7. A ship started from port and moving with 'I' miles/hour and other ship started From L and moving with 'H' miles/hour . At the place where these two ships will meet. (ans L*I*H)/(H+I)

8. A building with height D shadows up to G. A Neighbour building with what height shadows C feet. (ans CD/G)

9. A person was fined for exceeding the speed limit by 10mph. Another person was also fined for exceeding the speed limit by twice the same. If the second person was travelling at speed of 35mph . Find the speed limit (ans. 15mph)

10. A bus started from the bus stand at 8 Am and after staying 30 minutes at a destination return back to the bus stand. The Destination is 27 miles from the bus stand . The Speed of the bus is

18mph . In the return journey the bus travells with 50% fast speed. At what time it is return to the bus stand (1 p.m)

2) There is a five digit no: Find out the no: from following clues(6)
1) There are 2 prime numbers
2) digit 2 is the lowest
3) digit 3 is the largest
4) no digit repeats
5) digit 1 > 4th + 5th
6) 5th digit is double the 4th

3) A tells B,” I think, ur company has 30 Clerks?”
B says “ No, but if I have twice as much girls or thrice as much men, then I will have 30”.In a year or two perehaps.How many Clerks, B has now?
Ans : 18 (12 girls + 6 women)

4) a series 2, 8, 64, 512 .... next one

Ans: 512*256 =131072

5) There are 3 societies a,b,c.  a lent tractors to b and c as many

as they had. After some time b gave as many tractors to a and c

as many as they have. After sometime c did the same thing.

lets get started with the next questions.Here is the key of your succes.
The questions are:

1) There is a safe with a 5 digit No. The 4th digit is 4 greater than second digit, while 3rd digit is 3 less than 2nd digit. The 1st digit is thrice the last digit. There are 3 pairs whose sum is 11. Find the number.

Ans) 65292.

2)Given 100 to 999 nos. Probability of picking a no. with out digit 7 is?

Ans. 18/25.

3) A PERSON IS CLIMBING OF 60 MTS . FOR EVERY MINUTE HE IS CLIMBING 6 MTS AND SLIPPING 4 MTS . AFTER HOW MANY MINUTES HE MAY REACH THE TOP?

ANS: (60-6)/2 +1 :28

4)In a certain company 20% of the men and 40% of the women attended the annual company picnic.If 35% of all the employees are men .What % of all the employee went to the picnic?

ANS: 33%

5)Two trains move in the same direction at 50 kmph and 32 kmph respectively. A man in the slower train observes the 15 seconds elapse before the faster train completely passes by him. What is the length of faster train ?

ANS: 750m

7)What is the angle between the two hands of a clock when time is 8:30?

Hey Friends,
I am an Engineer seeking Job in companies like TCS, Patni , Infosys and many other high profile companies. It is a dream for me but all engineers have to pass through the phase of aptitude..
So lets begin...
All the question here are more or less asked in any of the placement papers of big companies. It will help u a lot.
Ideally u should be able to answer them in not more than 1.5 min..
So lets start....
Lets take a look at the question and give answers in 2 days and check whether u gave it correct or not..
Answers will be posted along with the solution after 2 days....

1. 6 persons standing in queue with different age group, after two years their average age will be 43 and seventh person joined with them. hence the current average age has become 45. find the age of seventh person?

Solution: Here the question appear as an easy one, but carried a lot of unwanted sentences and unwanted datas (i dint mention above) in exam which may confuse you on solving technique.

Let x be current average age of first 6 persons in queue and current age of seventh person be y. Then 6x will become the sum of those 6 persons age.

Now, let compute the sum of those 6 persons after two years, 6x+12 (as each and individual increase their age by 2). hence its average become (6x+12)/6 = 43 (give in question itself).

So now we can compute x from above equation. (x = 41, 6x = 246)
Let now we compute y, ((6x+y)/7) = 45, as we have value of x, compute y.

Ans: 69

2. A man starts his walking at 3PM from point A; he walks at the rate of 4km/hr in plains and 3km/hr in hills to reach the point B. During his return journey he walks at the rate of 6km/hr in hills and 4km/hr in plains and reaches the point A at 9PM.What is the distance between A and B?

Solution:

T1+T2=6

T1-time for forward journey,

T2-time for return journey

D1+D2=forward /return distance

D1-distance in plains

D2-distance in hills

D1/4 +D2/3=T1 (forward time)

D1/4 +D2/6=T2 (return time)

Adding we will get D1+D2=12 km

Ans: 12 km

3. Horse started to chase dog as it relieved stable two hrs ago. And horse started to ran with average speed 22km/hr, horse crossed 10 mts road and two small pounds with depth 3m, and it crossed two small street with 200 mts length. After traveling 6 hrs, 2hrs after sunset it got dog. compute the speed of dog?

Solution:
As we have speed and travel time of horse, we can get distance travelled by it...
Hence d = 22*6 = 132km,

Exactly this 132km was travelled by dog in 8 hours (as it started two hours earlier).
Hence speed of dog = 132/8 = 16.5km/hr
Ans: 16.5km/hr.

4. In a Knockout tournament 51 teams are participated, every team thrown out of the tournament if they lost twice. How many matches to be held to choose the winner?

Ans: 99 matches

5. 3, 22 , 7, 45, 15, ? , 31

Solution: Here it appear simple, because it arranged in arranged in sequence manner, but the actual question was some what twist mentioning fibonacci series and more over question was in statements (no numbers).. hence first try to understand the question well.

here let group alternate terms 3,7,15,31 (3+4 =7, 7+8 =15, 15+16=31)

Similarly for second group (22,45,? (22+23 = 45, 45+46 = 91) hence ans is 91.

6. In Ahmedabad many buildings were under residential category.for buildings they number as 1 to 100. For shops, corporation numbered between 150 and 200 only prime numbers. how many time 6 will appear in building numbering?

Solution:

For 1 to 10 - 1 six
11 to 20 - 1 six
Similarly upto 59 we utilise six, 6 times
from 60 to 69 (including 66) - 11 times
from 70 to 100 - 3, hence ans = 6+11+3 = 20
Ans:20.

7. ((4x+3y)+(5x+9y))/(5x+5y) = ? as (x/2y) = 2

Ans: 2 (simple algebra, I think no need of explanation)
