TREASURES IN HEAVEN

2014-02-11T15:31:00.001-08:00

One thing I have learned from being a granma is that you get a different view of your children.

They are now parents and though you could tell them a thousand better ways of doing this and that you surprisingly remain SILENT.'

Usually it is due to a MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS QUIP perhaps, or, maybe a LET THEM LEARN IT ON THEIR OWN.

Whatever the style of grandparenting we have adopted I know for sure nothing is written in stone in life except for this Granma's unconditional love.

Having said that I must say,WAIT TILL YOU HAVE CHILDREN OF YOUR OWN has resonated in my ears from my very first baby's cry to this day!!!!

I love being Granma!!!!!

BLOOD IS NOT THICKER THAN LIVING WATER

2014-02-10T07:16:00.003-08:00

FAMILY IS NOT NECESSARILY BLOODLINES BUT HERE IS A DIFFERENT TYPE
When I had my first baby people would say "Oh he looks like his dad or your granma or maybe even a distant relative whom I may have never met.
We try very hard to make sure we fit that new baby somewhere in the inheritance line of genetics and family ties.
Yet Jesus shows us a different way, a new ay to look at a family unit and it is without any human effort or blood.
"But as many as received Him, to them He gave power to become children of God, EVEN to them that believe on His name.

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, BUT OF GOD!!!!!! John 1:12,13

So we see that we do not look at a person in God's family by appearance, character or genetic dispositions.
And God does not either.
We are ALL made in His image and likeness(Genesis 1:27)
God instead is looking for those who have received His Son, whom He sent to us in His great mercy and love, to be His children, now and forever.
He gave us a deposit,if we understand that, which is the Holy Spirit, and, this is the bond which unites us all in His name.
Every single person who has accepted Jesus as God's Son and believes God has raised Him from the dead,is God's child and receives the Holy Spirit to guide he or she in all things of God.
If you an adopted child, foster, or had parents who just did not care for you properly, abused you or seemed distant, be comforted and assured that our heavenly Father loves you NO MATTER WHAT.
He has prepared a place for you in His kingdom and desires to bless you with all you need on this earth.

MY SISTER IN CHRIST LISA

2014-02-06T09:33:00.000-08:00

She is a sunshine ray
on a gloomy day..
yet she does not know how much she means to us!!!!!!

She will give her heart away
her love is as sure as the night after day
but for her to receive love is for us to pray that she knows it
that we love her

and He loves her

We do love you girl
though our distance is far
our prayers are near
though our lives are apart
we are one in Him
and all you have to do is rest in Him...................

YOU HAVE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SMILE EVER

Love love love
so we seem to have an easier time of loving some more than others?
Seems easier to defend cause of the poor and not the unborn?
A bit more complex when a gay couple asks for your acceptance than when a homeless person asks you for a dollar?
Love is unconditional
In Corinthians it says it must be
and it should have no conditions nor remmebrance of wrongs
Why when we want others love so much do we not get that we need to give it too
to EVERYONE
some people hate politicians
political parties
that is still hate
others focus on rights of people and get so caught up in their fight they lose sight of those right near them hurting close friends and family
we get so offended when others do not agree with us
Jesus denied no one His forgiveness
but He did not force anyone either to believe in Him
either you love all or love none
you cannot pick and choose
love the sinner not the sin
this can only be done through Jesus

Cat dish is empty, my lamp is broken, socks strewn all over the floor
this is life with cats
is a cool zero degrees F. outside with a lovely coat of snow on the ground
life is very good and simple
there is nowhere to go and nothing to be done in earnest
slow motion days
wonder why we all run about so much when we need to instead walk and slow the day down
things can change in a minute
a phone call a letter an event
I like the present tense moment am in now
hope it lingers a bit today with no thrills or frills

NEW JERSEY PEOPLE ARE SOOOOO PARANOID

2014-01-21T14:03:00.003-08:00

It is a snowy day in January here in Newton New Jersey.
Sometimes when it snows here people get all excited, run to the supermarket and stock up on everything imaginable.
There are literally longer lines before a forecasted storm than in the Christmas shopping season.
Candles, Flashlights, even generators seem to be in demand and lines at checkouts can be grueling, especially if you really just want a quart of milk or a box of soap.
I wonder how people get into such a panic over something that mught not even be as bad as was forecasted. What is wrong with everyone these days when we have to stock so much food to ensure we will survive over A FULL DAY????!!!!
Jesus told us to be anxious for nothing. He did say to be wise but wisdom alone dictates we need not run out for a month of food and water when we will only have a few inches of snow.
Sometimes I think about the wise and foolish virgins.
Those wise ones did have their lamps full, yes.
BUT THEY WERE GOING TO MEET THE BRIDEGROOM.
Why can't we be as ready as they for our Lord as we are for the storm ahead.
Seems to me the loaves and fishes story would be a bit more helpful for a storm of this small magnitude in January 2014 and we spend our time with family and in prayer rather than joining forces of the crazies in the supermarket storm watch.
Maybe I just want a parking space , is this what my rant is all about?
NEVER GO TO SHOP RITE BEFORE A STORM!!!!!!!
New Jersey people are afraid of their own snow shadow

2013-06-08T20:21:00.003-07:00

Some days are so hard to fill in
I wanna do this
and I do not
I wanna not do that
and I do
wonder what it is like to be always on the right road never turn off
maybe the gps I use is all wrong
I need a trade in
God ya got a good deal?

2013-04-03T07:07:00.000-07:00

PEOPLE ARE SICK
DYING
SUFFERING
THE SUN SHINES
SOMEWHERE PEOPLE ARE FALLING IN LOVE
MAKING NEW BEGINNINGS
SINGING NEW SONGS TO OUR GOD
THE SUN STILL SHINES
NO MATTER WHAT
IT SHINES
GOD IS THE SUN'S CREATOR
HIS LOVE IS BIGGER AND LONGER THAN THE SUN'S SHINING
HE IS THERE
NO

MATTER WHAT!!!!

2013-03-24T17:17:00.001-07:00

SO GOD HERE IT IS A WEIRD DAY
WITH WEIRD CHOICES
A CLEAN HOTEL ROOM
BETTER TEVEN STUDYING YOUR WORD NOW IS NOT AS ONCE IT WAS
THAN MOST PEOPLE LIVE IN ACCROSS THE SEA
CABLE TV NO LACK OF CHANNELS
BOOKS TO READ
PRAYERS TO PRAY
QUESTIONS TO ASK
AND I MISS EVERYTHING THAT WAS ONCE ME
WHERE DID ME GO?
THE EXCITEMENT I FELT AT A NEW DAY
THE WONDER OF JUST A NEW CRAFT OR HOBBY
THE DESIRE TO JUST LEARN SOMETHING NEW
MANY TIMES I WONDER WHY
WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME
WHERE AM I GOING
WHAT AM I DOING
IS THERE ANYTHING THAT IS SACRED
ANYTHING GOOD TO LOOK FORWARD TO
AND I FIND NO ANSWER
I GET NO ANSWER
THEY SAY GET CLOSE TO YOU
GET IN YOUR WORD
AND IT IS OK TO DO THAT
AND I STUDY A BIT PRAY A BIT
MEDITATE A BIT
BUT THERE IS NOT ENOUGH
IS THERE
OR WHAT ELSE NEED I DO?

POOP & SCOOP

2013-03-22T07:09:00.001-07:00

There is nothing more delightful than agreeing with your husband and daughter on the brand of cat litter used.
Sure it is nice to be bathing in Caribbean seas, sitting in bubbly jacuzzi jet baths, or even dining in a favorite locale, but, what gives you more pleasure than.............

SCOOPING OUT THE STINKIEST CAT LITTER IN GOD'S CREATION?!!!

I mean who ever thought of such a wonderful invention?
Why instead of enjoying my fifteen minutes of bliss in French Vanilla Cafe Heaven I so would rather spend it scooping and diggin in a box of putrid sand to find the latest offerings from my kitties.
It gives me the greatest pleasure to dig and dig and dig and even, yes scrape, till I uncover every last turdful if delight from the said and so called infamous non odorous cat clay!
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEW
As with every good sundae too there is that cherry on top the luscious cream, I get to clean the blasted scoop, which, by now, after digging and scraping like a miner looking for the last nugget of gold, is covered in all kinds of poop ridden clay with at least a good twenty paper towels worth of wiping and cups of bleach to rinse it all.

This is such a pleasant way to spend my morning!!
What ever happened to the good old litter that you dump in the bag, wash out the pan and start anew every day with?
This clumpy stuff smells just as bad the moment my cat visits her little latrine and leaves gifts abounding.
Thank you to all those of you who love to scoop and spend your time in the surrondings of a litter box haven
I would rather spend my morning in the prayer chair and perhaps a good book

After all I did my share of diapering ya know!!!!!

2013-03-20T21:38:00.000-07:00

Hi God itsa me again
I like it when I hear such good things about you
The messages sometimes are so good
but when I look back at some things I accomplished
and some that I worked at
they seem so bad
so trivial
and I wonder if they led to any good at all
its not an easy task to see what came out of something
what happens when you leave a job'or a city
things change
people move on
and the world becomes different
somehow
it is weird to see the past as an embaressment
and to be envious of what is now
i am not sure why I torture myself with this
it is beyond me
I suppose I want to know I did something good
but Lord as long as somehow it glorified you
hopefully it did

2013-03-07T18:49:00.001-08:00

lets see
what is now?
have i not been faithful to you
just once more turn this over
and wait
and see
what i do
this is my wish and desire
that you hope in me trust in me
and feed on ,my word
husband too
important indeed
for the day comes when the thief has filled his pot
and the old is thrown away
then i come
with haste
to burn his tail alive
to warn his demons away
to fasten the belt of truth in safety around your waist
and turn the time of your heart to me in
view
i can be still
i can be strong i can be happy giving you glory
all day long
i can be weak in the midst of the tide
i can see through
with you at my side
ever is i weary
ever am i grown
failin and passing
the tests on my own
giving you glory
as no man has done
filing your word in
with colors oflove

healing comes flowing
with colors of grace
hasten to fill up
with Spirits embrace
gaining His spirit
more in His form, His
face and His likeness
all filling me up

glowing contentment
in life's journey's blest
more of His story
is weighed on my chest
lightness and mercy
all flow from his throne
drowning my sorrow
washing my bones
cleansing my body
within and the out
firmly established
and weeding out doubt
happy in trials
which grow my bouquet
giving to others
the sweetness this day

that is how Jesus
is healing me now
washing my bile's stream
and filling me white
perectly planting
a new body grown
formed to His likeness
with cells of my own

2013-03-07T18:35:00.001-08:00

Rainy days welcoe spring..............
and God made one today!!!
birds outside are aquawking up a storm, sounds like crows....
and everything else is calm as if there is not a thing exciting happening
but there is
because God's word says we are given the beasts of the field all the earth
to be under our feet
it also says He made us a little lower than the heavenly beings
just a little lower
just a teensy bit
wow
that is very exciting news

2013-02-06T13:29:00.001-08:00

I can imagine the seamstress angels preparing our heavenly white robes right now.

what a busy place the heavenly fitting room must be!

stitching, hemming and pressing, gathering and sorting, and ONE SIZE FITES ALL.

I am not inclined to think we will have a size in heaven.

Then the moment when we can put on that robe and walk with Jesus forever.

I have placed my order,me, my family, friends and for you too!

hope you consider joining us for an eternal banquet with the One who created us and died so we can be with Him forever!

All you have to do is:
"BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS AND YOU WILL BE SAVED" acts 16:31

2013-02-04T06:22:00.002-08:00

Groundhog Day has come and gone, and, now we can turn our minds and efforts onto other pressing news such as what color dress some actress somewhere will wear or how the Super Bowl commercials measured up.
It seems that whatever may be the frontline event at the time, from a groundhog made weather specialist, to puppies running amuck on a mini football field, people, like sheep, will turn EVERYWHERE but to God for answers.
We look to that little rodent for a forecast but not to God for His plan for our future, even for this day.
I have nothing against groundhogs, they are cute little rodents and won my heart as they ran together playfully and ate up my garden!!!!
And I know Groundhog Day is just silly and a fable but it displayed to me the way people like sheep run this way and that without a shepherd

However when we look to this thing or that thing for our lives we become, as Jesus said, sheep without a shepherd.
People seem to run here and there for all the answers instead of to the One who has all the answers and can give us eternal life. His name is Jesus.

Our cat loves to do what we do!

So of course Bible Trivia was right up his alley

However he did not fare so good in answering the questions but majored well in pusshing our tokens over with finesse and ease

Its all in the movement of the paw!!!!

For me playing a board game with hubby was quite a treat

usually evenings are spent in movie indulgences with much popcorn or games on our laptops

Boardmes have a way of making you look at your mate in a new way

Hey you're cheating

or maybe

lighten up is only a game

In the end I wanted him to win(secretly) so he would feel good about winning something(hee hee)

But once in while take out a board game

you will not be BORED!!!!!!
