Uso os meus ouvidos e um gravador para recolher sons variados e transformá-los em algo distinto através da sua combinação num percurso ambiental. ‘Uma Reflexão Circundada’ mapeia um território através de uma instalação onde uma estrutura é interpretativa, onde o som produzido pelo artista é passível de ser descoberto tal como os próprios sons da paisagem. A obra consiste em diversas peças, não processadas e compostas, que contêm tanto sons naturais como electrónicos, os quais são modelados em composições subtis num percurso pela aldeia de Nodar. Gravei sons comuns, como pássaros, abelhas ou cigarras e juntei-os de volta à natureza. Esta ‘música’ é ouvida através de altifalantes invisíveis dentro da paisagem, onde a atenção se dissolve entre o que é criado e colocado pelo artista e a própria paisagem sonora que já existe. Não estou interessado em expressar ideias na forma musical, mas mais na interacção com algo que já existe. Ao explorar a fusão entre os nossos sentidos, convido o público a parar por um momento, a escutar os sons e a pensar de onde provêm e qual o seu lugar no meio ambiente.”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Ben Owen&lt;/strong&gt; é um artista sonoro oriundo dos EUA. Formou-se em História da Arte e BFA Studio Art (escultura e impressão litográfica) pela Virginia Commonwealth University. O trabalho actual de Ben Owen inclui performances baseadas em partituras visuais, colaborações áudio e vídeo. Os seus estudos sonoros iniciaram-se com cassetes e “live radio” em paralelo com impressão litográfica e projecções de slides. Ben encontra semelhanças complementares entre os ciclos de tintura e de recepção da impressão em superfícies e as marcas sonoras amplificadas por microfones de contacto e por gravações de campo ambientais. Ele interessa-se pela relação entre os aspectos espaciais dos campos sonoros existentes, os ambientes sujeitos a intervenções e a projecção e reflexão da luz. &lt;a href="http://benowen.org/"&gt;http://benowen.org/&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;Marta Bernardes &amp;amp; Ignacio Martinez (Portugal / Espanha)&lt;br /&gt;“Fauna Fonética” (Ensaio Aberto): Performance Multidisciplinar&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;“Uma voz e um violino procuram-se, buscam no encontro possível os ecos de uma animalidade imanente. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;A voz humana e a voz animal , o seu encontro e desajuste, as particularidades da convivência destas no Povo de Nodar são o eixo organizador do projecto tanto ao nível da produção do material audio-visual-performático como no tratamento objectual dos dispositivos escultórico-sonoros inspirados na natureza local: nas suas formas, nos seus materiais. Há um espaço para a improvisação, para a presença e experiência do lugar, do instante. Tendo em conta que é de vozes que tratamos, a herança da poesia experimental, tanto visual como sonora - fonética é de maior importância já que é difícil esquecer aquilo que a voz humana sempre tem a ver com a escrita; aquilo que a voz a animal sempre tem que ver com o corpo e a sua secreta evidencia mortal de vitalidade, ou seja, de perenidade.”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Marta Bernardes&lt;/strong&gt; é uma artista portuguesa baseada em Espanha que trabalha nos domínios da performance e artes visuais e sonoras. Detém o Mestrado em Psicanálise e Filosofia da Cultura pela Faculdade de Filosofia de Madrid. Tem realizado diversos Workshops em Espanha, Portugal, Holanda e Bélgica e apresentado performances em várias galerias portuguesas. Ignacio Martinez é oriundo de Espanha e trabalha nos domínios da música e escultura. O certo é que o octeto &lt;strong&gt;Potlatch&lt;/strong&gt; se situa em “&lt;strong&gt;Live at Fábrica Braço de Prata&lt;/strong&gt;” (edição pela “netlabel” Insubordinations) entre o&lt;em&gt; free jazz&lt;/em&gt; e a &lt;em&gt;free music&lt;/em&gt;. Quando adivinhamos o legado de Ornette Coleman na sonoridade e na não-hierarquização dos papéis instrumentais, surgem sem aviso situações de total e abstracto desconstrucionismo, com parasitagens eléctricas (a guitarra de &lt;strong&gt;Guilherme Leal&lt;/strong&gt;) e electrónicas (os dispositivos de Nuno Lima), uma base percussiva de grande densidade, ora virada para a pulsação, ora para o desenvolvimento de texturas (a bateria de &lt;strong&gt;Luís Desirat&lt;/strong&gt; e os objectos de &lt;strong&gt;Monsieur Trinité&lt;/strong&gt;) e uma sólida, mesmo quando discreta e colocada ao serviço do conjunto, elaboração harmónica, garantida em permanência pelo piano (&lt;strong&gt;Filipe de Sousa&lt;/strong&gt;) e muito frequentemente pelo contrabaixo (&lt;strong&gt;Pedro Roxo&lt;/strong&gt;), não se limitando este, pois, a funções rítmicas. São duas abordagens distintas da improvisação que assim se conjugam, uma ligada à herança afro-americana, a outra de cunho europeu e menos codificada. À “boca de cena” estão os saxofones (&lt;strong&gt;Jorge Lampreia&lt;/strong&gt; no soprano, aqui ou ali dobrando em flauta, e &lt;strong&gt;José Lencastre&lt;/strong&gt; no alto), responsáveis maiores pelas conotações com o que se vai entendendo como jazz. It covers the distance of 1439 Km, of which 815 Km within the territory of Kazakhstan, where it's one of the largest rivers. Flows into the western part of the lake Balkhash - at its outfall the vast delta is formed with several permanent branches (Zhideli, Topar) and numerous small lakes and backwaters. Within this trio anything is possible. &lt;strong&gt;Joe Morris&lt;/strong&gt; is here featured on bass. &lt;strong&gt;Petr Cancura&lt;/strong&gt;, a remarkably gifted young musician (featured here on tenor and alto sax, and as recording engineer!), is a Czech Republic native who now resides in Brooklyn (by way of Ottawa, then Boston). Petr's name was new to us at AUM Fidelity when Joe first spoke of his great musical gifts, which are on gorgeous display here. Drummer &lt;strong&gt;Luther Gray&lt;/strong&gt; developed from kicking it in punk rock bands in Washington DC in the late 80s to being a jazz drummer of great finesse and technique in the modern day. He has been working with Joe Morris since 2002.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The warm and inviting glow of their first group recording together emphasizes a very modern swing with each member of the trio drawn toward melodic elucidation via joy of creation. Entre o exploratório e o meditativo, &lt;strong&gt;Abdul Moimême&lt;/strong&gt; tanto procura o inesperado como retoma vias anteriormente abertas, concepção que vai bem com os ambientes nocturnos que a instalação favorece e deles retira motivo e inspiração. Cada tema evidencia um desejo particular de espacialização e a tradução prática de uma ideia de composição instantânea, apoiada em texturas metálicas suspensas e em motivos de efémera construção. É manifesta a opção por um tipo de linguagem que favorece o risco e o desenho abstracto, com défice de dramaturgia e de ornamentação, servida por arranjos simples, nascidos do cruzamento de duas guitarras eléctricas, uma &lt;em&gt;Fender Stratocaster&lt;/em&gt; e outra de manufactura própria, e de um amplificador de válvulas vintage.
