SAN FRANSISCO - Hingga saat ini Microsoft mengaku telah menjual habis sekira 262.000 unit perangkat game console Xbox. Penjualan ini terjadi terjadi di Amerika terhitung hingga Maret tahun ini.

Jumlah unit penjualan Xbox ini menjadi indikator kekalahan penjualan PS3 milik Sony di Amerika. Data itu didapat Microsoft berdasarkan temuan perusahaan riset NPD, yang setiap bulan selalu mengeluarkan keterangan data mengenai penjualan video game.

"Kami yakin data ini membuktikan bahwa Microsoft telah kembali ke peta persaingan dan akan mencoba mempertahankan apa yang sudah kami raih," ujar juru bicara Microsoft David Dennis, seperti dikutip Reuters, Jumat (17/4/2008).

Dennis pun menuturkan bahwa Microsoft masih memiliki asupan perangkat Xbox yang cukup untuk memenuhi kebutuhan channel retail mereka. "Kami akan membuat anda tetap menemukan Xbox 360 di toko manapun," pungkas Dennis.

A small outline dual inline memory module (SODIMM) consists of a number of memory components (usually black) that are attached to a printed circuit board (usually green). Like 144-pin SODIMMs, 200-pin SODIMMs have one small notch within the row of pins; however, the notch on the 200-pin SODIMMs is closer to the left side of the module.
