&lt;span style="font-family: &amp;quot;Courier New&amp;quot;, Courier, monospace;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 13pt;"&gt;Na edição de 2012 do &lt;a href="http://misomusic.com/index.php/pt"&gt;Festival Música Viva&lt;/a&gt;, esta quinta-feira, 21 de setembro, na Sala de Ensaios do Centro Cultural de Belém, em estreia absoluta, apresentou-se o tio de &lt;strong&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.creativesourcesrec.com/artists/e_rodrigues.html"&gt;Ernesto Rodrigues&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; (ER), &lt;strong&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.timescraper.de/malfatti/index.html"&gt;Radu Malfatti&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; (RM) e &lt;strong&gt;&lt;a href="http://ricardoguerreiro.net/"&gt;Ricardo Guerreiro&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; (RG). Ao longo de cerca de três quartos de hora, o trio patenteou uma &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 13pt;"&gt;espantosa capacidade de criar e elevar a tensão, preservando a chama lenta, de baixa intensidade, reducionista mas calorosa. Assinalável, o modo como a música evoluiu a partir de um mínimo de atividade sonora, zonas cinzentas, silêncio espetral, pigmentos luminosos em suave justaposição. Mínimo, à superfície, porque mergulhado o ouvido nas profundezas do silêncio entre sons, descobriu-se uma energia subliminar latente nas camadas inferiores, um mundo insinuante de infinitas combinações, empoladas pela sucessão de amplos silêncios, tonalidades quentes das texturas do trombone (e tubos) de RM, detritos electrónicos e processamento sonoro de RG, e das práticas e procedimentos heterodoxos da viola de ER, longe dos sons e timbres tradicionais do instrumento – em torno de um núcleo essencial de subtileza, serenidade e contemplação. Um concerto para fruir em máxima concentração, tarefa que se revelou difícil para os não iniciados nas instâncias da improvisação electroacústica moderna (reducionismo e desenvolvimentos posteriores), já que parte do público não parava sossegada na cadeira (eléctrica!), qual bicho-carpinteiro irritante, entretido a fazer ranger o mobiliário e a sofrer de constipações impertinentes. Apesar dos ruídos parasitários "estranhos ao serviço", assistiu-se à construção em tempo real duma música de ínfimos detalhes ("coisas inconsideráveis", Rilke), que vale tanto pelo que "diz", reelaborando sobre texturas e materiais sonoros aditados e subtraídos, como pelo que "cala", entre deixas, intervalos, nuances e reverberações. O resultado foi a criação de um universo de complexas e inusitadas dinâmicas, capaz de transportar o espectador para longe, graças a um complexo de imagens sonoras desafiantes da audibilidade e, ao mesmo tempo, estimulantes da imaginação.

 No Anfiteatro ao Ar Livre, palco principal, iniciando a sequência, Sunny Murray, o primeiro baterista do freejazz e também primeiro companheiro de Cecil Taylor e Albert Ayler, renova a identidade no trio que cultiva há dez anos com acólitos ideais, os britânicos John Edwards e Tony Bevan. A nova geração do jazz britânico, evidenciando energia, consubstancia no quinteto Led Bib uma contagiante combinação de mundos musicais paralelos. No encontro de Misha Mengelberg e Evan Parker, em pessoalíssimo diálogo, a sua estatura de criadores de linguagem augura os melhores presságios. Matthew Shipp em novo trio atinge uma decisiva dimensão de criatividade em simbiose com Michael Bisio e Whit Dickey. Em mais uma fórmula de duo e noutro diálogo muito pessoal, Marilyn Crispell e Gerry Hemingway revelam profundas sensibilidades em poderosas e/ou delicadas conjunções. O sexteto de Chicago de Ingebrigt Håker Flaten em ponte norte-atlântica é uma forte expressão coletiva onde, num escol de músicos, brilham individualidades. 

No Teatro do Bairro, palco ideal para formações desalinhadas sucedem-se três concertos duplos: o recente grupo português de música improvisada Nuova Camerata onde se destacam Pedro Carneiro e Carlos Zíngaro, o britânico trioVD, exaltante na sua intenção sónica e o Trio Das Kapital em coligação com o universo combativo de Hanns Eisler. Em 2ª parte de cada concerto, três reputados e diferenciados turntablists exercem peculiares estéticas experimentais: o português Marcos Farrajota aka unDJMMMNNNRRRG, o francês eRikm e o japonês Takuro Mizita Lippit aka DJ Sniff.
 
No Auditório 3, quatro filmes documentais e uma conferência unificam o festival: Sunny’s Time Now de Antoine Prum, Soldier of the Road - Peter Brötzmann de Bernard Josse e Gérard Rouy, Inside Out in the Open de Alan Roth e City of the Winds de Gilles Corre. O crítico britânico Brian Morton, co-autor do Penguin Guide of Jazz na conferência Jazz criticism: an open verdict argumentará sobre o papel da crítica atual do jazz.

The material he creates is influenced by a formal education in media arts filtered through the juxtaposition of experiences at his day(night) job as a pilot.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After two full-length albums and the EP “blankscape”, lefolk releases his new work “&lt;strong&gt;weather to shore&lt;/strong&gt;“ on Resting Bell. Consisting of 13 tracks and a complete duration of one hour, “weather to shore“ is a wonderful microsonic sound adventure. The concept of “&lt;strong&gt;weather to shore&lt;/strong&gt;” was based off of stories of shipwrecks in the great lakes region, many of which occured in bad weather. The track titles are names of ships that sank in the various lakes. With that concept in mind you can basically feel the dense and crackling atmosphere on this release. Droning basements layering through the structures like a constant fog. Trickling glitchy sounds reminding me of hail showers. And little melody fractures peeking around like sunlight through a cloud cover after a heavy storm.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Nevertheless “&lt;strong&gt;weather to shore&lt;/strong&gt;” sounds to me like the perfect soundtrack for a lukewarm spring night. Not following a linear plot line, this experimental film is a bizarre combination of social commentary, blaxploitation, science fiction, and concert performance. The opening scene is set in an intergalactic forest, with Sun Ra introducing his plan to use music as salvation for the black community. Back on Earth, he wears a disguise as Sunny Ray, a piano player in a 1940s Chicago strip club who causes an explosion with his sounds. Switching to a scene in a desert, he plays a card game called "The End of the World," with the Overseer (Ray Johnson), who is dressed in white and drives a white Cadillac. Sun Ra pulls out a spaceship card and the Arkestra play the song "Calling Planet Earth" as their spaceship lands in Oakland, CA. Perpetually dressed in sparkling gold robes and headdresses, he sets out to save the black people from oppression. He visits a community center and sets up the Outer Space Employment Agency, occasionally switching back to the desert to continue his game with the Overseer. Rumores diziam que Logan havia partido desta para melhor. Foi em meados da década de 60 que o &lt;strong&gt;Giuseppi Logan Quartet&lt;/strong&gt; (Giuseppi Logan, Eddie Gomez, Don Pullen e Milford Graves) gravou dois álbuns importantes para a ESP-Disk. De então para cá, quatro décadas passadas, que seria feito do homem? Aí está, vivo e ao que parece em boa forma. Para o quinteto que agrupou em Setembro último, Logan chamou músicos de duas gerações diferentes: os contemporâneos dos quartetos originais, pianista &lt;strong&gt;Dave Burrell&lt;/strong&gt; e baterista &lt;strong&gt;Warren Smith&lt;/strong&gt;, o contrabaixista francês &lt;strong&gt;Francois Grillot&lt;/strong&gt;, que se junta ao trompetista e clarinetista &lt;strong&gt;Matt Lavelle&lt;/strong&gt;.
