Biden Kicked Ryan's Butt, sneered and "Laughed" at Ryan's many "Half Truths" or ill-informed nonsense. Joe Biden couldn't stop lying as he listened to Ryan Blow Smoke and skirt the truth.

Yes, Biden Won the Debate, hands down. Ryan didn't look bad, but couldn't match Biden's truth, finesse experience, and "Naturalness.

About 9 weeks ago, I received a advance copy of a wonder new book "1 MILLION DOLLARS / Make $250,000 A-Half Million Dollars or ONE MILLION DOLLARS All Yours" Wow that's quite a statement, and easier said than done. Well not really, and there is no blowing smoke here. I'm testing it and I can see How This System Can and Will Work for Me and anyone who takes the short amount of time to read this "Amazing Book" and then put it's Principals into practice.
Yeah, yeah, I know, there are hundreds of books out there that make similar claims. Well I don't know about all those books. I do know that, yes there are similar type books that make false or unrealistic claims. I have not read all the books out there, maybe there are, and I'm sure there has to be some that work, or might work, or "Do Work," like this book here, One Million Dollars / Make $250,000 A-Half Million One Million Dollars All Yours.
Well, as I've said, I received an advance copy of this book 9 weeks ago. I read it through in about an hour. It all seemed pretty reasonable and doable. It made sense and not a bunch of unreasonable and unrealistic approach. No, this was real. I could tell right away and was quite intrigue, and I must say surprised at how "Easy and Simply" the methods and formula for gaining some wealth was. And also i was a bit annoyed at myself that I had not thought of these things and putting together a plan and "practices" together for myself long ago. The "Practices and Complete Method" of this program is so "Easy" and is right in front of you, plain and simple for you to do, yet most people never think to apply the practice. You may feel a bit dumb as I did, when I first read this book of I might say "Enlightenment" for that's what it does, "I Opens your eyes and shows and sends you on a path to gaining a little bit of "Wealth Some Day."
You will not get Rich Overnight, nor probably not become Super Rich. Hey as the author (Andrew Gold) says I can't give you The World for a mere $2.99, but I can give you, well show you the way at least to be "Secure" with at least $250,000, yes "A Quarter Million Dollars," maybe a Half-Million, and even "One Million Dollars" or more, that you can and may accumulate one day. Well i'd say, that seems pretty dam good. Not a bad deal to make $2.99 (the Investment in the book "One Million Dollars), for the very real chance to gain A-Quarter, A-Half, or one whole Million Dollars.
I myself, so far have accumulate a nice piece of Cash that I know I wouldn't otherwise have had now in my procession if I didn't start practicing the methods set forth in "One Million Dollar" Wish I had this book 30 years ago, when I was a young man of just 20. If I did, instead of having just $85,000 in total Wealth at the age of 52 as I did 10 weeks ago, I'd be Worth over a Half-Million Dollars right now. Yes $500,000 ..
Oh yes, you do want to know what these methods are? Of course, well I can't really go into great detail as I signed a confidentiality disclosure when I received my copy of this wonderful book to read and review.
All i can do is say that I highly recommend this book, I will be sending copies to family members and close friend who I know can use it and all the wonderful information and a means and method for them to gain a little Wealth, some Security.
And oh yes, by the way, I meant to mention before. As I've already stated, you are not going to get Super Rich and this isn't going to happen overnight. Many people, myself included, may never gain or have
$250, 000 to their name, let alone a Half-Million-Dollars or a Million. They may never have the security of having at least a Quarter Million Dollars, which is not that bad. All I can do, is tell you this. Get this book, it only cost $2.99 .. Peanuts! Read it, READ IT! READ IT! and follow the methods and instructions, great advice. Put them into practice, and you my friend, will have at least "A-Quarter-MILLION DOLLARS" in your Bank Account some day.
In closing, I'd like to say thank you to the author Mathew T. Gold for helping me to gain a little wealth. Awesome, makes me Happy and makes me feel a little more secure and free of worrying about personal finances and paying the bills. Now I've got this stuff all covered. And I'd also like to thank Mathew for giving me the opportunity to read this marvelous book, so now I've passed this great knowledge on to close friends and family, Loved Ones, and now they can all breath a bit easier and feel happier in their lives. And not only this, by writing this article, hopefully if any number of people buy this book, follow the advice, and put the simple practices into practice. They gain a bit of Wealth, Build their Bank Accounts, gain security and have less worry. Then I can feel quite good about helping others as I've lead them to this Great Book.

"LOVE IS A LOSING GAME"

Remembering Amy. We must. Lovely Amy. As we all know she died to soon. A tragic life and death at the age of 27 .. The dreaded 27, the age Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Famed Graffiti Artist Jean Michel Basquiat, Kurt Cobain,and Brian Jones of The Rolling Stones died. And 1 Year ago, Amy Winehouse as well.

Amy is gone. Died of alcohol intoxication. A tragedy, especially such a great talent in a day of barely any great talents such as was the case of the great musical decades of the 1960's and 70's., but now a lot of out and out garbage and really no great musical talents such as we had with the great Rock, Pop, and R&B Artists of the 60s and 70s. There are none today or the past 20 years or so, just a bunch of bad to mediocre music.

The 200's, forget it. Not one truly great musical artist. We had Amy, she was great. A wonderful soulful singer with a powerful contralto voice. Amy sang R&B, Soul, and Jazz like no new artist has for some time. Just to hear her wonderful soulful sing on "Love Is A Losing Game" or Valerie, and right there you can see (hear) what a great a phenomenal artist she was. A true star and one of the greates singers of her time, if not the best.

Unfortunately Amy's life was snuffed out way to soon. She was unable to beat the demons that took her life. Unfortunately she couldn't pass through it. There have been many people over the, famous and not who have taken and abused quite a lot of "Drugs and Alcohol" and they may have been lucky that these two substances never took their lives. They may have done tons of drugs and drank far more alcohol than one should ever drink, but nothing bad ever happened to them. They made it through however many years of abuse, and were lucky enough to wake up and stop before the drugs and alcohol and recklessness killed them. Guys like Keith Richards and others. Poor Amy was not so lucky. She didn't stop in time and Alchohol got her and killed her. Maybe drugs too. Poor Amy didn't get a pass. Amy who with her wonderful voice could have become one of the greatest musical artist of the 21st Century. Not that she isn't great. She is. She was, but it is the thought that if only Amy didn't succumb to the drugs and alcohol, imagine all the great music she had in front of her and would have but din't get the chance to record. To Live.

God Bless You Amy and Rest in Peace. You are missed by many, now after one year and always.

Yeah, "FUCK YOU KNICKS" I don't want to go into a whole lot of detail right now. All i can say is that New York Knicks manegement SUCKS, "Big Time." They had a Golden Opportunity to cash in on one of NBA History's Most Phenomanal Stories and players eve, and they blew it. They let the Houston rockets beat and Out-Bid a new york team. This is EXCEPTIONABLE. Jeremy Lin came out of no where last year and set the Sports and Basketball World on Fire with his lightning fast rise to fame and prominence. no body has seen anything like this since Michael Jordan. No, I'm not comparing him with Michael Jordan or Jordan great skills as a basketball player. Jordan may very well be the Greatest basketball Player of All-Time. lin will never be any where near as great as Jordan. But the story and sudden success and the whole Linsanity is every bit the equal to Jordan's story, maybe even more phenomenal.

The Knicks have NEVER EVER had any player with the Marquee Power and prominence of Lin. yes the Knicks have had many wonderful players over the years; Bill Bradley, Earl Monroe, Walt "Clyde" Frazier, Patrick Ewing who in all those years with the Knicks could Never lead them to a NBA Title wihich the Knicks haven't won since 1973. Sad! The "KNICKS SUCK"

Maybe Jeremy Lin and his teammates could have brought the Knicks their "FIRST CHAMPIONSHIP in 40 YEARS" Maybe not. But at least they could have tried with the type of ball player who only comes around once or twice to a team in a lifetime. that player was Jeremy Lin. The Knicks let him get away, and for that, guess what, "The KNICKS SUCK." !!!!!

Prime-Rib and Ringo! What you say? Yes I say "Prime-Rib and Ringo."

What the Hell do they have to do with one-and-other? Isn't Ringo a Vegetarian? Yes? But isn't he English, Prime Rib Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding? Yes? Ringo is a Vegetarian, but he probably ate and loved Prime-Rib Roast Beef before he stopped eating meat, no? Yes, we thinks so. Question to you Ringo, "Did you eat and like Prime-Rib of Beef before you became a vegetarian?" We'd love to know. Please.

So, what the Hell does Ringo have to do with Prime-Rib you want to know. OK, I'll tell you. Number one, I've loved Ringo way before I ever loved or ate my first tasty piece of Prime-Rib way back when. I've loved and known Ringo and The Beatles ever since I was 4 or 5 years old. Yes I did. I grew up with Ringo and The Beatles. They were the biggest thing on Earth, practically any ways. "Love Me Do," I Wanna Hold Your Hand, "She Loves You Yeah Yeah Yeah," The Beatles, Fab Four, John, Paul George, and Yes RINGO. And yes this was the order you would say their names when saying them one by one; first John, then Paul, George 3rd, and then at The End, for the Grand Finale "Ringo."

OK so you love Ringo, you grew up with him and The Beatles you, "But What the Hell Does Ringo have to do with a juicy piece of Prime-Rib of Beef that he probably wouldn't or couldn't even want to eat?"

OK so as you all know by now, I love Prime-Rib, I love The Beatles, I love Ringo, so what does one have to do with the other? Where's the tie-in?

Mr. Ringo Starr, some years ago put together a band called The All Stars. Being a Beatle, a drummer, musician, and performer Ringo as it so happens still loves playing drums and performing live.

Lately I have been thinking and dying for me a nice "Juicy" Piece of Prime-Rib. Dam they're so yummy, so tasty. Having grown up in Jersey, I love me a nice piece of Prime-Rib of Beef every now and then. Prime-Rib of Beef is a big item in restaurants in Jersey, and many will have once a week Prime Rib Night where you can get yourself a nice piece of Prime Rib, a salad, vegetables, and potato, and maybe even some desert and or soup to start or a All-You-Can-Eat "Salad Bar" all for one nice very affordable price, somewhere around $19.99 to $24.95, whatever.

I've lived in the great city of New York for more than 25 years now, and if there's two things a former Jerseyite can't get in New York, it's Taylor Ham a good piece of reasonable priced

Prime Rib. Two things people in Jersey really love. You just can not find Taylor Ham in New York anywhere. Taylor Ham is a Jersey thing.

Now your'e talking about Taylor Ham you say? What the Hell? Real quick for those who don't know, Taylor Ham is a commercially made pork-product similar in taste to "Spam" only better that was created in 1856 in Trenton, New Jersey by John Taylor. It's yummy, and Jerseyites love it. It's in there blood. Taylor Ham is sliced and pan-fried and usually goes on a plate with eggs for breakfast or in its most famous way with scrambled or fried eggs on a Taylor Ham & Egg Sandwich. Yumm! My mouth waters just thinking of one.

OK so that's the quick skinny on Taylor Ham, along with Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, and yes Prime Rib, the most beloved of Jersey Eats. So to Prime Rib and New York City. Well Prime Rib is no where near as big, popular, or beloved in NY NY they way it is New Jersey, but you can get it here, and another "but," but for a "Price." And a big price at that. Pretty much the only place more or less that you'll find Prime Rib in Manhattan is at any one of New York's great Steak Houses. Yes, besides Sirloin Steaks, T-Bones, Porter House Steaks, Filet Mignon, and Jumbo Lobsters, you can get a nice piece of juicy Prime Rib of Beef at any Steak House in New York.

A Prime Rib dinner at a New York Steak House? What's it gonna cost? Be prepared to dish out about a Hundred Bucks, maybe a little less depending upon if you go for lunch or dinner, lunch being a bit cheaper of course. Let's take Smith & Wollensky one of New York's great and most icon steak houses. At lunch you can get a nice piece of juicy Prime Rib for $36.50 .. You do mot get any vegetable or potato on the plate so add $6.50 for a baked potato. You have to have a least one drink, a beer, or glass of wine, add another $12.00 and your sub-total is $55. You gotta pay tax and leave the waiter a good tip, so your grand total is gonna be about $72 for a bare minimum Prime Rib lunch, at dinner your gonna be around a hundred bucks. No thanks unless you are rich or have a rich friend picking up the tab. Oh yeah I can afford this, but not very often, as most of us out there in the year 2012, 11, 2010, we hope 2013 will be better and 2014, the U.S. economy booming or near to it once again. "Hope and Pray my friends," all of us 99%ers.

OK so I been dying to have me some Prime Rib of late. Even thinking of taking a trip out to Jersey to get one in one of the World's Prime Rib meccas. Yes.

I have also been wanting to see Ringo and His All Star Band for some years now. Every time I'd see his name up on the Radio City Marquee, I'd say to myself "Self, one of these days you just gotta go see Ringo." Yes.

So it's June 2012 and I see Ringo is playing at the Jones Beach Theater and I might want to go. He's not playing Radio City this year and getting to Jones Beach from Manhattan without a car can be though not impossible, a bit difficult it is, especially as compared to jumping in a cab or hopping a Subway up to Radio City, easy and just a matter of minutes. Well I started doing some research and went on to good ole Ringo's website at RinogStarr.com .. As I browsing through I see Todd Rundregn is in this years (2012) All Star Band ... This seals the deal for me. Todd is awesome. I continue to look on the website and see the schedule for the whole concert tour. Ringo is playing The Mohegan Sun Casino Arena on June 17, a Sunday and my day off. Perfect. It's my day off and it will be easier to get to the Mohegan Sun than to Jones Beach, and cheaper too with all the casino bus discounts and special offers. "I'm in." I go on line and buy some tickets. Yee-Ha I'm all set. Gonna go see Ringo, finally, and this will complete me see each and every Beatle in person. I went to a George Harrison Concert at Madison Square garden when I was just a teenager. My first Beatle. Second was John Lennon as I saw him walking down West 72nd Street one day. Quite a thrill. Even more of a thrill was when I was the Maitre'd at Da Silvano Restaurant and met Paul McCartney twice. One of those days, Mark Gnolfer of Dire Straits and the great Bozz Scaggs just happened to be dining at Da Silvano as well. Paul chatted with both of them for several minutes. Quite exciting. So that's three Beatles down, John, Paul, George, and now Ringo. I can't wait, and there's going to be a bonus, my Prime rib Dinner, and it's almost for free.

A free Prime rib Dinner you say? Where? At the Mohegan Sun Casino at their buffet restaurant Seasons. Well I got on the Casino Bus, rode up there to Connecticut to the casino. The bus trip is only $15 round trip and when you get to the casino and get off the bus you get two $20 betting vouchers and the all important $20 food voucher good at any Mohegan Sun Restaurant. Yeah Babee! I did as most people do opt for the big Buffet Dinner, just $24 and all the Spare Ribs, Oysters, Clams, Fried Clams, Fried Chicken, Pasta, Stir Frys, Fish, Roast Turkey, Salads, Veggies, "PRIME RIB" and tasty deserts you can eat. And believe me people eat.

So I get there, get on line, then pay just $4 after giving them my $20 food voucher. Awesome! We sit down, and I go up for my first bit of food, the apetizers. I get 1 piece of fried chicken, 2 Spare Ribs, and some Fired Clams. Yumm! Dam the Barbecued Spare Ribs are some of the tastiest I've ever had and if it was 2 or 3 years previous and I wasn't eating healthier, I swear i would have eaten at least 8 or 10 of these Tasty Little Bad Boys. They were so dam tasty that I was seriously tempted to go get a couple more, as opposed to getting 6 or 8 more which I would have done a few years back. I'm proud of myself I had will power, I did not get any more Spare Ribs that I desperately wanted. good boy.

After I finsihed that 1st plate it was time to go up and get the Main-Event, the Prime Rib. As I approached the Prime Rib Roast Turkey Carving Station i noticed the carver guy was cutting the Beef kind of thin, especially for Prime Rib, "Man Prime Rib Has Just Gotta Be Thick!" You can't eat it any other way. So I approached the guy cutting the Prime Rib and said nice and friendly like and with assertion, "Hey Buddy Give Me a Nice Thick Slice of That Prime Rib Please." And he did, twice the thickness of others I'd seen him slice. Thank You Sir! I appreciate that. As you know, the Prime Rib has just Got To Be Thick.

Yes, the Prime Rib was Excellent, nice and Juicy, Dam tasty, just like the Pork Spare Ribs. Yummm!!!! We had a few deserts and it was off to see Ringo.

Needleless to say, the concert was great. Ringo, Todd and the rest of the Band were absolutely Awesome. The All Star Band also had in it Steve Lukather of Toto (Friggin GREAT Guitarist), Rochard Page of Mr. Mister, and founding Santana keyboard player and lead singer Greg Rolie, aka "The Duke" of Santana. Todd did Hello It's Me, a "Rockin" rendition of Bang The Drum, and my favorite Rundgren song "I Saw The Light." Love it! The Band led by Santana keyboardist Greg Rolie did awesome renditions of "Black Magic Woman," Everbody's Everything, and Evils ways and former Toto guitaristist Steve Lakather was every bit Carlos Santana's equal in lead guitar roll for the Santana songs along with Lakather playing guitar and lead vocals for Toto Monster Hits done by Ringo and The All Stars, which included the iconic "Roseanna" (written about actress Roseanna Arquette, along with "Africa." Awesome Show and it exceeded our expectations.

I Loved it, "Prime-Rib and Ringo." a Tasty Combination to say the least...

What's next! Believe it or not, Nick Wallenda just made an announcement that he will make a High-Wire Tightrope Walk over the Grand Canyon. Dammm !!! Yes, "I said The Grand Canyon."

Earlier today, there was quite a scare when it was reported that Lindsay Lohan, aka LiLo was found unconscious in her Hotel Room in the Penthouse of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Marina del Ray.

Assistance working for LiLo called 911 when they were unable to awaken Lindsay, fearing something might be gravely wrong with the Star of now filming motion-picture "Liz & Dick" about the life of the

Hollywood Royalty Couple "Elizabeth Taylor & Richard Burton"

Paramedics rushed to the scene, examined Lohan and determined there was nothing seriously wrong with the troubled Super Star Actress.

As was falsely reported, "Lindsay Lohan was not taken to a Hospital."

We should all be happy that this was a false alarm, but precautionary instance in terms of the 911 call and paramedic response.

We wish Lindsay all the best and look forward to seeing a fine performance of the late great Liz Taylor.

New York Super Group THE BOWERY BANGS knocked it out at Tammany Hall on The Lower East Side of New York last night. The performed a Rockin F_ckin Awesome Show of the 1978 Rolling Stones album "SOME GIRLS." Yeah it was Rockin. Yeah it was Fuckin Awesome and some thing this great city of ours and country needs more of. What's that? More shows and great music like this.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the music of this current generation is awful. Absolutely atrocious. Why is it? They just don't make good music any more. Why? It's an absolute mystery to me. When I was growing up in the later part of the 60's, 70's , and even 80's there was a plethora of great bands so vast that in comparison to today and the past 15 years or so of such horrible music, mostly Rap and Hip Hop (It's not really music, just awful noise) and other nasty genres of music, "I don't even know what they're called." yes a plethora of GREAT BANDS and Great Music like, The Beatles, the Mamas and The Papas, The Allman Brothers, T-Rex, Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Steely Dan, Al Green, The Supremes, Stevie Wonder, The Stylistics, The Delphonics, Smokey Robinson, all of R&B, Motown, The Philadelphia Sound, Hard Rock, Classic Rock, Frank Sinatra, other solo artists, and on-and-on. Hundreds of Great artist, and now? These days, what have you got? Well maybe one or two good artists here and there, like Alicia Keyes, Cold Play, Cee Lo Green, and? Well I know there are a few others, but I can't thing of any right now. There are so FEW and far far far in-between good artists. You get my point. And oh, I saved the best for last, of yesterday when Music was great and we had a tremendous abundance of it, the best for last, back then in the 60's, 70's, 80's and even now, Thee Greatest Rock N' Roll Band of All-Time, ladies and gentlemen The Rolling Stones. Rock On!

Hey let's get back to The Bowery Bang and what they did the last few days in New York where they performed two great shows of the Stones Great 1978 album SOME GIRLS. One of the Stones best with such wonderful Iconic songs as Shattered, Beast of Burden, When The Whip Comes Down. Some Girls (Title Song), Miss You, and others. Great Stuff to say the least. Thge Bowery Bang put on a nice little show of "Some Girls" at Riff (formerly the legendary CBGB'S) on Saturday afternoon and then again last night at Tammany Hall on The Lower East Side. The Band has a very good drummer, two fine guitarist (sometimes 3) and One Kick Ass Bass player who really Rocks It Out on tile song "Some Girls" sung by Briana Layon does a Kick Ass job as well in lead vocals on this number. The album is performed song by song, side A then side B, cover to cover, and The Band is friggin awesome. The songs are song by multiple singers,

David Pattillo kicks the show off with a Awesome rendition of Miss You. He really Rocks It Out and the large crowd at both shows just went wild and were totally goovin (including this Guy) on the Davids sing and the bands artistry. Sexy Argentinian singer Flor Zabala Fuckin Rocked on

"When The Whip Comes Down" and was so Dam Good, dare I say she performs this song better than Mick. Quite possibly, and I'm sure many at the show would agree. Well anyway Flor belted it out with Hot Energy ans Sexiness while the band screamed behind her, Guitars cranking it out with cool throbbing Bass Line, the drummer keeping a hard beat. It was Heaven for any Rock Fan ans especially those of Stones and there were many, groovin to the Show, The Band, The Rolling Stones, "Some Girls" and Flor singing, "When The Whip Comes Down" Sexy and Hot.

Everyone was havin a great time, Daddy Long Legs was jammin on Harmonica and sang a song too, with a real nice job on Far Away Eyes. Sweet. Shane Rucker sang lead on Beast of Burden, everyone sang on a lively version of Shattered, and the Bowery Bangs finished up this great show with one more fine rendition of "Miss You," as David Pattillo called everyone up on the stage. He took the lead on Miss You with everyone else joining in. It was a hot Jam as The Bowery Bang had Tammany Hall Rockin to the max. Just great, and something this city and America needs a lot more of, great old Rock N' Roll, R&B, songs of the 60's 70's, The Rolling Stones, Rock & Roll, more of this, and a lot less of the Crap they make this days. Sorry, I only deal in facts.

Green as in Green Heineken Bottle, Broccoli Money Green, producer Barbara Broccoli is not about to turn her nose up at 45 Million in green. That's 45 Million Dollars that Heineken International is dishing out for Brand placement in The 23rd Edition of James Bond 007 of Skyfall do out November 2012 ... Forty-Five Million Dollars is nothing to sneeze at and will probably cover 1/3 or more of the productions cost of Skyfall. Never the less, this move is sure to piss off many a Bond fan, but in the end Money Talks and Heineken is putting their money where their mouth is.

2012 and THE HIGH PRICE of TRAVEL

Go to Europe this year? What? I don't thinks so. Well unfortunately oh so true. Well, I might and I might not. The price of travel is just to ridiculous these days. Well it's all relative, isn't it? If you've got tons of money or make far more than your "Average America" then going to Europe with a unfavorable currency exchange rate, the Euro against the weakened U.S. Dollar is no problem for you. But for most, let's say at least 65% of the American population, a trip to Europe and other parts is out of the question.
Now take me for example. I used to go to Europe almost every year for a number of years, even two times in a year some of the times. That was over about a 16 year period. I used to go mainly to Italy and France, but also to Amsterdam, Spain, and Belgium as well, but mostly throughout all of Italy most years, once to The South of France (Nice, Eze, and Manaco) and four wonderful trips to the beloved City of Light, Paris. Back then I used to pay an average of about $550 for a plane ticket to Italy (usually Rome). Once I got a ticket to Milan for just $279... And I always got a ticket to Paris for less than $300... On top of these preety cheap flight to Europe, the dollar was usually favorable against most European currencies, with the Dollar usually fetching 1800 to 2,100 Italian Lire per 1 U.S. Dollar. Pretty dam good.
For example, my first trip to Europe in 1985, I paid $14 for a room in a Pensione in Rome, lunch was
about $10, dinner $20 and small Gelatos could be gotten for just .50 Cents compared to $1.50 today. On that. same trip, I paid $18 for a room in Positano, $35 in Venice, $8.00 for a room in Barcelona, and $35 a room in Nice, France. I stayed with my High School friend JoAnna in Florence for free. I was young, the Dollar was strong and everything was Beautiful. What a time I had on that first trip to Europe, the only time I was able to go for 1 whole month. I got an 30 Unlimited Italian Rail Pass for just $78, my plane ticket on Pan Am from New York to Rome was just $550, I went to Rome, Florence, Nice, Manaco, Barcelona, Venice, and Positano. I was in Europe for 30 days and spent about $2,100 for my airfare, train travel, food, and accommodations. And I didn't stay in Youth Hotels or do the backpacking thing, if that's what your thinking. I stayed in Hotels. Yes, I stayed with friends in Florence for free, but that was only 6 days. I paid for 24 dyas accommodations in hotels, and spent just about 21 or 22 hundred dollars for a wonderful month long visit to Europe. A trip I'll never forget. It was absolutely awesome.
Well, I know what some of you might be saying. That was 1985, sure things are going to be more expensive. What do you expect. Absolutely! Things have gone up disproportionately. I paid $550 for a plane ticket to Rome in 1985. Fifteen years later in the year 2000, I paid $600 for the same ticket. Pretty much the same, or you could say a $50 increase in the price of a plane ticket from new York to Italy. Just a $50 increase in 15 years. So why it that same plane ticket $600 more now, or Double the price at $1,200 in just 10 years time when the ticket when up just $50 in the 15 year previous span? This $600 jump represents the ticket going up 1200 % as opposed to 10%. Now that is significant and disproportionate, wouldn't you say?
The U.S. Dollar in comparison, even up to the year 2000 in Italy I was getting 2,00 Lire for 1 U.S. Dollar, which would be akin to being in the United States and having $2,300 buying power for every $1,000 you actually had. Now that $1,000 that had $2,300 buying power would be worth about $730 or a Loss of about $1,600 in the period comparison. Does this all sound confusing? Well to put it in simpler terms. It would now cost you 2 1/2 to 3 Times more money for a trip to Europe now than it would have cost you just 12 years ago. That's 250 to 300 Percent more in comparison to the notion that if things stayed the same and more normal, the cost of a trip to Europe from the year 2000 to2012 should have only increased in cost by 10% to 15% as opposed to 250% to 300% quite significant and quite sad. People just can't afford Europe any more. Americans that is. That's not good for Europe, and certainly not good for Americans. Or if you do go, and you are the kind of person that really doesn't have a lot of excess money (as Most) then you are going to Pay Through The Nose. Big Time!
