I just recently did a classic Jungle 30 minute mix on our radio show and even though we all know this track isnt strictly jungle i had to slip it in due to the influence it had! I still love this record and have the exact same DJ promo version show in the picture. Amazing break beats and wicked heavy bass! What more could you ask for!

Its really well shot and edited and production values are great but it just seems to lack that bit of fun we managed to instil into our video! A classic track from the era when old school and hardcore were just about to develop into jungle and then Drum & Bass. This was when hardcore and jungle where played alongside each other and before it all went too happy or too gabba. If none of this is making any sense to you then don't worry, it was quite a niche moment in musical history but one that influenced all others sectors without them even knowing. Some lovely timestretching in there too and the sort of chords that are back in a huge way at the moment, oh and the break beats used too.

This is SMD1 from a collection of 3 if my memory serves me correctly? I used to have 3 (orange, green * blue) anyway but through my travels, sticky fingered DJ's, lending them out and a series of other events the other 2 were lost to history and i only have this one left in my vinyl collection. We always used to call this one the chicken tune as deciphering the difference between them just based on their colours was way too boring!

Beatnik went on a promo day handing out Dj Nikki T-Shirts & Bags at Streetfest, London's street culture festival in Shoreditch. We strapped a GoPro camera to long term Beatnik family member @alexbishopal3 and got him to film all the events of the day! The whole event culminated in Dj Nikki's huge headlining set where we threw more T-Shirt's out to the crowd.

I just posted the colour version of this video but i did a Black & White one too so here it is, tell me which you prefer!

I was blown away by this video the first time i saw it. The track is nice but the video took all my attention away from it as it was so good. Very life affirming stuff.

The official video for 'Waiting All Night' is the inspirational true life-story of San Francisco born BMX champion and actor - Kurt Yaeger, who became an amputee after an accident in 2006. All the characters in the clip are pro bmx'ers and the real friends of Kurt.
