सीख गया हूँ

गिरकर संभलना सीख गया हूँ,
आगे बढ़ना सीख गया हूँ ।।

धुप छाव का खेल है जीवन,
कुछ शब्दों का मेल है जीवन,
कड़वा ज्यादा मीठा कम है,
बड़ा ही अद्भुत रेल है जीवन ,
जीवन के इस राग द्वेष में,
उगना ढलना सीख गया हूँ ।
गिरकर संभलना सीख गया हूँ,
आगे बढ़ना सीख गया हूँ ।।

बड़े लगन से बाग़ लगाना,
सींच सींच कर फूल उगाना,
फूलों का काँटा बन जाना,
हाथ चीर फिर दिल दुखलाना ,
फूल फूल में अंतर क्या है,
ये भी समझना सीख गया हूँ ।
गिरके संभलना सीख गया हूँ,
आगे बढ़ना सीख गया हूँ ।।

खुद के जख्म का मरहम बनना,
अपने दिल से बिछड़ के मिलना,
ठोकर खा खा कर फिर मैंने,
अंधेरों में चलना सीखा ,
आती जाती आंधी में अब,
बुझके जलना सीख गया हूँ ।

कविता,
बस कुछ शब्द नहीं हैं ये,
न ही कुछ वाक्यों का मेल ,
जो कोरे कागज पर स्याह से नजर आते हों ।
कविताओं के,
उन शब्दों से,
इंकलाब भी आया है ,
और शांति का प्रसार भी हुआ है ।
कविता में लिखे,
बोलों के गुनगुनाने पर,
प्रेम के फूलों की बरसात भी हुई है,
नीरस जीवन में रस की फुहार बनकर ।
कविता ने हमें सन्देश भी दिया है,
मानव बनकर रहने का,
मानव से मिलकर रहने का,
और अपने स्वाभिमान से समझौता ना करने का ।
कविता ,
कवि के मन में कभी अंगार बन कर,
कभी शीतल सी फुहार बनकर आती है,
और सबको जीवन का मोल बताती है ।
कविता,
शायद एक प्रकृति है,
जो जाने कब कौन सा रूप धर ले,

मेरी बगिया फिर उदास हो गयी

1) सूखती जा रही उस गुलाब की बेल पर,

उस सुबह मैंने हरियाली देखी,

ओस की बूंदों में लिपटी हुई पंखुरियां देखी,

और उन पंखुरियों के बीच अंकुरित हो रही एक नन्ही सी कलि ,

उस बेल की मुस्कराहट,

सहसा ही मेरे लबों को छू गयी,

और मैं ताकता रहा मोतियों में बिंधी,

उस प्यारी कोमल सुन्दर कृति को ,

ऐसे जैसे मंत्र मुग्ध था मैं,

प्रकृति के सौन्दर्य पर,

जो मेरे बगिये में,

उस गुलाब की बेल पर उतर आई थी ,

खुश थी वो नन्ही सी जान भी,

उस बगिये में खुद को पाकर,

छुपकर अपनी प्यारी मृग सी नयनो से,

निहार रही थी अपना जीवन स्थल ,

और शायद सोच रही थी,

अपना आने वाला कल,

जब वो इस बगिये में खुशियाँ फैलाएगी ,

सबके लबों पर मुस्कान बन छा जाएगी |

बेखबर थी वो,

उस नव हरित बेल की चिंताओं से ,

जो हर पल अपनी अन्य क्रितिओं की तरह,

इसे खोने के डर से कुढ़ रही थी मन ही मन |

धीरे धीरे नन्ही कलि,

अपनी पंखुरियों को यूँ फैलाने लगी जैसे,

उड़ जाना चाहती थी उसके ऊपर फैले अनंत आकाश में,

और सारी दुनिया में अपनी खुशबु फैलाना चाहती थी जैसे |

पर ये क्या,

उस बेल ने अपनी नन्ही के चारों तरफ,

कांटे ही कांटे फैला दिए थे,

पत्तों के झुरमुट में कैद लिया था उसे |

उसे दुनियां की नजरों से छुपाने के लिए,

टूटने और कुचले जाने की पीर से बचाने के लिए ,

सपने और सच्चाई में फरक क्या है,

उस कृति को अवगत कराने के लिए |

पर शायद,

कलि को ये रास ना आया,

हवाओं के जोर ने जब भी उसे झिंझोरा,

उसका तन उन काँटों ने जाने अनजाने ही बींध दिया |

बेचारी,

धीरे धीरे अपने आप में सिमटने लगी,

दुनिया से नहीं,

अपने ही सुरक्षाकवच से डरती हुई वो नन्ही कलि |

वक्त बीता पर उसके सपने नहीं लौटे,

ना ही फिर उसके लबों पर मुस्कान ही लौटी,

दुबकी हुयी सी वो कलि,

अश्रु बहाती पुरे बगिये को निहारती रही |

एक एक पंखुरी,

टूटती चली गयी,

और फिर उस नन्ही सी कलि ने,

दम तोड़ दिया |

पथराई सी बेल,

खुद को संभाल ना पायी,

हताश और निराश हो गयी,

मेरी बगिया फिर उदास हो गयी |

हिंदी और उर्दू,

हैं तो दोनों जुड़वाँ बहने,

रूप एक है रंग एक है,

दोनों संग तो फिर क्या कहने |

ख़ुशी एक तो दूजी सदमन,

दिल है एक तो दूजी धड़कन,

लफ्ज एक हैं नाम अलग है,

बस लिबास अलग हैं दोनों के तन |

पर कुछ लोग बड़े नासमझ,

कहते दोनों कहाँ एक है !

एक शाम है एक सुबह है,

एक फलक तो जमीं एक है |

दोनों के ही अलग भेष हैं,

एक राग है एक द्वेष है,

कैसे कहें के उनके मन में,

अपनापन अब कहाँ शेष है |

आखिर जो कहते फिरते ये,

हिंदी नहीं उर्दू जैसी,

ना ही हिंदी के वो अपने ,

ना वो उर्दू के ही सगे हैं.

वो एक नयी लफ्ज़ में ढलकर,

अपनों को दुत्कार रहे,

अपनी ओछी बातों से,

ममतामयी को हर वक्त ठगे हैं |

उनकी गर मैं कथा बताऊँ,

दोनों लफ्जों को वो रुलाएं,

श्रेष्ठ हूँ मैं कहकर वो अक्सर,

दोनों मन को ठेस पहुचायें ,

अश्रु पलक पर लिए बेहन दो,

एक दूजे को ताक रही है,

सोच रही है दोनों मन में,

दर्द तुम्हारा कैसे मिटाएँ |

हिंदी की व्यथा, उर्दू की जुबां,

सुन समझ सके गर लोग कभी,

तो पीर से व्याकुल अम्मा के ,

मन को सुकून आ जाएगा |

लौटेगी वही मुस्कान लबों पर,

लफ्जों का सम्मान बढेगा ,

हिंदी उर्दू एक एक विधा है,

हर पल इसका मान बढेगा ||

Dying Art Of Film Making

I have been a big fan of Hindi Films and I was proud of the way our film makers used their art of story telling to teach us and entertain us even when there were less resources and less developed technology. However, the days are gone when our film makers used to make classical films to be remembered for life time. Today they have every resource but still they chose otherwise. And every time most of them make a film they disappoint us more. The reason is they think of commerce than making a good film. They put a great star cast, some steamy scenes, bold characters, great locations and few heavy dialogues no matter if it’s hurting some emotions, assemble them and make a film out of it and they think they have made a great film. Well, most of such movies have neither a story nor a classical approach of film making. Please guys! Go get an admission in the first standard again to learn it. Yes, you may earn hefty amount from such film making but what you are giving back to the society? Who will remember you as a film maker? For how long you can continue this way? Well, such people have no time thinking this as they are busy boasting of their works. They think they can make people fool forever. However they forget that they are fooling themselves by this only. Only to regret in the end that they had a chance to make a mark, to make a difference and create something memorable.

The situation is even new film makers think in this way only. They too get inspired by such films and start making films which falls in such category only.

I feel pity for them as well for the bollywood films as they are continuously degrading the standards of film making, that they are continuously killing this art.

I just wish some day it will change and we will see some great art again on silver screen, some great stories, and some great performances which we can remember for long.

तन्हाई मेरे साथी

तन्हाइयों से क्या शिकवा करें, जख्म तो हैं मिले महफ़िलो से हमें । रास आये न हम मंजिलो को कभी, रास्तो से मोहब्बत मिली है हमें ।।

तुमको पाने की थी होड़ ऐसी लगी, जैसे सांसो से था वास्ता कुछ तेरा । मुड़ के देखा जो तब ये समझ आया की तुमको पाये न हम खुद को खोते गये ।।

राहतों का समंदर लगा जो कभी, उसकी चाहत में नदियों को छोड़ आये हम । पलकें भीगी रही दिल तड़पता रहा, प्यास भी न बुझी डूबते भी गए ।।

सोहबतों ने मेरी खूब टोका हमें, जा ठहर, सोच, मुड़, लौट आ अब भी तू । हम न सुन ही सके न समझ पाए हम, ना ही तेरे बने न ही घर के रहे ।।

अब तो मंज़र है ये खुद से भी दूर हूँ, खुद को भी इस तरह न मैं मंजूर हु । वक्त ऐसा है बस तन्हाइयां संग है, सारे सपने भी हमसे हैं रूठे हुए ।।

प्रॉब्लम

प्रॉब्लम क्या है ? और क्यों है इन जमाने के ठेकेदारों को । समझ नहीं आया आज तक । अरे भई तुम क्यों दूसरे के फट्टे में टांग अड़ा रहे हो । अजीब बात है, नहीं ? बात से ज्यादा तो उनके सवाल अजीब होते हैं । और आदतें तो कहने ही क्या ।
'दीवारों के भी कान होते हैं' वाली कहावत शायद ऐसे ही लोगों को ध्यान में रखकर बनायीं हुई है । क्योंकि इनके पास कई कान होते हैं और जहाँ मिला वो अपना एक कान दीवार से चिपका देते हैं । और तो और, इनके पास हवा से बात करने की भी प्रतिभा होती है । घटना हुई पटना में और भाई साब को ये हवाएँ सबसे पहले कानो में जाके गुनगुना देती हैं । इतना ही नहीं, इसके बाद यर भाई साब उनलोगो को भी घटनक्रम का हाल यूँ सुनाएंगे जिनके पास ये अमूल्य प्रतिभा नहीं है । और ऐसे सुनाएंगे जैसे घटनास्थल पर सबसे आगे वाली पंक्ति में खड़े थे ।
बड़े दुबले हो गए हो? क्या कहते हो, बहुत मोठे हो गए हो, जिम विम जाया करो । काम क्या करते हो ? कितना कमा लेते हो ? नहीं नहीं, इस से क्या होता है आजकल, कोई और नौकरी ढूंढ लो यार । इतने दिनों से यहॉ हो, नौकरी छोड़ दी क्या ? तरह तरह के सवाल तो यूँ करेंगे जैसे की आपकी और आपके विवाह की सबसे चिंता इन्हें ही है । लेकिन जब आप सच में किसी प्रॉब्लम में हो तब तो इन्हे आपका नाम तक याद रखना गवारा नहीं होता ।
आपका पता नहीं, किन्तु मुझे ऐसे लोग गाहे बगाहे ही मिल जाते हैं और खूब मिलते हैं । बाकि सब बातें तो चुपचाप बर्दास्त कर लेता हु लेकिन उनका एक सवाल और मेरा दिमाग भिन्ना जाता है के भई करते क्या हो । क्यों भई आप हमे अपना दामाद बनाओगे क्या ? गलती से एक बार मेरे मुह से निकल गया, मैं लिखता हु और उनका जवाब प्रत्याशित था किन्तु फिर भी मुझे बड़ा गुस्सा आया । 'वो तो ठीक है लेकिन एयर क्या करते हो' और तेरे जैसे नर्देश्वरों के सवालो के जवाब देता फिरता हु और क्या, कोई काम थोड़े न है हमे । हम भी नल्ले तुम भी नल्ले , यूँही सवाल जवाब करते रहेंगे और क्या । आखिर मुझे उनको याद दिलाना पड़ता है के वो किसी काम से जा रहे थे ।
आखिर मैं परेशान होकर जब इस पर विचार करने बैठ तो पता चला के इनकी प्रॉब्लम कुछ नहीं है । इनकी सबसे बड़ी प्रॉब्लम ही यही है के इनकी कोई प्रॉब्लम नहीं है और इस वजह से ये हर चीज में प्रॉब्लम निकालकर अपने इस प्रॉब्लम का सोलुशन निकालने में लगे रहते हैं ।
खैर, मुझे इनसे कोई शिकायत विकायत तो है नहीं । ये हमारा टैलेंट है और वो उनका । और हर तरह के टैलेंटेड आदमी का क़द्र करना हम बाखूबी जानते है ।

Women - The World

When we say ‘Women’, we just don’t say a word but a whole world. The world which creates you! The world which feeds you and grows you up! The world which saves you when in danger! The world which shows you the right path to walk upon! The world which showers all the love on to you! She takes up on various roles and still never does a mistake and never forgets any of the responsibility she has taken. No matter how bad situation she is in, still she doesn’t ever complain.

You remember the day when you and your mother went for shopping and you asked for a toy? Your mother said ‘No’ and you went sad. You didn’t shout like another kid. Just kept quite! And when you came home, your mother gave you the same toy which you wanted. Did you think how and why? No, as a kid we never think about such activities. We just enjoy, but today I would like to tell you that your mother returned the perfumed she needed badly to buy that toy, just to put a smile on your face. Can you do the same for your mother? No, we don’t have that big a heart! We are not the image of the god send on the earth to spread love and happiness. They are! Mothers are god, I believe! Not just a mother, but every woman is another form of god. Sometimes as a sister and sometimes as a daughter! And sometimes as a wife! She tries her best to protect you, to love you and to make you feel of your existence. She sacrifices for your happiness without even bothering about hers.

And in return what we do? Have you ever thought about this? No, you don’t have that much of a time to sit and think about your mother, your daughter, your wife and your sisters and the sacrifices they made just for you, just to see you happy. Hold a minute here! This is the time to ask you a simple question. Do you respect them actually? I know your instant answer would be ‘Of course, I do’. But wait! Do you mean this? If yes, then why you tease a girl on the road! Why do you cheat on your wife or slap her or shout at her sometimes? Why you leave your mother when she needs you the most? Why you don’t understand the emotion of your sister and your daughter?

I know you don’t have any answer actually, you have just excuses. You are right, what you are thinking right now about these questions is nothing but the excuses. Excuses your mind makes, like every time. However, when you ask your heart, you will feel it inside. You will feel what I wanted to make you feel, what is correct.

I just want us, to respect them and every other problem related to them will be over I believe. Just respect the world you live in, the world you need the most.

Like the poetry of God,
Which the world wants to hear,
Like a very old song,
Still melodious and refreshing.

I see and I try,
To touch it with my fingers,
To feel you,
To sing you.
But Ah!
My hands are shrinking,
Suddenly I am going deaf,
or, it has stopped blowing suddenly?

Love is when you talk to hours and still the conversation is not over. Love is when you sit silently together and still enjoy it. Love is when no matter how angry or sad you are, you feel better together. Its when you can't see the sad face of each other and try every possible way to make each other smile. Love is when no matter how much you quarrel but very next moment you talk it is solved. It is when cry for each other and smile for each other. It is when you quarrel for each other and you protect each other. You enjoy the nonsense talls sometimes and sometimes go serious without a reason. Love is when you look into each others eyes and suddelny forgets to talk. Love is when you feel happiest together and saddest when apart. Love is when you find each others name at the top when stuck in a problem. Love is when you anonymously walks to each other, exchange few words and gets back to your busy schedule. It is when you feel that you can spend your whole life with each other happily. Love is when you share every little thing with each other and feel happy after sharing it. Love is when you can't imagine a life without each other. Love is when no matter how imperfect you are you feel perfect together.
Love is not just a word and don't have a specific definition. It is just a feeling which cant be defined. There is not any reason for falling in love. You just fall. Some times you know it and sometimes you dont. Sometimes you think you are in love but you are not actually in love. And sometimes very opposit happens. You strongly think that you are not in love but actually the fact is you are in love and you don't know it. Its about the comfortness we share with each other. Its not about just talking dirty with each other. Its not about getting physical or kissing or hugging but its about the bond you share with each other. Even intimation doesn't have any meaning if you are not comfortable or not in love with each other.
Sometimes love can change you. Change for good only. It makes you stronger and the weaker at the same time. Love makes you strong enough to do anything for each other and weak enough to make you cry even on the thought of getting apart. Love is about walking together and supporting each other in any kind of situation. Love is about absorbing each and every drop of pain from each others life. Love is love and this is the only thing which completes you and your life. This is the only thing which keeps you actually alive. If you are with the one you love you can acheive anything. Even impossible seems possible when your love is holding your hand. Love gives you immense power to do anything for each other and protect each other.
Love never happens with a soul or a body. Love is the connection between two beautiful hearts. Love binds two people for life in which one can never even think of hurting other for any reason. In love only love is there. Nothing holds more priority than love when you are actually truely in love.
So fall in love and make your life beautiful. Understand what you feel and do accordiblngly. If you love someone, say it today coz you never know if you will see a next day! You never know you will get another chance! You never know you get another life!
Remember, very few people gets a second chance so make your first chance count. Love and live happily together forever.

ग़म का साथ

हर कोई दिल को तोड़ चला,
जब साया भी संग छोड़ चला,
तब हाथ पकड़ कर मेरा फिर,
जिसने चलना सिखलाया है ।
उस ग़म का साथ निभाना है,
जिस ग़म ने मुझे अपनाया है ।।

सूनी राहें,
खाली बाहें ।
सूखी नयनों की,
बरसातें ।।
टूटे सपने ,
छूटे अपने ।
रह गयी तो बस,
रूठी यादें ।।
उस याद को क्यूँ मैं याद करूँ,
बरसात में प्यासा क्यूँ तरसूं ,
बस यही सोच मैं जीता हूँ,
अब दर्द ही दर्द मैं पीता हूँ ।।
जिसने पथराई अखियों से,
नींदों को दूर भगाया है ।
उस ग़म का साथ निभाना है,
जिस ग़म ने मुझे अपनाया है ।।

दो कदम चला,
जिन राहों पर ।
वो राहें भी,
संग छोड़ गयीं ।।
जिस मंजिल की,
मुझे चाहत थी ।
वो भी मुझसे,
जब खेल गयी ।।
तो उन राहों पर क्यूँ पैर धरू ,
मंजिल की तरफ कैसे जाऊं,
बस तन्हाई में जीता हूँ,
अपने जख्मों को सीता हूँ ।।
जिसने मेरे क़दमों को फिर,
एक अलग ही राह दिखाया है ।
उस ग़म का साथ निभाना है,
जिस ग़म ने मुझे अपनाया है ।।

कुछ कांटे थे,
कुछ पत्थर थे ।
कुछ हाथी दांत से,
खंजर थे ।।
जिसको मैं फूल,
समझता था ।
वो तो बाणों से,
बदतर थे ।।
फिर क्यूँ अब चोट सहूँ दिल पर,
फिर क्यूँ न अड़ जाऊं जिद पर,
के अबकी लौट ना पाऊंगा,
के अब ना धोखा खाऊंगा ।।
जीवन भर साथ निभाने का,
जिसने विश्वास जताया है ।

The friends

Today is friendship day. Though, not everyone is here with me to celebrate the day together. But, wherever they are, I wish them a very happy friendship day. I promise them that I am always there for my friends. No matter how bad a situation I am stuck in, if they need me I will stand by their side to be a support.
   I have very few countable friends. But everyone is a gem. Not because they are my friends, but everyone of them is a very good human being.
There are times when we are together and we enjoy every moment of being together. We laugh and sometimes we get sad together. Sometimes we eat together and if any of us is not hungry, automatically we all starts feeling not to eat. Sometimes we get drunk together and do hukka (smoke) together. Even we cry together. Such special is our friendship.
   And if we are not together, we miss each other every moment. No matter how sad or happy we are, but we miss each other very much. Sometimes we run out of time and we stay out of touch for weeks. No phone calls and no meetings. But these things are not enough to affect our friendship. In fact, nothing can affect it. Our bond is so strong. And it will go stronger.
I won't mention your name here coz you know that who you are. Thank you very much for being a part of my life. For making me smile whenever I am sad and for getting sad with me sometime. You all are special people. I love you all. I miss you all. Be same always. Thanks.

Status symbol

He believed love. He valued relations. At least, as I knew him. As a friend and as space we shared from last five years. But today, as I am staring at him and he us walking away from me, he is looking like a stranger to me. I feel like, I don't even know a little bit of him.
He had a lot of people around him. Few good friends and a sweet, loving family. But the special place inside his heart was always vaccant. He wanted someone to fill that place in his life. He wanted someone who could understand him and care for him and love him. And I always believed that one day he would lead an endless relationship one day.
A true person he was, who knew the meaning of losing. And also he knew the meaning of waiting. Once when in school, he fell in love. But couldn't make his story as it was one sided and this ended before it started. Still, with the emotions he talked about that girl was enough for me to realize that he can never fake. He can never hurt a person.
This time when he got back to meet me after almost 6 months, he told me he is in a relationship. I was more than happy for him. Finally the space was filled. I congratulated him and asked many thing about the girl.
But, when I asked him about the future plans with his girlfriend, I was amazed with his response. I never expected this kind of reply from him. From any other guy I could have accepted it as I know how people think about a girl or a relationship today. But this was not just the other guy. He was the one who alway respected these things.
" Look yaar. I know it doesn't sound like me but really, she is just a status symbol for me in my college. She is a beautiful and good at academics too and a girlfriend like her ranks you on top among your friends. And I am enjoying this. One more year and I will walk my way. That's it."
His words were still echoing in my ears as he was waiting few steps away for me. He was looking at me and I was re- thinking my view about him. Does he really respect relations? Does he even respect a girl? And friendship? Everything seemed fake....!!
