Just wanted to share this message forwarded to me by a friend. This goes especially to the working class who are tired of managing their time for work, family, friends and even for themselves..

"Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. They are Work, Family, Health, Friends and Spirit and you're keeping all of these in the air.

You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four Balls - Family, Health, Friends and Spirit - are made of glass. If you drop one of these; they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand and strive for it."

Work efficiently during office hours and leave on time. Give the required time to your family, friends, and have proper rest.

Value has a value only if its value is valued.

It is so ironic that just after the release of the new Apple iPhone 4S yesterday, one of its iconic figure died today. Steve Jobs was the former CEO of Apple, got the world by surprise when he announced his resignation last Aug. 24, 2011. In his resignation letter he wrote, "I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple's CEO, I would be the first to let you know,".He died today at the age of 56, after years of battling pancreatic cancer.

He was known to be the mastermind behind Apple's iPhone, iPad, iPod, iMac and iTunes. In the website of Apple features a tribute to him with the picture shown above and a text that says "Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple."

The Apple iPhone 4S, still same look though with Apple iPhone 4 but it has a lot of new features like a Dual Core A5 chip which will surely make a difference when you are browsing the web and for the gamers out there they will surely enjoy the faster graphics. It has also an 8MP camera, a 1080p HD video, it has also features like an AirPlay which lets you wirelessly stream what's on your iPhone to your HDTV via Apple TV, an AirPrint which lets you print emails, documents or photos from iPhone to any WiFi printer with no drivers to install and no cable to connect. This is comparable to last year's "Ondoy", but some says that this is worse than the latter. A lot of families were affected, displacing them from their own houses, cancelled flights from here and there, streets covered with flood, destruction of properties as such as the picture shown above. This is now the famous Baywalk along Roxas Blvd. This used to be a picture of nice concrete road with bricks that let's you enjoy a free leisurely walk along the coastal area of Manila Bay, but now it is such an unpleasant sight and which also now leads to become a problem of the government on how they will recover this area.

Nurse in Superb Scrubs

Personally I am amazed by the work of a nurse because they always have shifting work schedules and you should really have the patience and courage to deal with different patients.

I am not really sure why does the nurse wear a scrubs, but for me I kind of liked it. I remember there was a time when it became popular and I see a lot of people wearing a scrubs top, although I don't they are really a nurse or they just like wearing it.

By the way, I came upon a manufacturer of these uniform in the internet that sells cheap scrubs and yet with highest standards of quality and they also has a large variety of colors to choose from. They have sizes for men, women and even for children. They have different styles as well, from simple to urban and you can have it custom made too. They also offers free shipping for certain orders and also gives certain discounts. I know about this because I have a cousin who is a personal nurse just ordered and she already got it just in time, and I am just happy for her.

Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition

I'm excited to watch the final episode of the The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition, on Oct. 08, 2011. They are now already down to Top 5, and I can say that all of them are really looking good. They've spent a grueling 4 months in the training camp to shed off those unwanted fats. Looking back at their first weigh in photos, I could hardly believe what they have become now. But it's real, all their hardships and sacrifices are now paid off. Even their host, Ms. Sharon Cuneta, admitted to have lost some pounds too. They are such an inspiration. For me all of them deserve to be winners, but then again there is only one who is going the very first Pinoy Biggest Loser. I want to congratulate them all and wish them good luck.

Tomas Hayahay

It's quite popular here now in Davao and you can frequently hear this phrase among the people here. It's being popularized by a radio statio here called 90.7 Love Radio. They have a segment for Tomas giving jokes and it's really funny. He delivers his line with such conviction. He is just a kid, well just from the tone of his voice, but I can say he's quite effective. He really got talent.

Show me the money!

It looks really different from the previous bills. It looks like a money from other currency of other countries. I went on collecting the new bills everytime I got one because it really looks nice, still so crisp and I have a plan that those new bills that I collected, I'm going to use it for the Holidays. For my godchildren, so that when I give it to them they will be excited too..I hope! lol!..However, I found out from the news that some people don't like to use it. Some establishments don't accept it. For the simple reason that they are not used to it that they might make a mistake in when they use it. I thought, how come? How will they get used it if they will not start using it.

Anyway, I also heard from the national news that the old Philippine Peso bills will be of no value after 2014. So better get disposed of your old bills and replace them with the new ones.

Just a thought about Life

It is the Miracle by Lancôme and it has been my favourite for a long time now. I am hooked to the scent of this perfume. It is very light, very feminine and yet very modern and sophisticated. I am confident when I am wearing this perfume because it doesn’t come on very strong which a lot of people don’t like. I already gave birth to a beautiful and healthy baby girl two months ago. I overcame my fear of what it’s like to give birth. I had a wonderful experience and I must say that it wasn’t that really frightening at all. Thanks to my Ob-Gyne because she was so good in handling me during my labor and delivery of the baby, for assuring that everything will be alright, and most especially to God for answering my prayers to keep me & my baby safe.

Waiting Will Be Over Soon

It’s already the month of February and anytime soon I will be a mom. I have mixed emotions, a feeling excitement of what is it really going to be like to be a mom and at the same time a feeling of nervousness since I have no experienced at all on giving births. As much as possible, I will try to deliver my baby in a normal way. Some says, it’s really going to be painful but being a mom, and the chance that I will be able to bring a Life in this world is incomparable.

Important Things To Do

It's a list of things that are simple but often neglected to do. So for this year, I thought why not follow these steps. It might change our life to be more meaningful. So read on..

1. Take a 10-30 minutes walk every day. And while you walk, smile.
2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
3. Sleep for 7 hours.
4. Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.
5. Play more games.
6. Read more books than you did in 2008.
7. Make time to practice meditation, yoga, and prayer. They provide us with daily fuel for our busy lives.
8. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6.
9. Dream more while you are awake.
10. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
11. Drink plenty of water.
12. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
13. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip.
14. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner with his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
15. Don't have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
16. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
17. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.
18. Smile and laugh more.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.
20. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
21. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
22. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
23. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about. Don't compare your partner with others.
24. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
25. Forgive everyone for everything.
26. What other people think of you is none of your business.
27. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
28. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will.. Stay in touch.
29. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
30. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
31. The best is yet to come.
32. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
33. Do the right thing!
34. Call your family often.
35. Your inner most is always happy. So be happy.
36. Each day give something good to others.
37. Don't over do. Keep your limits.

Busy Sked

Usually I don’t work on this day of the week because primarily we don’t have work on Saturdays in the first place. I just came here because I have a lot of things to do. I want to finish my reports before I take my leave of absence because I’m scheduled to give birth soon. My boss gave us a deadline of our Financial Statements to be finished audited by February 15 and aside from that we also have a lot of other tax deadlines. I can’t imagine how busy I’ll be for the next few days. To top it all, I don’t’ know who’s going to take my post temporarily while I’m on my maternity leave because I should have turn-over my work by now to whomever-this-person may be. Oh my gosh, I just hope that I would be able to cope up with the situation.

Cross-Stitching

I have quite a number of cross-stitches which I personally made displayed at our house. I also gave some of them as a gift; at least it is something with a personal touch. At our house, I had them framed so they would look nice and I just simply adore looking at them, it gives me a sense of accomplishment although they’re just simple and easy to make. But, mind you it also takes a lot of patience in order to finished one. When I will have the time, I will try to start cross-stitching again as an addition to my collections.

New Year's Resolution

It’s like a natural instinct that when a New Year starts you want to start anew for yourself also, it maybe a bad habit that you want to change or a project that you want to start with. Whatever it is, the big challenge is always how will you going to cope with it, because I’m pretty sure it will only be easy during the beginning of the process and it sometimes you get to loose on track.
Well, as for me. I will not promise, but I will really try to improve myself and change the bad habit of procrastinating especially now that I have new responsibilities as a wife and a mother. I hope that I will be able to have a good start everyday and end the day with a smile on my face that I was able to get things done.

Car Seats for Babies

However, there are various types of car seats to choose from that is available in the market today. For added convenience, especially for busy moms like me, we can just browse in the internet for there are certain websites that features these products. Isn’t it great? At least before actual purchasing we can already have an idea on what to buy.
The different types of car seats are according to the suitability that best fits for your baby. Sizes and weight of the baby is considered as well as the functionality of the certain type of car seat. It also has features that can help protect your baby further from any harm during inside the vehicle and makes it comfortable for the baby and as well as giving a feeling of at ease for mom and dad that their baby is safe and comfy.

Happy New Year

It’s nice to be back after a long vacation from work. Although, I just stayed most of the time at our house, nevertheless it was an enjoyable and worthy time spent with families and friends. I had a lot of time spent in relaxation and of course one of my favourite pastime – watching DVD’s. I was able to watch a lot of movies; I had a DVD marathon to be exact! (lol) I also enjoyed our walking during early morning with my husband; it is my way of preparation as they say I have to exercise so I won’t have difficulty during my labor which is the due date will be next month already. Anyway, vacation is over and I need to get back to my daily work and activities. Hope this year would bring a lot of blessings to my family and as well as for all of us to continue to have a good health. May God bless us...

Driving 101

I have tried many times before though, but I cannot say that I’m already competent and confident enough to drive just by myself without any instructions given to me. Skills in driving can be considered an advantage these days because some jobs require applicants who know how to drive and personally it’s a necessity because I might have a car soon. (LOL) My husband by the way is the one who patiently teaches me how to drive. He says that, I can already drive; it’s just that I still lack concentration or focused towards my driving because I always forget his instructions and I still get nervous. He says that I should relax and focused on the road and be aware of the road signs. Well, I guess I still need more practice. After all, practice makes perfect right? I’m sure next year I’ll be better. By the way, I already have a driver’s license and I got a Professional one. Well, what can you say about that?

Changes in Priorities

Being a young professional with no attachments and big responsibilities in life was indeed such a pleasurable experienced. Now that I am married, things have changed. There are realizations in various aspects especially in prioritizing the essentials in life over the whims which mostly just brings a temporary feeling of happiness. One example, is just recently when my husband and I already got our 13th mo. Pay and Bonuses, instead of spending it on shopping and outings we just spent it on renovating our house, particularly our room in preparation for our coming baby. We did not think of ourselves first. I guess it is also a part of growing up to be mature and having a sense or responsibility.

Plans for 09

Most of us were a bit anxious of what will be the status of the economy for next year because this will have an effect on our company since we are into real estate. We are experiencing right now delays in payments from lessees thus affecting our cash flows and our budget for the company’s seems not been able to met. They say that their contingency plan is to look for other opportunity rather than wait for something uncertain to happen. But as for me, I can’t really decide right now. I have other more important things to focus myself into. I’m just hopeful and positive that things will turn out right and I hope that the coming year will be fruitful and full of blessings.

Christmas Party Presentations

It is a time of the year that employees can get to show the other side of them, like a talent perhaps in singing, if there’s any, that is! (lol) Well, presentations usually come in groups and they usually dance. It can be a contest or just merely a showcase of talents and for the spirit of fun as well. In our company, it is like an SOP that if you are a newcomer you’re really required to participate and since I’m still new in my company right now I must join. But, I still feel lucky because I have an excuse not to participate because I’m pregnant. So, I can’t dance. That’s why I just volunteered in helping my group mates in whatever way I can like being in-charge of the props that they will need and give suggestions as far as their performance is concern. So far, I’m having fun and I enjoyed watching them dance because they really try their best effort to dance gracefully. (Some employees are not naturally born dancers, you know.) Well, I just hope that my group gets to win the first place on our Christmas party presentation because there’s so much effort put into it. Good luck!

Thanks Doc!

I got worried a bit about my sickness because I’m pregnant and I’m not supposed to get sick. So, I immediately set an appointment with my OB-Gynaecologist to check up on me and ask for a medicine that is safe to take, especially for my baby. So, she gave me a paracetamol and Vitamin C to boost up my immune system. True enough, because in just a matter of hours I feel somehow relieved and felt better. She just said that I need to get a lot of rest also and drink lots of water.
