I bought some cheap stuff and tried to do something similar to your art but its not working with the sponge. What type of liquitex paints are you exactly using and where is the best place to buy them. Im Polish but live in UK. Dont want to get to small or too big set. What would not suggest for start. Radek<br /> <br /> A: Hi Radek, I use soft body liquitex acrylic paint. I would recommend for you to experiment with different types that are out there to see what works better for you. I usually get my supply through online stores such as DickBlick.com check them out to see which ones will deliver to outside of US. This might be cheaper for you depending on quantity. I am not sure about the prices in Poland or UK so you have to do your research what would be cheaper. Do you use retarders slow drying acrylics or just keep wetting the canvas<br /> <br /> A: I usually just use plenty of water and wet my canvas prior to applying the paint. As I started trying to paint recently one of the technique I wish I could learn the most is when you blend colors with your sponge the finish you get with it is incredible. Do you put pressure on it or do you get close enough just to say you touch it I dont know if its my type of paint bought the average quality since Im beginning or how I handle the sponge but I cant get paints to blend together they do mix sometimes but by spot only and my biggest problem is that the sponge often gets the paint off the canva when i use it and its a little wet. I can blend color but itll go from dark blue to white directly without a good transition since it takes off most of the paint and the transition is like 2mm between colors . Also I tried with the canva a little wet more wet and ... did a lot of experience.
