Osharecon 2016~!!!

Hey all! So, it's been forever, but I'd really like to do at least a little update on last March's Osharecon~!!! Somehow I slacked at everything during Osharecon, I didn't take enough pictures and I spent a lot of time in the dealerroom minding the Princess Apparel stand so it's really going to be mostly that... Stay tuned at least for the outfit shots at the end! (and a little rant in the middle ._.)

This was my view from the PA stand! The dealerroom was super cute full of cute stuff~!! It was never super crowded but sometimes the floor got clogged with lolitas ;) that's cute

For the occasion Rox pulled out a huge stand resulting in lots of PA goodness :D So it was no pain standing behind the PA stand at all :) I was kind of chilling while Rox and Do were working their asses off :o

During the day, beside minding the stand, I walked in the gyaru fashionshow, I did two lectures and I entered the MoguMogu gameshow, where I ate a lot of...really not very nice things :/ and I didn't win either so well that was just that~

I wasn't that involved with Osharecon this year. I'm not as pro-active as the other girls are and I am kind of pre-occupied with my own life, by myself.

Rox and Do decided this was the last Osharecon they would do. And considering the work and stress they got from this, I can totally understand that. Only few people realize what kind of work goes into these events, not only Osharecon but gyaru meets and parties too, and it's painful sometimes to see people only consuming and complaining, when I know my friend is working hard and taking risks.

If I have any advice to give, or request to make it's this: please be thankful for the eventplanners in your local gyaru or j-fashion community. There are usually only a few people taking the lead in events, even if they 'only' decide a date, a place and make a reservation for a larger group, this can be stressful for them. Having to follow up on you, whether your portion will be paid for etc etc. Please always appreciate that person in your area that takes the initiative. I am not saying this for myself because I've rarely been more than a helpful friend, but I can see how unfair it is and after 10+ years in this community I've seen people become increasingly spoiled and bratty.

Sorry for the semi-rant and the Yoda english. Let's do outfits.

Shibuya Party last februari in Rotterdam

Ok so yep, I shoved this post aside to announce HYPER's end as a circle and then I left you hanging forever ^^;; That's not nice.

This post is mostly pictures because it's a little lost in memory but it's nice to catch a glimpse of the ambiance and I can show you my outfit I was relatively pleased with!!

Shibuya Party took place in Rotterdam in February~ Shibuya Party was Rox' baby and I think we all had a nice night! At first the HYPER members came to help decorate the place like so:

Although the party was open to all lovers of Japanese fashion, the gyaru were definitely the largest group. Rox even brought some themed cocktails to the table!!

The venue was small but fits relatively many people so we could do with more visitors next time, but overall it was a nice crowd :D

The party consisted of a sujimori demonstration, GGA awardshow, Parapara performances and a Parapara game, followed by karaoke and Neodash Zerox our favourite DJ :D

I had a cool night with cool people, I really hope we can repeat this and more people can come! Everyone looked super stylish and the mood was so up! And I love when parties are nearly all girls because it's so much more relaxed~

Soooo, my look for the day, I kind of don't plan my looks ahead anymore lately so it's always a surprise to me what I come up with ^^;;

The end of HYPER gal circle, a new start after 7 years

Hey all, I have a few posts stacked for you but I’m shoving it aside for…quite an announcement.

After 7 lovely years, HYPER is calling it quits.
HYPER is the gyaru circle that grew out of a group of friends that were interested in gyaru style, in 2009. We started as young and motivated gals meeting up with our circle members or creating meetings for the community. In the earlier years we teamed up with Shebooya to organize two international meets in Amsterdam. We have seen different faces in the community, different faces in the circle, around a steady core.
In recent years the circle was more invested in creating larger events, or well, helping Rox and Do in organizing larger events, but we would meet up as a circle less and if we did we wouldn’t necessarily put effort into our style. Many of our members have grown out of gyaru, we are all in our mid 20’s and have different priorities, and we can’t always devote to the style nor the lifestyle anymore. And although HYPER has recruited in several stages, we never made up a hierarchy of generations and we didn’t renew ourselves to eventually hand over HYPER to the next generation, so we knew from the start that HYPER would end after we graduate from gyaru ourselves.

As you can see we often coordinated colors or style, it was really fun hanging out with the circle!
God I will miss these girls, I really hope we'll still meet up often!

Our life as circle members is over but we still love being involved with events and for that reason, in the line of HYPER gyaru circle we are moving on as an event team! This way we can keep organizing events, without stressing the gyaru element and the devotion that is linked with being a circle. We might not move on with the same members and this will not be so much about social ties and personal style but rather about catering to the dutch j-fashion community.

A looks for the new year and two adorable Newyears sale gets!!

Hey all :) First of all, the best of wishes for the new year~
I actually wanted to do two looks in the next outfit post but I was just never pleased with myself and kept wearing comfy stuff.. But today is the 31st so if I want to wish you a happy new year, this is really the last day I can do it~

I went for something cozy yet fresh, with light pink and white~ I guess it's not very...figure flattering but I kind of pulled it off :P

I didn't go to last year's reception and actually I don't think I came to the yachtclub a lot in 2015 so I saw a lot of people I hadn't seen in a while and I got lots of sweet compliments!!

Sooo this year started well, I did something really exciting actually I got my first Rady item ever!!!! It's a marble set-up with shorts, I got it from the 30% sale because last time I waited for the 50% sale the set I had my eye on was sold out before 50% sale :/ and this time I got lucky too because in the 50% sale I actually couldn't find my set anymore so :3

This summer I am planning to visit Japan and I want to get much more stuff from Rady! Maybe more room stuff especially as it just feels so nice to surround yourself with nice things after work~! Plus I can be more sure I'll use it than clothes~

So, although it was an online purchase they gave me a shopping bag with it and I just think that is so cute!! Wow I got a real Rady shopping bag, I was fangirling so bad at home~

I am really supposed to stop shopping now but my last purchase of the month was this lovely rose print Victoria's Secret bag!!

I love this print and I like this more than my current hot pink bag! My only concern is next summer will be all light pink bags and I will feel 2015 :/ But I will try not to care~!!

Also idk about the prices at Victoria's Secret, in here we only have 2 stores and they mostly do accessories and some panties but they don't do much lingerie and clothes. But I feel they charge outrageous prices for the accessories tbh..is that normal or did they top up the price because their stores here are relatively exclusive? I got this bag against 70% discount so it's all cool but the starting price was €88,- someone tell me whether this is normal? Because I do not think this is worth €88 and they are a big company they don't need to overcharge.. well ok I don't mean to rant so~

These are the items togeter! I think the colors go so well together but the prints would be a little too much, so I don't think I would coordinate them together but~

Soooo I hope the rest of the year will be me wearing all the cute and underutilized stuff I have and purchased recently! While saving up and minding my health a little more than I did in recent months :)

Of course if I manage to do that I hope to show you many more coords!!

A festive and cozy december - 2 white x pink looks!

This year is almost ending and it's been a while since my last post. Let me show you a few holiday looks and party impressions before the season is over!!

(Enjoy my christmas selfies, I just couldn't pick)

In this post I'm sharing my looks for Rox' candy themed birthday and my niece's 6th birthday. On christmas itself I didn't actually wear gyaru but there were so many occasions to put effort, I had to at least wear gyaru once this month! As you can see I like cozy and fluffy and I LIVE in this white cropped turtleneck, also check out last year's christmas post, do you see the resemblance?

So let's not linger, here is nr 1, Rox' birthday on which she made a cute post here. The theme is candy and I went with chocolate!

To stay in theme, the nails were bonbon inspired and I did my make-up with the Makeup Revolution - I love makeup, I heart chocolate palette, which is a dupe of Too Faced chocolate bar.

Rox went all out decorating her home candy style~! She even had a candy floss machine! And she prepared pudding shots and jelly shots, it really was candy land~

This next look was my look for my niece's birthday, I have a niece and a cousin having birthdays consecutively on boxing day and the 27th. Like last year, I wanted to do classy (again) and be the classy aunt (in this case) but I think the bob and the fluffy coat help! I feel like I upped my classiness compared to last year!

I am not really good at nail art but that ring finger was an attempt at roses ^^;; it looks more like pink streaks and spots~ I guess, I shouldn't try to get too creative~

Also check out my christmas decorations! I decorated one guirlande in my usual pink, green and orange (as you can see on the selfies above) but the one over my bed is all pink and white with a touch of gold, inspired by trends in oneegyaru style in the last 2 years :D

It's too bad I can't really show you the details, it just doesn't show up but I have several shoes, a purse, a mirror and more in there!

Promoting Osharecon at Nishicon!! (well...mostly outfits)

Hiya! so the Osharecon promotion train is rolling on. This weekend we visited Nishicon with the Osharecon booth!! To be fair today's post is a lot more outfit related than promotion/con related but I guess there is a place for this too so, yeah let's just move on!

For Nishicon we had a bigger table than the one at MGC, and we met a lot more people we know so the mood was pretty up :)

Rox had prepared these awesome signs to take photos with! Like I mentioned in the previous post during the upcoming edition of Osharecon we want to see you representing your favourite disctrict in Tokyo! We had some people take cute pictures with the signs so please check out Osharecon on FB to see cute maids repping Akihabara and a bunch of cool gyaru repping Shibuya etc etc~

The theme for Nishicon was heroes and villains! So for day 1 I prepared a casual Maleficent inspired look! I put a lot lot lot of effort into my make-up but I ended up not looking like Maleficent, at most I look a bit older :/
But I got to poke around with my wonky horns and I liked having a more mature and sexy look for a change :)

I was wearing these leather look pants and I tried very hard to grow my nails and make a nice gradient nail which I think worked :)

For day 2 I was a little influenced by the situation in Paris. I wore this Baby the Stars Shine Bright dress that I got in Paris in maybe 2008 or something? The dress has little Eiffel towers in the print and the adress of the brand's Paris store written on it.

But I haven't worn lolita in a very long time so my lolita is a little..yeahh~ I am sorry for not doing it properly but this was the best I could do without feeling too frilly and outdated~

Yeah it all doesn't match style-wise but I liked it anyway~ I am a moongirl in training so I made my nails look like the starry sky and I wore my constelation bow :) It was a mess but I felt good!

Promoting Osharecon 2016!! At MGC (it's a lot of pink!!)

Hey guys! It's that time of year again, Rox, Do and I will be visiting lots of cons and places to promote the second edition of Osharecon! Osharecon Tokyo nights :)

We have a different venue for this edition, leading to a more personal and cozy atmosphere! And where the first edition was more of an overall introduction to j-fashion, this edition will be a little more in depth~

I have to say that as far as organization goes my role is minimal, but I like to help promote and I hope to be helpfull during the event itself :3

Last Halloween we were promoting at MGC expperience in Nieuwegein :)

International gyaru meet in Utrecht - Summer 2015

Hey guys, it's time for a much belated post. Last summer in July HYPER (and when I say HYPER I mean mostly Rox and Do) organized The International Summer Gyaru Meet 2015 in Utrecht.

It's been a while so I don't remember exactly what to say but it was a cute event and I want to show you at least the pictures!! Let me just start off with my look and some details. HYPER members were wearing printed shirts custom made by Madmodesty

As I don't have acceptable extensions at the moment I had to make do with my hair like this. The styling was cute but it could have really done with more length!!

I was really trying to go for something casual but oldschool. I was thinking all 2009 with a touch of 2015 in the nails and lipcolor but well...the hair was really missing..

The venue in Utrecht was very cute. It was part of a gay bar in the city center and the inventory was all pink and black and totally gyaru certified!
We decorated the place with pink balloons. I made a cute photocorner inside but the light was really too dim to use the photocorner and because it was a little hidden in the back it kind of lost momentum.

During the day we had introduction games, a raffle, parapara games and old dutch games that..honestly HYPER members were enjoying far more than any of the guests...Oops.. well I had fun!

In the evening we had a BBQ. To be honest the BBQ didn't go all too well, preparing food took a little too much time so on future meets we might opt for a safer choice. But everyone was chatting and eating and after dinner we took photos and moved inside for Parapara performances, with great thanks to Gyaru Lovers who came all the way from Germany and spiced our party up for the time being.
The rest of the night was karaoke and crazy dancing as the dancefloor slowly got more and more empty.

The sunday of the meet we were supposed to have a picnic! But it was rainy and everyone was a little tired so we had lunch somewhere instead~ I did try to get dressed up for the occasion but because of the rain and for general comfort I changed into jeans again pretty quickly~

I think we had a pretty fun day and I look forward to the next international gyaru get together!

3 ways I treated myself on a "budget"

As you guys may have noticed, I have had growing intervals between posts here, I only post event reports, or nothing substantial at all. The reason for this is to some extent that I am busy with work, I am generally uninspired and I don't feel I have what it takes to bring it to this blog ^^;; ~

This is a post I wrote litteraly a week or so before I found a job at the end of last winter!! Looking back it was not so bad, so please check it out :)

I think everyone that has been professionally inactive over a longer period of time, or anyone in the last week before midterms for that matter, knows the feeling: you don't allow yourself to use your time for fun stuff even if you just sit and stare in the distance. Does this make sense to anyone?

But one day you end up a pale, sad hoodie dweller, all you do on a day is sit in the weak blue light of your computer, scrolling hundreds of pages for jobs, or stare at an empty word file that should contain your sociology paper before next Tuesday.
You may only see one friend a month at most and go out once a week to see your grandma, preferably when the sun is already down because arrrrggg sunlight D:

I wanted to take myself out of that and give myself a treat! But I have no money and I am also on a diet, so I had to improvise~ These are the three ways I treated myself, you are part of the treat so thank you for reading :D

Disclaimer ._. : These are ways I can treat myself, on a budget. But not every person is the same, not everyone withholds from things to the exact same extent, and not everyone has a history of buying lots of stuff in the past that they can use now, I have because I am old. In essence this is me enjoying money I previously spent, and I am well aware not everyone has that luxury!

Way 1. Allow yourself to use the fancy or fragile things you treasured in your closet.

I'm not sure this is something everyone does, but sometimes I buy things that are relatively expensive, or so breakable(!), that I just keep them in the closet to look at.
One example is this phone case I decorated years ago. As I am cheap with electronics I had this phone for 5 years and it might die in a few months. I once decorated my phonecase with lilac roses and rhinestones, it was kind of fragile and I had to give up using it because of my part time. If you're not even leaving the house, why not use this case for a while? I made some bows out of ribbon and stuck them on the empty spots and there it is, a pretty cute phone case :)

This is an old thing, but it feels like a new thing to me :) plus it is super gorgeous!

I have countless of these things, from clothes to towels to shoes and scarves that are "too pretty to use" and it isn't bad to try preserve them but it is a great free treat to use them for a day or for a while :D

Way 2. Dig up old (useless) things, and give them a new use and a photoshoot ;)

If you've been into the same general aesthetic for a long time, you may find that stuff you got 10 years ago still appeals to you, in fact stuff you got 10 years ago may appeal to you more than stuff you got 5 years ago at some point! Because fashion is a cycle~
When I was watching all the My Melody stuff on tumblr and thought about how My Melody is a kind of vague character, I remembered a My Melody pouch I got 9 years back! Although I have at least 20 cute pouches and half of them without a good use, this one pouch was more interesting to me as I hadn't used it in the past 8 years and because of the recent rise in My Melody goods I could see it in a new light.
When I found it I put a few cute items in like the matching My Melody handkerchief, a mirror and a cute new Etude House lipstick (Etude House makes everything better) and I spent a while taking pictures of it. Though none of them came out that great (my lack of general skill) the effect of taking pictures of the item, is the same as it would be if I took great pictures, let me tell you why after the pic:

Why taking pictures needs to be mentioned here is because we live in a day we see things in manipulated 2D almost more often than we see things in the dull and grey reality, we use angles and filters to make reality look 'better', and to do that we spend time focussing our lens, literally and figuratively, on the good side of our subject. That can be a very uplifting thing*! And again, this makes me feel like I have a new thing :)

*But be careful, it can also make you feel very critical of the things you are not so pleased with, I wouldn't apply this theory on for example selfies.

Way 3. Make a thing :3

Not everyone likes to make a thing :3 , but the variety of things you can make are endless and there are things almost everyone can make out of materials they probably do own, with a little help from the internet~ Besides, sometimes it's a fun activity to make a thing :3 no? A good example of this is products in the category beauty. Skin masks, scrub salts, body mist, usually these things can be made from stuff you have at home, they smell nice in the process and just pop them in a cute container and you're done.
Something I really wanted was an effective lip plumper, I had one old simple lip balm (probably just Vaseline) and I tried this recipe. I ended up with a nice fragrant and slightly plumping gloss! I do recommend to be very careful with proportions! Because if you're using lip plumper in essence you are irritating your lips to make them swell up so please be very very careful!

I had some leftover deco parts and decorated the lid, I should find more little rhinestones I'm sure I have some somewhere...

Keep yourself looking pretty and allow yourself to have a little luxury sometimes!! Don't wither away in your blanket ok?

Animecon 2015 with Princess Apparel!

Hey guys! two weekends ago was Animecon in the Hague! Consequently it's the one year anniversary of Princess Apparel setting up shop at cons and markets!! I was really happy I could join Rox again this time, and it was a little more of a group effort this year as all of HYPER was present for the fashionshow on sunday!

Since last year Rox has really expanded her stock with many cute new items!! And the booth looks big and attractive full of cute things! Waah~

As you can see, some new additions are the big magical girl buttons (so cute, I have one!!!), fluffy hairaccessories and resin pieces in maaany colours!

On the other side of the booth we were preparing for the lectures and fashionshow Rox was hosting!!

It was very cozy behind the booth :3 Rox did a gyaru make-up tutorial and a sujimori tutorial! And I was her model :D So lucky, I got so spoiled that day!

We had a little time before the lectures started so I played with this beautiful shiny cupboard! I love the shiny part but I actually tried to sit behind every door once and it was pretty ok!

I had a very nostalgic feeling wearing big hair! I made my hair fluffy one more time later that weekend and I might do it on the HYPER summermeet in 2 weeks!!!!!! DO remember to get your tickets if you are interested!!

S/s 2015 inspo: all that glitters is pink and white?

Hello lovelies :3

Thank you for visiting my slightly neglected blog!

It's already June, does it feel like summer where you are at?

Here it doesn't at all :( it's cold and cloudy~

But then, we only have a few more months to enjoy summer fashion! and someone really cool suggested I make a summer inspo post!! I think that was a very good idea :) I didn't make a spring catalogue post this year, and this is more like an inspirational spam with a general line of trends I like across several brands..so yeah let's just~

As I was saving cute pictures I realized it was 90% pink and white, remotely Rady-ish, so I guess that's what the focus is today :3

Not like that is all that's out there though!! But it does seem really popular, and increasingly popular among gaijin gals too :) it's very cute to see!

And when we start, I suggest we start with white, and build it from there. I remember in the time I started gyaru it was all beige/creme and not so much cold harsh white but look at us now!

Start with a white basis and you can't really go wrong this year :D

Which inevitably leads to the next point, which is pink statement handbags, because why not? I need one, I really need one... Maybe two? Why? Because it dresses everything up to this year's trend :D It goes great with basics too!

And if you want to go bold there's a lot of this..Rady-esque prints and (faint) pinkxwhite florals! It might be a little harder to find in your local stores, but still cute :3

Duras

I think it's safe to say Datura is taking Rady further than Rady is taking itself! But Datura can do that, because it's a very bold brand and I take my hat off for that :3

As a bonus, I don't think this is particularly s/s15 but I have been really into this lately, (tweed) pink minidresses and actually just general hostess wear! Hostess culture was one of the appealing and interesting parts of gyaru culture when I started out, and I still draw inspiration from hostess dress shops and profile sites!

Gal picknick in Utrecht 14/5/2015

Yes I am still alive, just a little out of inspiration to blog hehe ^^;; maybe I should take blogging less seriously so I actually have something to blog about.

Anyway this is a very short post about last thursday's picknick!

Last thursday was a national holiday so we had a picknick planned. We have gal picknicks every year but this one was a little early in the year as other events take priority later in summer, I will let you know about this cool event Rox is planning later :3

Although it's early in the year we had a sunny day. For many students finals are coming up now so not too many people attended, we have had around 40 participants in picknicks before but this time it was more of an intimate gathering :)

If the group is smaller there are more opportunities to get to know others a little. Actually in the last 3 years, while I was kind of drifting off from gal, the community has expanded with the next generation, so it is kind of interesting to see! I am glad there are new gals to keep the style and community alive a little :3

There were lots of delicious things to eat but actually I am minding my diet right now so it was kind of hard! I have a baaaad sweet tooth and eating is part of the social happening you know~

I had fruits though, I ate a LOT of fruits!

It was a very sweet day with my friends, the weather was surprisingly good and it was just very relaxed and nice. We ate, made little flower chains and tanned a little...unintentionally but..

It always feels a little weird to hang out if the next day is a workday, the nostalgy of a sunday..

Kari actually brought a lot of nailpolish because she can't use them anymore due to her job, so I even have a little haul!!

Because it was a weekday and I was scared it might be cold I have a kind of casual look here.

Osharecon 2015 report (pic heavy)

So, I made you wait for ever and ever but I decided to finally make the post about Osharecon. Osharecon was held march the 14th in Utrecht, I'm sure you remember I was busy spamming you with this event and after the event I pretty much disappeared :o

Long story short Osharecon was the first Dutch J-fashion con Rox, Dominique and I were engaged in organizing. Well, I helped but I really want it to be known Rox and Do put their hearts and souls into the event, it was a lot of work and pretty stressful at times and I really really want to compliment them on dealing with so much stuff so well!!

As you can imagine I spent the day running around trying to make myself usefull! So I didn't take a lot of pictures myself, but fortunately Miyake Studios took a lot of photos at the event so allow me to give you a bit of an idea of the general atmosphere!!

I started the day trying to build up a bit of a photo corner and I got help from the lovely Kyo!!! She is one of the sweetest gals I met in such a long time and I felt really comfortable chatting with her. I am so so so so grateful she came to help out with the event!!

The dealers were preparing their booths and we were all getting ready!

The day started with a performance by Murasaki Mahou and a dance performance from Yosakoi group Raiden. Other performances included a concert by Koi Pendant and, to close Osharecon, a concert by ADAMS. Allow me to give you a bit of an idea of the performances:

There were several Fashion shows, workshops and lectures going on throughout the day. Let me show you a few highlights:

Besides the gyaru fashion show Rox and I were also responsible for the gyaru lecture! I hope it was clear and understandable for the viewers! I Enjoyted chatting abou tmy favourite gyaru styles and I felt like it was nice and casual and the audience was really sweet even though I was rambling!

My look for the day was inspired byy Duras' s/s exhibition pics I saw early in the year. I got the peignoir from my grandma which was a blessing because I had no idea what to wear until I found that! And it was all pretty comfortable and not too hot! I also come up for the Liz Lisa fashionshow once in this old Liz Lisa dress I have, I'm sure you've seen that before

Princess Apparel New Goods and Osharecon is nearly upon us!!

Last weekend I was yet again Rox' companion at the Princess Apparel booth! I thought I'd take the opportunity to show you some of the new items and to show you all my Princess Apparel stuff I got up to now!

I'd also like to remind you that Osharecon, the event Rox, Dominique and I are organising, is really soon! and..I want you all to come ;) ok?
But first this

Last week was Tsunacon in Rotterdam the Netherlands! As I don't frequent cons a lot unless it's with Princess Apparel, I hadn't been to Tsunacon before but it was a very crowded event and as usual many of our friends attended too :) In fact we were a little overstaffed at the booth, counting no less than 4 of the Eevee evolutions ;) I was Leafeon :o

In fact this was my first ever cosplay of an anime, I have previously attempted a closet cosplay of one of Tumblr artist Nich0lael's characters (go check out her art if you hadn't, it's lovely).

As far as cosplay goes, I am not sure I will do it ever again. I am just not that interested tbh.

Rox made some alterations to the booth layout, for example chokers now hang on their own separate cards on a rack :)

That leaves more space on the table for other items!

For the first time Rox made luckybags :D even I am curious what is inside each of them ;)

A few other new additions are the pearl-chain bow necklaces on the left picture. And also the simpler hairbands and the sailor moon inspired choker on the picture on the right :D

And these buttons! They were very popular, I think they are very cute and I got one too :D

This is the one I reaaally wanted and Rox gave it to me :3

Sorry, is this vulgar? hehe I just fell for the little animal at the bottom look at it!

Rox gave me a lot a lot of PA stuff up to now :o Rox is just such a sweety :D Let me line up everything I got for birthdays, graduations and when I assisted her at the booth :3

The pouch is very usefull, I can use it to store my other PA stuff in :3 I also have one skirt Rox gave me! I really want to coordinate it cutely for summer :3

Which leads me to this! Osharecon is already less than a month away!! March 14th :o

And most of the program has been confirmed by now!

On top of a gyaru and a lolita fashionshow, there are also fashionshows for V-kei and dansou, and a show for the more general creative/Harajuku based style~!

We have a ton of workshops for you ranging from deco and deco nails to Popin' Cookin' and other things.

We have a dealer room, a teaparty, fashion snaps and 2 live acts~!!! ADAMS and Koi Pendant :)

And of course lots of sweet visitors that are interested in Japanese fashion :D You should come and bring your friends ;)

S/S Previews from Rienda, Duras and Lip Service

The new year has started, the days are growing longer and in the grey and cold landscape winterblossoms surprise unsuspecting passers by. For most of us it's still far from spring, but in Japanese tradition the spring season is opened in early February, and so it's not that weird to see SS collection previews on staff blogs as soon as...now!

And even though I wished I could stop time and I don't want spring to come too soon, I was a little excited to find out what some of the big onee brands have in store for us this spring :) Because even though my personal style is nothing near as sophisticated as for example Rienda, we could note down a few recurrent themes and just enjoy cute bright pictures when it's still cold out! Shall we?

Let's start with Rienda, one of the reasons these three brands still appeal so much to me regardless their steady stride away from gal style, is that their staff is flawless and in fact they are the last little trace of gal in these brands at all!

These looks show a lot of continuity, we still see a lot of white, there are straight big blazers.

The cut of this dress looks even more shapeless than I feel like we saw last year, but well, still white, yellow, blue, floral..yep let's see some more

Blue is pretty prevalent here, although we see some pink and mint too! I really like the floral jumpsuit, there are more jumpsuits this season uhu uhu :D in fact I bought a cute jumpsuit two years ago but that time I had the choice between mint or blue and white and in retrospect blue and white would have done well on the long run :o

I like that peplum or peplum-like two pieces are still acceptable! It's so elegant and cute~

I'm also interested in the shoes, lots of white shoes and the shapes are pretty interesting too :o like in the last two pictures those shoes are somehow attractive..

Let's not linger and move on to Duras, which looks more tropical somehow.. It might be the staff, I would kill to look like them, so tan and their hair is amazing color and curls and all omg....
But the clothes~

I love this pic! Omg the trench, the jumpsuit, what is this magic?! This is amazing ;~; oh goooood I just want the whole look, I want them both, and then I want to clone myself and hang out with myself :o

These are from the Duras SS exhibition event.

And what we see here is alot more white, denim, yellow, stripes, well that's all not very new but I love the three quarter pants, even though in my opinion it's something hard to pull off. The sheer long cardigans kind of remind me of the peignoir trend in other alternative japanese fashions, they look super cute, I would love to see more of this and how the staff will work this.. In general the loose fit and sheer fabrics remniscent of intimates which I feel was a thing in other alternative fashion for a while, I think can lead to some creative and cute coords :D
Also some more mint :3 I am glad the mint returned a little after a seeming absence last year :o

And last but not least a few images from Lip Service, they didn't have that much out yet or at least I didn't find,but this I found :)

The shoes are very elegant and classic, nothing too freaky but I like it~

We see some more off-the shoulder and lavender too like we saw with Rienda before, other than that, well, the long cardigan looks summery and relaxed, more floral-on-white prints~ I want to see more of this but I am impatient~

Overall, well you might know by now my analysis isn't particularly enlightening but it's nice to see cute pictures and get in the mood for spring somehow :) So please consider this post as no more than that~!

4 sweet looks for holiday celebrations!

Hello my lovelies!
I hope you all enjoyed/survived the holidays so far!
I am having really lovely days, I shook off my worries for a bit and also compared to last year this December feels so warm and nice :) I wish you all the same!

Christmas is only 2 days but I have 4 looks here, how is that? We have two birthdays around Christmas actually, my niece on the 26th and cousin on the 27th, and I dressed up once for a random occasion so I ended up with 4 super sweet looks :) They are super sweet because lots of pink ;)

Shall we just look at them?
This look was for dinner at my grandma's home on Christmas day:

It is cold and I didn't want to look all too dressed up so I combined this kyaba dress with a cropped turtleneck sweater and otk boots! Looking at the pictures I think it isn't flattering in every angle, especially the boots in this..But I was warm and I could wear my dress, that is all I wanted!

For the occasion let me show you our Christmas tree, it has a natural theme, my mom changed from the fluffy gold cloud tree we had for more than ten years..it is a little sad to see the old theme go but this is charming too! Funfact: I painted the raindeer ornaments to make them look like fawns.

And this is our Christmas morning breakfast! We didn't eat that all but it is cute no?

On boxing day I also had to attend my niece's birthday, on top of family dinner at my aunt's! So I was rushed a little bit but I came up with a surprisingly decent look!

I never meant to look so sweet and pink all the time but it kind of just happened..I did a lighter makeup look with brown liner and no lenses because if I can help it I don't wear lenses three days in a row, it makes my eyes dry~

Finally today we had my cousin's sweet 16! The theme was sweet..well I think I have proven that is not really a problem for me ^^;; I thought about doing something ott but I changed my mind, it is not my party and I always wanted to be the classy older cousin for once ^^;; In the end I went with a pretty simple coord

Unfortunately the lipstick didn't show up much on pictures but actually it was bright pink~

And the last look, just for fun! It's actually from a while back, as you can see there are no decorations yet and it isn't too cold as I have my fall jacket on~

Rox' magical pastel birthday party and Princess Apparel at Satsuki Concert~

Not to always clutter your feed with event posts I combined these two! So it's two events and two blurry outfit shots in this post :) First was the weekend before last, a concert Rox, Dominique and I attended to sell a few things! It was fun for me as it was near my home and for once I didn't have to travel across the country~

My look for the event was black and white, I had planned this with a red cardi but I couldn't find that one so I changed to this houndtooth jacket last minute~

It was quite a different setting to promote Princess Apparel! It was a relatively intimate event, the visitors would only come by at the end and the start of the concert, and the venue was kind of cooler than the big convention halls..I had fun even though we didn't get to see as many customers as usual~

Then last weekend we celebrated Rox' birthday :D The theme was magical pastel and she made lots of sweets! It was fun to see many friends and also people I never met before :)

Three random outfits since August!

Before saying anything else, I want to thank the person who posted me in gyaru valentines last September! I didn't find a good occasion to say thanks but it often popped up in my mind and made me happy :) And let me just say my thanks here now, in case this person reads it :3 Thank you so much! The happiness you gave me lasts until even today!

Princess Apparel and Osharecon at Nishicon, and an announcement regarding Osharcon!

The weekend before last I had the pleasure to accompany Rox and Dominique once again with the Princess Apparel and Osharecon stands at Nishicon in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands!

Most unfortunately I forgot my camera and I don't have a proper smartphone :o (The phone I have is pretty much busted too so yeah) I ended up taking pictures by ipad!
The event was fun and Rox and I were invited to participate in a fashionshow there too so we had enough to do :)

During this event we didn't have as many visitors to the Osharecon booth, but we had fun with the props ourselves :P

We have been promoting Osharecon mostly to J-fashion lovers in the Netherlands so far but we have heard voices from people abroad that were interested in the event too!
Therefore I would like to announce to those of you from abroad that might attend the event, that we are still looking for people that would like to participate in the gyaru fashionshow! Rox and I are the ones in charge of the gyaru fashion show and you can find more information and how to apply through here.

This is day two...I was just tired of wearing a wig on my head, and I just wanted to wear a warm fluffy sweater :3

So because I did more laid back looks I have some more complicated plans for upcoming parties and events :) I'm just not sure where my style is headed, I used to have such a clear idea of what I liked but now I like so many different things! But I guess I'll find out, in time?

And because my new favourite thing is making collages, here is one of the Nishicon weekend!!
