If so, you may want to pace this software up. Most computers are not set up to run from optimum speed. That's because they come with many features installed that not just about all users even require. To help you out, the following strategies will show you how to make Windows 7 run faster than ever. Including numerous programs iTunes, QuickTime, and Java to name a few. Usually, you do not make use of all of these programs simultaneously so it makes no sense for them to start automatically. The car starting programs can be simply halted by going to the "msconfig" section of your computer. Just uncheck the ones you won't want to start. You can, obviously, still open these programs anytime you require them. Windows 7 will fill much more quickly now because you have handicapped these auto launching programs.

Sometimes Windows 7 wont' be running as well as it may be because your computer really doesn't meet the hardware requirements it needs to run this specific operating system. This may be the case for those who have an older computer and also upgraded to Windows 7 from the previous operating system. If Windows 7 had been pre-installed into the computer that you have bought, this isn't likely to be applicable to you. To operate Windows 7, your computer needs to have a minimum of a 1GHZ processor, Sixteen GB of available drive space and 1GB of memory. Even if your computer does have enough memory to run Windows 7, it will run better if you increase the memory. This means that even though it can run on just a GB of memory, when you upgrade to 2GB associated with memory, you'll help it to run a heck of the lot faster.

A registry cleaner is a program that will check out your registry for errors and will fix any problem that it finds automatically. This is not something you should only do one time; you should do this on a regular basis because you have no idea what kind of new troubles are going to turn up. If you are using your computer every day and you want to get the very best overall performance from it, you need to thoroughly clean your registry at least one time a week. There are a lot of excellent registry cleaners that will get the job done which is one of the best steps you can take if you want Windows 7 to run quicker.

Windows 7 provides you with a large number of fonts, many of which you'll probably never use. With more than 125 fonts, there are lots of to choose from, most of which are never used by anyone. The fonts can in fact cause software programs in order to stall like Microsoft Word for Windows. Computers with a lot of fonts simply may load slower, even reboot slower since they're on the system. Extra fonts are usually additional by people who do not realize that it will slow the pc down. You can improve your computer's trunk time and performance tend to be removing these fonts from your system. Windows programs that use particular print styles will definitely use some of these so don't remove them all. It is important that you do not remove print styles that you use on a regular basis. You can pace your Windows 7 OS up dramatically by following these suggestions. Fortunately, this particular operating system is quite fast to begin with, so if your computer is running slow, there are probably some simple steps you can take to speed up. Don't be afraid to get rid of files and applications that you don't use. Your computer ought to be running faster if you implement the suggestions offered in this writing.

For additional help get in touch with Atlanta IT support.

Unused Programs - Could They Be To Blame For Your Computer Slowing Down?

by Kevin Owens

Isn't it funny how one day your computer can be running
smoothly and then in a few months it can slow down to the
point where you just want to throw it out the window? The
real question is - exactly why did it slow down? Well the
answer isn't clear cut and easy to digest but most of it has
to deal with how the operating system of your computer
works. Most Windows based operating systems are designed to
work as efficiently as possible, but that unfortunately
isn't the case in real life. What happens is that after time
your computer starts to build up junk in many different
areas and this is what slows it down (for the most part).
All you need to do to make it faster is to remove the junk.
The only problem is finding all of the areas that the junk
builds up and also removing it.

So where are all of the areas that junk builds up on your
computer? Well that is beyond the scope of this article, but
what I can do is I can show you were to start. Most people
after using their computers for about a year or more have
downloaded multiple programs onto their computer that they
no longer need, but they have never actually bothered to
take the time to delete them. If some of these programs are
still installed, they are taking up hard drive space and
they could actually be running in the background when you
are using your computer. This means that they are using your
computers resources but you are not benefiting from them. By
removing these programs that you don't need anymore, you
will free your computer of some of its valuable resources
that you can then use.

Just to be on the safe side here, don't remove a program if
you don't know what it is or what it does - your computer
might actually be using it. Only remove a program if you
know what it is and if you know for sure that your computer
doesn't need it. Here's how you do it:

If you are a Windows XP user just start by clicking Start,
going to the Control Panel, clicking on the Add/Remove
Programs and then waiting a little while for the list to be
populated (if you have a lot of programs on your computer it
will take a while for all of them to appear). Now, just
remove the programs that you know you don't need by clicking
on the program and then selecting "Change/Remove". After
that you just have to go through with the process to remove
it.

For you Windows Vista user, start off by clicking the Start
button in the bottom left hand corner of the screen, click
on Control Panel and make sure that at the top left hand
corner of the window that you have "Classic View" selected.
Now just double click on the "Programs and Features" button
(give it some time to populate your list of currently
installed programs) and then just select the programs that
you don't need and at the top of the window select Uninstall
to remove them. Remember to to only remove programs if you
for 100% sure what they are and make sure that you don't
need them.

Using Registry Smart To Help Renew Your Registry

by Craig Burton

In our age and time, computers have become very essential in
every day tasks. However, computers aren't super machines
which do not encounter problems.

No matter, there are plenty of system utility tools which
are essential in keeping computers in good shape.

Whenever we use our computer to play games or download
different files, we usually set our computers up for
possible errors.

Whenever different programs are downloaded, we may also
download some malicious programs which corrupt our computer
registries.

How this to be solved then? Registry cleaners fix all those
corrupted files in our computer registries. There are so
many registry cleaners to choose from in the market right
now.

The development of different registry fixing software has
been such a huge business now. Included in the roster is
Registry Smart.

According to my experience with Registry Smart, I can say
that it is one of the better registry cleaning software
available online. For one reason, the scanning time does not
take at all a long time before it can come up with a list of
errors found in the database.

The average scan time of Registry Smart totals to 2 minutes
which makes the waiting time so much shorter.

Registry smart also removes along with the corrupted files
all those unnecessary files that have been retained in the
registries even after the program have been uninstalled.

Registry Smart can also fix different problems with regards
to windows installer, windows set up, internet explorer, DLL
and ActiveX files.

What is so important with having a registry cleaner which
works is that it negates all the problems that you get with
having a corrupted registry. For one, it allows your
computer to work faster even immediately after the scan and
it can also minimize or eliminate crashes that happen in a
computer.

I hope you enjoyed this post.
