Taking a walk in Corniche...

Nowadays it feels pretty good, going down the street, along the shores. The corniche which keeps growing and improving as the years go by, i do miss a few things like the old fountains that we used to run around as kids, but the expanding space, and separate lanes for bikes although not used much ;-) but still its nice to see.

With so much greenery, you just feel like taking a stroll, the beauty also being, who ever's designed it, not exactly sure but the municipality, has created these exercise zones for doing different types of workouts, makes u want to explore just how much different ways are there along the way.

The Indian team comes Home to a resounding welcome, with accolades being showered on them, and a ceremony to organized for them. Sachin gives an interview that he does not plan to retire(whew..) That's good news to hear, as always looking forward to many more great innings from him...

The next series begins on the 26th.. let's see how things work out

Indians Win..............!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Commonwealth Bank Series, it was down to the wire, in the end, the Autralians being bowled out, a well deserved win, it marks the end of Adam Gilchrist(or better known as Gilly) and Bradley Hogg's career, and a lot of special moments, inspiring performances, with the aussies trying their best, outstanding fielding all round.

It started with Tendulkar leading as the Senior player, leading by example, inspiring the youngsters, it was a surmounting performance, inspite of missing their strike bowler ishant sharma, the better side won in the end.

A beautiful find in the past two finals to note has been Praveen Kumar, who was also the man of the Match and Piyush Chawla leg spinner. It was a solid team performance. Notefully, both Tendulkar and Dhoni had been smarting injuries, and pulled through inspite of them.

It was a truly entertaining series, winning back to back series, both home and away for the Indians, it looks like the future looks bright for cricket in India.

India Elect to Bat

The second final is underway with India electing to bat, Ishant Sharma being rested. This is shaping up to be a pretty good contest. With India giong in with 2 spinners, and Aussies entering with none, quite the contrast in team thinking. Will we see another immaculate innings. Only time will tell

The exquisiteness with which his batting took control of the match was just a sight to see, it might be the first at that ground, and his first in australia, surprisingly considering his massive record, but it brings back memories of yester years and will remain a memory for us all in the years to come. A match winning innings, declared rightly as man of the match, we can only hope to see more and more of his master strokes in the matches to come...!

India now one up in the series thanks to his and a good team performance, Mahendra Singh Dhoni's captaincy is really blosoming, with his decissions bearing fruit as his players backing up his decisions(at first glance thought of unconventional) but proved beautifully wrong with solid performances.

Rohit Sharma a man to watch, another blosomming star on the horizon. The next match up on tuesday will be exciting to watch at Brisbane with India seeking to win a tri-series title for the first time ever in Australia.

The cricket finale is today and i cant help but think, this game has undergone a paradigm shift in what the game is about, these 3 months have been more of antics and off the field banter than the actual game being played. Gone are the days when it used to be called a Gentleman's game for the pleasing of all parties concerned. Nowadays its about who rubs whose nose in the dirt first.. (pardon the slander)

So here I am born from the land of the Nomads, it is not surprising that I turned into one myself! Started for a thing called college but ended up on the long winding path of life.
