Mimi Punches 'Steebie J' over a Joseline Joke [VIDEO]

2012-08-09T16:30:00.002-07:00

It seems as if ol' Steebie J has become quite the punching bag lately. In this past week's episode of 'Love & Hip Hop,' Joseline seemed a bit startled by Stevie's lies regarding Mimi and .. as Scrappy would say .. 'put dem' paws on em.' After being handled my Jose .. Joseline .. and then having to walk home, you would think he'd had enough.

Frank Ocean Confirms Rumors In 'Thank You's' on Tumblr

2012-07-03T22:23:00.000-07:00

Lately the Twitter & blog rumor mill has been buzzing with insinuations that Frank Ocean has decided to become openly bisexual on his next album, with several references to "he" and "him" on various 'love' songs included on Channel Orange. Although Frank has kept quiet, tonight he released a few tumblr posts in a sense, confirming the rumors. Frank writes:

BasedGod was right
we’re all a bunch of golden million dollar babies. my hope is that the babies born these days will inherit less of the bullshit than we did. anyhow, what i’m about to post is for anyone who cares to read. it was intended to fill the thank you’s section in my album credits, but with all the rumors going round.. i figured it’d be good to clarify..

Now, whether or not this will help or hurt his album sales, we'll just have to wait and see ..

King of Diamonds Reality Show: 'Make It Rain' [TRAILER]

2012-07-02T15:43:00.000-07:00

I suppose there's always room for one more reality show and Miami strip club 'King of Diamonds' is working on squeezing its way into the mix. Terry Elliot, who owns the establishment, has shopped this reality show around to various networks and is said to have been picked up by a major one that is not VH1 or BET. The show would display the behind the scenes footage and drama between the dancers, much similar to HBO's 'Cathouse,' which documented brothels. A synopsis of the show states,

“This is the story… The story of the money, the girls, the people, the fame and the love. Taking a page from HBO’s hit series CATHOUSE, and FULL THROTTLE, MAKE IT RAIN will be an amalgamation of docu-drama and sexuality, but at the very heart of the piece is a real story. [Owner] Terry managing a thriving business and juggling his other business ventures. At the same time, being a father figure to his employees, giving advice, coaching, paternally guiding some of the girls, making sure that his team of managers (the four horse men) and his self are on the same page, keeping his “A” list celebs clients, music entertainers and athletes happy…and doing all of this as a happily married man with a family of his own!”

Katy Perry's High Fashion Spread in 'Vogue Italia'

2012-07-02T09:40:00.000-07:00

To call Katy Perry predictable would be foolish as we can see by her high-fashion spread in the July issue of Vogue Italia. Perry is styled in very futuristic, mod-inspired clothing, wearing a platinum blonde and pink bob, accentuated by striking black and pale pinks standing out against the green background.

In my favorite photo above, Katy is shown gasping against the wall with what appears to be a leather collar dripping with jewels. Most noticeable about the photo is her very intense eye makeup, which includes a thick lined cat-eye, lined above and below her eyelids, as well as two sets of lashes, on the top and bottom.

Go Katy! Enjoy the rest of the looks below.

Anderson Cooper: 'I'm Gay. Always have been. Always will be."

2012-07-02T08:55:00.001-07:00

As if we didn't already know, Anderson Cooper finally sat down with his good friend, writer Andrew Sullivan, and did an open interview for The Daily Beast. When asked about his sexuality which he has been a able to keep private for years, Cooper openly and honestly responded. The topic stemmed from Sullivan asking Cooper how he felt about an Entertainment Weekly story that focused on how gays in public life come out in a more restrained way than past announcements. With his response to this question confirming his sexuality, Cooper gave Sullivan permission to print the article. His response,

"The fact is, I'm gay, always have been, always will be, and I couldn't be any more happy, comfortable with myself, and proud.

"I have always been very open and honest about this part of my life with my friends, my family, and my colleagues. In a perfect world, I don't think it's anyone else's business, but I do think there is value in standing up and being counted. I'm not an activist, but I am a human being and I don't give that up by being a journalist."

"In my opinion, the ability to love another person is one of God's greatest gifts, and I thank God every day for enabling me to give and share love with the people in my life. I appreciate your asking me to weigh in on this, and I would be happy for you to share my thoughts with your readers. I still consider myself a reserved person and I hope this doesn't mean an end to a small amount of personal space. But I do think visibility is important, more important than preserving my reporter's shield of privacy."

BET Awards '12: Performances You May Have Missed

2012-07-02T08:23:00.001-07:00

Besides the sound glitches and the skills of whoever was working the censor buzzer last night, the BET Awards were surprisingly a bit better than expected. They should have been coined the "Beyonce' Awards" with the way that the cameras kept panning to her and her entourage on the first row, but seeing as though the Carter clan never attend, let alone speak at these functions, I'll let BET bask in their glory. Below are a few of the performances you may have missed or may want to view again, including Nicki Minaj, G.O.O.D. Music, D' Angelo, Melanie Fiona, Usher, Chris Brown, and the Whitney Houston tribute.

Which set was your personal favorite? Which was the worst? Chime in after the videos below.

Mint Swim | @DrayaFace's Swimwear Line Makes a Splash

2012-07-01T11:55:00.000-07:00

Draya has always been one of my favorites and my love for her grew even more when she was casted for Basketball Wives. One stereotype people often have, however, is that a pretty face is just .. well, a pretty face. Draya, who has graced the pages of several magazine and appeared in plenty of videos set out to prove that there was much more to her than looks.

'Mint Swim,' Draya's new swimwear line which was mentioned while on Basketball Wives features a limited edition collection of bikini's ranging in different prices, styles, and fits.

For more information and purchasing, you can visit the Mint Swim website at, http://www.mint-swim.com.

Being a broke college student, hopefully I'll be able to get one, soon.

New Music: Chris Brown's Drake Diss, 'I Don't Like'

2012-06-30T12:43:00.004-07:00

“A fuck ni**a, that’s that shit I don’t like/ They throwin’ bottles, I’m throwin’ models just ’cause I give a bitch long pipe,” raps Breezy. “I be singin’, he be singin’, so it’s on, fight/ But hold up, I ain’t give a ni**a no green light/ This head up, my bread up, one on one, what you scared, bruh?/ Matter fact, take care bruh, you a pu**y ni**a/ My ni**a Tunechi, yeah that ni**a nice/ Shout out to Nicki, man, that ass tight/ Them eyebrows, man, them shits is yikes/ OVO, you overdosed, screamin’ YOLO no, I live twice.”

Well, if you thought the Chris Brown vs. Drake beef was over, I guess you were just as wrong as I was. Chris Brown has released his own spin on "I Don't Like". Commenting on throwing bottles, fucking models, Nicki's ass, Tunechi's "niceness," and Drake's eyebrows .. Chris Brown decided not to do the whole "subliminal lyrics" path, I suppose. I'm not really sure how I feel about this track yet.

It may just be time for Chris to .. grow up? Eh. Post your thoughts after listening to the track below.
