Meet Jody Takagi the Porsche Racer Girl and Model

When racing is mixed with beauty, the result is Jody Takagi, an avid motorsports enthusiast and is been involved in the motorsports industry as a racer, model, consultant, and project manager and marketing specialist for motorsports from Seattle, WA. She is also the co-author of the book "Race to Win - Every Great Driver" with Alan Blair. She races a 2001 Porsche Boxster which she loves because of its versatility meeting all of her needs both on and off of the track. Ferrari to name the 458 Scuderia “Monte Carlo”

We recently reviewed the 2014 Lamborghini Gallardo and what is expected of it, well, similarly Ferrari will make a high performance version of the 458 italia. Ferrari has had a unique trend of releasing a more powerful version of most of their brands as seen in the F430 which became the 430 Scuderia and the 599 GTB Fiorano became the 599 GTO. Also, when Ferrari launches a new generation sports car on the market, we always expect at least three versions: a coupe, a spyder, and a Scuderia.

The 458 Italia is already nearing three years of age after It made its debut at the 2009 Frankfurt auto show and in the form of the 4.5-liter V-8 engine rated at 562HP at the 9,000 rpm redline, and 400 pound-feet of torque, 80 percent of which is available from 3,250 rpm the car has lived to its name so far so good. We already saw Ferrari introduce the Spider to the 458 range with a folding hardtop roof, and expected the Scuderia but Ferrari boss, Luca di Montezemolo, said that a 458 Scuderia would not be produced because the 458 Italia was just so advanced.

Recently, according to autoblog.nl, there will be a high performance version of the Ferrari 458 Italia’s and will be named the Monte Carlo. It will pack a stunning 620HP from the tweaked V8 engine. Most of the details on the 458 Italia Monte Carlo are limited for the now but expect to see it soon.

But that's the way it is with these supercars, at the Monterey Car Week anything goes down, the tickets to the event cost $450 and $2K on eBay this is just not a car event but a place where millionaires go to exchange money for exotic cars.

Away from the whining, wondering The Lamborghini Sesto Elemento is priced so high? It features the V10 engine from the Gallardo Superleggera, tuned to an output of 570bhp. It features a zero to 100km/h (62mph) sprint-time of just 2.5 seconds, that beats many in the "0-100" List including the Ultimate Aero, Aventador, Ariel Atom and the Ultima GTR.

Lamborghini Murcielago Matte Black - SR Auto

They say legends may die but their legacy is everlasting, despite the recent takeover by the Aventador, almost making the Murcie vanish like its predecessor the Diablo, there are still those who fight hard to ensure this does not happen at all. SR Auto is the name and this time they collaborated with fellow Canadian tuners Inspired Autosport to make this beastly looking Murcie.

The paint job and the wheel set are all custom, PUR 1NE monoblocks. What they made now gives a 631 hp naturally aspirated V12 batmobile, disguised as a Lamborghini Murcielago and it does naught to 60 mph acceleration in just 3.3 seconds. It’s power is transmitted to all fours through a AWD system and through a 6-speed manual/semi-automatic.

2013 Range Rover “4th Gen"

For those like me who thought the magnificent Range Rover Evoque was really small, no more of that, Land Rover has decided to retain the Evoque´s face but increase the size of the car, that seems like it, and what do we get, a modern piece of intellectual peace. It will debut in the 2012 Paris Auto Show tin September.

Inside, you will find either a 5ltr V8 which gives 375hp while or a supercharged version which gives 510hp, this will be he Range rover sports. A ZF 8 speed automatic transmission is available in all of them. Europe will also receive a V6 and a Diesel 6.

It was built on a lightweight, rivet-bonded aluminum chassis which reduced the car’s weight and hence fuel economic (33mpg on a combined cycle) To the Interior they put the same old charming touch that’s present in their previous models, a leather covered dash and a trapezoidal display screen. This SUV has rebooted an adaptive air suspension and Land Rover claim that its handling will inspire more driver confidence while still maintaining it as an off-road vehicle. Prices are estimated to be around $125,552 (KES 10,540,915)

Floyd has owned a Rolls Royce, Bentley, Mercedes Benz, Ferrari and Lamborghni making this very usual and the super car can do 0 to 60mph in 2.9s, with a 6.5-liter V12 and 700 horses. Floyd joins the list of Kobe, Batman, Ronaldo, Tamara Ecclestone Kanye n the controversial Matte white belonging to Missy Elliot.

Most Beautiful Car of the 80s

The thing about beauty with cars is that its not in the eyes of the beholder...its in everyone's eyes. There is a clear cut line between beautifully made cars and beautiful ladies...and the reasons are endless. I'm not here to talk about speed today, but the most beautiful car ever made in the 80s. I'm not disclosing it to you till the end so go on reading.

She was born in 1982 and only lived for 10years. If you know your history well, 80s had so much of design revorlution taking place in cars...slant nose 911, the Countach, F40, 81 Corvette, MX-5 miata all these were great looking cars, but there was this particular one broke the trend, not to imply previous cars were trash. The headlamp pockets for example had this dark shadow looked like a mature eagle just about to attack a female partner. Corvette Ferrari Lotus Honda had streamlined cars already but this one brought Streamline +Charisma. This car was like that kid who joins elders in a chess match, not to win but to change the rules of the game boldly enough to even end it no force used just the language.

Its considered to be the slowest of its predecessor and even successors but like i said, speed is out of the question you can also do your engine tricks like they do to it on the drag strips. Beauty without speed? Yes, similar to speed without beauty, how many cars out there combine these two? Pardon me, did u say Bugatti? No, actually the only car that has come close to that is none other than the 5th Gen Camaro.

And the death of my car in topic happened to be in August 27, 1992, but the legacy has proven to be everlasting. And now ladies and gents, the most beautiful car of the 80s, THE 3RD GEN CAMARO.

2013 Audi RS5

At last...the moment for all you sports sedan fans has arrived with the new 2013 Audi RS5. Audi debuted quite a number of cars at Frankfurt if you remember and this happens to be one of them. Chill out a little bit manual fans, it has a 7speed dual clutch auto-manual transmission. 450 bhp to four wheels, and 174 (limited) miles per hour from a naturally aspirated 4.2 liter V8. Stability control can be switched off completely if you love smoking rubber.

BLOX presented this year's Full Throttle Car Show in Montreal, Canada. For the first time in the history of car shows in north america, the vehicle that will took the best of show position was awarded with a superbowl sized championship ring as Full throttle's 2012 "king of kings"

Zuper Blahq is not to be left out when it comes to cars. Will has a wide range of talents from music to technology and to cars. And thats why, when a normal celebrity goes for a ferrari or a lamborghini... Will 1X knows there is a better...cheaper machine that makes a ferrari 458 look like a toddler! Yes...its the Mclaren MP4-12C...sheer performance engineered in a quiet factory by the British 3.8Ltr V8...twin turbo that could go from nought to 60 in just 3.1s. This car sought of has artificial intelligence in it you could actually brake an individual wheel round a corner! How smart!
Other Will's car include the controversial IamAuto self made car from his factory and besides people calling it a Delorean DMC, i think Will did a great job on the car...if you heard him speak from various interviews as Jay Leno and Topgear...he is just giving back to the ghetto which he came from. The car was impounded for lack of plates , registration and a VIN for the car.
He also has a Bentley and a Telsa Roadster. For those who love electric cars that look great..Tesla Motors are the leaders...the Silicon Valley based company also sells electric car components to car makers as Toyota. This Tesla will do 320km per charge and 0-60 in just 3.7s. Its twice better in energy efficiency than the Toyota Prius.

2013 SRT VIPER

Its back! After a whole year of suspense in 2011, Chrysler Group have brought back the Snake, with even more Venom added to it. 640 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque from a front/mid-mounted 8.4-liter V10 and the best power-to-weight ratio of any Viper ever built. Price? a whooping $137,000. This is the 5th generation.

It has an all-new carbon fiber roof, decklid, and door panels aluminum has helped give the car an impressive drag coefficient of 0.364. That's Impressive!

It has the most torque of any naturally aspirated engine and with a Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual transmission (final drive ratio 3.55) that's 50% improvement in torsional stiffness over previous one.

The Viper has enjoyed a successful racing heritage that began in 1996 with the first Dodge Viper racing entry, the original GTS-R, which earned five international GT championships and the 1997-1999 FIA GT championships. It also posted an amazing overall win at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona in 2000 - the first for a production-based American car.

The first of this street car from SRT is thus intended for the 2013 Viper's return to the American Le Mans Series in 2012, fielding a two-car team driven by Dominik Farnbacher, Marc Goossens, Ryan Hunter-Reay and Kuno Wittmer. For the gaming buddies, SRT has worked with the Forza Motorsport 4 crew to make sure the 2013 SRT Viper is available as DLC.

Away from motorsports, the snake also features a Vipers third logo, nicknamed "Stryker" while the wheels offered include a five-spoke, forged-aluminum "Rattler" wheel design. The GTS version adds a split six-spoke forged-aluminum "Venom" wheel design with three available finishes, including polished face with graphite-painted pockets (standard), fully painted Hyper Black, or fully painted low-gloss black.

The Viper's interior has also faced a new touch with seats from Sabelt the guys who also supply Ferrari with their seats and a seven-inch LCD screen directly in front of the driver, the seating position is 20 mm lower for more room and enhanced performance-driving ergonomics. Seat travel is extended by 90 mm overall, which enables expanded seating options from a more rearward positioned bulkhead. Chrysler's stellar 8.4-inch Uconnect Media Center and a Harmon Kardon sound system.

My favorite was these bi-xenon projector headlamps with white light-emitting diode (LED) daytime running lamps and LED turn signals a trend that is growing with most cars, daily driver and supercars.

The Viper has received a new exhaust system with cast aluminum with sill-mounted exhaust bezels but most impressive is the LED taillamps that integrate stop-and-turn illumination in one element.

These i cant choose any, its hard to take one and leave the other.

Concept Cars, our Future Cars

When True Lies debuted in 1994 most of the scenes were actually impossible but with time the possibility was a reality. Cars are not different from this cycle of evolution, most cars start as a concept then end up in production.

The Flying car. I tend to believe this would be so expensive, managing air traffic is even more cumbersome than road traffic, not to mention mid air collisions are more dangerous. Flying cars use the concept of Vertical Take Off and Landing which is also an expensive mechanism.

Then there is this Peugeot Ozone, it looks cool to me i'd like to believe in this one. Eco-friendly vehicle. The Ozone has semi-transparent glass and is a hydrogen fuelled cell that sits neatly in between two giant wheels. These are controlled by two seperate electric motors, which are operated by the fuel cells. The symmetrical metal body has a sliding door which rotates a full 360 degrees in its own frame.

Honda has this flying car too, a concept created for the 1000 pound car design challenge by the Los Angeles Auto Show, this one weighs 800pounds. Its inspiration come from skydiving and roller coasters, using compressed air to power its pneumatic regulator system.This system utilizes turbo vacuums and external air-flow to regenerate tank pressure for extended range and increased boost for an estimated 100 miles. All components are mounted directly to the chassis, eliminating unnecessary structures to keep the car lightweight. The exterior is made from vegetable based plastic wrapped around the body with an open-air style.

The Mag! A Magnetic Concept Car designed by Matúš Procháczka. Driven by an electric engine that generates a magnetic field, which propells the vehicle forward. The MAG was the winner of the ‘Unseen Technology Award’ at the Interior Motives Design Award 2007.

Then there is this one, which i have no words!

BMW has this Vision EfficientDynamics Hybrid Concept Car. The 4-seater is powered by a three cylinder turbo diesel with two electric motors, an output of 356 hp and 590 ft lbs of torque.

Then there is the Moville! This tear-shaped, single passenger vehicle was designed by Woo-Ram Lee from France for the 2008 Peugeot Design Contest. Built from the biodegradable plastic the MoVille car is regarded as a zero-emission drive train. it uses electromagnets in order to rotate the car’s three omnidirectional magnetic ball wheels. The sliding window is used as a door to enter/exit the vehicle whilst a second door is integrated and consists of photovoltaic solar cells where the car’s batteries can be recharged.

Lastly from my list is this BMW ZX-6. This amazing piece of work was designed by 3rd year students at the Instituto Europea di Design in Turin. In partnership with BMW, Jai Ho Yoo and Lukas Vanek designed it.

The Subaru Fest 2012 finally went down this Sat, bigger than the previous event and even juicier, with the biggest tuners in the countries, likes of Juiced, Unity Auto Garage and Monster bringing in their coolest rides. More Photos>>

I was late for the event after attending a Dark Knight Rises after party which was after the premier of the block buster here in Kenya, waking up was a problem, i arrived at the with festival my head feeling like a rumbling British coal train.

I went directly to the Subaru booth where they showed their new Impreza, Outback and XV

Call it the Impreza? Yeah, its a jacked up Impreza, Subaru has reintroduced the XV badge like they did to the Impreza in mid 2010. Comes in 3 variants but all are powered by the same third-generation four-cylinder 2.0-litre ‘FB’ horizontally opposed Boxer engine that manages 110kW (at 6200rpm) and 196Nm of torque (at 4200rpm)

The steering wheel is reach and height adjustable!

Yes i know...not your ordinary Impreza but Subaru has changed a lot in all its models...form interior to exterior... The familiar 2.5-liter flat-four is replaced with a smaller, 2.0-liter version of the Forester’s engine. They have a CVT transmission too replacing the older 4speed auto.

The 2012 Subaru Outback too...changed alot, the car appeared in Dark Knight Rises, Gordon was driving a blue one too. The Outback is available in the following trims: the base 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited, 3.6R, 3.6R Premium and 3.6R Limited.

Away from the new babies to the tuners, Sheikh Motors was my first encounter. He has 325hp from his white horse.

Then came the guys from Monster with their Forester with its loud dump valves...the guy whom people nick named DJ Khalid had all the reasons to be proud.

And there was Juiced.... if you were a big "mathree" fanatic, they tuned the NO.58 "Brain Child" and you can't talk about Juiced without talking about Unity Auto Garage...the garage that began in 1974 now the biggest tuner in the country.

They used almost KSH2,000,000 to turn this N8 into an N12...this killed the show when she turned up...

this CLS and the "Brain Child" with before and after pics is also their work.

And there were more, i'd say that the tuning scene in Kenya is growing day by day looking to a day when tuner shops will be massive.

This was one of my fav set of wheels, huge brembos on all fours.

If i had decided to show you the girls that were here...trust me thats a different story...i've never been around sexy ladies like that day, starting with the capital fm crew to the visitors...damn!

American tuner SR Auto Group has unveiled the new tuning package for 2012 Ferrari FF Vindicator is called Vindicator. This new kit was inspired by the Project Era which was based on the Ferrari 458 Italia.

The Ferrari FF Vindicator in a cool white finish and slapping on a new set of PUR wheels in a 1NE design. This setup may have worked for the 458 Italia, but that is another beast entirely.
Engine specifications the Ferrari FF Vindicator may have a 6,262 cc direct injection V12 engine that delivers 660 HP at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 503 lbs-ft 6,000 rpm, but its design is just a rolling pile of aluminum poop.

LOUDON, N.H. — Denny Hamlin dominated.
Then Kasey Kahne finished. After a critical miscue on pit road, Kahne
held off a furious late charge by Hamlin to win Sunday’s Lenox Industrial Tools 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. When David Reutimann’s No. 10 Chevolet
blew an engine on Lap 234 coming out of Turn 2, Hamlin, then the leader, pitted for a four-tire change. The problem? Everyone else, including Kahne, went with two.
“Your time to communicate and figure out what you’re going to do is really 45 seconds,” Hamlin said. “I said ‘Just give me tires, and no adjustments,’ and [crew chief Darian
Grub] took that as four tires.
“Nothing’s a given. Even though it was pretty obvious we had a win in the bag if we took two tires, you never know what could happen. Either way, we had a good day and we’re going to build on it.” Though Hamlin nearly roared his way back with a fresh set of tires, moving from 13th on the Lap 240 restart after the pit to the
ultimate runner-up spot, Kahne’s lead was too great, giving the No. 5 Chevrolet his second win of 2012. He led the last 66 laps of the race.
“We had a good pit strategy, got the track position,” Kahne said. “I was definitely focused on the lapped cars I was going by and how I could clear them quick. But I lost a ton of forward drive, I was getting pretty loose. I was paying attention to where he was, but I felt pretty good about the lead we
had.” In the No. 11 Toyota, Hamlin had taken advantage of an early penalty on Kyle Busch, who had led the first 66 laps from the pole position before entering the first cycle of green-flag pit stop too fast, and
subsequently got held up with a problem on his right rear tire change.
The speed limit in pit row was 45 miles per hour, down from the usual 55, though Busch competed in Saturday’s Nationwide race, where the reduced pit speed was in effect.
He fell back to 23d, and Hamlin overtook the lead with a pit more than nine seconds faster than Busch, and had built a 2.31- second lead over Busch until the miscommunication caused him to fall back by more than four seconds. Grubb had been away all weekend after his wife gave birth, but Hamlin shrugged off the idea that Grubb’s absence contributed to the
error. “That one little mistake will magnify it and take a win away from you,” Hamlin said. “We lost three points today. That’s about it. Even though we didn’t get the win and the
trophy, we just missed out on three points.” Kahne’s victory moved him into first in the Sprint Cup wild card standings for the final two positions. “I think we’ve been pretty tough all year, we just haven’t finished them off a lot of the times,” Kahne said. “From here out, we just need to stay after it. It doesn’t get us in the Chase yet, but it certainly helps.” Clint Bowyer came in third. Jeff Gordon inherited the lead on lap 88 after debris on Turn 3 brought out the first caution and Hamlin went into the pits, while
Gordon stayed on the track. He wound up pitting on lap 146 by himself and faded back a lap, and continued his frustrating season
with a 17th-place finish. Brad Keselowski, who won Saturday’s
Nationwide Series F.W. Webb 200, finished fifth, while runner-up Kevin Harvick, who created a mini-firestorm by calling out rookie driver Amber Cope following the race, came in eighth.
