Soon gonna be 50 million views…voted the best song of 2011.You type just ‘why’ in youtube n you get ‘why this kolaveri di’!!You could just hear it on n on n on…..So, who dared to say Kolaveri Di is a fad?

Everyone has a kolaveri story now…(like how they got to know about kolaveri)…I have been just too lazy posting it now…There’s going to be translation in English, about the depth in the song, philosophical aspects, and about why everyone loves kolaveri di!!;)

So, my old school friend had a fb update.(No, it’s not going to be an obvious story!!) As I heard that it’s being played all around in Tamil Nadu n its something addictive, I heard it on 20 November. In our Marketing Conclave, big CEOs n top notch people asked us when we had heard kolaveri.See?? The earliest ans was 18^th however. So, this has really been a major historical event. Like someone blogged, two kinds of people out there, those who have heard Kolaveri di, n those who haven’t :P

I spread it in my hostel, n then everywhere in my hostel every sec you hear someone playing it. Although we all somehow knew we were going to shown Kolaveri in our Marketing class,we still were so excited…..The moment it began, we jumped with joy to every beat….!

Then our Sir asked us, Why is ‘why this kolaveri di’ so successful in viral marketing?

My hand was raised, highest up, ofcourse!

Somehow our prof is very much in the belief(I come to class with a frame of mind, like’ guy ghas chati hai’ and that is only what I’d take from the MBAs)

So of all our reasons, he brooded on ‘relatable’…

But there are many………..I say.

1. The beats, the tune

2. The DIFFERENCE…lines in between…..absolutely unexpected colloquialism in a song!

3. The expressions!!!!!!

4. The relatable content (Like Sir said, everyone has been or has seen someone getting dumped or heartbroken ONCE!!)

5. The HD quality

6. Shareability factor,you can easily share!!Facebook, twitter, you name it!!

7. The youth, ….we are great on enjoying anything that is good, n don’t mind sharing

8. Networks, greater connections n reach of people, everybody has 50 friends, so it goes 50*50*50…see??

9. The curiosity, just everyone wanted to know what KOLAVERI means!!!

10. The reach as it is(although I was unaware of newspapers….) but many went on to see, what it was that EVERYONE is crazy about?records…millions of hits in weeks??what is it?

11. The many versions!!!In a few days, there were 5000 odd versions!!They make you go see the original once!

12. Controversies!!! How many noticed this?All that crap about di, da……racism, n what not!Who hasn’t heard. …any publicity is publicity??

You love it, now don’t you? The only cynical people who don’t, are resisiting loving it cuz they cant find a meaning, n celebrating meaninglessness is not ideal (How about Kishore’s all time greatest, Eena meena deeka…..I will love it, if someone tells me if it ever meant anything) Even they will love it when I give them a meaning .

We all dance upto Nakka mukka also……..(ok, I have a meaning for that also, but not now!)

Interpretation: Whatever lies in the distance, seems to be attractive(In India, a fair girl is generally thought to be beautiful….)………so it’s like the grass is always green on the other side.

So, the point is, it is not against women,………C’mon grow up guys, we have grown up with songs that each time yell out Bewafa, bewafa……..n what not

It is just someone’s grief………….n an unusual realistic expression of it, the same could be for us girls……..Why this kolaveri, Da!

You never thought you were the kind of girl anyone would want to make his girlfriend. You saw couples being made and broken. You were there in those giggles, but always in the teasing; never the teased. You’d dreamt, dreamt a lot, all through your teens, you had a strong hope that they’d come true.

Even as the photographer kept turning for you as you walked out of the beach, you had made your mind, you were just blocking his view of the sea, until; he turned round about. Things just changed there on. You still had hope you will find love. From the handsome stud, turning thrice for you from his bike, at the traffic signal and saying something to his friend sitting behind him to turn back and look at you, clutching your hand, as you are both in motion, putting that chit and gesturing to the stud, which, Of course had his name and number; to your first day in college; a big fight and a hand and a typical smile, ‘Friends?’….. you had thought, this just happens in movies!

Sneak peaks, little stares, teases galore, flirts and proposals, you look around to see if he’s still looking at you, from the corner of the classroom, that brushing of hands as you walk by, and the suddenness with which you turn.

From the immature gazes, quick simultaneous looks, even though you sit next to each other in your first gang journey, to hands slipping out of hands, till the last finger, unwilling to let go, realizing the depth of a relationship you have, when your soul touches the other, wishing to wipe off every bit of sadness.

Falling in love has its own charm, Of course, but being loved is a lovable feeling, we love to be loved! You meet guys, you move from flicks to depth, from superficial to real, deep, that’s felt.

You are close by in a train, in your very first journey, facing each other, in top bunks, and he’s looking at you. You discover friendship, a belongingness, an amazing sweetness as he gets up every hour at some pretext or the other to watch you sleeping. You look at him, he looks at you, eyes are caught, smiles and ‘Good night’. As dawn creeps in, you hold his hand, the heart beat, and you feel that bond….an amazing human to human bond…..the ‘apnapan’.

From the first “hii” when you were 16, the voice that said I love the ring of your laughter, being amused that he’d sneak in a conference hall to talk to you; to the number of times you cried, the pain , the suffering and it’s weird how you hear the same things again. But thank god, you grow up!

That longing gaze , misty wet eyes with which he watches you, standing as the train jerks to life, and kicks up speed, knowing not when he can see you next. You love to see yourself so beautiful like an angel through his eyes, no matter how bad you look that day. Moments as deep as this or as silly as times when you stand in the sun under umbrellas, wind breezing off your hair on your face, you see that sweet gaze as you stop laughing, and say “You, know what? This is one of those ‘MOMENTS’ that we are gonna remember, later on!”

The sudden mischievous dare, to pull you close to his heart when the dean waits just outside, to the way he kisses your forehead instead or when you simply rest your head on his shoulder peacefully and feel safe. You remember moments when in a busy silent evening, he suddenly buys an unexpected rose for you, the utter simplicity with which, he just looks into your eyes and says “There you go” .

It’s not about wishing someone on Valentine’s Day or celebrating the Valentine’s week, or buying expensive gifts, but more about being there. The chat “U ther?” and the reply “Always, there for you”; about hurrying, after the biggest fight you had, having an accident, hitting your knee and still running and being there in 15 min to see her for 5 min. It’s about rediscovering yourself, about valuing others and feeling valued.

Today’s moments become memories tomorrow, memories you cherish and wish to hold on close to your heart, sometimes you end up spending good moments, with maybe the not so good ones, but you learn and sometimes you feel a bond called friendship. Indeed, you don’t have to be in love, to feel love.

Anyone heard that news? That people tend to be more sad, the more they use facebook? Every now n then they see their friends posting popping heads, jumping with joy, friends, and places, gfs n bfs, one after the other, (well, honestly I didn’t even know, people loved posting their kisses too!....Blame my aloofness……Ohk…fine!! I have also heard more than just that being posted…but!!)

Coming back to what we have been kind of blabbing since a lot of time, in a lot posts, that people are not happy.

Nobody can be. Always.

Agreed everyone has their ups n downs, n more of downs. Agreed life never is as easy as it was when we were kids. Agreed life makes everyone suffer. In their own way of course……..

But then? What’s wrong? Why do we always feel, it’s just me!! Why me!! Why does it take such a long time to dawn upon us the fact that, just as we say we are fine, others say too.

I knew someone who, hated me always telling the truth about how I was at the moment. Well, hey! Aren’t we supposed to just say that, when we are asked “what’s up? How are you?”

Well, blame my English knowledge for whatever it is, I still understand “how are you?” as HOW ARE YOU.

How utterly disastrous I am , you must be thinking. I used to say I am sad, when I was sad, n the next thing, you guessed it………………. “Why, what happened?”

Now what one Earth are you supposed to say after that?

“No, nothing happened, I just kind of had a whim of discovering what life was on the other side, n thus had an intense desire of crying……………..just like that!”

Silly, yes I know, very.

So, if you do the obvious of “Blabbing”….be very very careful, who the person is.(Not everyone is the best therapist, not at all, if they know you, n the characters involved in your story)

What’s the other option, now? The one that I had began criticizing….in the beginning but kind…of forgot midway…..just like always…!

So does that person do? He’d always say “Mast hoon”

So saying that I am great. Never been more happier before this moment…or some crap like that….makes you feel better, does it?

Where does all this pretense lead to? Why are people so afraid to admit, they are sad? Why, of course, cuz people are waiting to make them despo, weird, saddies, rondus……..you name it, they are all set with their armories to give you a nervous breakdown?

Seriously, what’s wrong with people…..

HOW WELL DO WE KNOW THE PEOPLE NEXT TO US?

Like I was saying…in my earlier post, Relationships n the distance within...people have changed…people have changed…..we have no idea how.

People we knew so well once, we know nothing about them now.

(Ok, for all of you, who are wondering if it’s my another attempt at pathetic poetry……..no, it’s not!)

And people who are right next to us, we know nothing either…….We are least aware of the suffering that a person breathing amongst us might be going through and so are people absolutely ignorant of the deep torments that we go through……….times when we are tearing from within……….times when we have cried our eyes out……times when we don’t remember when was the last time, we had felt we had suffered like this.

We see people, around us, wishing not to make a scene.We see people asking us, ‘Is everything fine?’

Not many people will say no, though. So we know the standard answer. ‘Yeah, everything is fine.’

Time n again I have witnessed a lot of such instances. We laugh, enjoy and share the same spaces in classrooms. I had no idea why a person kept cutting herself.

But then I can’t blame people having suicidal tendencies……..we all have our low times( anyone who said , ‘Not me!’, is the biggest liar we have here).

C’mon, let’s face it. Nobody can be always happy. Though I do not know the startling answer to the question “How many of us know that we want to be unhappy?”

Well, atleast I don’t………I said startling cuz I guess even the qsn is too startling, isn’t it?

The professor of Psychology from US who had visited us lately had told us we must share our feelings and emotions. We must never ever text a person five feet away……….(even if we have free sms!) that doesn’t make us great in people skills but in texting skills.

In any case we are somehow being drawn away from the human presence next to us……..talking with a number of people is important for psychological wellbeing.

At another extreme, we are wondering whether or not we should ping our long lost childhood friend who’s online, cuz we know nothing about what to talk……

Is it a time to start knowing them afresh as a new person? Should we not really drag our lazy feet and make some effort to know the new people, we think are cool enough and alike………..n who can be great friends………But what if they think we are being intrusive (read chipku….nosy parker)

Well, indeed it is not easy to be in everyone’s ‘close’ zone……….being close to everyone and knowing their heart out.

I had loved the movie, the moment I saw it.I keep watching great movies and then forget them. Somehow I keep promising I will keep a track…….but here’s a start.

For most of us there’s a first time. I mean for all of us there is a 1^st time….our first encounter with death………..

The innocence of childhood is tantalizing……..anyone would love to be there(except kids!!I know, been there, done that, wanted to grow up,………until I knew what it means to grow up)

How cool it would be…………if people I love lived forever……...AND stayed THE WAY THEYA RE………..

Going above to the 1^st para (yes, go back pls)……….the meaning here is, we do not try to see the inherent meaning behind things we see everyday(nor do we care to). Nobody cares why one is a bully, or why one acts like a weirdo or why do people feel a need to show they are NOT AFRAID of anything.

We hate the bullies, ignore or raise an eye-brow at weirdos(or for people of the same community, as me, we give a smile…:P)

Come back to our life…………we have all seen people who are weird(most common example)…………people who wana show off, people who wana bully…………(maybe cuz there’s this defensive mechanism, the need to grow over their own deep insecurities and prove their worth to themselves by overpowering others.)

Often we un-notice the small little details around us, things that matter so much……..we just miss our own life, as we live it.

If we just open our eyes, we could see EVERYTHING…………whatever life has in store for us, things we are missing out…

THE 99TH INDIAN SCIENCE CONGRESS:PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

DISCLAIMER: This post is just a personal account of reactions of colleagues and friends and people present in the inaugural ceremony who expressed their views and in no way tries to demean anybody.

We have been hearing and seeing a lot that KIIT has been doing for the 99^th Indian Science Congress. The re-built gate, the lovely paintings on the walls and the large no. of people involved in organizing had raised our expectations quite a lot.(Just saw a tweet that said all this is being done to show how the crores were spent wisely)

Highlights:

· The anchor kept on chewing a chewing gum even before the PM(and we were being told at school it is bad manners to do so….lol)

· People kept pouring in even beyond 9, as people waited for two hours and even they had to wait for PM’s arrival.(Of course, it’s India and blame the TRAFFIC for ISC 2012)

· I saw a tweet….real fun…… “If you are tall, you could peep #ISC2012” Well, exactly for all the 15000 delegates, you are there, paying 1500 bucks and all you see is the LCD screens.

· When PM came, everyone stood up. Obvious. After a while some people sat, while others were still standing. One gentleman said ‘Baith Jao.’ Another explained ‘Ye log dekhne k liye nahi khade huay hain, ye to samman hai’ ;) [They aint standing to see, it’s to show respect]

· Talk of all the tweets saying people are attending and we were told mobile phones not allowed ( which by the way is not practical and hence caused much of the chaos…you KNOW people get lost, without cell phones!!)

· But taking is one and using another. Anyone who had, were asked to switch it off. Obvious. How can we blame people who might have tweeted before it started….you should have seen the lady with Commissionerate of police ID card, sitting there and talking over her cell phone DURING the PM’s talk!

· The speeches were very nice, deeply appreciated Naveen Pattnaik’s English, he was the best. In fact, wonder if anyone would have told people not to read out in public talks, and I admired that he spoke out difficult names of people who had won the Kalinga Award after taking out his specs and not once referring to the paper….The audience always feels great when the speaker actually TALKS to them and not reads out (But I am told, the high offices often read out as it may be a major problem if they misplace the words)

· The claps in between!!Bhubaneswarians felt so proud each time Bhubaneswar or Biju Pattnaik was mentioned that a roar of cheer and applause could be heard, same with India being first in milk production etc.(After all we are Indians!!)

But the catch here is that someone was explaining “This is not the clap to say leave early…they are clapping in between as they are so proud of the facts being quoted.”

· It was really cute and adorable to see PM behave like a doll (or should I say mannequin…I really mean no offense), but the way he sat, his hands in front, straight view, humbly standing up when he was said he had to, it was like somebody was telling him, move left, and he moved left.

· The best part was the award ceremony. Loved it. All the talented people out there, you tend to have respect for them..But the sweetest was the two tribals taking the prize…the lady was not even sure where to look….and CM telling in her ears probably to face the camera….same for the following guy, and all the fun in the audience, wondering if the tribals understood our CM’s Oriya….:P (But, hey, he did say a line in Oriya in his speech…I am genuinely happy….it’s better to have someone who can speak good English, less Oriya than one who’s good Oriya but no English and yes doing some good work matters most;))

· Some didn’t get welcome kits (out of stock), someone got welcome kit but pass was missing, many got welcome kit but food coupons were missing!

That’s the limit actually, when you stand in queues for over an hour in scorching heat waiting for food coupons that they forgot to put and the coupons are out of stock! (And need I say how it feels if you are starving and had nothing since morning as you had to be there before 8 am (as it was to start by 9)

People; even such old people who should have got some senior citizen help were in the queue and many were shouting to make two queues at least (and…guess what the poor volunteer replied…we are opting for it…lol But what’s the use of two queues when you don’t even have inventory of coupons!)

· The food was great though…The Inaugural lunch menu Roti, Pulao,Plain rice, dal, sambar, rasam, alu gobhi, rani kofta, moong saag, plain curd, Raita, Chicken curry, Fish fry, Malpua, Kheer…n ofcourse, the papad, achaar n all…(I am not official here…just saying what is remembered)

Well when such a big event is hosted, many things are bound to go wrong. You encounter some good people and some bad…some volunteers could be really good to you…especially the ones at the front Help Desk at the new gate….(all best experiences there)….and worst at the inside odisha mandap help desk (one account). After reporting, pre-registered delegates got their kits and ID cards. One cannot expect people to immediately open up the kit and start straining their eyes in the dark evening to search from the various contents in the kit and read where to come tomorrow. So a normal usual course of action would be to ask the help desk, a one word answer to a question “Where do we need to come tomorrow”……We had heard KIIT Stadium, but we would love to know where it is…Now giving a slight direction couldn’t be that tough, can it? But to utter horror, believe it or not, the lady at the help desk says “You must have got a kit…..(Of course, guess you can even see I am hanging one down my shoulder…!!)….. You must have got a kit, inside it’s written where to come..READ it…!!

So rude? Is it so difficult to do one’s job….smile and answer the simplest question, probably…Is it why help desks are meant for? I personally didn’t understand why the lady reacted like this. All she was to do was help a troubled soul…i.e. do her job. An absolute contrast was the Help Desk at the newly built gate, like I have said before, they were so helping and even smiling! Even the people inside the campus were sweet. Another major complain however , I guess would be common to anyone who paid 1500 and got those pathetic plastic chairs to sit on :P. One wonders wouldn’t it be better to sit in your comfy sofas at home and watch in TV, or maybe not, counting the frequent disturbances in OTV telecasts….lol

It was a great sight to see the nicely made roads, well painted and clean, the lovely flower pots and the wall paintings. However, it would have been so much better if there had been anything close to a gallery. The stadium tenting was good, red and gold but the blue rods were peeping out at places..it could have been better had they chosen a blue shade…But loved the idea of LCD panels that made viewing possible!!

P.S: This is not meant to insult anyone. It is just a casual act of sharing what one saw around. And I guess India is a free country and we have freedom of speech and expression…hehe…

Relationships and the distance within….

We don’t live alone..everyone has shared their lives with someone! We get close, we share, we care, we fight….we wonder why things changed…….

The CLOSER we are, the FARTHER we get…do we really KNOW people with whom we spend our typical EVERYDAY?

I used to wonder how people who see each other everyday in school haven’t ever talked to each other n the first time, they ever talked was on Fb, or myspace, or other social networking websites….

But true, that is life….the bigger classes you go into…(Count 150 classmates….n you would hardly know 30-40)

Forget those we don’t even talk to…..what about those that we hang around with,….every break, we go n smile, talk a bit about our professors, classes, etc….but do we REALLY know them? Do we know what they like, what they dislike….?

People tend to know more about likes, dislikes, good moments, and bad and to a great depth about the life of their net friends, probably because it’s easier to share things to someone you don’t even know…

Not many people would prefer talking face-to-face…People texting eachother when they are just 5 feet away is not uncommon….I mean its fun sometimes, but there’s an awkwardness that makes us do this, isn’t it? So, where are we heading at? This is the biggest irony of today..we know more about the far, n sometimes know just nothing about people so close to you…..There’s an inherent distance within relationships between people.

It is so so difficult to maintain a relationship with just anyone.More often than not we do not communicate….whatever hurts us is seldom said, which keeps on building a bridge that keeps on separating us from the other person.

In most close relationships, we feel this is gonna last forever, the best of friends, couples etc, but everything changes….circumstances change…the way people think changes….priorities change….and it becomes difficult to accept…and at one point you realise, that the reasons for which you had ever admired or respected the other, to be a friend have all changed to the contrary….that is when you prefer giving up as it gives you more torment to be with the absolute opposite person than not.

BALIKA VADHU LATEST TWIST AFTER TWIST:Anandi, Jagya,Gauri

Balika Vadhu never had been this interesting!!With Shivani leaving Gauri and thrown out by Kunda Tai, after losing everything now, comes the biggest shock of being funded by Bhairon Singh

Forget abt how Gauri will react to Bhairon Singh's funding, I wana see how her parents would....all this time, khamkha itna kan bhara hai, that big people, ruined our life n all......n brainwashed Gauri from childhood,so much so that she even forgot how Anandi n Bhairon had taken care of her when her parents had thrown her to die

For those who dont remember or dont know...when Jagya was married to Gauri in childhood by Dadisa, who'd thought that chhoti Anandi had gone mad...(due to circumstances)......nad Bhairon and others didnt accept the second marriage n it was declared null n void by panchayat also after proving Anandi's mental fitness......Gauri's aprents had thrown her outside Badi Haveli in cold...she was shivering and had fever.Anandi and others took her in,looked after her, and Bhairon promised to pay for her studies...but Gauri's today's flashbacks are just something else...!!

Kunda Tai, n I was kinda expecting it...the way her eyes were coming out as Gauri's mother had said...lomdi hai...n all for anandi....thankgod they FINALLY let out secret of KT's story...

The way KT(Kunda tai) gave that lecture....loved it...n kajal oozing out of Gauri's eyes.....as she cried.....Sarey kunware mar gaye the jo tujhe shaadishuda hi mila??lol....high point....!!

Jagya n Gauri deserved this n more n not now but a lot lot earlier, but OMG,just look at them, even after all this they are happy, n not a tinge of repentance for hurting Kunda Tai so much!!!!

BV has been in its best form in the last few days...oved the KT act, Shivani leaving Gauri and will Bade Papa also leave her?
Why had he not told her the truth till now??

You know these things, n u just keep waiting when the characters will GET TO KNOW the truth n all

Cant expect sense from Gauri, so maybe she'll again blame Anandi...

Gehna is sweet, being jealous is obvious, but she must not turn negative...!!!
BV rocks in showing various shades to a character, nobody's totally negative till we got to know Jagya n Gauri tho...just 2 exceptions...I mean even Dadisa, was never shown ABSOLUTELY bad, she had her grey shades, but was sweet too...and they are just forgetting the whole thing in case of Anandi, showing her as the best...she is also human, she must feel sad, or angry sometimes...lol

The story has taken loadsa turns. Now that Balika Vadhu is focusing on social issues, it is back to focus, the entire track on how Anandi manages to educate people about the superstitions and the fraud baba and the recent Phuli’s case, where she manages to get her baby to her legally by appealing in the court of law….all bring it back to its form and cause.Ofcourse one could have nevr expected the fairy tale like story of Phuli to continue for a long time.After all they had to show Naata Pratha is bad.Let’s see what happens next…

This has always been quite close to my heart….Raymond’s as such defines class, style and sensitivity…

.Raymond’s Complete Man has always shown various aspects of being a Complete Man.This one came in just after the “Saamne ye kaun aya dil me hui halchal” wedding backdrop one, that showed the extremely romantic and loving husband and father. This touched a sweet chord…in the heart. You have seen her act so many times, but how beautifully does she play this mother…!!

As the son comes in with his job abroad, she’s so happy. He hugs her first..(a true portrayal, I felt..)……and then as there’s a tinge of sadness due to separation, he quickly draws out his mother’s passport and touches her feet…..a mark of our tradition, respect and care for our loved ones…….a story of emotions so deep, said within a few seconds so nicely………so beautiful…I call it art.

I feel it’s much better than the clichéd ‘the man gets the girl due to the suit’ theme. There’s no point roping in brand ambassadors who cannot add much.It’s more or less Bollywood and cricket. Though things have moved into product based advertising, focusing more on features and price of the product itself, one cannot deny the power of branding and the success of Raymond’s. You got to accept, that’s the brand image they have created…you feel attached, and you think quality. And that’s good advertising.

Personality based advertising has worked. But then not to be complacent or smug, maybe Raymond’s must add a little product approach to it’s great strength of intangibles. That’s how you better yourself in competition. Raymond’s also needs to adapt to the new age of India and especially to the extremely potential market of ‘youth’. The ‘Come and See’ from Raymond shop with VJ Manish catches up with the youth of today. It’s a lovely ad with elements, right from RajKapoor’s old umbrellas, to modern styles, and the tap is so touching. I had wondered how it would keep up it’s aspirational power with this, but then, as they say “shehzadon ka nazrana”.

It’s feel good ad……..you just feel nice about the brand even though you are not exactly a buyer. But yes, I do influence people, when I have to..;)

This article was very fascinating to me. I’m 25 now, and still, I have a distinct memory and perception of seeing those Raymond -complete man adverts in the cinemas in India…..back when i was a kid in India. It represents quite a special memory for me….I clearly remember how each time I saw that advert I was struck with awe, at how fancy the ad was, how handsome the man, how confident his style, how the very environment around him seemed to approve wholeheartedly at his mere existence. I remember wishing that I cud grow up and be a complete man like him. Even now…..whenever me and my friends talk about ideals and societal behaviours…i often quote that raymond advert….saying that to me that man represents completeness and a balance between the physical, emotional and spiritual part of a man’s life.

To date, much of my perception around a modern indian man’s position in life has to do with my memories of that advertisement. I’ve always tried to believe that completeness in character, beliefs and attitudes is what will allow a man to live life to the fullest. After reading this post, I got somewhat introspective and realised that the ideals and beliefs I have cultivated and developed through my teens, into my early 20′s and now into what I call the beginning of the mid 20′s….they are very heavily congruent with the attitudes and vison that was conveyed by the Raymond Advert. Even now, I randomly get a vision in my head about that scene from the advert..when the man is standing on the cliff top, hands spread wide, and the advert presents a wide angle arial rotating shot of him from the sky….that pose struck a chord with me as it represented the intermingling of that very complete man with nature, with the cosmic consciousness…it instilled within me a belief that completeness of emotions, character, attitudes, behaviors and physicality is what allows one to experience the full range that life has to offer.

Certainly, I believe strongly in that concept of completeness…and i suppose i’ve subconsciously developed my own personality to try and match that ideal. I’ve gone through that phase in my late teens when expression of my machismo and tough guy image was all important….to a mindset now where I’m more about acknowledging that men too have a very strong emotive side, and a real man owes it to himself to understand that emotive side and develop a level of sensitivity (not to be confused with “being” sensitive…to me possessing sensitivity is a far higher and more subtle concept), so that he can derive the most satisfaction and feel most rewarded from his relationships….with his partner, family, friends, with the world.

FORCE MOVIE REVIEW AND PICS

Force was seeming to be good from the sweet John and Genelia scenes…
..both of them have acted fabulously and some dialogues are just too good. But if you are looking for the sweet chemistry, it might disppoint you as the screen presence is extremely small.It’s a complete action packed movie.And if you see it in a theatre, you always know the difference.Not that I don’t like action but I wish there was a little more romance.

Coming back to acting, even the friends, Mohnish Behl and others are too good, Sandhya Mridul was a pleasant surprise. The saddest part was that everybody had to die in the end, except John…..which made it too sad for me, and it felt like nothing then, cuz you keep expecting something to happen….

I don’t know how this happened but this is the max pics I could get,but all are for this song,…this reminds how John Abraham shys away as Genelia ogles at him,lol….….But the song is sweet….as are all frames that have both the stars.

And yes, the bike stunt it was real.If John did it in the promos too, there’s no doubt he lifted the bike in FORCE. One of my acquaintances was sure there had to be ropes, but no!

Both John and Genelia look too good…here are some killer looks, especially in the song Khwabon khwabon, John gives some great expressions.

But more than the song this scene was really special as Genelia pumps in her bubliness effervescence

that anyone who comes these days to wish me after my fracture,keeps fruits etc on the table, and you kept gun, its so special to me!!..lol

And so was the Leher sapno ki kaise ginu...the pastel color saree looked just fab, sad that she had to die in that too. But the way she fell like a doll, I guess it's unnatural for hands to be still straight when you fall. But having an accident for looking at a guy and dying , saying only this wish was fulfilled that of dying in your arms was sweet and touchy.The whole part about Genelia calling John item, and giving proof of her love, nearly acting the guys part out was hilarious.

Even the opening stunt of climbing up and smashing through the glass windows of the lovely wood house, were great sequences.The entire flashback technique, kidnap of Sandhya and then change of track and revelation of Mohnish Behl of giving away John's address just a day after their marriage,to save his wife and yet inability to kill him, was gripping.

Some of the great dialogues that John says, Sir f painkiller dena, neend nai ana chahiye warna,hosh ate hi sabse pehle tumhe mardalunga, or something like that.

Cinematography is good, the happy scenes are pretty much in the day light and the sad undertones have a dark lighting.The chase sequences are good, especially the ones with Vidyut and John.The entire movie disappointed in terms of story.Itw as quite predictable, and there could have been much more to it.

Basically it's hardcore action and might be too raw for a vegetarian to see the climax John hitting the abs out, all bloody in a bloody shed filled with hanging dead goats.

I had seriously expected such capable officers could have come up with something better than being mere pawns at the hand of the villain and finally John walking out of hospital bed(like every loyal hero) to do the needful in the end.

But the most energizing moment was when the other officer and his girlfriend are killed, and in the backdrop of chants, we see how all the other 3 officers take revenge and finally do find out who was behind all this.

All in all, just a one time watch, but not worth watching in black or watching twice or anything...

If you want to see the sweet romance, dont go, as it's all in the songs, nothing extra.

LIFE FROM DIFFERENT PLACES....AS YOU SEE IT...

Life….is so uncertain at times…and we never understand unless we are in the right places to understand it. The grass always seems green on the other sides.The paths that are not trodden are by default accepted to have been great………great lush green things that we left……maybe…….cuz we do not know what life would have been if we’d have made those choices that we havent made…….

Well, you do not know……….until……..you know……..,right?

Life always seems different from different places; from different perspectives.

Actually, reason for my present insanity(I know ypu’ve been asking..:P)……….is that…I kinda heard something somewhere that struck me….(Ok, I know, I know, it happens a lot…..but ofcourse I am not so ‘less lazy’ to pen it down , now….right?)

Coming back to the point,I heard that you do not know what it means to top, until you do……..and you don’t know what it means to fail, unless you actually do.

True, often we are unable to see life from any other perspective than our favourite……….ours.

It comes, by default, actually.

What is hard is to swap places, or minds…….rather…..You wont know what it is to keep sleeping and yet feel tired, when you cant get up or even still lie down……..nothing makes you comfortable……..No, no I am not talking about those crap nokia “epic choices of life” advertisements……..they are simply …… “just too much”.

But yes,w hen we are kids, we think elders dont understand what it feels when we have so much homework, we are so damn stressed…that we are having burn-outs(I have no idea what school life is these days, though)….ok, a little more literal epic drama??.....you wont know what is alzeihmer until someone in your family is suffering from it, and more still, you’d still not know that much, if you don’t have to attend your grandmother who’s suffering from alzeihmer.

When we are frustrated, we just don’t understand how people can ever ask us to relax, but we do pacify our friends, with the same dialogues when they are losing it.

Once somebody told me, “You have everything, what more can you ever want………!”

Seriously??? “Step in my shoes and you’d know”

And guess what I heard? “Ya, sure, just take them out, I’ll try your shoes”

Now that was one of those ‘It’s not even any use, tryin sayin anythin!!’ moments….:P

Well……my intention was not about dissatisfaction, at all……..but yes, there’s lot of grief, and tension…and no matter, how badly we say those typical melodramatic lines “I understand……..”

we actually never do; until, we do….lol……..But, we can…….if we try…Maybe that’s where, high quality acting starts…….(no, I am not kidding!!) I mean you really really feel the character and his pain, right?

P.S: I know I have simply lost it, I know you are gonna hit me, for this mindless post…….but yes, you are used to it, now, arent you?

P.P.S: As an after thought I am kinda thinking(yes, I know that’s frigthening and that’s a rare quality only some crazy people like me can have of so much afterthought on a damn post! ;))….that….one of my friend who’d said I can speak an hour on crap, isnt entirely false, is it?...lol….:P

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, book vs movie part 1 and 2

Whenever we read a book, we imagine with the imagery and when a movie comes, we do expect to see our imagination come alive, which, ofcourse never happens and we are left fuming, and raging…lol.

But that’s natural, now isn’t it? Often we love a book completely, but we may wish to alter some sequences, and if we had to make it, maybe we would make it our way.So they are also entitled to make it their way. But needless to say, in the Harry Potter series, the changes made in the movies are always a complete waste.The books are always much better and the final Deathly Hallows is the best of all the books.

What was too good to watch…….

1. Thankgod the seven potters scene was good enough.The way people went smaller and taller, Fred and George joking about it was great.

2. The patronuses, one that came to announce danger in the wedding and the silver doe, both were cute.

3. The best part was Snape’s memories in the pensieve and the way he cried when Lily died,holding her in his arms.I burst into tears,
went back, saw the scene again and cried again. Seldom do I enjoy a sad sad scene but this was so touching I wanted to see and feel it again. We’ve always hated Snape, but as we come across the reasons in the earlier series, his childhood, the way Harry’s father was the bully and in this book, about how much Snape had loved Lily, even after she’d married James, how he’d begged Dumbledore to save her. He’d always cared for her happiness and Dumbledore had won him over to protect Harry, by saying that he has her eyes.

He does say that in the end “You have her eyes” as he dies. I wish Harry could have a flashback of Snape’s last words. The best of the best was when Dumbledore is amused that Snape’s patronus is a doe like Lily’s, and says “After all these years, still Lily?”

And Snape says “Always”.

Just one but a very powerful word filled with emotions.This broke my heart……Snape’s love was shown in the movie better, and we realise what a hard job it was, infact the hardest to be there (as in the opening scene) with Voldemort, see your friends die, and not even let a drop of tear out.

4. The entire final fight, protecting Hogwarts, shielding it was amazing and Professor McGonnal looked so sweet doing it with pride.

5. The Kings Cross scene was surreal and a treat to watch.The baby clearly looked like Voldemort.But in the book Harry’d not been able to understand who he was.

The lines of Dumbledore were retained

“Do not pity the dead Harry, pity the living ……..and those living without love.”

“Of course this is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth must that mean that it is not real?”.

6. The action sequences in Bathilda Bagshot’s house, Gringott’s break in,Dobby saving Harry, and the final fight and the forest was all well shot.

7. Final misty scene with everybody aged (Ginny looked great, but Hermione still seemed a kid).Thankgod they retained the Albus Severus dialogue.

What I missed most………

1. Dudley’s confession!!Where the hell did that parting thing go? It was so sweet when Harry had realised that Dudley was actually grateful that Harry had saved him from dementors and might have kept the coffee cup for him, when he said Harry’s is not a waste of space and how later Harry said Dudley saying this much is way more than saying Thankyou.It was an important part, symbolizing a bond, at the very end with Dursleyes!!That if you do good, you get good.

2. The escape: Hedwig was in the cage in the book unlike fighting with Deatheaters to save Harry.And instead of moving out on muggle roads and directly to Weasleys as in the movie, they’d crashed in Tonks' parents Andromeda and Ted’s house who were nowhere to be found in the movie.

3. Harry’d seen Stan Shunpike, the guy from the Knight bus,I guess, with the Death Eaters, and decided only to disarm him instead of stunning him and sending him to his death. Harry had used the same spell, Expelliarmus, against Voldemort when they had met three years previously. This helped them know which one was real Harry in the book not Hedwig fighting for him as in the movie.

4. The tensions:Somehow the tension in the air in the book due to the sad waiting with apprehensions and no news was missing due to the fast pace in the movie.When Mrs.Weasley and those who first arrived were waiting anxiously for the others to arrive, they kept going out and returning without any news, but in the movie they just popped in one after the other immediately.

5. Same was during the later hide out time of Harry, Ron and Hermione.It had taken ages to sit, wait and do nothing.This feeling could have been shown by a change in time.But it all seemed like it was happening over a few days instead of months.Thus Ron getting angry was not in place.

6. Harry’s birthday!!!I kept thinking there has to be a mistake!!I definitely wanted to see what a snitch cake would look like…and the entire scene….everybody sitting around the big table, the magic decorations and celebrations suddenly interrupted by the the Minister of Magic who appears at the burrow on the same day as in the book. Harry had felt so nice with family and friends….

7. Ron giving Harry 'Twelve Fail-Safe Ways to Charm Witches' book, the jokes regarding Potterwatch, and hilarious bits of conversation at Xenophilius Lovegood's house.

8. But in the movie, the Minister just comes out of nowhere.Infact the whole movie is so fast and abrupt as they’ve put so much into such less time frame….but I’d have wanted to see the anger in Harry’s eyes.They all seemed to be in harmony, when he was reading out the will.But in the book, he constantly suspects them, for he suspects Dumbledore to be involved in dark arts and Hermione cant stop taunting him, when she says they should have known there isnt anything hidden after testing for so many months.None of the three showed that rebellion and Harry didn’t hold him by the collar.

9. Bill and Fleur’s wedding and Victor Krum!! Krum is disappointed that Hermione is with Ron. And Harry was unable to understand why Ron gets so irritated until he saw Krum, later thinking Ginny is pretty.The way Harry tries his best not to let him dance with Ginny, even though he had promised Ron to stay away from her.It shows his love and helplessness. Later,it was Krum who points out that the deathly hallow sign is evil, in Xenophille’s locket.

10. Harry didn’t even take polyjuice potion! Thus no cousin Barry.No wonder they wanted more Daniel Radcliffe than Harry.

11. Invisibilty cloak; nobody seemed to like it maybe….It’d have been so nice to see them sneaking as was written in the book…But they were all out in the open. Thus the entire fun of Harry hiding in invisibility cloak and Ron and Hermione ordering was lost.

12. There was absolutely no planning for invading the Ministry although in the book, they spend ages planning.The entire scene of Remus coming and wishing to join them,Harry shouting at him, Kreacher forced to obey Harry and learning to like Hermione also, offering to prepare special food for them, the day they get nearly caught in the ministry was all gone.Kreacher’s part was really sweet in the book, with a change of heart.Even they were feeling sorry that Kreacher’d be waiting and wondering why they didn’t return.

13. The Ministry Polyjuice potion!! It never ran out within the Ministry. They were all in their form, and Harry in his rude, dark , saddist image had convinced the gatekeeper to let them out. But throughout the movie his polyjuice character didn’t seem that angry or repelling.He instead seemed afraid at times.

14. Luna’s room!! I’d longed to see it………I was really really looking forward to see it. But when they did go to the Quibbler editor, they never strayed to Luna’s beautiful room, walls filled with pictures of Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville n all, friends forever written in gold that looked like frame and the cobwebs indicating she hasn’t been here for a long time. As they were all running to end the movie, this portion of suspense and hiding and pretending was all bleak.

The entire part about finding out the hat like thing that later helps in knowing the diadem, and escaping by showing a portion of Harry and Ron in invisibility cloak, so that they don’t kill him was lost.

15. The sadness of waiting was lost and they never see Seamus and overhear his conversation.The radio program was introduced later in the books, not in the beginning.. and they forgot that Lee Jordan was the host of Potterwatch.Thus the relief they were getting out of hearing voices of their own friends and the fun of code names was all lost.

16. I missed Hermione’s grief.It was not enough when Ron had left and Hermione & Harry's dance was totally not needed and stupid.

Though some say it is a brother-and-sisterly dance between Harry and Hermione still it was crap, out of nowhere, wasting time that could have been used for showing so many other things and that awful Harry-Hermione kiss when the locket that torments Ron could have been better.Harry didn’t even tell Ron how he loves Hermione like a sister and how she has been crying for him.

17. Godric’s Hollow:As far as I remember, they had taken polyjuice and had become old couple, and were in invisibility cloak but they were out in open in movie, which is explained in the end that Nagini could know they were inside the invisibility cloak as she smelled them, she didn’t see them. They don’t even see that quote on the tomb of the elder brother.Hermione stays downstairs in Bathilda Bagshot’s house just like that though in the book, she protests again and again to join Harry.

18. The snatchers pop out of nowhere.The entire thing about the name ‘Voldemort’ being a taboo to locate Harry as only Dumbledore and Harry Potter can dare take his name and Ron yelling not to, but Harry in his anger saying Voldemort was gone.

19. Scene at Malfoy Manor . Bellatrix's sadist nature was visible but there was not much torture,no Imperius or the Cruciatus Curse.Ron didn’t seem as sad as was mentioned in the book.He was desperate to save Hermione in the book. Hermione’s screams were also not as powerful.

20. The door to the dungedon in the malfloys house was a solid door in the book. But in the movie, anyone would have noticed the light from the delluminator.

21. Peter Pettigrew. In the book, Pettigrew’s silver hand strangled him to let Harry and Ron go to save Hermione. This had a meaning as Harry had stopped Sirius and Lupin from killing Pettigrew four years ago and the magical debt that Pettigrew had to Harry was symbolic of the goodness of Harry's actions. But in the movie, Dobby stunned Pettigrew and that was the end of his appearance in the movie.

22. Harry didn’t even see the blue eye clearly in the mirror.The entire story about Aberforth and Dumbledore’s reality was also never revealed.The scene outside his place in Hogsmeade could have been better.It was all so sudden and cakes too small.

23. Where the hell did Bill and Fleur’s house go?It came in so late in the movie, though in the book,Harry had buried Dobby in their courtyard. Harry’s physical labour of digging it without magic was also not visible as there was no passing of time.

24. Remus Lupin coming to announce birth of Teddy!!Infact Mr.Teddy was totally absent, except one point when Harry asks, what will happen to your son.Even Tonk’s pink hair was no where to be seen.Even in the end we miss a young Teddy doing what he was doing, lol….and Harry, Ron and Hermione’s reaction to it.

25. I’d expected the dragon at Gringotts to be a little less paler too. lol

26. The entire rebellion at Hogwarts was not even shown in a flashback.

27. In the book, Snape’s killed by Voldemort in the Shrieking Shack. I was looking forward to see it again.But in the movie, it takes place in the Hogwarts “boat house”.

28. Fred Weasely’s death gone wasted.In the book he dies in a hectic battle with Death Eaters, as Harry and Ron close by. In the movie, instead of watching him get killed in action, we see his family mourning over his body in the Great Hall. The depth of the scene is completely lost,so is that of Remus and Tonks all seen dead in the end, just like that.

29. In the Kings Cross Dumbledore had tied all loose ends and explained eevrythign to Harry in the book.But in movie, it was very short.Absolutely nothing was mentioned about Grindelwald and his friendship and how his sister had died.

30. Neville doesn’t get the hat himself!In the book, Voldemort mad in his self-pride, becomes so insane that he himself puts the sorting hat on Neville’s head, from where he draws the Gryffindor sword as he deserves it. He stands up as a leader when Harry’s dead. But in the movie Neville happens to get the hat himself and is seen killing Nagini, the snake, when it tries to attack Ron and Hermione.

Harry had only told Neville, that he must kill the snake, when he knew he was going to die.But nothing like that happens in the movie.

31. In the book, Harry confronts Voldemort in the Great Hall in front of the entire crowd of Hogwarts students, teachers and Death Eaters and tells him the entire reasoning why his wand will not work. In the movie, however, Harry and Voldemort fight alone in the courtyard and when Voldemort is killed, he explodes into a million tiny pieces, but there’s no one to rejoice.

32. Harry doesn’t repair his wand at the end of the film. In the book, Harry uses the elder wand to repair, before disposing of the elder wand itself. In the movie he simply breaks the elder wand in two and throws it away.

undo deleted pics from picasa web albums!!how would you feel if your whole blog is suddenly gone!!

It is irritating, highly irritating yes.............to lose all your data, all your pics, stuff, that you had treasured for so long vanish in a second!!

Infact it's more than frustrating..........it's a loss greater than even money....!!

Till now somehow we had thought that only data from our pc could be lost ,cuz of some horrible virus which would manage to have its way even through antivirus protection. But no, there's more news!! A s if google was doing anything less to make itself less popular, here's another!! If you delete the unnecessary files or folders from anywhere, be it picasa web albums or google +, your entire blog is gone!!!

All the pictures put in , in god knows how many years, with many hours of patience, how much love, affection.....I mean ask me what it takes to put in a pic next to everything i write!!!!
Seriously what's wrong with all these people?? How can they delete it just like that???

And there's no undo button, no option, nowhere?? Where is google?? Who are the mad brains in charge of picasa web albums who don't know that humans do make errors?? How can there be no undo option in 2011???
I mean, fine, there can be mistakes, there can be idiots, but they got to be idiot proof...!!! How is a blog supposed to be affected by one random folder somewhere??
And if so, they must have clearly communicated that when we did start a blog, in the first place, years ago!!
They must have told us that "Look, there is a folder called this n you cannot delete it....."

What the hell....this is devastating.....seriously devastating.....the feeling that people would have when they see exclamation marks in places of pics, for my blog.....I mean, this is impossible!!! How could it be possible.....that they have no back up option, no restore location??

I have been updating my many many blogs.......it's like re-doing the entire thing again....!!! RE-DOING!!
And my Madhuri blog is completely picture blog, i changed some pics, but then it's so difficult to know which of the 25 pics are there, n which are not!!
But touch wood, I wont be saying that, cuz a little while ago, when i felt i fixed the prob with some posts, the pics that used to appear again went away....!!!
I mean fine, they can expect people to have a back up of very dear pics, even if they have it online, but blogger??? Small little pics of a pen or a paper or a heart sign, adds so much to what we write, but we cant be storing them forever.

For gods sake one would think that once you put in on your blog, nobody can change it in your blog, unlessyou made any edits!!!

This is devastating, .....to keep on thinking which pic i had put where and with what tag, there are captions, and it doesnt even allow to just change the path, re-browse and let it locate the file now as it happens in windows movie maker when we change file locations.

And ofcourse, not to forget the alignment problems!!! Each time you put a pic, it doesnt fit in,you want to make it bigger, but then the text wont appear where you want it to., just one word will come down and destroy your entire work. All the patience for nothing!!

And I had expected that if I would upload all the blog pics used into that album again,then I would be able to get it back in all the respective places, like nothing had happened!!! But no, and even when I am trying to put the pics back in place (those that i happen to have in back up) there are alignment problems!!You move it left, and then the exclamation error part wont be removed, it doesnt go, and again both freshly substituted pics shoot up, not being where they are supposed to be!!!

And to think that only today I had been happy seeing that there is an option now in picasa web albums not to allow download of pics............why did i ever got there?? Sigh............

Anybody who blogs, never delete your album in picasa web albums, cuz the fools dont have a recovery option...Seriously, do they expect people born with recycle bins to the rescue, to be always alert,...to such aspects that are beyond reasoning....there's no connection!!!

But i am tired, it takes a lot of courage to blog with blogger with pics,to locate each pic and to put i there, exactly where you want it to be.....its not easy like MS Word,.....and ofcourse it wont even accept copy paste from word!!!
The words would be pasted but then , the pics would again be blank.....Why cant blogger improve??? Blogger people are you listening??? I am fed up.....and especially why does blogger need to depend on picasa web albums!!!!huh

This is a lot less yelling I am doing here than I am supposed to!!!Google is defintely not customer oriented, firstly to make everything public and interlinked from buzz to private stuff and then this!!!

So many times in your life, all you want to do is....get it out somehow...Somehow you cant take it anymore.
You want to connect with everybody and you dont know how.You want to do everything at the same time, and you dont know how. All those things that you had mastered so well, sometime back are changed now, and you are no where again. You have to start afresh. (This new blogger dashboard…I liked the earlier colorful version….I hate this one!!)

This internet is kind of a myth, I feel at times…we get frustrated cuz we have believed that it is impossible not to get certain information. But it does happen at times that you get an info on even google that ‘no search results match your search’.

Then, is believing wrong? Is it really wrong to be hopeful. Or is it wrong that we are being expectant in the name of being hopeful? But then as in my blog about before sunset, Before sunset quotes

(not wanting anything, isn't that...a symptom of depression?)

Well……………it’s good to be happy……….really really good to be happy…………but why isn’t that easy, enough?

You would really wana do so many things, and everything would be stuck somewhere, and you would want it your way, to happen all by time, and they wont. Guess I’m just freaking out, and just as I knew it, this is a mad mad post………but the fact that with my super busy life, I haven’t been able to blog for such a long time was also bugging me, so somehow I felt that even it’s gonna be mah worst post, I just need to face it and…….. I just had to get it off my chest………phew!

Well, this has been a long waited post….maybe I have been lazy…(well there’s no maybe about it!!)

Writing a blog, isn’t that easy, now is it? (especially, if you are as mad as me!!)

You will need…..ummm….

1. Some really mad thoughts (the easiest to obtain)

2. A great zeal to actually go sit and start typing in the lappy (the toughest one)

3. Pictures (no matter how much I try to resist….I eventually fall in to it…..(it’s really good to have some visuals explaining your words, isn’t it?)

4. A steady internet connection!!! (only if you are lucky!)

5. Patience to actually fit each pic next to the words so that it makes some sense!! (only if you are not so tired)

So, I finally did it, here I am….

Red hat – Feelings & Emotions

Time to put on my red hat…. Yes, you read it right; you again have to bear the emotional me!!

All this while I have been wondering how on earth people get so many comments on their blogs, or how people actually keep appreciating and discussing about their blogs…….well……not that I haven't been appreciated….I have had all those great people who loved my blog (And….happened to be the only people to comment…well majority!!)

But, the main thing is, there are many people who get people from the web to read and keep reading their blog…that’s something I could never know.

Green hat – New Ideas
Of all the things I have learnt…(count, the blog designing, I did myself…the gadgets I kept adding, the change of fonts,….and the recent wibiya bar at the bottom,….nobody never really taught me,..so, I learnt it the hard way….trial and error!! But I am there to help others…:P) I just couldn’t understand if the huge happy fat number on the right (number of page views…currently 3809) actually belongs to people who revisit…

And people who do revisit (minus the trusted ones from my real life, I very well know, do revisit every time, happily contributing to the increasingly fat number of Indian audience in my blogger stats)…why don’t they comment?

Well I recently read on problogger, that comments should be easy and you must ask for them and you should reply back to them.(I expect people to, so I do…but who actually visits back the site to see if the blogger replied?)

I recently even removed text verification, yet no comments….So many people call me up, text me, IM me, telling me I am good, I got a great blog, but no one even clicks in the reactions!! At least tick mark in the reactions at the bottom of the post….I even added a “i like it” option owing to the fact that, post fb, people only understand “like”

But still people seem to be too lazy even to click!

Well, look who’s complaining ?me?...ya, I know you said that….talk of all the “as you sow so you reap!”

When I search for pics, on google, I rarely visit the blog, I just go back after saving the pic.(cuz the blogger, post it from url never works for me!!) But I do try to read many blogs and comment on every blog I like, even the ones that require text verification (every single comment I’ve posted had needed it!!)

Sometimes, I have shown perseverance to even write the same long comment thrice if I had a net problem….

It’s not that people do not get comments, they do. That is exactly what troubles me, they do nothing….nothing at all…..they keep writing one post after another, and then they have so many comments in each..sometimes 18, ….even if we divide by 2,(for replies by the blogger herself)..there are still 9 people who took the pain to comment, right?

Maybe it’s right that we speak everything about the topic and leave no scope for answering…(yeah, yeah quite likely!! *sigh* )

But asking can be worse…what if people do not comment even after you ask them!! (That could actually be a hint to people who’d happily assumed that you have turned off comments, maybe!!)

Same with the blogger awards, I couldn’t figure out who would be so grateful to give me one, I don’t seem to have amazing connections with generous bloggers (All I have is readers, who say they would, definitely give me loadsa awards if they knew how to)

That’s the most interesting part, isn’t it? I should search up, and ask people to give me blogger awards?? Isn’t that insane??

THE LATEST TWIST IN BALIKA VADHU: ANANDI, JAGIA AND GAURI(part two)

Every time you actually think that these people will actually get some brains and make the show a little more believable or likable, they just do the opposite....yep...they prove you wrong....

This time, just as I had lost all hope and had read that Gauri will be the one who will be with Jagya, in that car that reaches the badi haveli in jetsar. ……seeing Gauri react so violently had given me some hope that maybe this time Jagdish would be punished for doing all he has done.

But, no,….to my utter horror, Gauri has forgiven Jagat and is pleading infront of his parents, not to ruin three lives, and let her be with Jagat, and so it happens eventually , despite all those warnings from her parents of not stepping into the same past, Gauri marries Jagat!!!

Whether or not, she would actually turn negative and take revenge from Jagya’s family remains to be seen.

Maybe I have missed a bit, but can anyone tell me, exactly what caused the change in events? I mean just one night, he sits without food in rain outside her house….and she forgives?? Atleast in The last kiss, it was better, he had sat like that for ages….!!

And Jagya was taken to hospital for that, and then Gauri forgave him like nothing had ever happened or does she have a grey shade here…

But, whatever insane things are happening in Balika Vadhu, twist after twist…and insane twists…..I had come to like the Gauri character a bit, her strength, and the way she had not given in, the way is cried was much better acting than Anjum had shown till now. But, alas…..the turn of events……and what do they say in the end message??when tears wash away the torment, the spots of deception, a woman’s love starts blossoming again….huh…is it so easy?? Just crying out and then you are done? Wow, then every guy would simply wait till her love has cried and finished crying.

For those who don’t know, here’s it in short.

Finally in May 2011, truth about the name Jagat, about Anandi, about his lies, came out as Gauri rushed to meet his parents without telling him, without seeing the letter he had written already telling her all about it. She went to Lal Singh’s house where he and his wife gave the address, and then Gauri reached the Jagya’s house. On the way she learnt that Anandi was actually Anandi and not Nandini, as Jagat had lied so beautifully. She saw the family photos and she even realized that she was the second wife of Jagat.

She was shocked, tormented, cried the hell out of herself, Jagat came running after her, when she told him on the phone that she hates him(after 68 misscalls,……….cant help my attention to detail…lol)

She confronted him,when he came running after her(And they had even forgotten to take out the water pipe, that was creating that artificial pond,….lol)

Gauri threw her payal in the water…cuz Jagya had given it to her.I wonder , now that she has forgiven him, would she go back and get it??

She yelled so much, showed such determination to wave him off, but if she eventually forgave him and married him, whats the use!!!

IDENTITY THEFT

‘You’ are no longer ‘you’, cuz somebody else is ‘you’ now. Your bank account is no longer yours, you don’t have any money left, all your savings are gone forever, your house is no longer yours, the project that you’d worked so hard on is no longer yours, nobody knows you made it, cuz there’s absolutely no proof, nothing that you had, not even your name, is yours any longer….!! That’s what identity theft can do to you.

This fear of misuse of information often restricts us from being ourselves, being free & open…..Infact this fear is probably even more gripping than the bearish market trends…..I mean, even a little kid wouldn’t talk to his teacher about his science project, thinking its too good, and what if……….what if ….the teacher actually stole the idea and took the credit for it! Well, not that it doesn’t happen….it does….so many times, in highly research oriented stuff….that sometimes has shared names of the professor and their scholars, you do not know, who did most of the work…..and sometimes, your research guide wouldn’t even consider giving you any credit for it and instead publish it in his own name….

Fear….is one of the worst things in the world……it...kills you. You cannot even write a simple blog post, cuz somebody would copy it. You cannot write a song of your own and post it on youtube, somebody can easily download it and say he had made it….nobody would know he didn’t, unless they find your work on youtube too….especially if they are not going public with it, and its just their college function, and the guy brags to his teachers how he spent hours writing that song, I bet nobody would know…..and the cream of the joke….unless this somebody,…in god knows which part of the world…and god knows how many kms away from you ….posts his performance on youtube too….. you have just no way of knowing about it!!

Well, you will probably tell me that plagiarism is everywhere….there’s no way escaping it, that doesn’t mean we would be a frog in a well, does it? Well, I do not know. It depends on how much you care!! I would really like to post songs, videos, photos….and all that, but I could really freak out if I found it on somewhere else, completely tampered with, degraded and what not. Not that I am saying about the horribly bad stuff, misusing and taking advantage and all that,…but even the fun factor of making things comic…I cannot take it …..somebody playing with my stuff. Although I still do not know of any site, where we can upload things that cannot be downloaded,…(if you do, pls do tell me!!)…..well……………….as they say….people can still take a screenshot anyways!!!....So, there you are, wishing to unleash your creativity….wishing to share….but then you can’t!!

Well, I like picasa web albums private feature, where you can just let only those people see them whose email addresses you have put in it, and the best part….you can even remove the addresses later on, and they cannot always go back to that link to see it.

Its generally the friends only option on social networking sites like orkut and fb that scary.I mean …we are “supposed” to trust all our friends….but we are also “supposed” to add our friends’ friends, cuz it would be rude otherwise, and we are definitely supposed to add all our classmates…even if we have never actually known them…but then there have been instances of “so called-friends” who are there all the time with you in school,college, take snaps every now and then, in groups, flocks, whatever you call it…you wanna be in them….its their cam, so definitely you don’t know if they make a pig out of you or a cat…or…..worse still……choose the worst of your photographs to be showcased on your farewell night infront of a bunch of two year juniors and all your teachers who could just be wondering “OMG!...She looked…like…that?”

You could tell me that they are always the intellectual property rights…but ofcourse you won’t take a patent for your invention….god knows if it is even worth it….n god knows how many years could go in taking that….and the copyrights………*sigh*

Tell me about it…!! According to the law, the moment we create something from our mind and actually publish it, or share it in written form, i.e.: posting a blog on a said date, or even mailing it to somebody….its ours…just ours….we are the sole copyright holder,…and anybody who publishes the same work in his name on a lter date can be easily sued.

Sounds great, right? You don’t have to apply for anything…no registration fees …nothing…In any case, paying for a registered copyright, is just a proof of the date…that you can later use in court.(Anyways given the frequency at which people blog, there’s no way one could buy a copyright for each of their posts!!)

But how many people actually know that it is a crime to copy completely or even portions of something and say its your own and that they can have legal proceedings against them for that? Well….you guessed it!! Not many!!! I mean…seriously…in this age of internet, where nearly everybody in a urban world is a netizen, it’s a habit to copy paste.

An acquaintance of mine, asked me the other day,…’Hey, your blog looks great….do you mind if I copy that post of yours and tell my girlfriend that I wrote it?’

My eyes were goggling out, yes. And since then I have this little “DO NOT COPY” sign on the right hand side corner of my blog.

What I actually thought after this incident is….he asked me, what if there are so many who haven't asked me and,….and whats the guarantee that he wouldn’t ….after…I said no….I mean…c’mon, there’s no way I could know!!

I tried the sites that search if your work has been copied anywhere…I mean they search for duplicate stuff….

Recharging on the net, transferring funds, paying for charity, is so cool to do just from your lappy. But then you always have the fear……….is it really safe? I mean I freak out completely if I do not see https in any part of the transaction!! Call me paranoid for that. But then you can’t blame me. These newspapers keep pouring in news of this and that all the time! And not that, its just a hype…..you…..know….it happens!!

I saw that my fb account had been logged in from NewZealand the other day.And…yes…I freaked out!! I ran a search, went to the facebook security….changed passwords…always run it in https now,…secured connection…do not go for apps that require a http connection….

Sometimes, its really funny that https is not only secure but also fast, then why don’t the browsers run https in default !!

I just wish things could be safer and easier at the same time.
