A PRINT by John Lennon was one of more than 150 artworks to go under the hammer during a massive art auction held in Darwin at the weekend.
But Framed gallery owner Anne Phelan was surprised an array of Beatles' memorabilia did not sell on Friday night.

The print of a purple elephant was valued at $1650, but it was passed in after no one bid $800.
Yesterday, Ms Phelan's phone was ringing with bidders who realised they had missed out on a bargain on Friday night.
Jayne Bade, of Brinkin, who purchased five paintings by contemporary Australian artists, regretted not bidding.
"We bought too many by the time this came up," Ms Bade said.

Julie O'Brien, of Coconut Grove, put in a bid yesterday after hesitating too long on Friday night and regretting that she didn't make an initial offer.
"It was up so quickly and it got passed in," she said.
The piece was one of a number of drawings Lennon made for his infant son, Sean. After his death, his wife Yoko Ono had them made into prints.
The purple elephant had been "lurking" in Ms Phelan's storeroom since she held an exhibition of Lennon's sketches in 2007.
"People were shocked there was a John Lennon on offer because few people knew he was an artist, which was always his first love," she said.
Ms Phelan sold about 140 pieces on Friday night, but some of the big names were not budging.
A painting by actor and comedian Barry Humphries was passed in after it did not get a bid above $2000. In Sydney, the man behind Dame Edna can sell his works for up to $30,000.
Ms Phelan expects more prints by Lennon before Christmas.

The atmosphere of dramatic happens when the British Ministry of Housing to cancel the demolition of the home of former Beatles drummer, Ringo Star. The decision quickly was made 11 hours before the execution carried out.

The same thing applied to the 200 houses located in the Welsh Streets, Dingle, Liverpool. Besides Ringo Star, who was so happy with the decision of the British government of course a big fan of the Beatles.

Pop singer Lady GaGa equate himself with the legendary Beatles, John Lennon. According to him, as happened to Lennon, he always felt unhappy and dissatisfied when it has completed the works of his songs.

The singer of 'Bad Romance' was admitted, during the time he fought against the perfectionism that always menghinggapinya. GaGa said, he is almost impossible to feel satisfied with the outcome of his songs - just as Lennon.

Hot news around the world tonight maybe what happened in England some time ago this was the first time in the world. Real The Beatles Discography 1

During his career (1962-1970) the world they have released many recordings from various labels and countries, but basically, only in the United Kingdom was the recording of the Beatles was released as the standard, the basic idea n what they want. In other countries especially the U.S. of their songs released in the compilation and Artwork differently so that not infrequently the Beatles feel their work raped by a record label.
Well, in this post I intend to describe Discography "original" of the Beatles during their career. If we are generally present him if the Beatles has 13 albums plus a compilation of songs non-album like yangg recently re-released in "The Beatles Stereo Set" so here we will see little difference. Official discography of The Beatles now is the standardization of their world discography of 12 original albums from the UK plus one compilation album U.S. output (Magical Mystery Tour), plus a compilation of songs-lagunon their album (The Beatles Past Master Vol I and II). Magical Mystery Tour in the UK originally released in EP format. Format Era EP and single on the CD are considered less effective, so that these formats are removed from the official discography and replaced with a compilation album.
Before I continue it's good to know that The Beatles released their music in the form of Vinyl / Black with 3 disc formats, namely:

Single, a 7-inch vinyl, each side beris 1 song.
EP (Extended Play), the same as a 7-inch singles, but each side contains more songs, which is 2 songs.
LP (Long Play), Vinyl measuring 12 inches, each side can contain 50-10 songs (If today's popular with the terms Album)

The name of John Lennon's difficult to forget as the frontman of the Beatles. If Lennon was alive today, how about his response to Facebook or Twitter?
It may be that Lennon would be very fond of both the social networking site. It is highly believed by Lennon's wife, Yoko Ono.

"He will send statements and messages and opinions all the time for everything," said Ono as reported by the NYDailyNews, Wednesday (12/29/2010).

"Yes, he will indeed be 70 years old, but she still wanted to know about all the things that is happening," Ono added in an interview with other media, dailymail.

Although long gone, a big name John Lennon is still able to attract anyone. And for the fans, the first car owned by Lennon seems worthy to be coveted.

Ferrari 330 GT 2 +2 Coupe Lennon purchased in 1965 will soon enter the auction hall. It is estimated that this car would sell up to number 120,000 euro to 170,000 euro, or approximately USD 1.4 billion up to Rp 2 billion.

This car includes special, because this is the first car that was bought by Lennon after he passed the driving test.

The Beatles First US Visit chronicles the remarkable two weeks in February 1964 that began America's still-enduring love affair with the group.

The film of the frantic fortnight records the hysterical reaction to The Beatles US debut in a documentary that was the real-life inspiration for the Beatles movie A Hard Day's Night.

Closely shot at the shoulders of John, Paul, George and Ringo by the pioneering Maysles Brothers, The First US Visit innovated intimate film-making that set a benchmark for rock and roll cinematography.

Albert and David Maysles were granted all-areas access the like of which is now unknown, filming The Beatles in the eye of their own hurricane as the band besotted America and lifted the nation from its gloom in the wake of President John Kennedy's assassination.

The Maysles film captures the manic moments from when thousands of fans greeted The Beatles as Pan Am Flt.101 touched down in New York on February 7th and sparked a two-week frenzy.

As The Beatles became the first British act to conquer America - with I Want To Hold Your Hand at No.1 in the US charts - the Maysles Brothers shadowed the band off-guard and off-duty in dressing rooms, hotels and night clubs, at photo-sessions and press conferences, travelling together in limos and on trains as the then-wide-eyed lads from Liverpool sped from New York to Washington and Miami revelling in the wild reception to their first US trip.

The film also features their first concert at The Washington Coliseum and their three historic performances on The Ed Sullivan Show - including the seminal night of February 9th when the band first exploded into the homes of a then-world record 73 million TV viewers.

The First US Visit is a great film - really documents the excitement of the time and the magnetism of the Beatles. Loved Ringo dancing in the nightclub, and Paul clowning with the transistor radio!
I love George in this movie!!!! If I could choose out of all the movies in the worls to be in I'd pick this one for sure!

The Concert For Bangladesh

A fascinating documentary into the background story of the historic fundraising concert for charity, the first of its’ kind, organised by George Harrison and Ravi Shankar in August 1971 to relieve the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Bangladesh in it's struggle for independence from Pakistan.

As well as George and Ravi, the show featured Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Leon Russell and Billy Preston. The Concert For Bangladesh explains how the shows came about, features unseen footage from the rehearsals and sound checks, performances from the concerts, and interviews with the participants along with contributions from the UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan and Sir Bob Geldof who reflect the legacy of an event that is acknowledged as being the forerunner and inspiration for the major fundraising events of recent years.

The show was a musical triumph for George Harrison with highlights that included “Here Comes The Sun”, “Something”, “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” and “My Sweet Lord”. Bob Dylan who had not performed for 2 years thrilled the audience with versions of “Just like a Woman”, “A Hard Rains A-Gonna Fall” and “Blowin’ In the Wind”.

I love this concert, the sound quality is awesome! Don't be late to watch it The Concert For Bangladesh! i'm serious! Haha.

The Beatles in the Studio

In 1962 an unknown group from Liverpool entered Abbey Road Studios to record their debut single. During the next eight years they created what is arguably regarded as the greatest collection of studio recordings of the 20th century.

This film charts The Beatles’ extraordinary journey from ‘Please Please Me’ to ‘Abbey Road’ and reflects how they developed as musicians, matured as songwriters and created a body of work that sounds as fresh in 2009 as the time it was recorded.

Narrated entirely by John, Paul, George, Ringo and Sir George Martin the documentary features over 60 classic songs, rare footage and photos from The Beatles’ archives and never heard before out-takes of studio chat from the Abbey Road recording.

The Beatles At Shea Stadium

The Beatles at Shea Stadium is a fifty minute-long documentary of the Beatles' 1965 concert at Shea Stadium in New York, the highlight of the group's 1965 tour. The documentary was produced by Ed Sullivan (under his Sullivan Productions, Inc. banner), NEMS Enterprises Ltd. (which owns the 1965 copyright), and the Beatles company Subafilms Ltd. The project used twelve cameras to capture the mayhem and mass hysteria that was Beatlemania in America in 1965. The documentary first aired on the BBC on May 1, 1966. It aired in the United States on ABC on January 10, 1967.

The film captures not only the concert, but also the events leading up to the concert, including the Beatles' helicopter ride from Manhattan to Flushing Meadows, their preparation in the dressing room (i.e., the visiting baseball team's locker) at Shea Stadium, and clips from the show's other acts, including Sounds Incorporated. Television host Ed Sullivan introduces the band when they finally take the stage.

The film is not a completely candid concert film. The songs "She's A Woman" and "Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby" are omitted from the film due to time and likely camera reel change issues (audio of the latter song was released on The Beatles Anthology Volume 2 CD). The audio for the songs that remained went through a heavy post-production process as well. Some songs were treated with overdubs, or even re-recorded entirely, by The Beatles at London's CTS Studios in January 1966, to cover audio problems throughout the concert recording. In addition, the audio for "Twist and Shout" comes from a show at the Hollywood Bowl later on the same tour, and the audio for "Act Naturally" was simply replaced by the studio version of the song (released on the Help LP in Britain and on the B-side of "Yesterday" in the US), sped up slightly and poorly edited to sync up to the film.

Although the film has not been officially available on DVD or VHS, it has been widely available on the bootleg circuit for decades, including in a "raw audio" form that restores the original Shea Stadium audio track.

Originally screened on the ABC Network in 1995.

You know what would be cool? To release all this footage on iTunes. (It should be divided in a lot of parts, though.)

Wasn't that on a book cover?? i read that book during the summer and it was long and full of interviews i am always laughing at what john says and all the others its funny i read the anthology and what happens then i wish they would be here today hmmm what am i going to do my mom says that i should get one life and appreciate it and i actually do but she doesn't like that i love life its her that doesn't i love the beatles they will never be forgotten.

My favorite part of the anthology is the clip from "Drop In," the Swedish TV show. The Beatles tore it up, and the hosts were totally astounded!

The documentary film “Let It Be” gives an unparalleled insight into the Beatles getting back to basics at Twickenham and at their own recording studios in Savile Row. It spans two weeks of recording of what was to be their final album, Let It Be.

Highlight of the film is their legendary gig on the roof of the Apple Building. The sound of their music attracts hundreds of people in the streets below. The second Beatles’ feature film is a comedy adventure, which follows the exploits of the group as they attempt to escape the clutches of an evil mysterious cult. Will The Beatles survive being eaten by tigers, being shrunk, gassed, blown up, or kidnapped?

This is the second Beatles recording movie. The film was directed by Dick Lester and combines the Beatles’ own sense of humour with antics from a leading cast of actors including Leo McKern, Eleanor Bron, Victor Spinetti and Roy Kinnear.

Have you watch they films? A Hard Days Night is a Good Movie, the first The Beatles record.

Comedy and music are combined to make this pastiche of a day in the life of The Beatles during 1964. The band have to use all their guile and wit to avoid the pursuing fans and press to reach their scheduled television performance. This is in spite of Paul’s troublemaking grandfather (Wildfred Brambell) and Ringo’s arrest.

The film has been praised as a benchmark for music film production, and remains influential to this day. Director Dick Lester used a documentary style of filming to capture the claustrophobia of Beatlemania, and writer Alun Owen delivered a script which epitomised the quick witted humour of the band.

I will discuss about the object that is held by paul when he photographs along with John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo, he was holding a small object such as a camera, to be precise camera antiquity.
a lot of weirdness that is implied from the photograph above:

Foreign objects held by Paul.
Clothes or more often called a coat, paul wearing a gray coat, unlike John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo is wearing a black coat.
Then the objects are also carried by paul, looks like a purse.

I only saw 3 weirdness alone. Maybe you want to add another oddity that may not be implied in my mind.

School Board Shooting The Beatles

A gunman who fired point-blank at school board members before fatally shooting himself had for much of the meeting sat with the rest of the audience, listening to routine business.

Panama, Florida is great place and the beatles was here in 1975, really? yes, of course, they sing with their song, like eight days a week, or love-love me do, or yellow submarine, and that's great song, they play a "shoot something", hahaha, i like the beatles, always be my favorite band, yeah, the beatles :)

The attack on Pearl Harbor (called the Hawaii Operation or Operation Z by the Japanese Imperial General Headquarters, and the Battle of Pearl Harbor by some Americans)was a surprise military strike conducted by the Imperial Japanese Navy against the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on the morning of December 7, 1941.

The next day the United States declared war on Japan resulting in their entry into World War II. The attack was intended as a preventive action in order to keep the U.S. Pacific Fleet from influencing the war that the Empire of Japan was planning in Southeast Asia, against Britain and the Netherlands, as well as the U.S. in the Philippines. The base was attacked by Japanese aircraft (a total of 353, in two waves) launched from six aircraft carriers.

Beatles fans can finally enjoy Beatles songs on Apple devices. The songs of this legendary group can be downloaded at iTunes.

One of the Beatle Ringo Starr did not wait to enjoy this group of songs in iTunes. "Finally, if you want you will get," Ringo said in a statement.

The day before Apple made the statement to provide our customers with exciting surprises. But Apple did not explain in detail. Which was widely circulated rumor states Beatles songs will be enjoyed from iTunes. Both the Beatles' label, EMI and Apple did not comment before the day of H. Finally, these songs became available in iTunes after a long and steep road beyond the negotiating process.

Beatles songs can be purchased for U.S. $ 1.29 per song or album for U.S. $ 19.90 double. Some hits albums like Sgt peppers' Lonely Hearts Club Band, Revolver, Abbey Road became the mainstay to boost digital music sales this quarter. "At the same time save from defaulted debt in March," said a source.

BGC Patners analyst Colin Gillis predicts sales this Bealtles songs can expand sales of the iPod. Especially at this holiday season iPod sales is quite important for the analyst. "Sales up to 20 million iPods would not hurt," said Gillis.

Beatles label EMI said pernjanjian iTunes-Beatles is the exclusive agreement in 2011. But EMI rejected the agreement will expire in the next year. This agreement finally came after tough negotiations between Apple founder Steve Jobs, Management Beatles, and Beatles label EMI. Among you John Lenon-Yoko Ono, Olivia Harrison, widow of George Harrison, and two living Beatles, Paul McCartney and Starr, have not agreed on whether to allow their music included in a digital format.
