Running. My conversation with God - The Lone One who best understands and accepts my thoughts and actions - The Only One who knows who I am.

Running bequeaths me opportunities to have memorable conversations with our Lord – which are customarily unprecedented talks of gratitude and confession of my wickedness. As a result, running refreshes and endows me with vigor and tranquillity.

Since I’ve started running and figuring my goals – from running 5Ks to 42Ks - I have almost always leaned on God the Father to provide me just the right amount of stamina and mindset to finish my runs. Though only in Hongkong did I earned the prestigious DNF (did not finish) reputation because I succumbed to the temptation of bananas and chocolates hollered at us. Jeje. Mostly, am just determined to finished my races – with the speed of a tortoise but with definitive action and affirmation. And that, without not having to train my ass profusely.

Running has made me grounded to date. What I learned from running made me what I am today – secure, certain, unafraid. And I continue to do so, even so will I not be joining planned races anymore. Except should I need to for a best bud, or the route intrigues me.

For now, I’d rather do it on my own (as I have to improve on my health), and MY SOLE NEED to keep fit. Continuing the habit of offering to God the glory of finishing long distances, no matter how painful and indescribable. Continuing a lifelong rapport with My God.

I am not selfish.

I cannot be selfish. It is okay to choose what you persist to live with and who you covet to live it with. It is your life. You get to choose how to live it. No judgement on my part. No need to please. No account to justify. Whatever you decide to do, I will be, at this juncture, back you up. Do whatever makes you happy. Life is short.

Value family. Spend quality time. No less. Time is precious.

Respect yourself. Don’t compromise. You may be unpopular in doing so being the one who thinks and behaves differently from most, but at least you can keep your calm and sleep like an angel.

What comes around, goes around. Never forget that what you sow, you reap. Keep the circle calm, still, unruffled.

Be workable. Pliant. Flexible. Multi-tasking is a confidence-building skill.

Do not take things personally. Do not stress it out. The world does not revolve around you.

Work for someone else. We can only learn after we ascertain what it's like to be honed well.

Keep a grateful heart.

Whilst I do indulge periodically, I only do it when I need to. And I splurge with a conscious effort to be economical.

And most of the time, I knowingly avoid spending on unnecessary things. In which I experience definitive sense of pride for myself, jeje. Unto which I sense I am the fittest for survival should I become deficit.

Being frugal does not mean being cheap (and I intend not to go crossover the border). As being penny-wise should still emanate refinement. Thus, I do not scrimp.

A life so simple and yet more challenging at the same time. As I intend not to compromise quality and sensibility. Life thus become more rewarding because it is focused only on the necessities – their durability and novelty.

I would like to be able to save as much by living way below my means – to be able to quit whatever may be tying me up and possess the charisma to look for new options where I can generate positive vibes and be of benefit to others. I would want to be able to gain that confidence to allow me to afford making any decision without guilt.

Though being prudent is not just about saving money and spending less. It’s also about having the autonomy to follow our heart’s desires – or what is fundamentally important to us.

Use it up. Having had to buy it with a price means being creative to use it up with utmost care and utmost of its purpose.

Wear it out. Practice of things in full circle. When still functional, creativity becomes key to recycling and mix-and-match.

Make it do. Being content with what is available. Again, creativity is your best ally. Showcase the artist in you.

Do without. If it doesn’t slaughter, it is not a need.

Cook at home. It is a plenty. And there’s that satisfaction that chow is tasty and clean.

Free things. There is truth to the adage that the “best things in life are free.”
Again, again, be creative. Open your mind to the little, to the unusual, and not so ordinary.

Administering finances may never be painless and trouble-free. But with this approach or attitude, I am able and found my happiness.

DABAW 2013

Who would have thought? First the Upgrade. We booked a standard without the perks on Hotels.Com. But upon checking in, we got our first surprise of the day. Cabana it is on the 5F, with breakfasts @ Café Marco, free Wi-Fi, and cocktails on the 17F throughout our stay. Cocktails meant, free-flowing pika-pika, drinks and vodka (according to our butler, best-partnered with Schweppes Gin Tonic ;), to selected guests, such as US GIRLS.;)) Though as it is a rainy Friday night, post-cocktails, we still trekked our way to De Bonte Koe (owner is a Dutch) and Claude’s (owner is a French guy) amidst splashes of mud along the C. Bangoy street to J. Rizal. Good thing the Marco Polo Concierge were quick enough to lend us umbrellas for cover. To cut it short, we ate ably and amply. Intercontinental foodtrip best done locally. The cheesecake from Claude’s left us wordless.

Second day was a swig. We headed to Aldevinco Shopping Mall, just beside our hotel and found ourselves fashion gems. Meaning, dresses-of-a-kind to be utilized for beach wear, sleep wear, day/night –time wear altogether. I got me self a dress-to-go casually on a date.;)) We did nip a ride to Pearl Farm, but missed the boat. But did mingle and pose for pics with a genuine Tiboli weaver of dynamite drive and skill in finishing a masterpiece. Afterwhich we headed to Lola Abon, Apo ni Lola and downtown palengke to find our pummelos and candied-durian. Dinner was light as we gorge on our tuna from a ihawan strip along M. A. Roxas very near the hotel.

Last day has become more memorable as we hail to be the surviving dining guests at Café Marco for breakfast. Chikahan-to-the-max in our lingo carried out its significance as we tackle subjects one after another, not wanting the get-together to end. But had to.

Lastly but not the least, I just can’t help to mention though, to thank a dear royalty who remembered to share his blessings to us, just to top it all off --- a truly pleasant icing on the cake.;))

Juju Cleanse : Final Encounter

"Many thanks too Eugene! Do drink lots of water still, and take it easy as you introduce food into your system tomorrow." The final message I got from Ms Kat before the end of my last bottle of one my one-day Juju cleanse on December 1, 2012.

The drinks are numbered one to six, with unimaginable tastes, but because I need to be more healthier, I have to bear and be brave.;)) And I survived all six bottles.

After a conclusion on Bottle #1, I foremost expected to experience an excruciating bowel deliverance. But to my dismay, that didn't happen.;)) Simply because, that it is not how the cleanse works. You get to experience its after-effects only after the day of cleansing, and in my case, that is on the first Sunday of December weekend.

My eating is controlled in a healthy sense that I only eat in small sizable portions afterwards. Unlike before am consuming plates of rice in large quantity. I also observed that during the exercise and subsequent, I have hunger pangs, but then again, are being curbed.

It was a fearsome experience, and yet, I look forward to gulping down each content. I deserved that small system reboot of not having eaten in 24 hours, I love me.;))

My Affair with Juju Cleanse

I have read it once before on someone’s blog (goes how blogs do help in marketing and source of practical information) and but now am totally convinced of its principle. Am dying to lose the bulges and get myself do healthy stuff once more. And I thought of initially getting myself cleanse within. I googled on the website and browse of its benefits, and I’d say am going to do it. I e-mailed Juju Info and Ms. Kat informed me that they’ll be delivering my order in my sister’s place in Mandaluyong at no extra fee once I have confirmed my order. I just have to make sure of the cleanse date as the juice is pressed prior to intake.

Today, I have submitted my order and scheduled my cleansing. Let’s see what happens later, as I myself is so looking forward to the date.;))

Fontana Sojourn

It has taken quite a while since I have stayed in Fontana Leisure Parks in Clark, Pampanga for the long weekend. This time, it is due to my mother’s sixtieth birthday, and of immediate family members who happen to be August birthday pop figures, thereto. Herein, I give my reverence to a very dear friend, Ms. Vera, who made our stay during the weekend, notably significant.

Though as it may, this is not a give back token of appreciation, this article is just about the experience of this palpable weekend’s break in what is now considered a staple household brand in every celeb’s home. Fontana no longer needs further introduction. It has in its own developed a well regarded name in the tourism industry for being one of Clark’s destined park/facility for incalculable, quality time with family and friends. This is one of those few times I have experienced bona fide traffic within the zone. And it was caused by Fontana’s barrage of guests- and members- arrivals who look forward to a back-to-back long weekend of relaxation and convenience. Goes the saying, that, it is in effect more fun in the Philippines, particularly, in Clark.

Within Fontana, I surmised, bequeath me priceless memoirs with family members whom I have not spoken or spent time for an extended time. Given that the resort is very busy with its own themed of events, still, it bestowed a sense of tranquility in every one’s assigned temporary abode. Having a deluge of staff who are indeed very efficient at one’s beck-and-call, my nephew and niece felt ultimately safe as they call for transit to the water park on their own. Fairly, Fontana allies are prominently lucky to have made the investment.

Further, as I have witnessed, Fontana is not just intending to project a world-class functioning resort facility, it took in consideration the Filipino culture and spirituality with its hospitable and beautiful personnel, and holding of regular anticipated mass at the convention during Saturdays. Am not being upright, but being considerate with people’s belief in One God, is additional “pogi” points. Too, activities fees and charges are noticeably reasonable, especially for me with a classified capital, as an aftermath of an enjoyable party favor for my nanay. Indisputably, an admirable mix of royal fun and common sense.

Bilis tanggal. Fast relief. That’s ALL He is. This is not a commercial. For He is God.

I have been at times pasaway. Doing things unacceptable to the conventional eye and on my own free will. I get hurt too as much as I brushed things off after a while. I take things lightly. I no longer wallow on the bygones. I just move on. It comes naturally as I am an ally of repercussions of “never ever give ups”, “tried and bested bests” and “second chances.”

I just know it when there is really nothing more I can do. I heave a sigh.

I have my family and friends a few.

I find my peace. I draw closer. To God.

His Majesty, Christ the Risen Lord

Checking our itinerary enroute from Manaoag, my guy-cousin and I suggested making a side trip to the Monasterio de Tarlac to complement a seem-like pilgrimage. Many thanks to Ms. Leng from the Capitol and her clear-cut instructions, the journey to the 30-feet statue was light. Just don’t mind the errors on the kilometer-distances and lack of signage from the North.;p Anyhow, as we ride down the rollercoaster-winding road, we busied ourselves with snapshots of life along the countryside of San Jose, Tarlac in the obliterating hotness emanating from Mr. Summer Sun. Life is simple. What you see in pages of our elementary books depicting rural life came alive by what we have witnessed thru Tarlaqueños living by the roadside. We saw kids and their mommies bathe and wash their clothes in the river, rice grains being dried out on pavement, rice terraces, mountain ranges, mga bahay kubo kahit munti with accompanying halamang sari sari, people in huddles playing cards, dayami in their grandeur. A portrait so well straightforward. You wouldn’t think that, at the end of it all, is the impressive mountain of hope so-called Mt. Resurrection, as it holds still the mold of the 30-feet statue of the Risen Christ. It's like seeing Christ the Redeemer in Rio De Janeiro, en fait. My uncle the driver suddenly exclaimed upon seeing the mound with almighty enthusiasm (which is quite a very unusual reaction from him). AS we all have no idea on what to expect. All I know is, my family and friends from Opus Dei have told me worthy stories. And Now, I do mine. Shoe Fancy

I am guilty of amassing a collection – of shoes! Recently I have been in and out of tiangges, bazaars, on-sale malls, on-line stores – here, there, everywhere – for a quintessential pair. Mostly of flats. I dig the pavement as I am an exemplary commuter. I go as steadfastly as my shoe fancies me. I literally go for the sturdy and soft ones. The price may be up higher than the usual, as long as they serve their purpose well. Any way, I see to it that the times I used my twosomes commensurate the tag paid for them. Such that makes it guilt-free and justifiable.;))

My BFF. My Solace. My Serenity.

It took me time to write about my go-to-comfort-food-for-the-soul. When it comes to sanctity and/or The Father, I am speechless. Because I at all times believe I am unworthy of Him and His graces. This piece is not, to begin with, an act of righteousness on my part. But just a sharing of my one Go-To-Relief-in-the-Higher Power.

I am human. I have my weaknesses. I try any thing once. That’s it. But when I know it is critical of my moral diktat and still nonetheless I go for it, then that’s another story. I may take full responsibility but consciously feel the heaviness of having disappointed my God.

It is also that during women-cycle days, as I undergo the woes and barrenness of being femmie, that I seek comfort with the mysteries. Though I may not be as comtemplative, I sense the welcoming of the Blessed Virgin Mother dependably.

Such good sense that I took the habit of carrying the Almighty beads in my daily commute.

It is on such grounds too that I prefer to partake such preferential gift to kin and pals, time and again.

Hard @ Work, Weh!

Last Friday a. m., 03.23.12, @ Sitio Monicayo, Sacobia Sub-Zone, Clark

, patented my first GK experience. Which I would claim as a destined Friday for me, as I thought I would never get the chance to do the activity, seeing that I was not able to go with the first batch of volunteers.

As we waited for the coaster to arrive by our building to bring us to the Sitio, we were entertained by one of the project officers dressed as one Coldplay band member look-alike who seemed to look like more of a cold-hearted mason, ha-ha.;D But kidding aside, our trail to the site was a look-forward-to event for me as it is a ‘first-time.” As like any other preludes, I really have no idea how things go, as I totally place my full trust and confidence on the knowledge and skill of the person and/or company am with. On this particular occurrence, I placed complete credence on Marcial. The assigned persona to represent the state-run corporation, and oversee the initial twenty-two housing projects, mostly for Aeta familes, as told is an offshoot of the agreement between our corp. and Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation, Inc. designed for the improvement of the communities within the ClarkSEZ area.

As we alighted the bus, we readied ourselves by putting on our gloves. We were escorted by some barangay and GK representatives to where work awaited our arrival. We girls were handed out our brushes and cans each to start painting on the barandillas or pasamanos, while the boys headed straight to the other housing units to work on the cement and blocks. Paint did make splatters on our shoulders, palms & forefingers (yep! Even with the gloves), pants, shins and high knees.;D Initially still, our group worked in silence as we each focused on the slabs of metal. Once we have gotten used to the dispersion of coat, we started gooning with the rest of the guys present as Shutterbug Yasmin started bullying us and commanding us girls to work harder. Our allowed operational hours was over in two hours! Kind of bitin! Since there are more to smear and glaze.

Albeit Mister Golden Sun’s intense and passionate flames>> Mainet! (HOT! HOT! HOT@#%?! Cruel Mister.;p),… Albeit I got me self face burn as I forgot to put on SPF,… Albeit paint smothered my beloved H & M pants,… My first with GK is categorically a FUN-GK PHENOMENON.

Taken During a Secret Meeting

What is a better way to start the summer other than spending it in a club bar swayin’ and swingin’ the whole night long. We did just that. Last night on a Friday night with my Team Clark family (Precy, Noel, Atty. Jon, Rinna, Boss Red, Jonibert, Albert, Paw & Pot) @HighSociety, Walking Street, Fields Avenue, Angeles City. My first time to walk the street and sightsee. Much like Bangkok, it is indeed a busy strip come night time.

I had a vodka cranberry. Much to my delight, it tasted good. Comes with more free cherries. It had been a looong while since I did clubbing. The last one was @HardRockCafe in Glorietta. I am not much of a party animal. But every once-in-a-while is okay. Just like I would do and try any thing once. I had fun. Especially when it is not just entirely about goofing. It meant a lot to our Team Clark family to be one again as a team, doing lil bit of crazy stuff. That is after Hong Kong. It is not like we planned last Friday night’s rendezvous. It was just spur of the moment initiated by Noel’s dear gym buddies which turned into a little group get-together @Centro, Clark. Well, in all fairness, we do have the license to party harder. As we correlate it with Atty. Jon’s momentous achievement for the first quarter, as he has been heralded the Champion of the 2012 Bataan Death March (BDM) 102K Ultra Marathon Race and breaking the record at that. But let me talk more about Atty. Jon’s running in my follow up blog later. Instead, le me give Mr. Noel Hernandez his well-deserved space in this blog, too, as he is now one of the 160km BDM finishers in the recently concluded 2012/2nd Bataan Death March (BDM) 160K Ultra Marathon Race held on January 28 – 29, 2012. Noel is Number 4.

Be one with me as I take pride on my fellow Team Clark members in their quest for distinction in their respective passions. Simply, they are living examples of the adage, “walk-the-talk. They don’t let up.

I am not sure if this is worth a blog. But might as well. As I had an entire bonding day with bespren Bebs worth the eat. We have to have a grand finale of our day off. As my bff summoned my companionship to Divisoria to buy additional snippets for Marius’ seventh birthday. Who am I not to oblige? As this seldom happens. Well we trekked to the infamous so-called fried chicken monarchy in Nueva (now called E. T. Yuchengco Street) by dinner time. Only I, to be disenchanted. As my nanay cooks better fried chicken manok at home. You bet your bottom dollar!

Nevertheless, I called upon the help of a Wikipedia-walking friend to aid us find Sincerity, as follows:

If by car, right to Tomas Pin Pin (cos 1 way Nueva palabas lang). Right at Gandara, then right at Nueva. Sincerity will be on the left side.

Time Heals All Wounds

Yea. It is indeed true. With the help of Contractubex and Ultraseal's Triple Antibiotic Ointment (which my dad brought in from his trip to the

), my scars, scratches, and wounds healed in no time. It has just been four days and my bruises dried up. Wyda even offered to pull the dry skin out of me, but I unyieldingly exclaimed ‘No!’. I am staying by it by not peeling it off, and let it come off by itself, in its own sweet time.

I remember my last long distance run with Lucy the Wednesday (that was February 1, 2012) prior our weekend full marathon at the Standard Chartered event in Hong Kong. I was running in full speed at one of the darkest spots of the Air Force area in Clark (just right before the street light in the corner before the Commissary), when I fell down spat bruising my left cheek, leaving blood all over my cheekbone and brows. As I lay flat still, I saw two vehicles driving slowly to where am at trying to determine if they should help, only to decide not to (unto am thankfully relieved they did not). 'Cause at that time, am trying to hold my embarassment from my idea to safeguard my legs, shins and arms from the scratches about to befall me, thus, I chose my face to get scarred. Really crazy. He He. After minutes from my shame though, I tread to where Mt. Carmel Hospital is (which is only a few blocks away), and had emergency team do me first aid (pina-hospital ko sarili ko.;)) My second concern at the time then was La Greta Lucy. I just know she is looking for me. When I walked myself to the Parade Grounds after Mt. Carmel, I was lucky to see Boss Red and Miss Rinna about to ride their vehicle and asked me what happened. I said tearfully (inside), “nadapa po ako.” The gracious couple offered then to bring me to our office building where Lucy is bound to wait for me. And yes indeed, Ms. Lucy stood there waiting outside her parked car. She hurried up to me and saw my scars. She told me that she walked the few steps back to the Air Force area and asked the men stationed there if they saw a girl in dark running shirt and shorts donned in yellow running shoes, when it took for me to get to our meeting place at the corner of 7-11. The men in blue told her that I already passed by that area. I saw that I really frightened her as she was thinking to seek the help of our security department to find me. Good ‘old Lucy, I truly am blessed to have a friend like her. I would have done the same thing for her naman rin. That’s Team Clark. We don’t lose each other.

And now, after Hong Kong, my mother didn’t even realize that I have pockmarks. She just commented that I seemed to have this tiny little clear spot right near my eye. To which I replied, “Oh that, nothing to worry about.” ;D

Am fiercely and bravely loyal. Period. Either you still have my trust or may have recently lost it, I won’t speak a word of you with just any one. My business with you is my sweet, simple personal business. I’d rather not share the glory for any one to pry. I keep my silence. I keep my peace. I don’t need the noise. So, no worries. I’m healthy.

Regardless of hurt, betrayal, abandonment, I find myself not the type to hop on the dating scene, or love agendas concocted, as soon as I must just so to get a big ego boost for myself. Sorry, I am not one to crave attention. I just love, with no Ifs and Buts. And with no regrets. I have well-meaning friends. But I chose not to date to wait and take my time and be more of the person I am deserving of too. It is a decision of self-preservation. Contrary to others beliefs, No, time is not running out. I still have improvements of me, myself, and I to take care of.

I stay true to my relationships. Kahit sino pa lumapit na mas gwapo, mas matalino, mas mayaman, at ano pang mas mas, I stay unwavered. I know. I just know. I had been in the past. I have always been. I come from a poor family. I am happy. Believe me, it has a lot to do with it.

My sojourn in the

in May of last year, only proved that I am indeed capable. Though many thanks to my family and friends. I am able to do what I needed to do. God does Miracles.

It doesn’t feel right to be in a relationship “just because.” I don’t want to waste my time or any other person’s time as well. I wouldn’t want to keep the front act of being holy and perfect, ‘cause I am not. I have so many imperfections. I move on to become a lifetime loyal partner wannabe.

Our family enjoys food! Our quality time most likely metamorphoses into a chow activity. Being cold-blooded Capampangans, we are condescending lovers and cooks of pamangan (or food, in our lingua)! This time at The Crowne Plaza Manila, we feasted on eat-all-you-can dimsum, steamed, pan-fried, deep-fried, noodles, wantons, congee and dessert par excellence. It is that quaint place I have not set foot before but is enriched with fare found in Binondo.

Family + Food + Iced Brewed Tea + Relaxed Surroundings = Excitement! And when foiled with first class service from the staff with special mention to Harry, the experience is well worth a second, or even a third, or fourth come back to. In short, our first at the Xin Tian Di was an affair to remember (kindly refer to pictures on this page as swell proof of how we enjoyed the food trip). Genuinely, CHAAAYYYYNESE CUISINE IS ONE OF OUR FAMILY’S HAPPINESS.

OUR HUMBLE ABODE IN SAI YEUNG CHOI ST. S

My second time in HK gave me the chill. Literally. I was down with the flu for the first time this year. Our repertoire of events took the toll on me physically due to weariness, stress and sleeping at unimmaculate hours (I was up doing laundry until 3:30 am as the machine takes too long swirls ;). Kapagal (Too tiring). Sobra (Super). This is the only time I really felt too exhausted after a trip. Our first night in HK was spent roaming around the Mong Kok Sai Yeung Choi area, as we can’t find our apartment. Lucky for us that the local sales ladies assisted to call our host. When we finally got to our building, we had to take the full flight of stairs to the seventh floor as there is no lift. Good thing the unit compensated for the lack of it as it perceived to be spotless and complete with amenities > high-speed wi-fi, cable tv, and limitless phone calls. Plus we have our own kitchenette where the guys were able to cook Filipino caldereta and rice. The only decent meal we have had, except may be for Man Wa resto near our place where we had some take out. We tried McDonald’s, KFC, still nothing satisfied our taste buds, except for good ol’ Starbucks with its minty latte. Plus, Hong Kong is pricey. Their MTR to Central Station costs me HK$ 11.00, EVERY TIME! Though I got real deals from H & M at the Central, which happened only during the time Noel had to cure his motion sickness from our travel to the Peak. It’s like we took a trip to Baguio in less than two hours in hurried pace to sip our Starbucks orders and clicks. But then, we went out giggling and happy. We felt we were given our fair share of shopping. Just imagine nung ali pa (just imagine if were not). Am sure we will feel antagonistic and short changed, Ha Ha. Lucky for five of us however, we were able to take the short ferry trip to Macau, and see what new there else to be seen. Taking advantage of the free shuttle buses to Cotai strip, we hopped to Neverland. Macau to me, seemed to be still very much the same except for the new gaming establishments. The fare on any routes about the center is still three and twenty patacas. Subsequently, the food again, is remarkably expensive. Lunching on basmati rice and curry chicken costs me ninety patacas (translate that to peso will amount to around five hundred forty pesos), oh men, kamal, so expensive!

Oh, the marathon route? If routes could kill, this one will, with hard-pressed time limits for every turn around. I am one of the DNFs (Did Not Finished)-lame participants.((; No Worries. I am a certified full marathoner already.((; I basked my time. The Medical Team of the Standard Chartered (who captured me at twenty-five kilometers fairly consoled and/or bribed me with the chocolates, pears and bananas I could eat should I give in to the bus ride to the Finish) were all gently convincing and paternal. To which I swiftly said, “Oh, OK,” and boarded the bus. The freebies made it a one, worthy, and happy ride, any way. Laughably though that after five kilometers, I saw my very own bestie, adamantly refusing to board the other bus, vehemently pointing to her watch only to change her mind and succumbed to the organizer’s request. Apakayli nakung Bebang!;D One girl toughie!;D

But after all the skips and bounds, Team Clark once again made the journey filled with happy thoughts again.((; with new PRs (personal records) for the members and a fulfilling full marathon moment for La Greta. My Big, Fat Congratulations! Oh, that extends to the Clarkies.((; Many thanks for cheering me on!((;

It’s More Fun in Clark

PCG once averred, “Clark is a jewel,” when I asked him why he would choose Clark among other zona francas.

Now that claim has come up to in its ripened time, as taipans make a bee line to the freeport zone as the “it” in investment location (regardless of who sits in as the chief executive officer). January 24, 2012 marks the next big fixation in Clark as Cebu Pacific breaks ground its pilot school and aviation training facility, called the Philippine Academy for Aviation Training or PAAT. The event was supported by no less than the President of the Republic who behest an attitude of sanguinity that a. m. (hmmm, seemed maganda ang gising..;))

What caught my attention is the tremendous support of JG Summit’s patriarch to his son, which I regard as remarkably demonstrative. My first encounter with LYG (whom, I must admit, is indeed a certified tsinoy cutie.;)) left me admiring the undeniable humility of the chief executive to be wearing the talk with his people (enough to detour my frustration on CEB’s false promotional glitz). I guess he takes from his father’s attitude to not circumvent from the usual process even with his stature. The Chairman Emeritus stopped by the security group to be inspected next to our registration amidst clamor from a dap lady-guest who called him “Uncle John” not to, shrugging it off lightly saying, “It’s alright.” And to be forthright, I really didn’t know it was the Founder, until I saw him signed his name, with RLC’s James Go, on the form. Amazing that these distinguished people still do not forget their manners, inspite and despite of. Unlike some Palace personas who quite clearly make a distinction of themselves.

On a lighter tenor, this venture of Cebu Pacific and CAE, Inc. provides us (parents and godparents alike) and our dear little ones a choice and time to consider a vocation in aviation and making dreams come true. Such, learning is more fun in Clark.

What seemed to be a desirable day for me to consume a plain lunch of spaghetti and fried chicken turned out to be a horrific experience.

At past 10:30am, Happy Feet craved for the simple meal of spaghetti and fried chicken from McDonald’s, as I contend to like theirs better than the bee. That is why I stood up from my cubicle and approached budding artist Jumar of Designs and Concepts by Jomar Sadie and expressed intention of doing an online business with the McDonald’s company. But then, Jumar mentioned that he has this on-going online love affair with Jollibee thus, we decided, alright, let it be the bee. But then again, officemate Robin made his way to where we’re at vying for a Ronald’s double cheeseburger, prodding us to shift to having our orders taken by the enterprise.

Let me just voice that I am a fan. It has been my habit that every time I get to visit places overseas, I get to taste their version of McDonald’s and Starbucks (two of my comfort-food dealers;). Being in Cali in May this year, I had so much of its fun-tasting meals hence I fairly understand now why Americans so loved the stuff. ‘Coz beyond doubt, I fell in love too. As I have visited fast food chains, and none to beat McDonald’s for me. With special mention to their iced tea.((;

Hence, my recent stumble with our very own McDonald’s Royal Clark, did disturb me. I must say am a stingy person. The fortyish delivery charge for me is a big deal. But just the thought of satiating my yearning for a value meal with an additional order of large french fries is worth the wait. In consequence, we called Beth. She helpfully took our orders and we waited excitedly. Our lunch delivered, Jumar paid for it and found the fries wilted. We conveyed the observation to the delivery boy, by the way. Though as it may, we went our good separate ways to chow. Surprisingly, I did have a dose of a surprise, literally, with my take-out food. Kindly refer to uploaded photos. I’d rather not elaborate. Oh by the way, aside from my soggy fries, and the form of a plastic ingredient mixed in my yummy spaghetti, my fried chicken had no gravy sauce.:((

Pardon me for posting. It is not my intention to criticize without base. Just have a chat with our Sanitation.

I just want you guys to be watchful and mindful of your foodie orders before you delve. Yup, even with proclaimed, prestigious fast food chains.

Last Saturday, 03 December 2011, I was blessed with the opportunity to watch “it” live – the Smart Dream Cup 2011 with David Beckham at the Rizal Memorial Stadium (my muchos gracie to my “simpatico” sponsor ;)), - truly a “date-to-remember.”

As all spectators and participants are dazed with the magic of having legendary superstars play against our national team in Philippine soil. I saw him right infront of me, shirtless!!! Seeing David handing his jersey personally to Manny Pacquiao made it more of a humbling experience, as Beckham is a global icon himself. And made me really mystified as I forgot to press my phone’s record button while witnessing the act.

Really funny though to be cheering for the LA Galaxy every time they score a goal, amidst a major Filipino crowd. But I did come with Filipino Pride ingrained in me. Only, there is, No. 23 David Beckham.

An elite advertising brand and top fashion iconic athlete, Beckham’s talent in the sport of football is unquestionable. He is undeniably ‘good.’ The term being an understatement. I have witnessed myself the foot work and effortless grace unto which he played the game with his mates out at the stadium. He gave his hundred-percent performance with our PHL Azkals, who were like young kids eager to learn and experience world class football from Google's most searched of all sportsmen two-years consecutively.

A UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, Beckham pulled all manner of goodwill in response to underprivileged children by making a plea to fans/followers to spend thirty-three US dollars to purchase footballs for children around the world who cannot afford one, as his birthday wish this year.

Becks passion and enthusiasm made me realize that there is enough reason to look to stars who put it right and make sense to the world out there. Seeing him in the flesh made it indeed worthwhile.

I call him my Miracle Man. You only have to acquaint him with one to four details, and he could easily grasp whatever it is you want made. And I made use of the term “miracle” as my endeavor is in much need of immediate attention. I seldom meet individuals who indeed exhibit exceptional abilities and discernment of abstract. Joms is your “It” Man. His passion range from joining on-line contests to designing logos of superlative authenticity. At Tama sa Panlasa. Recently, we had him design our logo for Team Clark, and as shown below, my explanation of his extraordinary talents deemed futile unless one sees it in one’s own pleasure >

To note, the guy is still uncorrupted. He has not asked any favor or deal with us. As what an enterprising person normally does in exchange for his wisdom or expertise. Now, we’re in deep thought of an unequivocal incentive. .

Though I need not say more, I have confidence in this guy. No matter what.
