An on-rails running game, Pepsiman places players in the role of Pepsi's Japanese mascot, who must quench people's thirst with his name-brand goods.

Overview

Pepsiman is a Japanese game for the PlayStation released in 1999, featuring the Japanese mascot for Pepsi, Pepsiman. The gameplay itself is entirely on rails, consisting of Pepsiman running from one end of the level to the other, picking up Pepsi cans and using Pepsi-branded vending machines on the side. Some levels mix up the gameplay by either controlling Pepsiman in awkward situations that change the controls or by having him run away from a renegade gigantic Pepsi can on the prowl. Additionally, the game also features live action FMVs that depict a portly American man who serves little purpose other than to further advertise the products depicted within the game.

Gameplay

The game is divided into four areas, each made up of two stages. Each area starts off with Pepsiman being approached by person with a problem, usually involving people whose thirst desperately needs to be quenched, preferably with Pepsi. Once the game get under way, there's a countdown timer and the level has to be finished before it reaches zero. Viewed from the third person perspective, Pepsiman runs through the level automatically while the player controls his direction, left or right, and three key movements: sliding, sprinting and jumping. Among other things, Pepsiman has to jump over open manholes, avoid oncoming traffic, slide under semi trucks and through people's homes, and dodge garbage/furniture falling out of trucks driving in front of him. The player also has to collect small cans of Pepsi along the way. There are one hundred in each stage, and collecting them increases Pepsiman's lives. With each stage the difficulty increases, and the last levels are known to be brutally challenging.

Trivia

Despite being released only in Japan, all the game menus, dialogue and FMVs are in English, making it very import friendly in the West.
Before Pepsiman, the developer, KID Corp., was better known for making adult games for the Sega Saturn.
The game was so popular in Egypt that someone decided to make an Arabic dubbed version of the game.
Some levels in the game are based on Pepsi's television ads where Pepsiman originated from.
The game disk can be played as an audio CD, and includes 7 tracks, all of which are background music of the game's levels.

Reptilian beasts of myth are supposed to belch vicious flames from their mouths. Yet with Bubble Bobble, Taito somehow made it completely awesome for dragons to spit bubbles instead. A platform action arcade game that was ported to many home systems, the version released on the Nintendo Entertainment System is available on the Wii's Virtual Console service and shows off just how well its hectic, points-hoarding gameplay has aged.

You play as dragons Bub and Bob and set out to the "Cave of Monsters" to rescue your girlfriends. How to do this is simple: Travel through self-contained rooms with platforms and mean critters strewn about, trap each one of these finds in bubbles, and burst said bubbles. Once every enemy in a room has been taken care of, you're transported to the next stage. You've got a large arsenal of power-ups at your disposal: candies that affect how you launch your bubbles; special bubbles that release torrents of water, flames, or thunder; and spell books that unleash screen-clearing magic.

Despite the friendly mechanics, Bubble Bobble requires technique to master. You'll have to learn how to "ride" bubbles floating around the rooms in order to reach out-of-the-way platforms and enemies. You also have to take into account each room's "current," which forces bubbles to float about in different patterns at different speeds. Some of the more difficult stages will force every bubble into a corner at high speeds, popping them after only a short while. Wait too long to clear a room, and a ghastly, invincible White Beluga will chase you until you lose a life or finish the level. But the inviting controls make this all intuitive to pick up, and you'll appreciate the sense of accomplishment that comes with riding a wave of bubbles to snare that last, troublesome twerp hiding in the corner just before the White Beluga catches you.

There's also satisfaction to be had when you become more efficient at clearing rooms. Settling for trapping enemies and then popping their bubbles individually is all well and good. However, because you can burst an entire cluster of bubbles at once, the real catharsis comes when you take out every monster in the room at the same time: Just trap each one and then carefully push them all together. The result is a gleeful explosion that sends your enemies flying every which way, leaving behind delicious goodies to grab. Each of these many pickups is worth different numbers of points--putting you that much closer to earning extra lives. The more monsters you knock out at once, the bigger your immediate point reward--and the more you'll litter the playfield with ice cream cones, popsicles, fruits, vegetables, necklaces, baubles, rings, diamonds, crystals, and parasols. In Bubble Bobble's two-player mode, cooperation quickly becomes a hectic competition to see who can grab more loot.

The accessible, addictive gameplay makes Bubble Bobble great fun for everyone, though those with an aversion to sweets might balk at Bubble Bobble's sugary presentation. Every character is drawn in an overly colorful, cute, wacky fashion. The music that plays throughout is a single, perpetually chipper ditty that could use some changing up once in a while. Still, the visuals and audio are hard not to love--as is Bubble Bobble as a whole.

At 500 Wii points, the 99 completely unique rooms, huge variety of pickups, enemies, and power-ups, and simple yet skillful gameplay make downloading this game a no-brainer. If you have a beating heart, this game is one whose cheeks you'll want to pinch over and over again.

Some software are available for download in their “trial version”. These trial versions are freewares that are mainly used to give a trial or to test a software. Users satisfied with the software may try the “full version” of it in the future. However, once these promotional versions are installed, a message to activate the software by entering the product key appears. This message appears every time a user logs on to his system. This is the Auto-Activation feature of Windows.

For example, a user using a 30-day trial version of Windows 7 gets a message to activate his O.S. every time he turns on his computer. This might be a little irritating feature to some users.

Enabling or Disabling Auto-Activation :

Auto-Activation in Windows is a feature that is provided with an option to the user to either enable or disable it during installation of the O.S. In case the user hadn’t opted either or wants to change his choice, the Windows Registry is the place to work upon. The Auto-Activation feature can be disabled or enabled by simply changing a value in the registry. However, even the simplest of tasks may go wrong. Hence we strongly recommend that the user creates a backup of his Windows Registry prior indulging in any of the steps below.

Working in Windows Vista :

Follow the steps mentioned below to enable or disable the auto-activation feature in Windows Vista.

1. Press “Windows key+R” to open the “run” box. Type in “regedit” and press ENTER. You can also click on “Start” and type in “regedit” in the search box and press ENTER.

2. The Windows Registry Editor opens up. Navigate to the location

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SL\Activation.

3. On the right-hand-side of the Registry Editor locate the REG_DWORD value “Manual”. Right click on Manual and select “Modify”.

4. In the Value Data box that appears change the DWORD value to either 0 (to enable the auto-activation feature) or to 1 (to disable the auto-activation feature). Press ENTER.

5. Close the Registry Editor and reboot your system.

Auto-Activation feature is now enabled or disabled for Windows Vista.

Working in Windows 7 :

Follow the following steps to toggle the Auto-Activation feature for Windows 7:

1. Open the Windows Registry Editor in the process described for Windows Vista. Click on “Yes” to confirm the User Control Account message that appears to continue.

2. The Registry Editor appears. Navigate to the location

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtection Platform\Activation.

3. Proceed in the steps 3-5 as mentioned for Windows Vista.

Auto-Activation feature is now enabled or disabled for Windows 7.

The Windows Auto-Activation feature is a policy provided to the users to activate the softwares satisfying them. Disabling this feature, by no means activates the software to its full version. It only stops the notification messages that appear regularly to the user.

This guide will show you how to cut your favored segments out from video file and convert to popular video formats, please follow the steps below to complete the video cutting.
First, please download, install and run ImTOO Video Cutter.
Step1: Add video files
Click "File > Add Video Files" in the menu or click "Open Video File" button beside the "Source" box to load video file you want to cut.

Step 2: Choose destination folder
Click "Select Destination File Location" button beside "Destination" box to choose a path to save the output video files you cut.

Step3: Set cut point
Click "Play" to play the loaded video in the preview window. When you find the very start point you want, click "Set Start Point" button or click "Edit > Set Start Point" in the menu to set it as the start point.

Click "Set End Point" button or click "Edit > Set End Point" in the menu to set the very point you want as the end point, thus a segment is displayed in the right segment list. Repeat the process to get more segments.
Tips:
1. If you're not satisfied with the segments you cut, choose the segment in the preview window, and click "Set Start Point" and "Set End Point" button to reset the segment. Or choose the segment in the segment list, and click "Remove" button below the frame list or click "Edit > Remove" in the menu to remove the selected segment, or click "Clear" button or click "Edit > Clear" in the menu to clear all the segments from the segment list.
2. The frame list below the preview window displays the current frame and other four frames before and after. Click "Zoom In" and "Zoom Out" button on the right of the frame list to browse the frames before and after the current frame by shorter or longer interval, and choose the exact frame to set it as the start point or end point. Click "Go to Previous Split Point" and "Go to Next Split Point" button to view the split points.

Step 4: Start splitting
After all the preparation completed, click "Cut" button at the right bottom or click "Action > Cut" in the menu to start cutting the video file.
When the cutting is in progress, you can click "Run background" button to let the program run in the background for lowering the running priority.

After cutting is completed, click "Open Destination Folder" to check the video files you cut.

Enabling or Disabling Auto-Activation :

Working in Windows Vista :

Follow the steps mentioned below to enable or disable the auto-activation feature in Windows Vista.

1. Press “Windows key+R” to open the “run” box. Type in “regedit” and press ENTER. You can also click on “Start” and type in “regedit” in the search box and press ENTER.

2. The Windows Registry Editor opens up. Navigate to the location

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SL\Activation.

3. On the right-hand-side of the Registry Editor locate the REG_DWORD value “Manual”. Right click on Manual and select “Modify”.

4. In the Value Data box that appears change the DWORD value to either 0 (to enable the auto-activation feature) or to 1 (to disable the auto-activation feature). Press ENTER.

5. Close the Registry Editor and reboot your system.

Auto-Activation feature is now enabled or disabled for Windows Vista.

Follow the following steps to toggle the Auto-Activation feature for Windows 7:

1. Open the Windows Registry Editor in the process described for Windows Vista. Click on “Yes” to confirm the User Control Account message that appears to continue.

2. The Registry Editor appears. Navigate to the location

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtection Platform\Activation.

3. Proceed in the steps 3-5 as mentioned for Windows Vista.

Auto-Activation feature is now enabled or disabled for Windows 7.

The Windows Auto-Activation feature is a policy provided to the users to activate the softwares satisfying them. Disabling this feature, by no means activates the software to its full version. It only stops the notification messages that appear regularly to the user.
