After finishing with the frame, I moved to the wheels. I thought it was going to be easier here, more like a plug-and-play situation, but it wasn't. I needed to do a couple of things to make this work.

Firstly, I started by preparing the front wheel. As the original tires were literally destroyed, I bought a pair of Schwalbe Marathon and I added some anti-puncture tire liner as extra protection (although the Marathon already have some extra thickness dedicated to anti-puncture). I bought this latter from AliExpress, and it's pretty amazing, I've tried to pin trough it and I couldn't, so it looks promising.

Well, I'm riding the restored KTM Lucky Country since a year now, but I haven't had the time to finish this series of posts, but I wanted to share the rest of the process because the result was very satisfying.

So after removing all the paint, I proceeded to apply a couple of layers of primer (for metal). You can get such in spray doses.

Back in 2012 (wow, it's been almost 10 years already) I posted quickly some info about the 24BYJ01 stepper motor, mostly because this was not really the most common one in the internet and I thought it might be of some help to somebody.

In this time I did some projects at home with this motors and arduino, but I never added extra info about them, and I think (again) that some info here might be of some help.

After receiving the Chinese cassette/sprocket, the hub and the rear derailleur, I basically had everything what I needed for the bike. But I was not particularly happy with the color, so I decided to go deeply into this update and I re-painted the bike at home.

Upgrading Ubuntu Bash in Windows 10 from 14.04 to 16.04

I was trying to install OpenFOAM using the Ubuntu Bash in Windows 10 and I was struggling with the installation until I realized that I have not checked what Ubuntu version was installed in my Windows 10.

Of course, it was not the recommended one for OpenFOAM, the 16.04, it was the 14.04, and no matter what I did (lxrun /uninstall and then lxrun /uninstall) I was still getting the 14.04.

Then I've tried the sudo do-release-upgrade but I was getting a "screen is terminating" message and the upgrade aborted.

Hello everybody!

It's been a while that I do not post anything. My job is keeping me very busy and the kids are taking the rest of my time, so very few time for new projects.

However, I managed to join my hobbies with the interest of my older kid, and I ended up buying a Raspberry Pi for a second time. The first one I bought 3 or 4 years ago, was the first version I think, but I never found the time and a nice Linux Distro to dig into, so I ended up selling it again. This time I bought a Raspberry Pi 3, which ended up being a whole out of a computer!

I'm not going to write about the Raspberry Pi 3, you can find infinite blogs talking about it. I just wanted to share you the magical combo that I have found mixing the R-PI 3 and the very nice linux distro Kano OS (http://developers.kano.me/downloads/) based on Debian.

Gracias a la gente del grupo de Facebook de la Revista Lúpin (https://www.facebook.com/groups/32863048461/), pude conseguir este tesoro que es la colección completa de la revista Lúpin, los 499 números, mas todos los Suples anuales, los Suples Técnicos, las Tapas, y de yapa, todas las Pinlu.

El link de descarga del grupo de Facebook corresponde a un archivo ZIP con todas las revistas, lo que equivale a mas de 6 GB de revistuchas, así que lo que yo hice fue zippearlas de 50 en 50 para que sea mas fácil bajarlas, o por si acaso solo te faltan algunas, podás bajarte solo los paquetes con los números que te faltan, y no tengas que bajarte los 6 GB.

UPDATE 29/06/2016: I've checked the topic and the 4000€ promotion in Spain are coming from the "Plan PIVE", which is a program from the spanish government to incentivate the sell of "greener" cars. A part of those 4000€ are coming from the government, another part from the manufacturer.

I was playing the other day with the SEAT configurator for the new Seat Ateca in the austrian website of seat (www.seat.at) and I got curious to see how big could the price difference be in comparison to the same car, for instance, in Spain (www.seat.es), Germany or Italy.

Esto no es novedad alguna entre los "electrónicos", pero lo comparto igualmente para aquellos que no tengan tanto conocimiento de electrónica pero quieran animarse.

This project is no news for those of you more into the "electronics", but I share it anyway for those others that has not too much electronics practice and are looking for a challenge.

Lo que les traigo es un práctico regulador de tensión basado en el regulador LM317 para ser utilizado en multiples proyectos, pero yo lo he construido principalmente para poder intercalarlo entre baterías tipo Lipo de 2S, 3S o mas celdas y algún electrodoméstico que usa tensiones mas bajas (por ejemplo, una aspiradora de mano, que funcionaría con 3,7V, o sea, una lipo de 1 celda), o entre alguna fuente de mas de 18V y el cargador de Lipos IMAX B6 (que acepta hasta 18V en la entrada).
What I bring you here is a very useful voltage regulator based on the well know LM317 chip. I build this regultor with the intention of use it with Lipo batteries, so that I'm able to use big batteries with several cells with some tools or appliances normally driven by low voltage and not so life lasting NiMh batteries (like the hand-vacuum cleaners for instance). I used it as well to bring down the voltage of an adapter that I use for my IMAX B6 Lipo charger (which input voltage must be up to 18V).

Gracias a BOUWNT por el excelente tutorial. Yo había logrado toda la parte de la instalación del SSD por mi cuenta, pero no lograba que la S210 "viera" el SSD, y para eso fue crucial el comentario de cambiar en la BIOS a Legacy drive.

Este es el IKA Torino. Un auto argentino que vio la vida en la década del 60 basado en el Rambler American pero con carrocer¿ia de Pininfarina.
Mucho se puede encontrar en internet acerca del Torino. Pero si no eres argentino o no hablas castellano, seguramente nunca habrás oido hablar de él.
Así que con este pequeño tributo al Torino, mi invitación a que lo conoscas.
¿Por qué no soñar con un Torino siglo XXI traído a la vida por el mismísimo Horacio Pagani?

This is the I KA Torino. An argentinian car that came to life in the late 60s, based in the Rambler American but with the body shape from Pininfarina.
Plenty of information about the Torino can be found in the Internet, but if you are not from Argentina or you don't speak English, I bet that you've never heard from this car.

Hoy, 15 de Agosto (fiesta en muchos países de Europa) me llama una persona de la India que dice ser del servicio técnico de Microsoft, y me pregunta si tengo una PC on Windows 7 en casa.
Today, Aug 15th (holiday in several european countries), one guy from India calls me saying that he's a technician from Microsoft and ask me if I have a Windows 7 PC at home.

Luego de decirle que si, me informa de que están recibiendo muchos mensajes de error desde mi PC informandoles de que tiene muchos programas de malware, virus y demás porquerías.
After saying yes, he tells me that they are receiving several error messages sent from my PC to their servers, informing about viruses, malware and a lot of different garbage.

San Lorenzo de Almagro, campeón de la Copa Libertadores de América 2014

No suelo postear con fútbol mas allá de alguna nota sobre Bielsa que estaba mas referida a su persona que al fútbol en si mismo, pero esta situación es diferente.

Mi San Lorenzo querido ha conseguido por fin ganar la Copa Libertadores de América, y yo lo viví a 14000km del Nuevo Gasómetro, solo en casa mirando el partido a las 2 de la mañana... Pero que alegría!, se me caían las lágrimas de la felicidad...

Gracias a mi viejo que me hizo hincha y aunque no era muy futbolero recuerdo con mucho cariño esa tarde que compartimos un 3-3 en el Nuevo Gasómetro frente a Gimnasia, cuando todavía jugaba Leo Rodríguez y el diablo Montserrat. Mi viejo hoy no está para ver el día mas glorioso de San Lorenzo, pero seguro que desde arriba escuchó a todo el pueblo azulgrana gritar el gol de Ortigoza.

Gracias viejo, gracias Patón Bauza por esa tranquilidad y seguridad que le transmitiste al equipo, gracias a los jugadores que se comportaron siempre como señores y gracias a Tinelli por hacer desde siempre un San Lorenzo mas grande, mas profesional y mas conocido. Me imagino a Viggo Mortensen gritando el gol también como cada cuervo perdido por el mundo.

Será difícil que mi pibe pueda vivir a San Lorenzo como yo si no crece en Argentina, pero prometo hacer todo lo posible para transmitirle este amor incondicional.

Felicidades a todos los cuervos en el día mas glorioso de este club. El 13/08/2014 quedará grabado en la memoria de todos.

Are you tire of paying for the vacuum cleaner of the gas stations? Are you living in an apartment and you don't have a 220V connection close to your car? Then, you are needing a hand vacuum cleaner!

Pero si ya tenés una, sabrás que la batería de estas no suele durar mas de 3 o 4 minutos de aspiración continuada, antes de empezar a perder "chicha".. Incluso las mas caras, esas que vienen con baterías de Li-Ion, normalmente no te dan suficiente tiempo para poder aspirar a fondo el coche.
But if you already have (or had) one, you know that they have not more than 3 or 4 minutes of life before they start running out of juice... Even the expensive ones, with Li-Ion batteries, they are not giving enough time to cleane deeply a car.

Así que porqué no darle un poco de vida extra, justo esos minutos que te faltan normalmente?
