Oh my GAWD (sorry I couldn't resist.) Many many years ago my boyfriend (now hubby) asked me to watch his favorite show with him, Friends!! At the time we watched a random rerun episode, but I instantly fell in love and within the week we went and purchased the entire series!! I have watched those DVDS with my hubby, sister, dad and 2 years ago watched them with my youngest son. We have a Thanksgiving tradition of watching the friends Thanksgiving specials now.

When I was a kid we had the best video games. One of my favorite things to do is get out my old game systems and play my vintage games with my kids. It feels weird calling the games I grew up with vintage!! My kids always make fun of me though about the graphics. I guess when I see what they have now our old school graphics weren't that great lol! It is one of the reasons I love that Nintendo seems to be revamping a lot of the old games!! And Nintendo is updating them without loosing that classic feeling! Recently my kiddos and I were able to play the new Luigi's Mansion 2 HD

Same great game that we love, but with lots of visual updates.

Explore multiple haunted mansions with Luigi and his ghost-hunting Poltergust 5000.

Progress through several missions to collect the missing shards of the Dark Moon scattered across several different haunted mansions, each with their own puzzles and ghosts. Go for a top score by using your ghost-hunting tool, the Poltergust 5000, to suck up ghosts (and window curtains) and blow air to search every nook and cranny.

This fun adventure, originally released for the Nintendo 3DS system, is now visually enhanced in HD on the Nintendo Switch system. Friendly ghosts turned fiendish is a job for Luigi! The Dark Moon over Evershade Valley has a calming effect on the ghosts that reside there. The strange Professor E. Gadd has been studying the friendly spirits. But when the Dark Moon breaks apart and desends into the valley below, the friendly ghosts become hostile. Luigi must restore the Dark Moon.

My kids and I have not yet beat the game, but we sure are having fun playing! We got a digital copy, but physical copies are available as well.

Summer vacation has officially started!! And since it has started we have had at least 5 rainy days. I love my kids but being stuck indoors with them on rainy days is like a form of torture. These are the days their Nintendo Switches are like a life line for this mama who can't play one more game of uno!

Recently they have been into revamped old games. Like Smash Bros, and Yoshi. I was so excited when I saw Paper Mario was getting a revamp because I just knew my kids were going to love it

The revamp of the classic RPG that features Mario and a whole bunch of other heroic (and sometimes odd!) characters. Released on May 23, the game has been shined up since the original release on the Nintendo GameCube system

Join Mario on an epic paper-adventure to collect the Crystal Stars before the X-Nauts do! Leaf through a storybook world made of paper as you set off to find legendary treasure! Team up with a colorful cast of charming characters, battle in epic scraps against shadowy foes, harness paper abilities to find surprises around every fold, and more! I love the graphics update, but also that they kept the story line fun and engaging. My kids also liked that they there is more save blocks in the game. Also that you can retry a battle instead of resetting to the last save spot.

Overall my kids loved the game. We only been playing for a few days and so far no complaints!

Lets talk about one of the Miller's all time favorite snacks! Wiley Wallaby Licorice!!

This sweet company offers something for everyone, with several different flavors and even a Low Sugar Gluten Free choice, everyone is sure to find something they love.

First let's talk flavors. There is Classic Red, sour licorice drops with a candy shell, watermelon, green apple, blasted berry, classic black, huckleberry, blueberry pomegranate and more. Each is blasted with flavor and super soft. Well besides the candy-coated ones obviously, they obviously have a crunch outside!

Honestly Wiley Wallaby Gourmet Licorice is perfect year round. My kids love to see it in their Easter basket and Christmas stocking. During Halloween I even put some into my nephews candy bags. When I'm sitting out on my deck in the summer its a nice treat if I'm to lazy to cut up fruit! Its the perfect movie candy and even great for on the go car trips! Unlike other licorice Wiley Wallaby is bursting with flavor! Not only that but, they made sure their licorice was Vegan, Kosher, and only used Sustainable Palm Oils.

My review:

Taste- These taste amazing. I will say that just because you don't like one flavor doesn't mean you wont like another one. I was not big on the Blueberry Muffin, but the chocolate chip and regular were delicious!! They are sweet without being overbearingly so.

Texture - The texture is a quite a bit thicker than peanut better. My kids normally put a scoop of peanut butter in a bowl and scope it up with a cracker. You wont be able to do that with these. They def. need to be spread with a knife or spoon.

Versatility - I love that you can eat this on so many things! On crackers, rice cakes, apples, in yogurt on toast and so much more!

If you want a guilt free snack you definitely want to try Oat Boss Granola Butter!

I know I'm not the only one guilt of this, but sometimes I read the Bible and forget to apply it to my life. I sometimes forget that the Bible is not just a collection of history, but also a handbook given to us by God to help us with the day-to-day stuff no matter how big or small. Whenever something bad happens in my life, my first action is to try and fix it myself. When in truth I need to turn to God and my Bible. With the Bible we can answer most of life's hard questions and the ones we can't answer, if we read the Bible, we know to trust God and believe he is working everything for our good. It hard though! We all had those days when we just wanted to toss in the towel and give up. We all been in situations that we just can't see a solution to. We have all made the same mistakes over and over again. And we have all turned to God last, when in truth we should have turned to him first. How do we stop this? Well, I'm not sure lol As I said I'm guilty of it myself. I do know though that days I read my Bible first thing in the morning I feel closer to God. My day doesn't feel as bad because I started it out in the word. I know that the more I read the Bible the more prepared I will be when certain situations come up. And I'm also aware that no matter how much I read my Bible I will still mess up and still face trials, but it is okay because I have a God that loves me and understands I am a work in progress.

So how can I dig deeper? How can I more efficiently apply the Bible to my life? How can I use it in my marriage, raising my kids, my job, when talking to friends and just for the day-to-day stuff? How can I stop looking at the Bible as "their story" and start seeing it as "my story"?

I cannot believe Christmas is only 1 month away!!! And for once I'm not even stressing about it. I decided this year I'm going to enjoy the moments. So, one of the things I thought was pretty cool about these snacks was the texture. My hubby kept comparing it some sort of "astronaut" ice-cream he used to eat as a kid. It has a dry texture, but not like a cracker. And not like dehydrated food either, it's a texture I never had before in food! My boys are older, but it is nice to give to my toddler nephews who always make a mess when eating!! And they actually taste like fruit!! I'm not assaulted with sugar when you eat these.

My youngest son has informed me he will no longer be Trick or Treating :(! I wasn't ready for this, I thought I still had one more year. It is okay though because even though one door is closing another is opening. Instead of focusing on the sad, I'm going to focus on the fact we can start a new tradition! This year we are getting pizza, wings, buying candy and making pumpkin shaped cookies and having our selves a Halloween movie marathon! We are going to mix classics like Charlie Brown the Great Pumpkin with thrillers like Friday the 13th.

Great American Pure Flix has added another great film!

So this was a film my whole family liked! It had enough action to keep the boys interested and on the edge of their seats. I loved the message that with God we can overcome our past, that it doesn't define us. With him we can truly change, but I also loved the fact it shows God will use our past to better us to do his work.

My youngest son is in several sports and my oldest son is in a few school clubs. Normally they are on different nights, but every once in a while, they cross. Those nights are pretty hectic. I'm going to try and not panic as I type this, but.... both my boys are too old for Trick or Treat this year!!! I didn't even realize last year was the last time I would be going with my kids and now it's over :( I'm not going to fib, there was tears when I realized. Why do they grow up so fast? It is okay though instead of staying focused on the fact one chapter closed, I decided to open a new. Starting this year, we are going to have a Spooktacular movie/game night. With scary(ish) movies, snacks and a fun game of Clue! I feel like Clue is Halloween appropriate, it is a who-done-it murder mystery game.

Divine Influencer

When an entitled influencer loses everything, she must humbly trust God to understand what the meaning of true influence is. Desperate, she takes a job at a homeless shelter only so she has a place to lay her head and quickly realizes the joy and purpose that comes from serving others.

This movie has so many beautiful messages! I love that it reminds us about finding our true purpose and that even when we think our life is in shambles God is working everything for our good. He is teaching us and showing us our true purpose.

I love that the movie also remind us that God loves us all equal no matter who we are. We are all his beloved children. It reminds us what is really important and that we should be using our influence to serve others and not ourselves.

I personally was able to review episode 3. This episode was about being a Chain Breaker. We get to watch Eleanor as she hears the case of a young man named John. John's father and uncle have both gone to prison for many years and it seems he may be following that same path. Eleanor challenges John to be different, to break the cycle. As we know it can be scary to take the unknown path, but when God is calling for us to make that change and to be the difference, we should listen to His voice and following him.

I think my favorite part of this episode was when Eleanor said, "I understand but I have to do my job, I have to make sure I help you become the best version of you." Not going to lie as a mom this one hit home. As most parents know at times we have to be "the bad guy" the one who says no, or rebukes our kids when they do wrong. It isn't easy, no one likes when they are put into that position, but what Eleanor said is so true. She may be a judge on the show, but the lesson applies to everyday life as well.

This show is full of lessons like the one above. I can't wait to see the rest of the series!! I hope you will join me watching on Pure Flix!

This is a beautiful story of 2nd chances and forgiveness! I also think its a reminder for us to remember that sometimes we need to put others first. I love how the story unfolds and the characters were relatable. We have all been where Noah is, we all make mistakes, put our energy into the wrong things, make the wrong choices and resist any sort of advice.... Instead we see it as an attack.

It was heartwarming to see this family heal and grow.

So this past weekend I was putting my dirt into my new garden bed, and of course I got a bug bite on my leg. My boys are so ready for Easter break! I'm not going to fib I am too, I can't wait to sink my teeth into a peanut butter egg!!! Where we live though its normally rainy over spring break, but that's okay. We do our egg hunt with umbrellas, color eggs and make hot chocolate for our movie night. Pure Flix has done it again! I am always impressed with the movies and shows they offer, and A Thousand Tomorrows is no different!

One of my favorite things to do in the winter is hang out with my family. And it doesn't have to be something costly, honestly I love to snuggle with my kiddos under our electric blanket and watch movies most nights or even just play a relaxing game like Yahtzee. I just enjoy being with them.

So I will say this movie though it is family friendly wasn't a huge hit with my boys. They are teenagers and aren't really into romance, but, my hubby and I LOVED it!!!! I thought it delivered such a sweet message! It also had humor and wasn't over bearing, I hate to say it, but sometimes faith based films lose peoples interest because they are over bearing. I liked that this movie wasn't like that, I felt like I could related to the characters! I know valentines days is right around the corner and I so think this movie would be perfect for a stay-at-home date night! Or anytime after its release date of 2/1/2023

My youngest son is 12, he is at that age where he isn't a little kid anymore, but also not a teenager. He is getting out of the toy phase, but not 100%. He likes more collectable things now. And I'm not going to fib he still busts out the action figures every once in awhile. But honestly he wants things that he terms as "cool." A stuffed bear to him isn't cool. A stuffed Cartman from South Park is cool.

He is tough to shop for, luckily, he likes sports so I'm able to get him a lot of equipment he needs for upcoming seasons. And I also buy stuff to practice at home. But you can only buy someone so many gloves/bats/balls/soccer nets. When I discovered Kidrobot I was so excited! They are like the perfect go to shopping place for people who have kiddos that fall in-between that teen and kid phase. Well okay I'll be honest, there was several things on the site I wanted as well.
