I had a girls weekend a couple of weeks ago with a group of my crafty friends. I'm so blessed to have such a great group of friends. We all live spread out, so we don't get to see each other often. It's always a fabulous time spent together when we do get to hang out! Have a great day everyone!

Here is my completed layout for last week in my Carpe Diem. I am not ready to let go of summer! It's been in the high 90s here in Portland, which is pretty hot for the Pacific Northwest!

I love using bright colors and layering things together. I know it adds bulk to my planner, but I just can't help it. With me traveling home, Brent's family and Anna's mom in town, it's just been a busy week!

We took the kiddos to a new splash pad this weekend and did a lot of running back and forth between mine and Brent's parent's houses. It was great to see everyone though and let everyone have a turn with Boston. Well, I hope you all have a great day!

Sweet Stamp Shop's 5 Year Birthaversary and Planner Stamping: October 17 - 19, 2016 Burning Love

Hi everyone, just a little reminder that today is the last day to get this free digi from Sweet Stamp Shop with any purchase! All of the new stamp sets are available in the shop and there are still a few bundles left. You don't want to miss out!

For this special release, I created a planner page with Burning Love for Tami and Kypp's wedding this fall. I'm so excited for them and can't wait. In general I love weddings and all the girly things that come with them. :)

Tami picked purple and silver as their wedding colors. I wanted to use Little Black Dress from Basic Grey, so I used purple washi tape and ink to bring the color into this. Once I get everything squared away with the wedding invitations, I'll share what I made.

Though I've been to Vegas way too many times to count (mostly for work), Brent and I are excited for our first vacation together without Boston. We booked our flights and hotel, but haven't figured out what shows we'd like to see while we're there. We haven't been to Vegas together since Brent's 30th birthday, so I know Brent's pretty excited about going. I hope you all enjoy today and have a lovely weekend!

Planner Stamping: August 2016 Dashbord and Monthly

This month, I kept my dashboard pretty simple. As I'm doing more DT stuff, I am going to try to make more of an effort to post on here more often. I will admit, I like posting more on Instagram nowadays. It's just easier without all the typing, stories, links, etc. But it other ways, I miss having all of that in one place too. I kinda forgot how much time blogging can take sometimes, lol.

Honestly, I didn't get any of my goals done this month, but the hall closet did get emptied. It holds the door to the crawlspace and when we had the air conditioning people come, they needed to get down there. My hallway is lined up with our stuff and I've slowly been cleaning it up. We need to keep area clear for one more inspection, and then we can put everything back. Nothing is wrong with it, but Brent and I decided to extend our patio. We had it moved to the other side of the house, so it's been an ordeal. But once we get it all done, it'll definitely be worth it.

Here is my monthly layout for this month. Though my month is blue, I decided I wanted to use my Planner Society kit for this. I tend to like brighter colors, but I think it came together well.

After putting pictures in my last two monthly spreads, it was fun to go back to decorating this month. I think I'll continue to go back and forth depending on what's going on for the month. I'm really tempted to buy one of the new BIG planners for memory keeping. Well, I hope you all have a fabulous day!

Planner Stamping: July 25 - 31, 2016 Personal and Work - The Greeting Farm Loveable Anya

Since I went up to Seattle to see my friends, it only made sense for me to stay and work a few days. :) I was trying to minimize the amount of driving that I would have to do going back and forth. I skipped going to Corporate in June since I had planned my training trip to San Diego.

My closest MT friend quit and took a new job at Amazon. I did get to eat dinner with her on Monday night and catch up. I'm really happy for her, but obviously will miss her at work. On Friday, we had a play date with my friend Shannon and her kids. It was in the mid 90's, so we decided to stay indoors and go to the Children's Museum.

After having lunch and spending the afternoon with them, I dropped Bos off with my parents. I then went to the monthly Planner Party at Craft Warehouse, which is a local craft store here. I met my friends at Panera first and after eating a snack, we headed over.

Planner Stamping: July 18 - 24, 2016 Personal and Work - Rainbow

One of the Happy Planner Instagram challenges was ROYGBIV. So, I thought using stickers and sticky notes for this rainbow layout would be fun. It came together quite well and I love how it came out. I'll post an updated version of this layout later, as I'm going to be adding some memory planning stuff since I had a fun girls weekend in Seattle.

Shaela moved back to Eastern Washington. Aileen and Thanh are in Vancouver. I live in Portland. Seattle was the perfect middle point for all of us to meet and spend time together! Like many of us, we all met online and through out the years, our friendship has grown so much. This all started when I became a Close To My Heart consultant in 2005. I first met Peggy and I can't believe we've been friends for over a decade already! Actually, I still have a lot of CTMH friends that I've been friends with for a long time!! I am ever grateful for all of the awesome people I've met through CTMH.

Peggy wasn't able to join us, so we brought Flat Peggy. :) Most of you have gotten to know Flat Peggy over the years. She and yay signs have made us well known at CHA, lol. Don't know if that's a good or bad thing... :)

Planner Stamping: July 11 - 17, 2016 Personal and Work - Avery Elle Stay Fresh

I miss my crafty friends in Seattle so much! Sandy and Sheila make fun of me all the time because I've become a planner girl. They also don't understand why pineapples are the new craze! I know they would give me a hard time about this layout!

The little pineapples are from Sweet Stamp Shop and the big pineapple is from Avery Elle. Most of the stickers I buy fit the Erin Condren planner, so I just place things out of the box to make the complete layout even and all put together. I really like this color combo and will probably use it again.

This week we had Boston's 2-year well check. He is doing great...in 50% for weight and only 25% for height, lol. He's only grown an inch in the last 6 months. But I'm not worried...his time to sprout will come hopefully.

I also made jam with my cousins and SIL. It was our first time and we had a lot of fun. We made Raspberry, Black Berry, and Blue Berry. With our leftovers, we made Triple Berry and Back Street Berry "Black and Blue." We each left with 10 jars of jam each. :) Have a wonderful day!

Planner Stamping: July 3 - 10, 2016 Personal and Work - The Greeting Farm OA Ahoy

I wanted to do a red, white, and blue theme for 4th of July, so I covered my green numbers and header bars. I used the July sticker kit from The Organizing Companion and a retired stamp set from The Greeting Farm. I used gray numbers I had in my stash to re-date my days.

Our friends Cody and Kendall came down from Washington for the holiday weekend. Their son is born one day after Boston, so we like to get the boys together. :) We spent most of the day at Oaks Park and then later at our house.

I love nautical things in general, so I love how this layout came together. Boston also got invited to his first birthday party from one of the girls in his daycare class. It was a princess pool party. :) All around, it was a pretty fun and action-packed week. Have a great day everyone!

Planner Stamping: July 2016 Monthly Layout

I loved using pictures so much for Boston's birthday, I decided to use pictures to celebrate our anniversary. This July, Brent and I are celebrating 8 years of marriage and 15 years as a couple. I picked pictures from each of the last 8 years plus a wedding picture.

As you can see, we're silly! We're also matchy, matchy, lol. Over the years we've been fortunate to travel quite a bit and some of these pictures remind me of some of the great adventures we've had along the way. I think I will do this every July from now on.

2018 will be our 10 year anniversary and we're saving up to go to Tahiti. We decided to just go out to dinner this year and it was a good time. (The last picture of us is actually from that night.) We went to Noble Rot, which had a great view of the city. I don't think Brent was too nuts about the food, but I think it'd be a fun place to do happy hour!

Another thing I love about this planner is the dashboard layout. I felt like I decorated more of the old ones than actually used it. I kept with the green theme, so I just picked out random bits of stuff that would match and go together.

I also used this layout for one of the Happy Planner Instagram challenges. I'm getting ready to go back to school in January, so I've been slowly ordering all of my transcripts. Which has been a pain, but I do have to say it's nice that everything can be done online now. :) That was pretty much the only goal I got done, lol. Oh, well...

Planner Stamping: June 27 - July 3, 2016 Personal and Work - Lawn Fawn Flamingo Together

This is my first week in my NEW planner! I absolutely love this one, because the weekends aren't shaded. I wish the numbers on top weren't colored, but for now, I'm just coordinating my spreads to whatever color theme the month is. (If you watch the Mambi periscopes, you know that neutral planners are coming in the future!)

Green is my favorite color and since I got the new Lawn Fawn flamingo stamps, I thought this would be a fun theme. Brent's older brother's family had come down from Washington for Boston's birthday. Since they were still in town, we had a barbecue dinner at my inlaws. Boston also finished up his swimming lessons this week too.

On his actual birthday, he had swimming.

And I took him to get froyo!

Then on the weekend, celebrating Boston turning 2 and Michael turning 9!

It was a great celebration with family!

Next year we vowed to plan better, lol. But as a person who loves their birthday, it was fun to have a birthday week for Bos. He's still goofy as ever and starting to talk! I can't wait to see what this next year holds for us!

Planner Stamping: June 20 - 26, 2016 - Create A Smile Stamps Summer Kit

My twinsie Thanh told me she was setting her alarm for this summer kit from Create A Smile Stamps, because these bi-annual kits are super popular and sell out really quick. I'm not a morning person, though sometimes Boston makes me be one, lol. And oddly enough, Boston happen to wake up early that day. I was up...so I ordered one too.

Boston's birthday was on a Thursday this year, so we decided to celebrate early. Because my brother Michael's birthday was the week before, Brien and Myra were at the beach, and Brent has a non-traditional work schedule, it was really hard to plan around everything. We ended up celebrating with the Smiths one weekend and the Bliatouts another.

We didn't go to the beach, but since we had Boston's party at the park with the splash pad, I thought this would be a cute theme for my planner. The palm tree is on watercolor paper and with distress ink.

We were singing to him and he was clapping, lol. He really didn't understand what was going on, but it was a great time all around. I got a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory! Everything else was Bubble Guppy themed since that's his favorite and only show he will watch.

As you can see his smile, he loved his new car (beep, beep as he says)! We call him Bos for short, so of course that influenced which car we got him. It was a wonderful party and so happy to be celebrating with my little whippersnapper!

Planner Stamping: June 13 - 19, 2016 Personal and Work - Love Cynthia Mermaids

I absolutely love the monthly sticker kits from The Organizing Companion. This summer, she moved from Boise, ID to Austin, TX and her shop is still closed. :( I used the June kit for this layout and love this color combo! Coral with blues and teals.

I was supposed to be in San Diego for work this week, hence the mermaid theme, and taking a break from more boyish themes. My plans got changed the week before and I didn't want to rip it out and start over, so I just went with it.

Below is my work planner for this week too. I wanted to keep with the mermaid theme, so I used another mermaid kit. :)

Boston and I celebrated Father's Day with my family on Saturday. Brent was working, so he missed out on that. On Sunday, we went out for lunch with Brent's family. Brent's grandma was also in town that weekend, so it was wonderful to see her as well. Have a great day everyone!

Planner Stamping: June 6 - 12, 2016 Personal and Work - My Favorite Things Out of This World

When I switched over to my Copic markers, I pretty much gave away and got rid of any other coloring medium. I always regretted giving away my chalks, lol, and my water color pencils. I finally decided to get a full set of distress inks and markers for my birthday. I still need to play with them more, but I've really enjoyed them so far.

To make my space background, I blended 4 colors of distress ink together in various shades of blue and black. Then I used a distressed background stamp dipped in water to create the white splotches. I then used the same background stamp with black ink to add more texture.

During this week, my SIL Myra and I baked cake pops for my cousin Chris's graduation party. Some of my family from California was in town too, so it was great to spend time with them. Making cake pops has been a fun summer event for Myra and I. We're getting better and better every time!

Planner Stamping: June 2016 Monthly Layout

Normally I decorate my monthly spread, but since it was Boston's birthday month, I decided to do something a little different. I took pictures of him through out the month and glued them in. I absolutely loved how this turned out and I think I will do a few more like this in the future.

I was participating in the Happy Planner Instagram challenges during this time, so some of the challenges fell into putting this layout together. Since I've had my new planner for awhile, I was a little disappointed that Boston's birthday would fall into my old one. But it was a great way to finish up this planner!

There was no rhyme or reason to what pictures I took or chose. They were just real life and in the moment for whatever what was going on at the time. He is one very loved boy and I cross my fingers the terrible twos aren't that bad, lol.

I can't believe Boston is turning two at the end of this month! Since it's Bugaboo's birthday month, I decided I would make an effort to do a few more boyish layouts in my planner. I thought these cute monsters from Avery Elle would fit my theme well.

I seriously have enough Basic Grey paper to fill a store and last a lifetime, lol, but just knowing I can't buy more...I don't really use it anymore. But I did use some for this cute dashboard page.

With Father's Day and both Michael and Boston's birthdays, this will be a busy month! We're all so busy and it was hard to coordinate around everything, so we're having multiple birthday parties to accommodate all of the family. Though Boston still doesn't really know what's going on, I'm sure he'll love having a fun birthday week.

I was so bummed when I found out that Friday was National Donut Day! I had already decorated the week for Memorial Day, as we had our first barbecue and friends over at our new house. So, I made a mental note for next year, lol! The first week of June will be all donuts!!

I did go get donuts from Blue Star and got to try the new pina colada flavor they made for the national holiday, lol. It was crazy busy, but thankfully, I didn't have to wait in line too long. I went by myself while Bos was still in daycare just in case I was there too long for his patience. :)

Though I was bummed about the donuts, I do love how my little grilling Oliver and Amelia from the Greeting Farm came out! It was a great day of good food and good company. A short work week is always a bonus too!

Planner Stamping: May 16 - 22, 2016 Personal and Work - Sparkle Creations Cherry Blossom Rin

I've been fortunate to go to Washington, DC during the cherry blossom season. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes that kind of thing! I got this sticker set from Two Lil Bees and I knew Cherry Blossom Rin would be perfect for this.

I was running behind this week and didn't have time to stamp out to do lists. I just simplified and wrote out my list like I tend to do in my work planner. I actually like how it came out. I tend to stamp more in the planner, but I think I'll try to make an effort to write more in this one.

I went to my mom's group this weekend and exchanged our busy bags. This group has children all born the year of 2014, so it's nice to have kiddos close to Boston's age. I was also trying to get things finalized for our girls trip in Seattle this week. Well, hope you all have a great day!

This sticker set is a little bit more artsy, but I just loved it for some reason. I've had this beanie from the Greeting Farm since she came out years ago. Sadly, she's retired now, but you know I gotta keep my 'sparkle' stamps.

I thought she would be cute with blue hair and a matching green dress. I decided to go with a sparkle theme, and used a lot of sparkle sentiment stamps. I love how it all came together! This week was really busy for me.

I went up to Seattle for work and I surprised Sandy at her water coloring class. It was great to see her and of course I shopped while I was at Impress too!

This week I was also busy making magnetic farms for my mom's group busy bag exchange. Then the guys took me out for my belated Mother's Day brunch! Well, I hope you all have a fabulous day!

Planner Stamping: May 2 - 8, 2016 Personal and Work - The Greeting Farm Anya Nerds Out

I got this stamp from the Greeting Farm, because I thought she was cute. I originally wanted to do a Cinco de Mayo theme for this week, but I'm just too use to having a main image for my layout. Maybe I'll try again next year, lol. I did still add my little chip guy and salsa.

I tend to love bright colors and love this sticker set from Cricket Paper Co. With it being Mother's Day this week, we celebrated with my family on Saturday night. We went to eat dinner at a Japanese buffet. Then we had a bbq dinner at my inlaws on Sunday.

Planner Stamping: May 2016 Monthly

The Organizing Companion has free monthly printables available on her website, not her Etsy shop. I love how she makes them match her monthly kits. I personally like having white space in my planner, but if you don't, this is a great option for those to get more stickers that match.

I didn't get the April monthly kit from her, as I didn't find her until the May kit released. Katherine got me with the flamingos, lol. I decided to use her free printable from April for this layout. I also made this layout for the Happy Planner Instagram Challenge.

Though I don't tend to use purple much, I love how this came together. The green really pops out and I think gives it good contrast. I wanted to get the guest room ready, but to be honest, it's still not quite set up. It'll get there one of these days! Have a great day everyone!
