LG Wing review: A unique flagship smartphone that still has me perplexed

These days, smartphones are fairly similar, from their designs to their performance and specifications. For example, most of your flagship Android devices all run the same Qualcomm CPU and Adreno GPU. They also all feature similar displays and build qualities. But the LG Wing is different.

Different. That’s a word I haven’t used to describe a flagship Android smartphone in a long time. I’m almost tempted to use the synonym offbeat instead of different. Offbeat works better because the LG Wing is so unusual. This oddity of a smartphone is still blowing my mind, and I’m still wrapping my head around its possibilities. Oddities aren’t always a bad thing, though, and the LG Wing stands proud and tall in its own weird way.

Design

Where do I even start with the design of the LG Wing? It’s really like nothing you’ve seen before yet has a familiarity to it that makes you comfortable. You wouldn’t even know you were holding something different if it weren’t for the slight added thickness.

The thickness isn’t overwhelming, but it is enough to notice that this isn’t like other smartphones. The phone is noticeably chunkier in hand, it’s not uncomfortable to hold, but you can feel the difference between it and even the LG Velvet.

The build quality is outstanding, and all of the materials used feel very premium. There’s no question that LG put only its best into this device. The entire device is made up of glass and metal; it’s really well made and deserved of being called a flagship smartphone.

You’ll find a microphone and the pop-up front-facing camera on the top of the LG Wing; more on that later. Along the right side, you’ll find the volume rocker and the power button. Along the left side is the SIM card tray, and along the bottom is the USB-C port, speaker, and another microphone.

Around the back, you’ll find a mirror finish that does attract fingerprints like mad, a commonality of smartphones. The triple camera is also located on the back and is branded “Hexa Motion Stabilizer.”

Finally, the front display isn’t that much different from other LG phones, except that it rotates to the left to reveal a smaller display below. With just a bit of a push on the LG Wing display, you’ll reveal that 3.9″ display below. The action is seamless and very easy to perform. The only concern I would have is dust and debris collecting in these areas over time. I guess only long term use will be the true test. It’s this part of the design that’s still blowing my mind. It’s fresh, new, and some may see it as a gimmick, but there are some real uses for this design choice.

Overall, the LG Wing design is something special with that rotating front display and smaller display underneath. But the design is also pretty standard and familiar, making it easy to get comfortable with. I do have a concern about fine dust and debris affecting the display and pop-up front camera. We won’t know for sure what this will be like until we hear long term use reviews.

Display(s)

The main display on the LG Wing is not unlike the displays you’ll find on other flagship LG phones. It is a 1080 x 2460 6.8″ panel with 395ppi and an 87% screen-to-body ratio. That screen-to-body isn’t nearly as high as other panels, but it’s not noticeable. The left and right bezels are slim, with the top and bottom slightly thicker but not crazy. I’m sure the lower ratio has to do with the main panel’s moveable nature and keeping the cost down since there is a second display.

Like any other LG display, the LG Wing main display is vibrant, colorful, punchy, and offers a brilliant color spectrum. This display is very similar to that of the LG Velvet and offers only a 60 Hz refresh rate, which may disappoint some spec-obsessed users.

The smaller 3.9″ display is also colorful and vibrant and offers a lower resolution. It’s fine, but certainly not groundbreaking in terms of display technology. Really, the star of the displays here is the ability to rotate the main display and have two displays being used at once.

So what is the rotating display good for on the LG Wing? Why would you want this phone? Well, let’s be real here, like other unique devices, the LG Wing doesn’t always play well with many apps. Many popular apps don’t format well to the landscape screen orientation and are sometimes unusable. So don’t jump into this expecting perfection; there is a price to pay for early adoption.

That being said, there is an odd satisfaction in rotating the display and feeling and hearing the mechanics work. There is no question that the LG Wing hardware was well thought out, and the build quality is stellar.

Some of the use cases for the LG Wing are obvious, such as the camera and utilizing the gimbal feature with that second display. Of course, there is gaming and video consumption, such as watching Disney+ or Hulu. You can also use the bigger display for documents and email while using the bottom display for texting or social messaging.

But as we mentioned before, many apps just don’t look that great in landscape and are really made to look best in portrait. Maps is one of those apps; while it works in landscape, it just doesn’t offer its best in that orientation. One saving grace is the ability to open an app before you flip the LG Wing display, then turning the main display back to portrait. This puts the smaller display on the side instead of the bottom.

I could go on for a long time discussing the displays and their function, or lack thereof. The bottom line is this. Both OLED displays are great looking displays, although some may scoff at the resolution and refresh rate. It’s the usefulness of the rotating display you will have to determine for yourself. For some, it will work out well; for others, not so much.

Software

There isn’t much to say about Android 10, it continues to improve, and OEM’s are doing a better job of making better UI’s. LG’s UI is much improved, and it looks great.

Our version of the LG Wing is a Verizon version, and there’s plenty of Verizon bloatware here, too much. As of this review, we understand that the Verizon version has an upcoming software update that is supposed to make the rotating display more functional with other apps.

One core software feature is the ability to open two apps at once on the two displays. This can be set up through settings in the display section. If you find you use two apps together frequently, you can have both those app icons on the screen ready to select, and they will open at the same time in dual screen mode.

Overall, the software is your run of the mill LG and Android software; it works well.

Performance

The Snapdragon 765G and Adreno 620 combo do an excellent job of pushing the LG Wing through most everything. The interesting thing is, the horsepower being used here is identical to that of the LG Velvet, but the performance experience is different.

With the LG Velvet, I experienced some lag and stutter in some apps; with the Wing, none of that seemed to be present. When opening apps on the Velvet, there seemed to be a slight pause before the screen responded. None of that was an issue on the Wing.

Basic functions all worked smoothly, scrolling, pinch-to-zoom, email, social media, documents, browsing photos, web browsing, and most of the day-to-day functions we all perform on the phone.

Gaming was good, and with games that support both displays, it’s fascinating. For example, the included Asphalt 9 Legends game uses the main display as your racing screen and then displays your map in the smaller display. It will be great to see more games take advantage of the dual displays giving gamers more information and making the gaming experience much better.

Overall, the performance felt stronger on the LG Wing than on the Velvet, with everything running very smoothly. This could also be due to the 8GB of RAM that this phone offers versus its cousin, the Velvet.

The speaker quality isn’t one of the LG Wing’s strong points here. The speaker is your basic smartphone speaker and isn’t great for movies or music. At least in the capacity of caring about sound quality.

Like many other smartphone speakers, it does excel in being used for calls and video chatting.

Camera

The cameras on the LG Wing are certainly an upgrade over its cousin, the Velvet. Here is what you’ll get in terms of specs on these cameras:

I’ll start with the 32MP front-facing camera, which is housed inside the frame of the Wing. When you choose the front camera, it will pop-up from the chassis in a smooth fashion. My only concern is dust and debris getting caught inside, but only time will tell.

The front camera delivers some good results and does an excellent job in good lighting; low light is acceptable but not stellar.

The three rear cameras also deliver great picture quality, especially in optimal lighting; low lighting is better than other LG phones, but the photos can get grainy when lighting is shallow. I think most photos in places like bars and ambient restaurants should come out fairly well.

Most users are going to point and shoot but for those who like the extras, there’s the usual array of options in the camera settings.

The one exciting feature of the LG Wing is the gimbal feature. When you have the screen flipped out, the camera will go into video/gimbal mode. The second screen has a virtual joystick allowing you to move the camera much like you would a gimbal. It’s a nifty little feature. The only downfall is that it is locked to a 1080p resolution, so you can’t use the gimbal in 4K mode.

Overall, the cameras are really good, although not as good as a true flagship device. There is room for improvement, but most users should be happy with the results.

Reception/Call Quality

Not much to cover here. Reception on Verizon has always been excellent in almost every area I am in. There are a few exceptions when we travel through less populated areas, but we always manage to at least have service. Call quality is also excellent.

Battery Life

The LG Wing has a 4,000mAh battery, which is 300mAh smaller than its cousin, the Velvet. The Wing also has a second display that will eat up more juice, and interestingly, it’s thicker than the Velvet.

Because of this, the Wing battery life isn’t as good as the Velvet, but I still managed to use it all day without charging. Of course, that’s with basic and normal use, no gaming or long YouTube runs.

If you plan on gaming on this phone for long stints, then you’ll probably need to keep it plugged in, or you’ll need to recharge at some point throughout the day. There is QuickCharge 4 for up to 28W adapter support, a plus for those who need to charge quickly.

Overall, the LG Wing does fine on battery life when being used for normal day-to-day things. Most people should get a full day unless the plan is to play hours of games or watch the LOTR extended versions on it.

Price/Value

The LG Wing isn’t cheap, but it’s also not unreasonable. Other devices that sport a gimmick like this tend to be outrageously expensive; the LG Wing will set you back INR 70,000

That’s basically the same price as most other flagship smartphones on the market. While the Wing doesn’t have flagship specs, it does offer a different experience that helps give it value to the right audience.

In nuclear power plants, radioactive uranium is split in a process called nuclear fission. When the atoms are split, heat is generated, and that heat then vaporizes water into steam that turns electricity-generating turbines.

Nuclear reactors generate heat from highly radioactive uranium rods. The rods are placed in blocks of graphite to control the heat flow and nuclear reactions. After years of absorbing nuclear radiation, the graphite blocks become highly radioactive as well. When nuclear power plants are decommissioned, they have to dispose of the graphite blocks.

The researchers realized they could heat the carbon blocks, which causes radioactive carbon to turn into a gas. This gas is then collected and compressed to form a diamond. This diamond has some cool properties. Because of its radioactive nature, it can generate a small electric current. This requires no moving parts or maintenance and can last for thousands of years without needing to be replaced.

Today, this nuclear contamination is safely stored away until it stops being radioactive…and with a half-life of 5,730 years, that takes quite a while. And storing is quite expensive also. It is estimated that every year over 100 billion dollars is spent globally for the storage and management the radioactive graphite waste.

The scientists found a way to heat the radioactive graphite to release most of the radioactivity in a gaseous form. The gas is subjected to high temperatures and low pressures that turn it into artificial diamonds that generate electricity.

These diamonds produce a small current that could last for thousands of years. Such long-lived "diamond batteries" could be used in spacecraft, implants such as pacemakers, and in other areas where long battery life is crucial.

There is another kind of diamond battery called the Nanodiamond battery. A Californian company NDB has done research on it. And as per estimates, it will be commercially available in another 5 years. The company claims the battery can run for 28,000 years on a single charge. According to The company, these diamond batteries find their application in smartphone batteries, car batteries, medical instruments like pacemakers, spacecraft, and might replace all other batteries.

The nanodiamond battery is a self-charging battery made by trapping carbon-14 nuclear waste in an artificial diamond-case. The battery works by generating electricity on its own from a shower of electrons as a result of radioactive decay scattered and deposited in the artificial diamond-case. But since these apps are designed for upgraded hardware, so when they are installed on phones with older hardware the phone starts to lag. This is the main reason for the phone to slow down. Similar things happen when we upgrade our OS.

The other reason is related to the phone's storage. When we buy a phone we start stuffing it with lots of photos, video, music, etc due to which it takes a bit longer access files from storage. I will give an example for you to understand this. Consider you have a notebook of some 50 pages. When only 10 pages are filled you can find the page you are looking for very easily. But when 40 pages are filled you will need more time to reach the wanted page. The same thing happens to your phone. Thus we see a lag.

Another big reason for the phone lagging is the battery. After 1 or 2 years of usage, the battery of your phone starts to heat very frequently. Speaking technically our phones have flash storage. These storages are fast and efficient. But the disadvantage of this storage is that it can be rewritten for a limited number of times. Flash storage can be overwritten up to 100,000 times. As the phone gets old its storage would have been overwritten many times. Some parts of the storage would have been overwritten 100,000 times. And when this storage reaches overwriting limit they cannot be used. Hence reducing available storage. And as a result, the phone becomes sluggish. But this phenomenon occurs usually after 3-4 years of use.

How to speed up phone?

The major reason for the phone to slow down over time is the updates of apps and OS. Well, we have no option for OS, we have to upgrade it as a very upgrade in OS improves the security of the device. Coming to the apps better uninstall the apps which you don't use. And don't upgrade system apps which you don't use. Every 3-4 months spend some time on your phone and clear all unwanted apps installed. And back up all your photos to the computer. This solution is quite simple but effective. Very recently a user had blamed that Mi had recorded his data when he was using incognito mode. Later Xiaomi accepted it. Many apps of Cheeta mobile was removed from Playstore by google for the ad frauds. This company is known for data leaks and misuse. Even if you download a simple flashlight application by cheetah mobile will ask permission for storage, camera, etc which are not needed by the application. And if you have ever used the UC browser you would have observed it asks permission for everything on your phone, it even asks permission to read text messages. Imagine the security of the OTPs that arrive at your phone having this installed.

These kinds of issues are common when we use Chinese apps. People across the globe have understood this and now they are boycotting Chinese goods. This is the best solution, this cannot happen immediately because most of our phone's hardware is manufactured there but yes over time it is possible. However, we have software in our hands which we can remove immediately. Intel agencies have released a list of 52 apps that are not safe. I Recommend you immediately uninstall them and alternatives of those apps, nothing is important than privacy and security so please uninstall those apps. It is expected that very soon the Indian government will ban these applications in India.

Moreover, our youth is wasting on apps like Tiktok, Vigo video, etc so they should definitely be uninstalled. And some of the apps were four to transfer data without encryption. For the people who don't know what is encryption, let me tell you Encryption is a process that encodes a message or file so that it can be only be read by certain people. Encryption uses an algorithm to scramble, or encrypt data, and then uses a key for the receiving party to unscramble, or decrypt, the information. And if data is not encrypted while transferring it elsewhere it can be accessed by any person.

How to know if apps steal data?

It is quite simple to know or at least guess if apps are stealing data. If the apps ask too many permissions than required which means something is fishy. For instance, you download a file manager app and it asks permissions of your locations, camera, microphone, etc it is obvious it is taking data from us. You can simply block permission which you feel is unnecessary for the app or you can simply uninstall it.

Frankly speaking yes Chinese apps steal data from our phones. You might think even google uses our data, but google asks our permission before using our data. In the case of Chinese apps, it steals data. Definitely, there is a difference between using our data and stealing. And just not stealing our data is mostly misused also. Therefore stay away from such apps.

In today's life, everyone has a smartphone some own flagships, some own iPhones, and some own budget smartphone. One common issue with them is the heating issue. And it is important to fix this issue as it affects the performance of the phone and battery life.

Why do phones heat up?

Before fixing the heating issue you must know why your phone is heating up. There are two components in the phone namely the processor(soc) and battery. If the top side of the phone is getting hot which means the processing is heating up and if the bottom side is heated then the battery is getting hot.

Speaking technically processor is a semiconductor device, and data is transferred, processed, or stored by the electrons. When electrons move they collide, lose energy, and lost energy is dissipated in the form of heat.

When we use heavy applications processor has to process more data which means more electrons will collide and hence more heat will be generated. And processor dissipates the heat through the back panel. And when you are using such heavy applications obviously battery usage will also increase due to which battery heats up. The battery also heats when the phone is on the charge.

How to fix the heating issue?

This issue must be fixed because it affects the performance of the phone. When phones heat up too much the phones undergo thermal throttling. Phones have sensors inside them which monitor the temperature increase if the phones up heat up too much these sensors pick the change and reduce processor performance to cool the system.

Some people might think they can cool the phone by keeping it in the refrigerator but should not be done in any condition. The outcomes are drastic, you may have to lose both refrigerator and phone at a time because the phone's battery will explode due to rapid temperature change.

The main reason why your phone stays hot is because of your back cover. These back covers are made of plastic which traps the heat liberated by the phone keeping it warm for a longer time. It is recommended to remove to back cover while charging and playing games. These phone case also affects your network connection. So I recommend you use back covers with slits or u can use a side cover.

The other reasons for the heating issue are the unwanted apps installed on your phone. Those apps use processor and battery. The best thing is you uninstall them. Try to keep screen brightness as low as possible. This is good for the phone as well for your eyes also.

If you have followed these steps and still have the issue. This might probably be because your battery is not good. If that's the case then you will also observe that your phones charge decreases very quickly. In this case, you have to replace the battery. To avoid your battery from going bad use the charger provided by the company.

According to me the highlight, advantage, and disadvantage of this phone are the same feature i.e the screen size. The phone is designed in California and assembled in China. The price of this phone in India is approximately INR 42,000 but the price of the same phone in the US and other countries is somewhere around INR 30,000. This is injustice done toward Indians. Apple iPhone SE 2020 was launched in the country on May 19, 2020. This phone's performance is much better any phone in the market even better than the performance of gaming centric phones.

General Specification:-

Apple iPhone SE 2020 smartphone runs on iOS v13.0 operating system. The phone has a 4.7 inch IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 337 PPI. The screen size is really small but there is no compromise in screen quality. But the screen size is really small at this price. But the advantage of the small screen is that the performance of the phone increases because the processor has to render fewer pixels. The has a battery of capacity 1821 mAh. This phone supports quick charging and wireless charging also.

Nowadays phones have a triple camera, quad camera, etc but iPhone SE has a single 12 megapixels rear camera. Now you might think its quite less. But the image quality is really good. Images have good detailing and images are quite smooth. The image quality is comparable with the flagships. Even the videos shot from it are really good. And the phone has 7 megapixels f/2.2 front camera. Though the phone doesn't have a depth sensor the background blur in portrait mode is good. I have attached some camera samples below.

As had told earlier due to the small screen the performance is further increased. The phone has the best performance as for now. Games like PUBG can be played in the maximum setting without any lag. Even in gaming phones, we see a slight lag in the maximum setting, but on this phone, we don't get to see any lag.

Connectivity:-

Connectivity features in the smartphone include WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, Volte, NFC, and more. And the sensors include Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Barometer, Compass, Gyroscope, and a fingerprint scanner.

Pros:-

The phone has a full metallic body which gives a premium feel in hand.
This phone has the best performance.
Very impressive camera at this price.
Supports wireless charging

Cons:-

The design of this is quite old similar to iPhone 8.
Small screen size.

iQOO 3 is new flagship by Vivo. This was officially released on February 25 2020 in India. iQOO 3 smartphone price in India is Rs 35,990. Though the phone has a weird name, it is actually packed with a lot of features. This is true 'paisa vasul' phone..!
Today in this blog I will try to give you a clear picture of this phone.

General Specification:-

iQOO 3 smartphone comes in Volcano Orange, Tornado Black, Quantum Silver colors. The phone in the above image is quantum silver. But the Volcano Orange color variant is really good looking. The phone has a battery life of 4440 mAh which supports 55 W fast charging which is really a big number, even greater than some of the laptops in the market. It has touch-sensitive shoulder buttons which can be useful when gaming on the smartphone. And these buttons are very sensitive, just perfect for gaming. Connectivity features in the smartphone include WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, Volte, and And this smartphone is fully 5g enabled. The phone has a fingerprint scanner and face-unlock which are very good.

The phone comes with a 6.44 inch super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 409PPI. The smartphone has a quad-camera setup at the back comprising of a 48-megapixel(f/1.79) primary sensor, 13-megapixel(f/2.46) telephoto camera, 13-megapixel(f/2.2) wide-angle-camera, and a 2 megapixel (f/2.4) depth sensor. This phone is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and has 8GB/12GB of LPDDR4 RAM. The phone has 128GB/ 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. UFS 3.1 is very advanced storage which is very fast, up to ten times faster than normal.

This hardware support makes it an excellent phone for gaming. iQOO 3 uses a custom iQOO UI which provides a gaming mode. The gaming mode has different optimization for different games. I liked this feature a lot. This phone provides a really smooth gaming experience. This can also be put on the list of the top gaming phones. As I had mentioned earlier it has touch-sensitive shoulder buttons that take gaming to the next level. Games like PUBG run on the maximum setting with no lag.

Pros:-

The gaming mode of the phone is the highlight as per my opinion.
The phone supports 55 W fast charging which can charge the phone very quickly.
The build quality is very good.

Cons:-

The refresh rate of the screen is just 60Hz.
The phone is quite bulky. It weighs 215 grams.
Currently, in India, there is no use of 5G so what's the use of having a 5g phone.
Like all game centered phone, even this has an average camera. But this phone has a slightly better camera than the others.

Though the screen refresh rate is 60Hz it never feels like that. The experience is quite smooth. So this con can be neglected. This phone is the best phone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. Overall this is a value for money deal. You can buy this phone by clicking here.

Xiaomi has launched its new budget smartphone Redmi 9. The price is estimated to be around INR 10,000. The phone is expected to be launched in the last week of August in India. This phone I guess would be launched as an alternative to POCO X2 lite in India. Then back camera setup and back pannel design look similar to POCO X2. For its price point, it has really good specifications.

General Specification:-

Xiaomi Redmi 9 comes with unibody plastic design as I told earlier the design is quite similar to Poco X2. The phone has a 6.53 inch with a pixel density of 394 PPI. The screen is protected by gorilla glass. The Xiaomi Redmi 9 runs on MIUI based android and is powered by a 5020mAh non-removable battery. The Xiaomi Redmi 9 supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging. The phone has a really good fingerprint scanner which is quite fast, even the face unlock works pretty well.

Talking about its camera, the Xiaomi Redmi 9 on the rear packs a 13-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture, a second 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture, a third 5-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture and a fourth 2-megapixel camera. It supports an 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies, with an f/2.0 aperture. Image quality looks quite decent at this price. I have attached a few camera samples of the phone. Xiaomi Redmi 9 is powered by a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 processor. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage which is expandable. With this much RAM, you cannot expect a really high-class gaming performance. But yes it offers a decent gaming experience. At this price point, I guess this the maximum amount of performance. Games like PUBG, Free Fire can run smoothly in a low setting. G80 is a good processor so there is no lag as such on the phone.

Connectivity:-

Connectivity options on the Xiaomi Redmi 9 include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, NFC, Infrared, USB Type-C, and FM radio, Wi-Fi Direct with active 4G on both SIM cards.And the main thing this phone has a headphone jack 😂. Sadly these headphones jacks are disappearing from phones these days. We realize the importance of these jacks while gaming.

Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, proximity sensor, and fingerprint scanner.

Overall speaking it would be real value for money. There no lag seen in any of the specifications at this price. So if you are about to buy a budget smartphone I suggest you wait till this phone is launched. The above-mentioned date is just an estimate it might be launched before that.

Nubia red magic 5g is a gamers paradise phone. This phone was released on 12 March 2020. This phone costs around INR 50,000. This phone has a very good built quality. It has RGB lighting on its logo which is quite cool. It has a fan for cool which is turned on while gaming. Overall the phone is very attractive.

Coming to specification the phone runs on Android 10 and has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. The phone has a 4500mAh battery that supports fast charging.

Nubia red magic has 8GB RAM and 128GB of non-expandable storage. Coming to the display it has a 6.65-inch display with a refresh rate 144Hz. This phone a triple rear camera setup a 64 megapixels f/1.8 aperture; second is of 8 megapixels and the third cam is of 2 megapixels. It has 8 megapixels f/2.0 aperture front camera. I have attached some camera samples below. This definitely not a camera phone. Images are good but not as good as expected in a flagship phone.

Connectivity options on the Nubia Red Magic 5G include Wi-Fi, GPS, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G both SIM cards. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, and in-display fingerprint sensor. Basically it all the sensors that are seen in flagship phones.

Pros:-

Best for hardcore gaming
The has a very good built and looks very cool.
The phone has slightly thick bezels at the top and bottom which provide a good grip while gaming.
Very loud and clear audio.
There is no heating issue.
Since it has a good screen it has a really good touch response time.

Cons:-

The camera is not good at this price point. The photos are of average quality.
Even fingerprint sensors are not that reliable.
Since this is a gaming phone more battery life is expected.

This phone is very good for gaming. If you don't care about the camera and cons of this phone you can definitely buy it.

Xiaomi has recently launched its new laptop which is designed for productivity. It was launched on June 11. The laptop has gained a lot of fame because it is released by Xiaomi.

Xiaomi notebook has two variants mi notebook 14 and mi notebook 14 horizon. there is nothing much difference in specification between them. The only difference is the processor notebook 14 has intel i5 10th gen and notebook 14 horizon has an intel i7 10th gen. And Another major difference is their price notebook 14 costs 41,999 and the notebook horizon costs 54,999. In this blog, I will tell you if this is worth buying or not.

It has 10-hour battery life as told by Xiaomi but the actual battery life is somewhere around 6-8 hours.

pros:-

It can be used to play basic games GTA and PUBG without any lag.
It comes with a USB web can which is of good quality it can be used to take cool selfies.
It has a very lightweight body.
It has thick rubber pads at the bottom which helps in better cooling and there are no heating issues in this one.
Battery quality is very good. It charges very quickly and battery life of 6-7 hours.

cons:-

Built quality is not that good for this price point.
The trackpad is quite small and feels uncomfortable while using it.
Graphis card is not that good for this price point it could have been better.
The Speaker output is not loud, even the earphone output is not good (base is not good)
The laptop is basically designed for productivity but it does not have a backlit keyboard, and even the screen size is small.
RAM could have been better. There is a slight lag in professional video editing.

In my opinion at the same price better laptops are available with better performance. If you are planning to buy this one you better check the laptops dell, Asus at this point. I personally feel this could have been better and I wouldn't recommend it.

Samsung M31 is the latest budget smartphone launched in India. This phone is manufactured in India. The phone costs around 17,000.

M31 runs on Android 10. The phone has a Samsung Exynos 9611 Octa-core processor. 64 GB of internal storage expandable up to 512GB has 4 GB of RAM.

Coming to the camera it has quad rear camera 64MP+8MP+5MP+5MP and has a 32MP front camera which is quite impressive at this price point.

The performance of this phone is quite good it can run games like PUBG without any appreciatable lag or frame drop so it can be used for gaming also.

Overall speaking this phone is a value for money. If you are buying a budget smartphone this phone would be best.
