Since my obsession with scents begin, it just grow within me day by day. I remembered owning many bottles of perfume collecting from different countries I visited. Egypt's exotic glass bottle

perfume of different essential oils.

Massive bottles of fresh Lavender from Marseille La Provence and several scents which is so refreshing and relaxing. Especially the Lavender ..so pure and sweet.

I do really enjoy mixing the scents upon some happy nights out like social dance with a group of close friends. Or when I feel desire of something 'unique' and wish to have scent that no one feel familiar and can't spell the name as they aren't be bought over any counters. Sometimes it smells sweet coconut , sometimes baby powder & floral , leathery sweet honey cinnamon or hot vanilla & woods. Vanilla with anything is still my favorite! Very sweet, very warm and lovely.

New hobbies are like childhood folded colored stars collecting in a glass jar that I used to make when I was young. Stars of different colors, together, they just make life so colorfully beautiful. With previous ladies paintings in my collection, finally I have a chance to see them on my favorite scents' packaging - Riya Perfume. Now, I better experience the theory where dots of life events will somehow make connection in one's life. Previous paintings are just collected in one corner. I wouldn't have known before that they shall be exploited perfectly with my favorite new passion with scents at this point in time.

Here I am watching my ladies in water paintings come to live on my favorite selected scented solid perfume case and hair perfume. A mixture of vintage, exotic and exuberant of femininity in the tiny fragrance tin cases. And on the matching scents for the hair perfume in a see through glass bottle.

Nothing else speaks louder than a fragrance of lady's hair in a crowded train. With dresses to kill, and make up that locks many eyes, fragrance, yes ! ..fragrance..portrays a thousands of what lies beneath. And truth is.. fragrance is a finnish line of appearance. A picture might speaks a thousand words; and true enough scent is the finishing line...never fail that last line.

Paintings have been part of my hobby when I was homesick while living overseas back then.And every now and then to take away my boredom and unnecessary fast pace and worries that life brings. Seeing colors, brushes and paper on the table in a room just give me a feeling of a friend waiting to greet me when I open the door upon returning to my room. Portraits are my favorite and I remembered drawing many faces of whom are rather astounding in some moments of my life. My passed away grand parents, Van Goh, Princess Diana , my siblings, some models whose facial expression just drawn on me etc. are those in my pencil drawing hobby. While water paintings has become more apparent lately for portraits besides jewelry design.

More fun is about to begin...

Woke up feeling all excited about the upcoming Mediterranean trip.. I couldn't have imagined life any better for the moment.

Freedom to fly for self-indulgence is the sweetest juice I am longing to savour. Though my episode on 'stable' life is yet to be listed in my latest agenda.

Packing for exotic cities , gather inspirations for paintings and writings are just so it.

Coupled with the exciting divergence of my family business to cater to for upcoming next few months , before another yet solo-flight trip begins!

"Sometimes the best way to spend time is with my sweetest passion." (with a turn off 'vacancy' sign of a cab or jolly well a door knob sign that says - DO NOT DISTURB.;)

So far I have pocketed some of my fav. idols..one being - Pamela Redmond..whose life already got me on the first paragraph which says : " I am a Jersey Girl who keeps trying to leave.....and keeps coming back." First day of Riya Perfume on sell ~

6th April , 2011. Today the first sell begins! It's all happened so fast , so spontaneous and so readily since the first realization that I am so into you - perfume.

Always been addicted to scents and could feel so naked and low confident without wearing them. And I could still remember the last time I was on a business trip in Guangzhou and because of difficulty in packing my favorite scent of elegant glass bottle, I reluctant to pack them in my suitcase.Only to have real regret later when I didn't wear any scent during the day, or my favorite night scent before going to bed.

Back months ago, I was on trip with my mum to Korea and spotted 'Solid Perfume' on sales in one indy shop along busy designers' brands street feeling that the scent is not my favorite. Plus they don't seem to stay long enough. While some of them prices are too far fetch. That memory of solid perfume encounter thrives with me unknowingly. As deep down, I do like the convenient of small packaging and carrying them anytime , anywhere in my purse ..even up on the planes (where they nowadays refuses passengers to carry certain amount of liquid.) And my favorite scents never store in tiny bottles anyhow.

Out of blue, I have been trying to experiment -how to make the scents last. Together with my 'Ah yi' ( aunt) who equally addicted to beautiful scents. We contacted with manufacturers and working on researching days in and days out. And with one close friend 's comment on the scent that I am wearing and wondering what is it.. well, I think it is time...just do it.

"My favorite one - Gypsy ...Jasmine as base note , Vanilla and Cinnamon Spice as top notes...so warm & sweet."

We make sure only fine ingredients are added to make them the most beautiful and healthy scents of our dreams. Pure virgin coconut oil, sweet almond oil, Vitamin E , Shea butter etc. are use along with the high concentrated and good quality scents for some are imported from France , while local one ( from Thailand ) and derived from local flowers such as jasmine, orchid , 'Mok' flowers etc.

The easy to apply balm comes in 2 packaging styles of exotic packaging labels. The scents, unlike those from alcohol spray bottles, tend to be more subtle, not too strong yet fresh and clean of after shower. And most importantly stay for long hours.

Meanwhile, the hair perfume spray with no alcohol or chemicals while nourishing and helps hair to shine will soon be added. When hair blows with fragrance, somehow my spirit got lifted too. Daily tasks become easy deal with happy mood from clean and fresh of my fragrance hair as I breathe. Just one thing about myself back in school days of doing long hours' exam, I always ensure long bath with fresh hair and body scents. :P It really tickle my brain and mood.

And today the first sell outlet happens together with sales agent to distribute the goods and getting order for retailers. It will be a long way ..well, a long and sweet scent way indeed. For all I know now is - thanks god it happens. :)

Jewel CAD class: student's works

Design by sketching with simply a pencil has a different feel in creating a design from the mind onto a paper. And undeniably it's my favorite moment simply just to sketch. Sometimes with brushes couple with water colors. It was as if paints and brushes apparently turn to snorkel gear where I took them and jumped into the the turquoise blue sea ; escaping into world of my own. Apparently, it was also a way of passing the moment of loneliness or homesickness days.

On the other hand, Jewel CAD - a computer aided program that got me feel like an astronaut launching out into the space. With technical tools , imagination is out of bound. It's totally different feeling in hitting a keyboard rather than holding a brush. And with the given chance to teach part-time in Jewel CAD, I think my time is fulfilled when I see works of fresh designs rather than basic design patterns that doesn't communicate much of what's going on in the mind.

Proudly present works from Ms Thanyalak, a very diligent lady who constantly delight and impress me with her works. Here are some of her designs. Along with Ryan , a sculptor turning jewelry designer. His works is pretty much himself - smooth curve and in harmony. And all I can say is it's great work from the beginner of the field.

My Irresistible Obsession With Aquamarine

"Nothing taste so sweet as self-indulgence.."

For me, it means picking up my favorite gems,painting my imagination and watch them come out live.

Though Blue Sapphire is my birthstone, and undeniably one of my favorite gem. Yet, the intense blue somehow appeal too tense for the light windy summer. Whereas the chatoyant of cabochon aquamarine can be so passionate, mild and lively. For the moment this is it. Something for the new , fresh beginning which I would like to have next to me.

This baby blue and milky with chatoyant phenomenon of this oceanic hue of aquamarine just swept me off my feet.

Undeniable pieces hence been generated one after another. Here, pure joyful spirit of aquamarine butterfly necklace, along with pastel pink sapphire and pearls.

Of all the festive i possibly have known..X'mas is my utmost favorite.

Somehow, the weather got sweetly cold; trees got romantically leafless look;

darkness sky got light up from the ground of cotton snow.

..marvelous isn't it...

..Holy musics of X'mas songs somehow communicate with my inner spirit and it got me goose pimples time after time. The dazzling and joyful colors of the Xmas decors along every streets hums along the tunes. And it's undeniable..so undeniable that EXCITEMENT is in the air...

@ Old town, Stockholm, Sweden...last visited back in 2003. Extremely cold on the skin.

In One Thousand and One Nights collection, bracelets and Pendants are inspired from the Arabic, Persian, Indian, Egyptian and Mesopotamian folklore and literature's during early era;

(Pictures below are some of the pieces from this collection.) Islamic and mostly floral patterns. Black and grey tone are portraying the night sky with gemstones resemblance the sparkling night stars.

During the break from Nelly Rodi's speaker- mingling with other arts fonders and friends with design professions and was delighted to run into old faces. :)

Finally got a chance to go through each trend publication. And... bohemain is innnnn !!!! Bohemain is always my true calling, be it - funky, sweet, or gypsy Bohemain, I just can't deny them.Yes!, Arabian, Russian, Indian and Malaysian arts are included for the glamour and exotic for 2011 Year Trend; didn't get to see Oriental China this time though.

And more pink for accecorries. Pink is the new Black indeed. With yellow included along the bland of natural texture of wooden furniture for fresh and lively mood.

" The trend of society will be get together- 'sharing'. Friends would like to invite friends over to share their life stories, home food and hang out. The trend of share renting apartment is also on the rise , esp. in Europe. Not that people want to share the rent burden; but more of wanting to have company to live with as to eliminate lonliness. " - -'

Just numerous to digest in a day, but yes I got snaps of photos to rerun when my brain needs it to analyse later. Hopefullly, together with my heart working on passion of style that I just can't resist ,couple with this juicy bits of informaiton, I should manage to come up with interesting pieces and also ..be readily in time , getting back on track in pursuing jewlery design competition, and participate in the coming design competition events. ;) * keeping fingers cross*

Copy Writings & Reporter Works on Gems & Jewelry

Apart from passion in gemstones and jewlery design, these are some of my works on copy writings , reporter and editing jobs, which I had been offered and naturally learnt that I do infact enjoy working on them.

Laws and regulations will mean how the resources will be allowed to emerged in the trading market. It's my pleasant in interviewing with this friendly man who works on the reguations and what Madagascar has to offered to the gemstones market. As a matter of fact, Madagascar has continously been providing the world with many types of gemstones. He also expressed that in African countries, the techniques know how on cutting , treating and processing the rough is still behind Chantaburi. Though in their countries, they have the natural resouces, but they would carry their rough pieces to Thailand to be processed from rough to polished gemstones readily for the market consumptions.

In his flew in from Italy , live straight to the seminar hall, it was infact an amazing speech and great inspiration to be listening to the man himself on his talk on topic Jewlery Fashion Trend : Looking forward to year 2020. A guy who told us interesting stories and that he used to take his jewlery career to mass market from previously unique and nich market, then he found it was what he referred :" Working on mass design is such a pain in my ass!" It just so cleared to me that he is in fact- a true jewelry designer indeed, not just in a name. And not.. a jewelry businessman. He had been designing for queens and known figures , as they just open the safe door :" Can you help me make these pieces beautiful ?"

Somehow who would deny the fact that , jewlery with no design, or design that won't communicate of the new era, the precious materials are being unfairy devalued!

Interesting to know more of how ICA helps to promote color gemstones worldwide. And it's always interesting to know which stones are being promoted and in which regions. As this will simply indicate the prices that will go up. Unlike diamond and its rappaport chart to indicate the price and set the standard price worldwide, gemstones is rather unique and doesn't work that way. There is no report of standard price. But prices are by all means naturally controlled by the various factors. It can include politics e.g. U.S. Sanction on Burmese 's goods and so ruby , which does infact affect its value. Also factors such as new found mines, new treatments, new marketing campaigns - e.g. Tiffany's promotion of Tazanite after getting large hold of these natural resource and the world become aware of the gemstone which eventually get its value and prices higher.

Green sapphire from Chantaburi provice is known by the trade name among locals as " Kaio Song" , or 'Green Emit' as the grayish green tone will reveal its green when looking through the sunlight.
In the past, this green sapphire is being heat treated to turn the color from green to yellow , as that time yellow sapphire fetch higher price than green sapphire. However, it is a vice versa case in the present market.

One fine afternoon in my hometown. Looking back, something did in fact move on with time. Sitll, something that has been orignially known in this town still pretty much thrive on.

Chantaburi - Thailand 's small ruby mines town. These pictures are taken through the lens of highly skilful photographers who won prizes in capturing the best dreamlike moment of today town where obviously, the small city has not lost its soul ever.

The park which is known amoung locals as the lung of the city. This's used to be my playground and even now whenever I need fresh air and jogging.

Besides the nature scenes of fresh water and fresh air, it would not complete the pictures without mentioning about the king of fruit - world renowned durian among other fruits which ripes at each flooded the plantations during different seasons.Ensuring fresh fruits for all throughout each year. And yes, together with gemstones weekend market and located closed to various known beaches in Thailand , Chantaburi is in fact a small nice city indeed.

Although Tsavorite is not considered by many to be on the verge of extinction as is commonly believed of the Tanzanite, it is and always has been, an exceptionally rare gemstone. Only a small amount of fine Tsavorite crystals are found each year and many of these are small. Good sized 1-2 carat fine stones are difficult to get and the 2+ carat fine Tsavorites are very rare indeed. This is definitely a precious stone of the caliber of which heirlooms are made.
