eye will lots of glitter added. [please note: I am not wearing any face makeup here, only undereye concealer. Plus I am not a professional photographer so photos are the best I can do.] This is done with the Limited Edition Wet n Wild Color Icon Trio in Were Blasting off. Swatches here on NouveauCheap.

Look #2 is a BEAUTIFUL Copper Neutral Eye w/a Pop of Purple on the lower lash line, & Black cat eye liner on the top. My fav looks to rock, simple with a POP of color! [Please take note to the same thing above.] This was also done using a limited edition Color Icon trio from Wet n Wild in Dancing in Clouds.

Both looks, side by side. One open eyes, one closed!

Some recent mani's

Here are a few pictures of my recent mani's. I have been using my phone camera because I really love the quality in the sunlight. I just captured these few. Getting right on to it.

This one is a bit blurry, but I feel like it makes it so much better. I did this with the idea of a backwards accent nail. I used Finger Paints Baby, Baby, Baby [a holographic, stunning glitter] & Revlon Top Speed in Emerald. I just love anything holo. The top speed was nice, it was about 2 coats, could have got away with only 1.

This is one of my more favorite mani's i've done in a while. A neon skittles mani topped with one of my new favorite glitters. Colors used in order.... Thumb Funky Fingers Pop Artist, Pointer Funky Fingers Caymen Islands [only non cream, has flash of lime green], Middle finger Funky Fingers Cheshire, Ring finger Claires Lime Yours, and lastly pinky is Funky Fingers Volts. All topped off with Sinful Colors glitter in Smoking Hot. If you've never seen this, get it. Just go, trust me. Get it. It's gorgeous!!!!!

My current mani. My favorite kind, FLAKY GOODNESS! It's three layered polishes OPI Cuckoo for this color [a deep teal], Orly Galaxy Girl, & Last a coat of Maybelline Colorama in Ruby rays, a beautiful red flaky that flashes every color.

My first frankens...

You guys be the judge on these, I just was winging it one night. I was dying to get creative and mix some things up. This is going to be very pic heavy [my apologies], and I don't know EXACT ingredients because I did make these some time ago. Enjoy! [all photos can be enlarged!]

A couple bottle shots. One is a teal sheer shade with silver hexagonal glitter, and dashes of teal and purple microshimmer. The right shade is a peachy pink, with rainbow/sheer [almost fairy dust esk] glitter through it. I added a bit of orange microshimmer to give some flair.

I used a very sheer beige french shade for this base, added some mac partylicious pigment, Milani one coat silver hex glitter, and I added some glamour doll eye glitters in Rave & Techno. I really like the way this turned out. I could of added a little less pigment to see the glitter more, so I may go back and add a top coat to it. Swatches on paper later, had no time to swatch on the nails!

Next is this shade.... We have a love hate relationship. I kind of like it, kind of don't. I used a base of Wet n Wild Crystallic polish in psycho. Then I added a beautiful peachy pink pigment with a yellowish/greenish flash. For a fun element I added Glamour doll eyes glitter in Circus. Its sheer, but not that sheer. Its weird... Now onto names and random swatches.

This is Mermaids Tail... I swatched it over 5 colors on paper. I know, I know... Its not the same.... plus its not sunlight. But i swear soon I will swatch on nails and in the sunlight. First shade I put it over is Sinful colors Rise & Shine [a bright teal], Sinful Colors What's your Name [black with teal and blue micro shimmer], LA Colors White, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Black out, & China Glaze Sea Spray [Creme dusty blue]. My favorite is over darker shades like Black out & What's my Name. You really see the dimensions of the glitter.

A Couple closer shots... See the beautiful glitter coming through on those dark shades?

Next we have Sherbert Kisses. Ehhhh here we go with my love hate relationship. I swatched this shade over Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Sunkissed [Creme bright orange], LA Colors White, Revlon No Name sticker [peachy nude], Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Black out, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Fuchsia Power [Creme Fuchsia]. I personally like this shade alone, or on a similar color such as the revlon shade.

Quick Update!

I wanted to update you guys really quick, things are still rocky, and not going so well! But what I do want to do is get back to blogging and making my videos regularly again! I really want to first and foremost say thank you to each and every one of you for you're continued love and support. Please read the below message for more information about what is currently going on with my family.

I just wanted to take some time out and post a message to all of you. I will no longer be able to continue my videos. As much as it saddens me to say this, I will no longer have the ability to film, and upload videos. I have no idea how long this will last. Mark my words I will do everything in my power to come back to doing what I love, which is making videos for you beautiful people! I want to thank each and every one of you for your continued love and support for me and my beauty endeavors. You guys mean the world to me. You pick me up when I am down, and give me a reason to keep fighting.

I really would like to tell you what is going on in my life and why I will be absent. A lot of things are going on between my family. Long story, but my fiance is no longer able to live with my family. Which is tearing our own family apart. My Daughter needs her dad, and I need my support system. Brian has a less than supportive family, and they do not have the means to help us in that way, so we are forced to do what we can to raise the money to pay a security deposit on an apartment. I do not want the love of my life to have to sleep in the car, and go from his dads and back. We payed rent to my parents and we make more than enough for an apartment we looked at. The problem is getting the $1000 to move in. [we have terrible credit] We have also asked for more than our share from my family members.

So with great saddness I am forced to post my cameras [2], my computer, and my purses on craigslist to try and get us close to that money! which even if we sell all that we will only have about half. So we are scrambling. We can deposit $100 to hold the apartment, but only time will tell if we can make that money. Dupe Search: Wet n Wild Gilded Age

I haven't even officially hauled this on my YouTube channel yet, but I had to do a post on this BEAUTIFUL trio ASAP! I had a feeling the first time I saw this on NouveauCheap that this may of been a dupe for MY ALL TIME FAVORITE EYESHADOW, MAC Grand Entrance from their starflash collection. I was very surprised to see other possible dupes in this trio! ON TO THE PICTURES!

This is Wet N Wild's Color Icon Trio in Guilded Age. BEAUTIFUL RIGHT!?!?!?

A Couple more photos! They have a beautiful Peachy/Champagne Lid shade, GREAT Mid gold eyelid shade, and a warm brown crease shade. The top champagne shade is the possible grand entrance dupe! Now to swatch this beauty.

This is swatches on bare skin, no primer! ONE SWIPE! Incredibly pigmented for drugstore shadows! Next I will swatch each shade with possible dupes.

From left to right you see the colors are pretty similar. Much closer in person then in this photo. I also included another WnW trio, walking on eggshells with a similar shade to grand entrance. I equally love all these shades! BEAUTIFUL wash of color on the lids.

Next is that LOVELY rich brown crease shade. This had no SPOT on dupe in my collection, but these colors are pretty close. Just have different finishes. MAC Mulch is more glittery, and UD Smog is more metallic that the crease color is in this trio! Definitely something you can pass as a dupe in my mind.

Lastly, the shimmery goodness that is the gold lid shade. These are the closest shades I found. Most spot on dupes, Including UD Half baked and another WnW Trio in I'm getting Sunburned.

The value of WnW trios are off the chart. Especially when you get such rich pigmented colors. I find they also last all day! You can find WnW at popular drugstores and mass retailers for just around $2! AWESOME!!!!!

First OFF I am sorry I haven't blogged in FOREVER, life happens! Now onto the good stuff!
Thanks to the great people of the CVS Beauty Club...
They did a random twitter giveaway, you had to tweet them with your favorite beauty product. You won a gift bag with CVS brand beauty items! I was so happy to be one of the winners! I thought I would share my FANTASTIC prize with you guys!

First the shopping bag! I LOVEEEE IT! It will be great to take with me when i shop! Nice, sturdy handles, sleek black bag! I could only get a little bit into this photo!

Now onto the GREAT products!

It included a Shaping Hair Spray, Deep Action Cream Cleanser, Sensitive Skin Body Wash, Cocoa Butter Deep Moisturizing Lotion, & Cleansing & Makeup Removing Wipes. ALL FULL SIZE [with the exception of the wipes, they are trial size, BUT THEY ARE HUGE for trial size]

First is the shaping hairspray. CVS Compares this to Sebastian Shaper Hairspray. This sucker is HUGE at 10.6 oz!!! I really like the finish and control I get with this hairspray. Even though I do not use hairspray ALL that often, I really enjoy this.

Next, the Deep action cream cleanser. CVS Compares this to Neutrogena cream cleanser. I have never used Neutrogena, but I really like this. It leaves my face soft and feeling moisturized, not tight. With this being oil free it would work well with all skin tones. I cannot comment about the Complexion clearing, but its a great all around cleanser. This is a standard 7oz.

Now on to the sensitive skin body wash. This is my least favorite of the bunch. Nothing to do with the product itself, but I look for a fragranced body wash for my specific liking. I also didn't find it to be the most moisturizing. Someone with sensitive skin may want to give this a try! Especially if you are currently using Dove Sensitive Skin Body wash, they compare this product to it! This contains 12 oz of product.

Now on to one of my favorites of the bunch! I LOVE COCOA BUTTER LOTION! The smell, the feel, how moisturizing it is! EVERYTHING! I also really love the large size of this at 24.5 oz!!!!! It just is so reminiscent of summer to me. They compare this to Vaseline intensive care cocoa butter lotion! I would always buy off brands because Vaseline wasn't worth the price tag, so when i saw this in the bag I Eeeeked! I have already used like 1/3 of this bad boy already! DEFINITELY HOLY GRAIL STUFF HERE!

MY OTHER FAV! I've never been one for makeup remover clothes, but these babiess! OMG LOVE THEM! They smell soooo good, leave my face feeling hydrated, and I do not have to struggle to get my makeup off! These are compared to Pond's Clean Sweep, but these feel like luxury to me!!! Definitely a MUST HAVE! This particular size is a trial, but with 15 wipes, its a good trial size!

Now for pricing, I didn't get price information for all the products, but when I was at CVS checking for my quarterly bonuses I saw the makeup remover wipes were priced significantly lower than the NAME BRAND. Around $4.95 for a full size! I will be purchasing these very soon! They have a large selection of different types of makeup removing and cleansing towelettes, so I will have to experiment and see what is my favorite. Again pricing for all CVS brand items are significantly lower than the name brand. One MAJOR reason I would shop for these items AT CVS, under their name brand is the REWARDS! When you go to their store, you scan your card and receive rewards coupons, if you are a member of the beauty club you receive $5 off every $50 spent! So many great reasons to shop CVS!

M.A.C. always releases a RIDICULOUS amount of collections every month. As much as i'd love to get something from every collection they release, I financially cannot! There are certain collections that I hear of and know that I want some thing right away. Like last year it was Venomous Villains. This year it is QUITE CUTE! I usually start saving as soon as a collection strikes me as a MUST have. This Collections features some, just as the name implies, QUITE CUTE COSMETICS. Mineralized blush swatches on Temptalia featuring Miss Behave & Sakura. As well as blush swatches on Xsparkage featuring Miss Behave & Giggly.

Cutie Quad swatches at Temptalia & xSparkage. Everyone has been talking about how poor the pigmentation is on this particular quad, but I really am loving this look Leesha from xSparkage came up with for it... here. Now on to the Lip products, one of the things I am PERSONALLY most excited for. I love love love PLUSHGLASS! Over on xSparkage she swatches a bunch of the lip products. On Temptalia she broke her swatches up in categories lipstick, lip pencils, & finally plushglass. Last swatches I've seen were of nail polishes! Xsparkage swatches these pretty cream polishes.

NOTD: Pastel Skittle Goodness

I feel like this is turning into more a of Nail blog than anything else. I've been swamped lately, so I haven't been able to do much other than quick nail of the day posts. Soon i will be reviewing things here. Plus any new product launches I start hearing about. Anyways, ON to the Mani. I love pastel creme polishes. I thought a skittle mani would be perfect to have all the pretty colors I wanted to use.

Beautiful isn't it? I want to say I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL AT PAINTING MY NAILS. I also really don't shape them a lot either. Plus they are very soft, so they are usually rather short! I hope you all don't mind.

Here's the colors I used:

- Wet n Wild Sunburst [LE bloom collection]

- China Glaze Lemon Fizz [Up & away Collection Spring '10]

- Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Mint Sorbet

- China Glaze Bahamian Escape

- Wet n Wild Laughing Lilac [LE Bloom Collection]

Then I added a coat of China Glaze White Cap from their Spring '11 Anchors Away Collection for a BEAUTIFUL subtle Sparkle. I love adding this polish on top!

This is a better shot at an angle to see the subtle sparkle! :D LOVE IT!
