Uniform Civil Code

A friend of mine asked me, what is Uniform Civil Code and how does it help? Well yes, if it passed in assembly, but that's very unlikely as of now.

Let’s see first what is and then will discuss about how it can help

“Uniform civil Code in India is a proposal to have a generic set of governing laws for every citizen without taking into consideration the religion. “

Currently, there are personal laws based on the scriptures and customs of each major religious community. They are separate from the public law and are applied on issues like-

- Marriage
- Divorce
- Inheritance
- Adoption and Maintenance

It is during the per-Independence period that Personal laws came into existence, majorly for Hindu and Muslim citizens. But with an objective to gain and promote women's rights, equality and secularism, Uniform Civil Code was demanded in the 20th century by women activists.

But later it is not only the case for women’s right but mostly with Muslim personal law and Hindu personal Law. Muslim Personal law still reflects the orthodox and old mind set whereas Hindu laws has been corrected and evolved. As of now there is not much significance of Hindu’s Law after passing “Hindu Code Bill” and on another note most of the people doesn’t aware if something exists like this. The reason behind this is very simple. Its keep on evolving and become so easy to implement and adopt. On the contrary “Muslim Personal Law” is still very relevant and Indian Judiciary has very less to say in those matters. See the recent Quote by SC

In October 2015, Supreme Court of India asserted the need of a Uniform Civil Code and said that, "This cannot be accepted; otherwise every religion will say it has a right to decide various issues as a matter of its personal law. We don’t agree with this at all. It has to be done through a decree of a court.

India being a secular country guarantees its minorities the right to follow their own religion, culture and customs under Article 29 and 30. So the parties who is opposing can argue that implementing a Uniform Code will hamper India's secularism.

But this is not the case if you see the larger picture here. It is not only a Hindu-Muslim debate but involves other religious minorities as well.

The SC had earlier pointed out that discrimination in issues like marriage, divorce and inheritance may not be a good practice. It also said that there is a "total confusion" when comes to personal laws governing religious practices.

After the passing of the Hindu Code bill, the personal laws in India had two major areas of application: the common Indian citizens and the Muslim community, whose laws were kept away from any reforms. The frequent conflict between secular and religious authorities over the issue of uniform civil code eventually decreased, until the 1985 Shah Bano case. Bano was a 73-year-old woman who sought maintenance from her husband, Muhammad Ahmad Khan. You can read the full story in Wikipedia or search in Google.

Why we need UCC.

1) It Promote Real Secularism

2) All Indian should be treated same

3) It will give more rights to the women(Especially Muslim Women’s)

4) Every Modern nation has it

5) Personal Laws are having so many loop holes

6) It will reduce the vote bank policies

7) It will Integrate India

As of now Goa is the only state where UCC has been implemented. I will explain in details each of the point above in different post. In Nutshell UCC can solve so many age old problems which are still an hindrance for our development and always being an advantage for some political parties.

Woman Arrest Law :

An incident took place in Pune - a young girl was attacked by a man posing as a plain clothes officer; he asked her to come to the police station when she & her male friend didn't have a driver's license to show. He sent the boy off to get his license and asked the girl to accompany him to the police station. Took her instead to an isolated area where the horrendous crime was committed.

The law [which most of us are not aware of] clearly states that between 6 pm and 6 am, a woman has the right to REFUSE to go to the Police Station, even if an arrest warrant has been issued against her. It is a procedural issue that a woman can be arrested between 6pm and 6am, ONLY if she is arrested by a woman officer & taken to an ALL WOMEN police station. And if she is arrested by a male officer, it has to be proven that a woman officer was on duty at the time of arrest.

Please spread this article among as many girls you know. Also to boys coz this can help them protect their wife, sisters and mother. It is good for us to know our rights.

XYZ Office -> A fire alarm rang at 6 PM when almost all shift employees
are in office(approx 5000). As usual entire office was evacuated within
3 mins & every employee gathered outside office. 10 mins
passed..................................5 more mins passed.

Security Officer -> Announcement started, "Dear Employees - With melting
heart I am making this announcement that for many of you it will be a
last evacuation drill, as we are laying off almost 80% employee. While
moving in who-so-ever ID card won't work are layed off& all their
belongings will be couriered to them tomorrow. We followed this
approach as we don't want to fill email box size with layoff mail in
thousands & also to avoid any fight inside office". Hope you have nice
career ahead. Please move in & try your luck.

The first day of Pongal known as 'Bhogi Pongal' is a day for family gathering and is dedicated to Lord Indra, the king of the deities and God of the Clouds and Rains. It is also the beginning of the New Year according to the Malayalam calendar and before sunrise, a huge bonfire of useless things in home is lit that is kept burning throughout the night. The houses are then cleaned till they shine and are decorated with Kolams painted using rice four. The harvest of rice, turmeric and sugarcane is brought in for next day.

The second day of Pongal known as 'Surya Pongal' is dedicated to the Sun God. The granaries are kept full on this day and Sun God with his rays are painted on a plank as he is worshipped with the birth of the new auspicious month of Thai. Since the word 'Ponga' means 'to boil' representing plentiful and excess yield, a special dish is cooked on this day in a new mud-pot that comes in innovative shapes and have artistic designs on them called 'Pongapani'. A colorful sugarcane market is also set up on this day. The special dish is called 'Sarkkarai Pongal' and is offered to Sun God with sugarcane sticks.

The third day known as 'Mattu Pongal' is dedicated to the cattle as cowherds and shepherds pay thanks to their cows and bulls, wash them, paint their horns and cover them with shining metal caps. They are fed 'pongal' and tinkling bells are tied around their neck. Cattle races are conducted and in the game called 'Manji Virattu' groups of young men chase running bulls. Bull fights called 'Jallikattu' are also arranged at some places where young men have to take the money bags tied to the horns of ferocious bulls single-handedly and without the use of arms.

The third day is celebrated as 'Kanni Pongal' when unmarried girls cooks Ponggal wishing for wedding bells soon.

Pongal, as all Indian festivals, have interesting legends attached to it. Originated as a Dravidian harvest festival, it has found no mention in Indo-Aryan Puranas. According to the popular legend, the first day of the festival known as Bhogi Pongal was once dedicated to Lord Indra. The child Krishna came to know of the pride and arrogance of Indra on being the king of the deities and that he thought himself to be the most powerful of all the beings. He conjured a plan to teach him a lesson. When, as usual, his father and other villagers who were cowherds by profession, were preparing for the festival and offerings to Indra, Krishna objected and persuaded them to worship Mt Govardhan instead, as it gave them fodder for their cattle. When Indra came to know of this, he considered it a heresy of the villagers and sent thunderous pours, storms and lightning to drown them and punish them.

However, Lord Krishna had other plans in mind and he lifted up the Govardhan mountain on his little finger to protect the cowherds and their cattle. The simpletons tried to help him by putting their own sticks in the mountain out of love. The rains continued for three days and at last Indra realized his mistake and divine power of the young boy. He promised humility and begged Krishna's forgiveness. Since then, Krishna allowed to let the Bhogi celebrations continue in honor of Indra. A beautiful depiction of the scene can be scene at Mahabalipuram where Krishna lifting Govardhan has been carved skilfully and since then the origin of the festival of Pongal came into being.

Another legend associated to the third day of Pongal known as Mattu Pongal involves Lord Shiva and his mount, Nandi the bull. It is said that once Shiva ordered Nandi to go to the Earth and deliver his message to the people that they should take oil bath every day and eat food once a month. However, the dozing Nandi could not hear the message right and told the people to eat everyday and take oil bath once a month. Shiva was furious and said that due to his folly, there will be lack of grains on the Earth and so he would have to remain on Earth to help humans plough the fields.

The secretary could tell in a moment that such backwoods, country hicks had no business at Harvard and probably didn't even deserve to be in Harvard.

'We want to see the President,' the man said softly. 'He'll be busy all day,' the secretary snapped. 'We'll wait,' the lady replied.

For hours the secretary ignored them, hoping that the couple would finally become discouraged and go away.

They didn't and the secretary grew frustrated and finally decided to disturb the president.' Maybe if you see them for a few minutes, they'll leave,' she said to him.

The President, stern faced and with dignity, strutted toward the couple. The lady told him, 'We had a son who attended Harvard for one year. He loved Harvard. He was happy here. But about a year ago, he was accidentally killed.

My husband and I would like to erect a memorial to him, somewhere on campus.' The president wasn't touched....

He was shocked. 'Madam,' he said, gruffly, 'we can't put up a statue for every person who attended Harvard and died. If we did, this place would look like a cemetery.

'Oh, no,' the lady explained quickly. 'We don't want to erect a statue. We thought we would like to give a building to Harvard.' The president rolled his eyes. He glanced at the gingham dress and homespun suit, and then exclaimed, 'A building!'

Do you have any earthly idea how much a building costs? We have over seven and a half million dollars in the physical buildings here at Harvard.

'For a moment the lady was silent. The president was pleased. Maybe he could get rid of them now.

The lady turned to her husband and said quietly, 'Is that all it costs to start a university? Why don't we just start our own?' Her husband nodded.

The president's face wilted in confusion and bewilderment. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Stanford got up and walked away, traveling to Palo Alto, California where they established the University that bears their name - Stanford University, a memorial to a son that Harvard no longer cared about.

Most of the time we judge people by their outer appearance, which can be misleading, and in this impression only we tend to treat people badly by thinking they can do nothing for us thus we tend to loose our potential good friends, employees or customers.

I Just Got This Email From My Friend ..Email Is Saying About How Its Feel To Be A Satyamites. Please Read.

Dear all of my Satyamites,

Yesterday will be a memorable day to us throughout our life. Little bit of business & human nature knowledge is forcing me to write few of my thoughts (Please ignore them if they doesn’t make any sense). Ask yourself who is worst affected by all this mayhem. Is it u & me (employees), Govt or Satyam & Ramalingaraju ?. My conviction says that employees of any MNC are associated to that company as long as they don’t have any better option, the best thing government can do for a company is to keep itself away from it. But there was a visionary who created wealth for a nation for 20 years, the only thing that cannot be separated from Satyam for these 20 years & ahead also if Satyam remains was\is a name called “Ramalinga Raju”. Fortunately I got some 15 min of time talking to him when i was an ELTP. He’s much softer then we see him. Imagine what would be going on in his mind when he was writing yesterday’s letter accepting all the things which he did only to save his company. All have made him scapegoat for what has happened & left the company keeping their integrity intact. He was cursed badly for putting the money of a public limited company into his family driven company but it only now clear that how he was transferrring the risk from 50,000 people to his two sons & his known-integrity.

The worst which can happen to we the employees is that we are out of our current job, jobless for time being & then again getting a job which we deserve & our families will be worried for us(as they are always). But a relatively bitter truth will be for the Raju-family who will be annoyed for ages & will be treated as miscreants by those who do not know the truth or more about Greedy investors & money market. And the truth is that he has not stolen some thousand crores rupees into his own pocket, it was a bubble he created which busted. (And every other company on earth does so, being wary of not getting trapped)

One more thing which annoys me is does a philanthropist guy deserve this disgraceful exit ? I really feel sad about the way he’s been portrait in the media. Our rustic fellows have already started comparing him with Harshad Mehta. Tell me any incident in corporate India where any chairman has dared to confess such irregularities in his own firm. And believe me it takes hell lot of guts to accept all this publicly. And as I read the news today morning it was published there that even his community members have suggested him not to tell anything and later on he can play with the Indian laws as every politician does in India. But as he mentioned it was all deep regret in his conscience which lead him to confess all this.

I am not at all saying that he’s totally innocent and unaware of what’s been going there but a person who has started a journey called Satyam 20 yrs ago with few associates and made it 4th largest IT Company in India, done all this for sake of his 50000 Satyam family members. In the end i’ll ask only one question to all of my friends,” for whom he has created this bubble, if it was he who was going bankrupt? ”

The day before all this mayhem started, we all were proud to be called as Satyamites and were wearing the Satyam tag displaying our esteem to others, and now due to a single incidence u are feeling awkward to show the same Satyam tag in public?? I don’t know about others, but still I am proud to be a SATYAMITE!!!

With the US economy tanking, the question for IT professionals is this: Is my niche relatively safe?

According to many observers, there is good news for IT folks in a number of sectors, whether they’re veterans with decades of experience or recent graduates whose skills are untested in the marketplace: If you’ve got the right tech skills and can think like a line-of-business manager, you’ll be in demand. “For sure, there is still a shortage of IT skills,” says Jeanne Beliveau-Dunn, head of the certifications group at networking vendor Cisco Systems.

But with the economy likely to shrink for a good part of 2009, will employers be able to build their IT staffs, or at least fill vacant positions? Here’s what we’re hearing around the industry.

Will IT Head Count Rise, Fall or Go Flat in 2009?

The proportion of employers increasing their IT head count will edge up from 40 percent in 2008 to a projected 43 percent in 2009, according to a survey by the Society for Information Management (SIM) published in November 2008 using data collected in June.

Jerry Luftman says this number remains valid, even with the fiasco in the financial markets. “Information systems and business executives are not panicking,” says Luftman, SIM’s vice president for academic affairs. “In previous recessions, IT was the place to cut, cut, cut.” Why not this time? Because IT has become a champion of cost-cutting across the enterprise, Luftman says.

Offshoring may be more of a threat to American IT jobs in 2009 than it has been in recent years. After trending down slightly since 2006, IT budget allocations for offshore outsourcing will jump from 3.3 percent in 2008 to 5.6 percent in 2009, the SIM survey says. Why the increase? “The economy is in a downturn, and many organizations believe they can get IT staff at a much lower cost offshore,” Luftman says. IT executives may also feel financial pressure to try offshoring, even if they have concerns about quality, he says.

Financial IT Jobs Lost and Gained

Obviously, thousands of jobs in distressed banking and financial services firms will be lost to downsizing, mergers or bankruptcies. But for the companies left standing, “even in the worst crisis on Wall Street, networks still have to perform,” says Beliveau-Dunn. For that reason, mission-critical IT operations will carry on, while many growth-oriented IT projects may be suspended or sacked, industry sources say.

But just as the Sarbanes-Oxley accounting reforms created work for IT professionals in the wake of the early-2000s corporate scandals, the current financial crisis is driving up demand for financial IT talent in select niches.

“The government has enacted new securities regulations and modified existing ones” to mitigate the effects of the financial crisis, says Ari Packer, a financial software engineer with Galatea Associates LLC in Somerville, Massachusetts. As a result, Packer and his colleagues have been putting in extra-long hours for their clients -- Wall Street broker-dealers -- to rework software that must continue to function well in a rapidly changing regulatory environment.

When we were jobless all the time in office ....
When we walked around the streets late in the night ..

When we put budget for the next month (but strictly not following it) Last year has taken us through all our ups and downs we faced in our life...

2009.......one more year.....A year to....

To find our life partner (might be)
to forget old crushes.
to smile........
to let people know how much u care...
to learn from our mistakes.......
to cry when we are feeling down.....

One Ant knocks the door of a house. The house owner opens the door.

"I want a place to stay", said the Ant...

"I have a vacant room which you can occupy for free of cost", said the owner. Ant went inside and occupied that vacant room.

After some days, the Ant brought in another Ant and requested the owner "Can you please allow this Ant to stay along with me".

Now the question is: Why did the owner ask for rent when the tenth Ant came in?

Technique Summary: On one fine day go to a busy market street, and drop
your credit card on the road and you are all set, just come back to home.
and sit relaxed for month, and wait for your credit card statement to
come.

Now please go through the bill and details of how your credit card got
abused. If you can take all this and still smile and are in position to
pay the bill, then you are ready! just say those words "I do"

Else please understand that your credit card will be abused like this for
the rest of your life, and you will have to take all this with a smile on
your face. so think twice before you do the DO!

3: The Chewing Gum Technique

Technique Summary: A very simple, quick but effective technique. Go to
your nearest super store and buy a single chewing gum. Now put into your
mouth and start chewing it, enjoy the sweet flavored juices, which will
flow in your mouth for sometime, then the chewing will start turning
tasteless, and bland. now you will be tempted to spit the gum and replace
with a fresh one. so the real test starts now. You have to keep chewing
that gum for the rest of the day. no sweetness, no artificial flavors, no
juices, Just a piece of rubber in your mouth.

If you can do it successfully, then the gates of marriage are open and
also welcoming you in. Else, some relationships can become like a stale
chewing gum, and you have to get used to them, before you get into them.

Qn: What are the thumb rules for a layman to take care of his heart?

Ans:
1. Diet - Less of carbohydrate, more of protein, less oil
2. Exercise - Half an hour's walk, at least five days a week; avoid lifts and avoid sitting for a longtime
3. Quit smoking
4. Control weight
5. Control blood pressure and sugar

Qn: Is eating non-veg food (fish) good for the heart?

Ans: No

Qn: It's still a grave shock to hear that some apparently healthy person
gets a cardiac arrest. How do we understand it in perspective?

Ans: This is called silent attack; that is why we recommend everyone past the age of 30 to undergo routine health checkups.

Qn: Are heart diseases hereditary?

Ans: Yes

Qn: What are the ways in which the heart is stressed? What practices do you suggest to de-stress?

Ans: Change your attitude towards life. Do not look for perfection in everything in life.

Qn: Is walking better than jogging or is more intensive exercise required to keep a healthy heart?

Ans: Walking is better than jogging since jogging leads to early fatigue and injury to joints

Qn: You have done so much for the poor and needy. What has inspired you to do so?

Ans: Mother Theresa , who was my patient

Qn: Can people with low blood pressure suffer heart diseases?

Ans: Extremely rare

Qn: Does cholesterol accumulates right from an early age
(I'm currently only 22) or do you have to worry about it only after you are above 30 years of age?

Ans: Cholesterol accumulates from childhood.

Qn: How do irregular eating habits affect the heart ?

Ans: You tend to eat junk food when the habits are irregular and your body's enzyme release for digestion gets confused.

Qn: How can I control cholesterol content without using medicines?

Ans: Control diet, walk and eat walnut.

Qn: Can yoga prevent heart ailments?

Ans: Yoga helps.

Qn: Which is the best and worst food for the heart?

Ans: Fruits and vegetables are the best and the worst is oil.

Qn: Which oil is better - groundnut, sunflower, olive?

Ans: All oils are bad .

Qn: What is the routine checkup one should go through? Is there any specific test?

Ans: Routine blood test to ensure sugar, cholesterol is ok. Check BP, Treadmill test after an echo.

Qn: What are the first aid steps to be taken on a heart attack?

Ans: Help the person into a sleeping position , place an aspirin tablet under the tongue with a sorbitrate tablet if available, and rush him to a coronary care unit since the maximum casualty takes place within the first hour.

Qn: How do you differentiate between pain caused by a heart attack and that caused due to gastric trouble?

Ans: Extremely difficult without ECG.

Qn: What is the main cause of a steep increase in heart problems amongst youngsters? I see people of about 30-40 yrs of age having heart attacks and serious heart problems.

Ans: Increased awareness has increased incidents. Also, s edentary lifestyles, smoking, junk food, lack of exercise in a country where people are genetically three times more vulnerable for heart attacks than Europeans and Americans.

Qn: Is it possible for a person to have BP outside the normal range of 120/80 and yet be perfectly healthy?

Ans: Yes.

Qn: Marriages within close relatives can lead to heart problems for the child. Is it true?

Ans : Yes, co-sanguinity leads to congenital abnormalities and you may not have a software engineer as a child

Qn: Many of us have an irregular daily routine and many a times we have to stay late nights in office. Does this affect our heart ? What precautions would you recommend?

Ans : When you are young, nature protects you against all these irregularities. However, as you grow older, respect the biological clock.

Qn: Will taking anti-hypertensive drugs cause some other complications (short / long term)?

Ans : Yes, most drugs have some side effects. However, modern anti-hypertensive drugs are extremely safe.

Qn: Will consuming more coffee/tea lead to heart attacks?

Ans : No.

Qn: Are asthma patients more prone to heart disease?

Ans : No.

Qn: How would you define junk food?

Ans : Fried food like Kentucky , McDonalds , samosas, and even masala dosas.

Qn: You mentioned that Indians are three times more vulnerable. What is the reason for this, as Europeans and Americans also eat a lot of junk food?

Ans: Every race is vulnerable to some disease and unfortunately, Indians are vulnerable for the most expensive disease.

Qn: Does consuming bananas help reduce hypertension?

Ans : No.

Qn: Can a person help himself during a heart attack (Because we see a lot of forwarded emails on this)?

Ans : Yes. Lie down comfortably and put an aspirin tablet of any description under the tongue and ask someone to take you to the nearest coronary care unit without any delay and do not wait for the ambulance since most of the time, the ambulance does not turn up.

Qn: Do, in any way, low white blood cells and low hemoglobin count lead to heart problems?

Ans : No. But it is ideal to have normal hemoglobin level to increase your exercise capacity.

Qn: Sometimes, due to the hectic schedule we are not able to exercise. So, does walking while doing daily chores at home or climbing the stairs in the house, work as a substitute for exercise?

Ans : Certainly. Avoid sitting continuously for more than half an hour and even the act of getting out of the chair and going to another chair and sitting helps a lot.

Qn: Is there a relation between heart problems and blood sugar?

Ans: Yes. A strong relationship since diabetics are more vulnerable to heart attacks than non-diabetics.

Qn: What are the things one needs to take care of after a heart operation?

Ans : Diet, exercise, drugs on time , Control cholesterol, BP, weight.

Qn: Are people working on night shifts more vulnerable to heart disease when compared to day shift workers?

Ans : No.

Qn: What are the modern anti-hypertensive drugs?

Ans : There are hundreds of drugs and your doctor will chose the right combination for your problem, but my suggestion is to avoid the drugs and go for natural ways of controlling blood pressure by walk, diet to
reduce weight and changing attitudes towards lifestyles.

Qn: Does dispirin or similar headache pills increase the risk of heart attacks?

Ans : No.

Qn: Why is the rate of heart attacks more in men than in women?

Ans : Nature protects women till the age of 45.

Qn: How can one keep the heart in a good condition?

Ans : Eat a healthy diet, avoid junk food, exercise everyday, do not smoke and, go for health checkup s if you are past the age of 30 ( once in six months recommended) ....

I got this mail from GOONJ(NGO).And after reading this i wanted to share this to all of you...and inspite of sending mail i thought it is the broad spectrum to share this...That's why i pasted this here....its really a worth reading.......

Dear Friends,

We are smart, impulsive, self-centered people .. What a way to describe ourselves .. but if we see the reaction to Mumbai terror and a series of sms and mails going around, we don't look like this .. we seem to be very responsible citizens, fighting every moment for our rights and committed for a change .. Critisizing every single person in the government & the system ..

After a few days - a new cricket series will change the priorities for the media, the newspapers will come out with half page luring and attractive advertisements for Christmas and New Year eve celebrations. When our children will get a winter break and we'll start exploring the best deals for Manali & Shimla and we'll be worried again for our performance in our respective offices ..

But what about the quintals of wax we burnt to show our solidarity, the disgust, the call for change, millions of sms of hatred against the political system which made the mobile companies a few crore richer or the series of endless chain mails of saluting jawans and throwing bricks on politicians and systems ..

And what about intellectuals who suggested boycott of polls and the system, as a solution to get rid of these dirty politicians & I salute these intellectuals; what a suggestion.. Don t fight- run away .. go and have a picnic but don t vote .. ESCAPE & since every single person you vote for does not deserve it.. Let s create a vacuum .. Let the country be governed by the people from their drawing rooms or coffee homes ..

I often feel why do we always need a disaster to wake up, that too for a few days? Why don t we understand that there are certain disasters, which remain with us, which have become a part of our life BUT we don t want to work on those since we are too comfortable in our cocoon ..

We would probably send a hate mail to anyone who said we are the most self-centered people on this earth. When we find our house full of mosquitoes we bring a good night, if that doesn t work we bring a spray, BUT when the municipality guy comes and fines us Rs.500/- for leaving some water in our cooler, in the name of breeding mosquito-do we ever question them on the drains maintained by them, with millions of mosquitoes & If you want water you buy a bottle or a cane, if you want in bulk you fix up an expensive RO system. Ironically the government sells its own
brand of packaged water .. Have we ever questioned why is the tap water not drinkable? The water bill doesn t say - bill for washing and bathing water so why should we pay separately for drinking water?

Good for us since we can afford all this .. I guess one of the reasons we the rich, the middle class don t fight all these things is because we have no moral right since we are the ones responsible for
many of these evils. How many poor people kill each other in over speeding cars? How many poor people have the confidence to jump red lights and break traffic rules since bribing a traffic cop Rs 100/- is the easy way out? How many poor people do you see standing in the middle of the road and throwing tantrums, blocking the traffic if another car make a small scratch on their vehicle and how many have motorbikes to overtake from the left at high speed??? For most of us showing concern about the country and its people means sending a chain mail of a well designed power-point, giving some ugly details or sending a series of smsand we the responsible citizens adhere to our responsibility by sending it further and &&. further.

For GOD s sake please remember mere thoughts are not enough for this country to change .. What we need is an action & an initiative & means you need to add an action to a thought .. There is no dearth of people who have opinions, thoughts, and suggestions but how many of us take an initiative to do something on the field? How many of us are ready to act & Why do we need an incident or a drama to react? When the media shows dramatic pictures of a child drowning in a manhole, our highly responsible media and new breed of breaking news journalists break the news and all of us are ready to help .. but what about thousands of unnoticed open gutters across the country and scores of people falling in them .. a father throws his child in the river due to
poverty and you get a new national news- but what about millions of children dying or deserted in similar conditions?

How many of us know that 62 children of Korku tribe in just one block of Khandwa district in MP recently died of malnutrition .. due to lack of a few kgs of basic food material .. and what have we done ..

How many of us are raising a voice against the callous and highly unprofessional attitude of most of the electronic media, where a 20 years old so called journalist with no background knowledge shows you the live commentary of Mumbai attacks with most important- first ever visuals of blood soaked faces of dead terrorists & mutilated bodies. I remember in my mass communication days there was a chapter on ethics in journalism and we often used to hate the preaching but to score marks we had to read .. and these days when most selections are based on one s acting abilities and voice quality instead of your journalistic knowledge, who thinks of ethics ? But, have we ever told the channel guys that we ll boycott your channel if you keep showing these dirty, misleading, dangerous and often fake stories ?

Why don t we put pressure on the authorities to cut the electricity to hundreds of offices and houses of big people for not paying their electricity bills for years.. When the same authorities fine us for a delay of two days.. Why don t we ask the municipality the reason behind breaking the same footpath or road ten times in a year and rebuilding & what about the police stations across the country where we feel scared, to go and file a report? Why are we not raising the issue of police reforms and forcing our police to pay attention to the safety and security of people rather than hounding trucks for the extra bribe money ..

Its time to get up, wake up & and change the way we do some things in our own lives. If you disagree with me on some points don t waste your energy in replying back or sending a chain mail .. work on the points you do agree on .. It s time to take a positive action. We can t spend time in criticizing the system, the bureaucracy, the administration and so on ...

We all know the realities and we also know that the people behind these failures are enjoying themselves. They know us well, they know how good we are in criticizing them from a distance. They also know that we are busy people, we are too involved in our personal lives, office etc. Top of all they know that we are impulsive and highly self centered people & If we are able to develop our own comfort zone, we will not confront with them for the life of others ..

I somehow see the biggest fault in ourselves, in the masses, in the so called middle/upper literate class .. We are not angry enough and even if we are, we don t express it at the right place ..

In every field we need reforms &. even if we forget about the theme of India as a developed nation or a shining vision of 2020 & first lets make it a normal nation where children stop dying due to lack of 100 grams of rice, where people are not forced to eat rats due to poverty, where a lady does not sell herself for 10/-, where countless people don t suffer due to lack of a piece of second hand cloth, where children don t have to walk 5 kms to school, with no notebook or
pencil. Where a women does not become a bonded labor for a saree, or a lady does not die due to non availability of a clean piece of cloth to use as a sanitary napkin, where a family get at least a few litre of drinking water a day or where we have the basic medical facility so that people stop suffering due to non availability of basic medicines like Crocin ..

And believe me there are good hopes and chances rather a surety that all this can be changed .. We all have a series of success stories to follow- we all know a number of people who have taken initiatives and have changed the lives of millions. We are also familiar and were there, standing with the families of Nitish Katara, Priyadarshini Mattoo and Jessica Lall. Many of you were writing, walking and protesting in the heat, lighting candles, putting pressures on the authorities and the system and we all saw the results .. It was our collective power that worked &

This is the time to do it all over again, the task is much bigger and the path is too long & this time our target is not a spoiled child of a politician or a senior officer or a few terrorists who take us for
ransom, this time we are talking about changing the system, the machinery, the way we all work and think.

And to start with, people like you and I need to start understanding our own power- the power to change. The value of our voice- the voice to scream on injustice, the responsibilities of a citizen- not just to live for self but to let people around also live ..

Its time to start using some of our unwritten fundamental rights-to get angry, to question, to raise a voice, to ask and match it with a fundamental duty: To ACT &.

A Hard Slap!!! OUCH!!!!!!!!!!

What?How dare you..? to think like this? What do you think i m a freak...i m crazy? not at all...Don't go on topic...Yes definetely it was a hard slap but not by any girl...No No ...okie let
me tell in this way..No Slap by any female ...Now ok?

So exactly what happened? Again a nice incident from Delhi Diary...
We are movie freak,movie lover,movie mania or you can say we love movie...we means?are yaar my friends ..You people can call us "Shaitoon ki tooli" yes but obvious at this time now everyone is setteled in their life and of course they are enjoying a lot.....Year of incident i don't remember but it was terrific friday of winter Season...A new release ..yup

very famous movie.."TITANIC"..if you people remembered the year of release than that is the year of incident.We used to go either PVR or PRIYA Multiplex..Both were very close to our location as well as we used to find good crowd over there...Especially Girls..Mind Blowing....
Then and Now..What the HELL?????

Anyway..So we went to PVR(SAKET) to watch the movie...first day first show..sometimes last show also...it was our passion or now i can say craziness...There was only three category of ticket 10rs,120rs,190rs...and very obvious we preferred to buy 10rs ticket..as we were student and there was no much difference in seats ..so we never wanted to waste money ...

But at that day we were little bit late and the queue was too long to queued..it would have been
waste if we queued up for the ticket..so we started searching the blackier to buy a ticket.
At one place we found some people were arguing about something.

We needed around 5-6 ticket...we went over there and one of our friend RajKumar jha asked them what is going on here?one of them replied that they have some extra ticket and this man...??? before he completes RajKumar told them we want some ticket can you give us those ticket.....and That's it....And that BullShit....A hard Slap on his face....we all were stunned...it was quite unexpected.....

Sometimes it is very wise to listen full sentences...The person who slapped him was a ploice man in civil dress and he is on vigil to stop black marketting....When one of them replied at that time we would have to listen what exactly he was trying to say...before that only RajKumar demanded for the ticket...and that policeman hold them because they were trying to sale those tickets......Now what?Of course not...yes.. yes we thought about this as he was in civil dress so we can do that if we had some extra guts.....do what? i mean we Started thinking to return back with better punches..But it didn't happened...we followed him for quite long time but we were not able to boost up our courage to do that......

Finally we returned back without seeing any movie....that was the Cool Friday ever i enjoyed...

She Called Me an "Agent"...
No..No i don't want any explanation....why she called me agent...how she can call me an "agent"..Am i look like any agent? You are the culprit Boss...Definetly you would have told her ....No yaar not at all..why will i told her?No no definetly you are culprit..How mean she is??????
Listen Sonu...don't be panic..Its not like that..you are overconscious about this...jaane de na...aisa kuch nhai hai...
I never forget this incident..It happened around NOv-Dec of year 2001 i believe.I was in delhi living with my friends .I was there to prepare for IIT entrance exam..but apart from that i did all other things..We are around 6-7 friends living together...And Believe me we were there either for engineering or medical...But none of us was serious except Abhinav(Mithu)...he was very career oriented person..still he is..so at that time he was doing graduation from Delhi university.....But But But ..don't think that he was not doing masti or not involved in our deeds..graduation was just a side business as he was in the first year itsef..So no much pressure of study......
So the point is She needed a flat on rent..so she asked Abhinav about the possibilites in our surroundings...And of course like others how could abhinav say "NO"....So he asked Sonu one of our best friend and also he was living with us to find any flat in our locality.....

I don't remember the date but i went with abhinav to pickup her and her mother..We went RK PURAM to pick up and we have to come back "katwaariyasarai"...Sonu was waiting at the ground floor as we were living at the second floor....from there we went to see some flats in our locality suggested by sonu....As she is abhinav's friend everybody was trying to be decent ..Sonu was little bit excited to pay some more attention...And here the much awaited thing comes...
"Are you Agent"...She Asked Sonu.....No No..he is my friend abhinav Replied.....And believe me Look at the sonu's face.....Dammm.....Just Like Somebody gave him a hard slap.......
Actuallly the way sonu was explaining all about the flats..about the sourroundings..anybody could be confused...

After that we used to tease him calling agent.....But that was Awesome.....I never Forget this incident....

Secret face of the Sphinx revealed

The Sphinx, one of Egypt's most famous monuments and an icon of the world, may be much older than thought.
A television documentary will this week probe the secrets of the Sphinx which towers over the Giza Plateau.
A new survey by geologist Colin Reader has put forward a radical new theory that the Sphinx might have originally had an entirely different face.
He says rainwater erosion on the Sphinx's enclosure is consistent with it being created before the first pyramid.
Historical architect Dr Jonathan Foyle believes the monument may have once had a much larger face. Visual effects artists have created digital images of what the Sphinx could have looked like.

Egyptologists believe the Sphinx was built shortly after the first pyramid 4,500 years ago by the pharaoh Khafre.

The new theory will be revealed in a Channel Five documentary on Thursday December 11 at 8pm made by Atlantic Productions.

In Search Of Peace

In last Post i wrote about Mumbai Terror Attack..i wanted to Continue That..But finally i dropped my idea. There are too many posts , to many articles on this issues all over the net..so finally i decided not to write anything about this...

But...Yes i want to say something Like.. Either it is the first time or second time doesn't matter , we came together, we are united ,and i want this unity for forever, i want this type of rythym forever.If you all see the epsiode step wise you can easily identify how a common man get effected..But not only common man, this time surprisingly celebrities, and so many famous personalities are also with us . Whatever be the reason..either its their consiousness about their security,about their life or may be some other reason..But they are with the general public...

And i want to add a point here that we shouldn't forget that a simple person, a common man can't make the public crazy....each one doesn't having the capability to lead..only few can and rest are followers.....

So be with them without bothering about their status symbol. Finally what we need ..A simple

peace...So keep it searching..till then bye bye...

While preparing to write what I am writing right now, the cursor stood blank on the page for a while, because I scarcely knew where to start. I'm afraid that what I am about to say is incomplete and inarticulate, but i have to write because i want to.

These days almost every body are angry against the politicians..against the government,against the system....

ofcourse right now each indian is thinking only one thing....we have to change the system...

we saw what happened in mumbai last week...No need to say this attack was not on mumbai but

on each and every indian...First time there are no two opinions...we can draw a simple consensus..

Every indian wants a strict action against these bloody terriosts....Every indians stands united

against these bloody terror attack.....and the message is very clear ...we are not going to

tollerate anymore......

This is message to those bloody terriost..."Don't play with our sentiments...stop killing the innocent people, If you have Guts come forward...stop fighting proxy war...You want war, we will give you war but fight like a man....and we will show you who is the real man".

Again this is not that's it. We registerd our protest...we made abused some politicians...we demanded

to change the system.....we are alert now....we are ready to tackle any situation...Security agencies

are much more alert....Goverment handling the situation in very good and effective manner...

What do you think??? Is this enough? After that no need to think anything?After that can we

make oueself a relax person? After that can we roam freely?
