How to Connect Facebook With Twitter

Facebook (stylized facebook) is a social networking service and website launched in February 2004, operated and privately owned by Facebook, Inc. As of January 2011, Facebook has more than 600 million active users.

Twitter Facebook Application
- Log in to your Twitter account.
- Navigate to the "Twitter Facebook" application (see Resources).
- Click on the "Install Twitter on Facebook" button at the bottom of the page.
- Fill in your Facebook information, if you are not already logged in.
- Click the "Allow" button to allow Twitter to access your Facebook profile information.
- Click the "Allow Twitter to post updates to: Facebook Profile" checkbox on the left side of the screen. All of your tweets will be visible as your Facebook status.
Selective Tweet Status
- Log in to your Facebook account.
- Navigate to the "Selective Tweet" application (see Resources).
- Type your Twitter user name in the text box on the left side of the screen.
- Click the "Save" button.
- Click the "Allow" button in the window that appears to allow the application to access your profile information.
- Type the characters "#fb" at the end of any tweet that you want posted to Facebook.
Facebook Page to Twitter
- Log in to your Facebook account.
- Navigate to the "Facebook to Twitter" application (see Resources).
- Click the "Link a Page to Twitter" button at the bottom of the screen.
- Click the "Link to Twitter" button after the page name that you want to link. All of the status updates to the page will be visible on Twitter.

Import Yahoo! Contacts to Twitter

Type "http://twitter.com" in your address bar, click "Enter" and sign in to your Twitter account.
Click "Find People" in the upper-right menu bar and click the "Find Friends" tab on the following page.
Click "Yahoo" under the "Find Your Contacts From" menu on the left-hand side of the page, type in your Yahoo! login and click "Find Friends." A list of all of your Facebook friends that were imported into your Yahoo! email account will be displayed.
Click "Follow" or "Send Request" for all Facebook friends you wish to follow.

If you want to use Facebook chat but don’t want some people to see your online status? Simply open up the Facebook Chat and click on Friends List. Start creating a new list called BlockList.

Once the list is created, add those friends to the list that you want to appear offline to. When the list is complete, hover your mouse to the little green icon adjacent to the list and click Go Offline. ! You will now appear offline to everybody in the BlockList.

Unlike MySpace you can’t directly embed videos from YouTube. The only option you have with Facebook is to use the Video application in order to upload your videos (stored in your PC, transfer them from your mobile phone or record them directly) to your profile. Most popular formats (avi, mpeg, mpg, flv, wmv etc’) are supported. To insert a video into your profile follow the directions provided below:
1. Login to Facebook.com.
2. Under your Applications click Video.
3. If you don’t have the Video application, you will have to click the Application button. Then search for the word ?video.? Then click on video, and on the video page click Add video to your Facebook account.
4. Now that you are in the Video application you are free to upload videos.

the Facebook account deletion process is straightforward. All you need to do is simply, login to your Facebook account, then click Account and from the Deactivate section choose Deactivate.
That was easy, isn’t it? The only caveat is that Facebook won’t actually wipe out your account but just keep it inactive. Therefore if you want to permanently delete your account, you should manually do the following:

Delete your photo
Delete Comments and messages you wrote
Delete your friends from your friends list.
Leave all your networks and groups you have joined.
Delete all your photo albums.

If you want to reactivate your account, just login to Facebook with your email and password. You’ll be then instructed on the procedure to follow in order to reactivate the account.

It’s very much important to understand and have proper security features enabled on the Social Networks. We provide all the personal information one way or the other in the social network, hence its very important to know and control the activities on these sites. If you notice some suspicious activity on your Facebook wall take some time to see if someone else is using your account with simple security check.

Go to Facebook.com -> Account -> Account Settings -> Account Security. Here you’ll see a list of all computers and mobile devices that have logged into your Facebook account and when. You may want to change your name on Facebook for several reasons. For instance, you got married recently and thus your last name (surname) changed. Or you have been using your nickname on Facebook till now and would now like to update it with your real name.

Log on to Facebook.
Once logged into Facebook, click the "Account" link in the top right corner of the page, and click "Account Settings" from the drop down menu.
Look for the "Name" section, click the "change" link, and enter the new information.
Click the Change Name button.

· You can not change your name to random stuff, like, say your name's Andy Gee and your nickname is Epic Gee: you can't use your nickname.

You can however change it to Andy 'Epic' Gee.
Remember that it can take Facebook Servers up to 24 hours to replicate changes, however this process typically take a matter of seconds
