Day Time Smokey Look (pink and purple)

Day time smokey eyes

Step by step tutorial.

1.I am first taking the flesh coloured cream eyeshadow from Revlon Illuminance creme eyeshadow palette in Pink Petals & applying on the eyelids.

2.Then I'm taking the pink colour eyeshadow from Lakme Silk Route quad and applying that on the lids without crossing the crease

3.Then I am again taking the silvery charcoal colour of the same palette and applying it on the outer V and and crease area

4.Next I am taking a frosty purple colour from the Rhomlon palette and applying on the silvery charcoal e/s(applied before) and blending it well

5.Then taking a medium beige colour eyeshadow, I am blending out the edges of purple and also applying on the brow bone to highlight

6.Then I am applying a black kajal on the waterline

7.Then lining my upperlashline with a Lakme black liquid liner

8.Finally applying 2-3 coats of The Color Workshop black mascara

And we are done !!!!!

Cool nail art for hot summer day…. Beat the heat with lots of water, fresh fruits and cool summery watermelon nail art…

Things required:

Step 1: Apply the base coat and red nail enamel.

Step 2: With green nail paint make French tip.

Step 3: With the help of a thin brush (I used old eyeliner brush) draw white line to differentiate green and red nail paint.

Step 4: Draw the dots of black color (as seeds) with the help of toothpick.

Step 5: Apply top coat.
Step 6: Clean the extra nail polish around the nail with the help of Q-tip.
Finish and Enjoy……….

A day in my life ~ Dilli Haat (picture heavy)

Delhi is getting hotter and hotter, am scared this time we'll have longer summers, i really can't stand hot weather, so few days back when the weather was still enjoyable we went to Dilli Haat which used to be our favorite place during college days.
Every time i visit this place i think of clicking picture to share with you all but i get so engrossed looking at all the beautiful and bright coloured handicrafts that i don't even remember to take my cam out of my bag , hehehe

This time i captured some beauty of this place , hope you all enjoy watching it :)

I picked a similar letter/ magazine holder from a Kashmiri stall ( to keep my frequently used palettes) , who have been in this business for ages, we spent more than an hour chit chatting with the owner, i just adored his passion and enthusiasm for this work and art , its little weird for us to talk for that long to someone unknown but we three kinda clicked.. i still feel little weird.
anyways after we picked few items from his shop he insisted to draw a Kashmiri Bird on Almond tree on my hand, it would have sounded rude if i said no.. :P so here the kashmiri bird :P

I Got LOVE ... and CUPCAKES

Hello Everyone,
am really excited to share some makeup goodies that i got from a friend from overseas, she's also an Indian and within a very short span of time we built a very special sisterly bond , its really great how we meet strangers over the net and develop a liking for each other as if we have known each other for like ages.

The first thing i got was a 28 colour eyeshadow palette which sadly came broken, which at first i thought i won't tell Simran di (who sent me the gifts) as i was overwhelmed by her love but she got that from her hard earned money so i told her about it and she contacted the ebay seller, i dont know much about the conversation they had but within few days i got another same palette in perfect condition. YEPPY !!!
But now i have two same palettes (lets see who gets lucky to get the other one :p)

I also got three lovely cupcake lip glosses, they are the cutest thing in my vanity , Yummy !!

Ready with another post for delicious SUNDAY BRUNCH…. I made this especially for my BABY HARDIK ….just to attract him towards the food. You can also try this for your little ones…

Aalookisabzi

Ingredients:
500 gms: Boiled and mashed potatoes
1 Chopped onion
2 Chopped tomatoes
1 Green chilly
½ tsp Coriander powder
½ tspGaram masala
¼ Haldi
½ tspZeera powder
Salt according to taste..
¼ tspSarson seeds
Few curry leaves
A pinch of hing

Method:

1. Heat oil in a kadai,add sarsonke seeds, curry leaves, hing …..When seeds splitter add chopped onion, bhuno till light pink.
2. Add tomatoes and green chilly bhuno till oil separates.
3. Add all dry masalas…. Bhuno
4. Add water; bring it to boil ……keep stirring in between.
5. Cook till required consistency.
6. Garnish with chopped coriander.

Rangeenpuris:

Ingredients:
½ cup boiled and pureed beetroot
½ cup boiled and pureed spinach (palak)
3 cups Atta (flour)
½ tspajwain, salt according to taste….
Little ghee to make dough…
Oil for frying

Method:

1. Make green dough by mixing palak puree with 1 cup atta, pinch ajwain, salt and ghee.
2. Make red dough by mixing beetroot puree with 1 cup atta, pinch ajwain, salt and ghee.
3. Make normal puri dough with 1 cup atta, pinch ajwain, salt and ghee.
4. Make small balls of all the dough ….. Roll each into small puris.
5. Deep fry.
6. Your red, green and white puris are ready….
7. Serve hot with aaloo ki sabzi and aam kaa chaar.

So, finally the day which most of the couples wait for is just few hours away, am sure you all must have made your plans, decided your dress, makeup, presents ... and everything else ..
For some reasons or the other we never got a chance to celebrate our V'day as we wanted, may it be due to his studies or one of us being out of station :( , but we are really looking forward for this V'day, but what should i wear ? how will i keep my hair ? where will we go ? ahh... all these questions are revolving in my head while am waiting for my hair colour to develop.. hehehe (yess... i have coloured my hair, will let you know how it turned out in the next post :) )

So here is the look i did for Valentine's day, its not a day time look but perfect for dinner date. ;)

For Day time makeup , just stick to light shades, neutral shades works the best when you are meeting guys.Just Avoid MUDDY and Dark shades, but if you are good at makeup and can beautiful carry off such shades then just don't listen to me :P

The Weather is really insane in Delhi these days, one day its all sunny and bright and on the other days its freezing cold, this weather is taking a toll on my skin , I have never experienced such dry and dull skin. But these conditions helped me in analyzing Liz Earle’s products and few other skin care products that I have been using, out of which I have to substitute many.

My Experience :
As i mentioned earlier this is so far the best exfoliator i have tried , i don't need/use too many products through out the year but my skin needs extra care during extreme climate condition , i usually use this exfoliator in the morning before applying my foundation and makeup as i noticed that my foundation works better on even and clean skin, it even removes skin flakes off my cheeks.
Few things i like

It doesn't make my skin dry after washing it off , instead it leaves my skin hydrated and soft
It comes with a pump, which is the best hygienic way take out the product
Makes my skin smooth and clear
The tiny particles are very gentle i dint get any redness after use.

On the other side :

Am not use if it will work wonders for oily skin, although the company claims that its suitable for all skin type
NOT recommended for Sensitive skin.

Hi All,
Ready with a new post after such a long time….was so busy with the baby and family. As my baby is so small that I keep trying new recipes with him …this time I tried something new …..Learnt from a TV serial. I really liked the recipe so I decided to share with you all …..
Yummy Mini Chicken Kababs

Ingredients:
2 chicken breast (cut into big square cubes)
1 green bell pepper (cut into big square cubes)
1 tomato (cut into big square cubes)
1 onion (cut into big square cubes)
For marination :
4-5 tbsp. olive oil
1tbsp oregano (easily available with pizza shops ...extra you can store for future use)
1tsp chilli flakes
Salt (acc.to taste)
¼ tsp. Black pepper powder
1 ½ tbsp. lime juice
1 tbsp. ginger / garlic paste
Method:
• Mix all the ingredients of marination mentioned above very nicely.
• Then add chicken , tomato , bell pepper and onion in it.
• Marinate chicken pieces, onion, tomato and bell pepper in the above mixture for 1-2 hrs.

• Take a toothpick and skew chicken piece into it then capsicum, then tomato and onion …….
• Like this keep making small small portion of tikkas.

• Take a non-stick pan …add oil into it.
• Once oil is heated nicely… add all the tikas pieces into it …..Keep cooking on low flame till they are nicely cooked from all the sides.
• Serve hot with onion rings and pudina chutney….

A warm welcome to all those who stopped by this post, am going through mixed emotions while writing this post, a part of me is really emotional and happy after reading all the mails and messages that I received from people who were concerned about me and are waiting for new looks and reviews and a part of me is guilty for not being able to update my blog frequently.

The Deos are reviewed by my bf,so lets see what he has to say about them..
We got to try 3 fragrances : Invisible Ice , Ice Cool and Quantum.

according to him....

Ice Cool ~ Perfect balance of excellent fragrance & long lasting protection (48h)...i liked it the most!!!

Quantum ~ This one also offers a 48h protection...has a much punchier fragrance though...good choice for summers as it has that citrucy-fruity fragrance...

Invisible Ice ~ A milder variant...has a mild icy fragrance & offers protection upto 24h...although i found it much less than that & the frag. is much too mild , atleast for me...

My Take ~ "Ice Cool"...i found it the Best...Superb fragrance & solid protection...an all weather choice...

I really admire the locking system of the cans, decently priced for the the quantity they offer. The product really stands for what it says... No paseena... :) (except for Invisible ice, which was way too mild and less effective than the other variants )

My cousin brother just got married and i badly wanted to wear lashes for his wedding but due to all the rush and chaos I dint get time to wear falsies… hehehe

Zara Opens its First Store in South India at Bangalore, Karnataka
Bangalore, 3rd November 2011: Zara, the fashion concept owned by Inditex Group, opens its first store in South India at Bangalore. The store spread over 17,779 square feet, is located at Whitefield, Bangalore.
This store will offer international fashion to customers looking for trendy and fashionable products at attractive prices. Zara will feature its wide range of collection for men, women, children, teenagers and kids.

Hope you all had great time during Diwali … I am ready with another post …Hope you all will like it.
The other day I went to buy my Pond’s age miracle and there was a scheme going on...Buy two at a price of 499/- and you save 295/-.

You people already read the review of pond’s age miracle but I am posting my review on Pond’s dual eye therapie cream ….

POND’S DUAL EYE THERAPIE:
First time I have seen two colors of cream like strawberry and vanilla ice cream in one jar…

Pink eye cream is known as UPPER EYE COLLAGEN CREAM which helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles….It should be applied on the lids.
The white eye cream is known as UNDER EYE BRIGHTENING CREAM … which helps to reduce dark circles and puffiness around the eyes …

I noticed that pink one is absorbed by lids very well and will give you smooth effect whereas white one is creamier so it is bit greasy…I do massage with the creams for 1-2 mins. After applying cream I noticed that my eyes start itching and watery (may be because of chemicals present in the cream). Just apply it and go to bed …..
I am applying this cream from last 10 days but I didn’t notice any difference.
Will I repurchase it ? NO….I am not fond of any eye cream. This I got it in scheme so I bought it otherwise I will not buy the product ….Not worth buying …

Diwali Makeup to match with any dress - Requested

I wanted to do a Diwali look , but i felt gold / bronze and green is the most common combination, so i kept thinking and came to no conclusion :P until someone requested me to do look using copper , light pink and brown .
Here is what i did :P

I'l keep the post really short and simple, because i know everyone must be busy with cleaning and deacoration :P... oohh... i forgot to wish you all a very HAPPY CHOTI DIWALI :P ...

Tutorial

Step :

After priming my lids i applied a peachy copper shade on my lids and little soft pink on my inner corner
I applied creamy Latte on my crease and and blended it with little bit of Pink eyeshadow, same shade that i applied in the inner corner
To make my crease more intense and deep i applied dark brown eyeshadow on top of the creamy latte eyeshadow
Applied brown eyeshadow on my lower lash line, applied my linner and mascara !!

The Look is Done !!
