A quick trip to LA... and a thank you

Last week we took a quick day trip into the city. I have decided that we need to do a little more of this... I always love to travel to a big city and enjoy their restaurants and unique shopping but I don't usually do it so close to home. One of my fabric vendors had a new shipment so we made a plan to visit there and then have a long lunch, followed by a quick stop or two on Melrose.

The fabrics were amazing as always so after our shopping we headed for Gracias Madre for some lunch. I had seen the design featured here and there on instagram and pinterest so I thought why not check it out ourselves. The food was amazing and the design did not disappoint.

I love a good bathroom... this one was perfect.

We came across the Kelly Wearstler store after lunch and I was immediately smitten. It is worth a visit if you are in the area.

This is their bathroom... the faucet just put it over the top for me.

We visited LA yesterday for a little fabric shopping and a long lunch - so relaxing to spend some time with my girls.. I cannot wait to share all of the stops we made on our little day trip with you.

We recently finished up our project in Redondo Beach. This was a smaller house that was in serious need of a face lift. It had so many colors happening as well as some issues in the kitchen. So without making too many major changes we tried to unify the colors and soften everything up a bit.

In the kitchen we ended up removing all of the cabinets to clean up the layout and rework the location for the refrigerator and the oven, we wanted to open up the right hand side and add a small bar space.

We basically went crazy with white paint. Everything was painted one shade of white or another and it made all the difference in this space. To give us a little bit of contrast all of the interior doors were painted dark grey and given black hardware, which I loved and will be using again!

This Sunday we took a little time to visit the Long Beach Flea Market, let's just start out with - It was HOT. Aside from that we found some fabulous pieces. Gorgeous textiles were everywhere and some great Mid Century lighting and furnishings. We even managed to find some luxury goods.. as usual.

This hot pink little number had matching chairs that would form another love seat when put together. It was so fun!

I would have snatched this up if it wasn't a rocker- I loved it!

There were some great painted portraits..

The perfect sister/client rug - it is amazing. I cannot wait to show you a before and after on her house.

This was a fun vintage trunk that I almost snatched up but truly could not decide on.

It was nice as always to see the boys from Atelier de Campagne.
