Hummer H1

The first vehicle in the Hummer range was the Hummer H1, based on the Humvee. Originally released in 1992, this vehicle was designed by American Motors' AM General subsidiary for the U.S. Military. Five years previously, AMC had been bought by Chrysler.

As Volkswagen reports, the Beetle Dune Concept hints at a potential Cross version of the Beetle model and features a near-production design.

Focused on leisure activities and in particular on winter sports, the concept has a body raised by 50 mm and integrates a pair of skis at the rear.

In the Beetle Dune, Volkswagen is revisiting an idea that was born in January 2000 with the New Beetle Dune presented in Los Angeles.

The powertrain of the new Dune Concept features a 210 PS turbocharged gasoline engine coupled with a 6-speed DSG transmission – both from the production line-up.

The power is transferred to the front wheels and all-terrain performances are enabled by the suspension layout, with a front MacPherson suspension and a four-link system at the rear, combined by the electronic XDS differential lock.

At the 2014 Beijing Auto Show BMW has presented the Vision Future Luxury, a show car that explores new ideas for luxury vehicles and previews a possible future flagship model.

The design of Vision Future Luxury Concept appears to be an evolution of the Gran Lusso Coupé Concept developed in partnership with Pininfarina and unveiled at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2013: while the new show car has different lines and details, the overall exterior approach and surface treatment shows many common elements.

Among these are some of the character-defining lines – like the sharp shoulder line; the 3D front grille; the thin-shaped headlights and tail lights which respectively adopt Laserlight and OLED technology; the 5-spoke wheels with their intricate shapes; the overall stance.

The Geneva Motor Show brought one more reveal late in the Western night. The official name? Well, as you can see above, the latest Bugatti Veyron Special Edition is the most Mustang-like special edition ever.

Okay, so we kid. This 'chop was created for Freaking News, but we find it to be somewhat ironic considering all of the official and unofficial 'special edition' Veyrons that have been released over the past few years. We thought Ford owned the "No Special Edition Left Behind" moniker, but we are slowly learning that we were wrong. So wrong.

Since bicycles work pretty flawlessly as it is, you might wonder just why we need crazy modifications like spokeless wheels and the ability to ride sideways. Innovation never ceases, and as a result we’ve been treated to a wild assortment of ideas from giant amphibious contraptions to bikes that fold up into backpacks. Some of these 15 concept bikes address issues like cost, portability and adaptability and others are just plain strange.

You’d definitely give this thing a second look if you saw it gliding down the street past you… and straight into a lake. The Di-Cycle concept bicycle is amphibious and was designed specifically for the Dutch city of Helmond to allow residents a smooth transition between land and water travel. Holland would have to construct entire parking garages for these gargantuan things if they were to actually catch on.

Riding a bike facing forward is boring. Or at least, so says Michael Killian, the software engineer who decided that what the world needs is a sideways bicycle that uses the same body movements as a snowboard. It has a unicycle seat and little handlebars on either side. It’s not for everyone – Killian says only 6 out of 10 people are able to master it.

The exclusive BMW motorcycle dealership, located at 417 Hudiburg Circle C (just off Interstate 40), offers a complete line of BMW motorcycles, parts, accessories, apparel and service capabilities in a newly built 7,000 square-foot retail facility. A grand opening celebration is planned Saturday, June 21.

The Seat Ibiza Cupster is characterized by the low, wrap-around windscreen, the shallow, triangular shaped DLO graphics and the complete absence of a top. All this results into a low, sporty stance, enhanced by the 18-inch wheels.

The basis is provided by the Ibiza Cupra, with its 132 kW / 180 PS TSI engine and DSG dual-clutch transmission.

While the body shell is largely the same as that of the series-production model up to the shoulder line, everything above has been specifically redesigned.

The driver and co-driver are protected from the airflows thanks to the seating position, which is 80 millimetres lower than in the series-production car

The Seat Ibiza Cupster is painted in “New Orange”, a paintwork formulated specifically for the car. The dark grey cover behind the classic double-bubble style seats looks almost like an island in this sea of bright orange.

The interior is purist and based on the Ibiza race cars from the Ibiza Trophy run in several European countries.

Among the features are the minimalist instrumentations, black Alcantara upholstery, low-slung racing bucket seats and a steering wheel clad with a special leather – pure aniline leather is coloured all the way through, without a layer of pigment, making it open-pored, very supple and pleasant to the touch.
