I became confused when I heard the word

"Service" used with these agencies:

Internal Revenue 'Service' U.S. Postal 'Service' Telephone 'Service' Cable TV 'Service' Civil 'Service' State, City, County & Public 'Service' Customer 'Service'
This is not what I thought 'Service' meant.

But today, I overheard two farmers talking, and one of them said he had hired a bull to 'Service' a few cows.

BAM!!! It all came into focus. Now I understand what all those agencies are doing to us.

I would hope that you are now just as enlightened as I am.

Why not do like the French and ban traditional female Muslim dress?

Since the left is so in love with the European way of doing things. why doesn't Nancy Pelosi have the same fate as a House Of Commons party leade, aka Prime Minister who's party had lost control in a similar beat down? In Europe she would not only lose her governmental office, she would lose party leadership.

It wasn't the revenge of older white people, it wasn't a bunch of Tea Party wing nuts although, unfortunately they had some success. It was about promises to the American people, the electorate, not the true believing party hack zombies of the left and THE RIGHT. It was about the frustrated, independent voter, many of whom voted for President Obama with much hope of seeing bipartisan work in Washington. What they got was closed door meetings, information black outs and come mid term elections a "vote for us we know better than you" attitude.

It wasn't failure to communicate. It was failure to make promises and folloe through on them.

The AARP announced health care cost for it's employees is being raised between 8% and 13%. Di not they, the Obama administration and Nancy Pelosi promise those of us on company health care plans would SAVE money and that our health care coverage WOULD NOT BE EFFECTED by the reform?

Unlike former Presidents Clinton and even Bush 43. President Obama seems to have failed to get the message voters sent on Tuesday. It wasn't just "the economy" people were angry about. It was the sanctimonious "We know better than you." attitude of the Democratic leadership in the White House, The House of Representatives and the Senate. Remember the Health Care debate? Remember the promises of "more open and accountable government? Where was it during the Health Care debate? Not to mention the out right "buying" of votes to get it passed. If the "evil" rich people and corporations rewarded congressmen and senators for votes like that, someone would be going to jail. A guess bribery of office holders by office holders doesn't qualify as a crime. The Health Care bill is a noble idea, but the rush to pass it, the very idea of "We'll know what's in there after we pass it" at best smells of high incompetence in office and contempt for the American people.

Your base did show up Tuesday Mr. President. Unfortunately for you and the Democrats, swing voters who are not zombies of the Democrats or the Republicans have had enough. (A note to the Republicans, if you don't take care of business you can be voted out also.) You are the leader Mr. President, so come up with some new ideas yourself. As someone I know likes to remind me. "The President proposes, Congress disposes."

While I'm ranting. let's not forget immigration policy.

If we cut the budget to the point of crippling their ability to do their job, who will defend us? The Yellow Berets?

Attention John Boehner and Mitch McConnell if you can't or won't get the job done, guess what will happen.

Casey's Revenge

There were saddened hearts in Mudville for a week or even more;
There were muttered oaths and curses -- every fan in town was sore.
"Just think," said one, "how soft it looked with Casey at the bat!
And then to think he'd go and spring a bush-league trick like that."

All his past fame was forgotten; he was now a hopeless "shine."
They called him "Strike-out Casey" from the mayor down the line,
And as he came to bat each day his bosom heaved a sigh,
While a look of hopeless fury shone in mighty Casey's eye.

The lane is long, someone has said, that never turns again,
And fate, though fickle, often gives another chance to men.
And Casey smiled -- his rugged face no longer wore a frown;
The pitcher who had started all the trouble came to town.

All Mudville had assembled; ten thousand fans had come
To see the twirler who had put big Casey on the bum;
And when he stepped into the box, the multitude went wild.
He doffed his cap in proud disdain -- but Casey only smiled.

"Play ball!," the umpire's voice rang out, and then the game began;
But in that throng of thousands there was not a single fan
Who thought that Mudville had a chance; and with the setting sun

The last half of the ninth came round, with no change in the score;

A triple meant the highest niche in Mudville's hall of fame;

A dismal groan in chorus came -- a scowl was on each face --
When Casey walked up, bat in hand, and slowly took his place;
His bloodshot eyes in fury gleamed; his teeth were clinched in hate;
He gave his cap a vicious hook and pounded on the plate.

But fame is fleeting as the wind, and glory fades away;
There were no wild and wooly cheers, no glad acclaim this day.
They hissed and groaned and hooted as they clamored, "Strike him out!"
But Casey gave no outward sign that he had heard this shout.

The pitcher smiled and cut one loose; across the plate it spread;
Another hiss, another groan. "Strike one!" the umpire said.
Zip! Like a shot, the second curve broke just below his knee--
"Strike two!" the umpire roared aloud; but Casey made no plea.

No roasting for the umpire now -- his was an easy lot;
But here the pitcher whirled again -- was that a rifle shot?
A whack! a crack! and out through space the leather pellet flew,
A blot against the distant sky, a speck against the blue.

Above the fence in center field, in rapid whirling flight,
The sphere sailed on; the blot grew dim and then was lost to sight.
Ten thousand hats were thrown in air, ten thousand threw a fit,
But no one ever found the ball that mighty Casey hit!

HOW TO SELL ... TOOTHBRUSHES

The kids filed back into class Monday morning. They were very excited.
Their weekend assignment was to sell something, then give a talk on
productive salesmanship.

Little Sally led off: "I sold girl scout cookies and I made $30," she said
proudly, "My sales approach was to appeal to the customer's civil spirit and

I credit that approach for my obvious success."

"Very good," said the teacher.

Little Jenny was next:

"I sold magazines," she said, "I made $45 and I explained to everyone that
magazines would keep them up on current events."

"Very good, Jenny," said the teacher..

Eventually, it was Little Johnny's turn.

The teacher held her breath ...

Little Johnny walked to the front of the classroom and dumped a box full of
cash on the teacher's desk. "$2,467," he said.

"$2,467!" cried the teacher, "What in the world were you selling"

"Toothbrushes," said Little Johnny.

"Toothbrushes," echoed the teacher,

"How could you possibly sell enough tooth brushes to make that much money?"

"I found the busiest corner in town," said Little Johnny, "I set up a Dip &

New Stimulus Package?

Sometime this year, we taxpayers will again receive another 'Economic Stimulus' payment.

This is indeed a very exciting program, and I'll explain it by using a Q and A format:

Q. What is an 'Economic Stimulus' payment ?

A.. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.

Q.. Where will the government get this money ?

A. From taxpayers.

Q. So the government is giving me back my own money ?

A. Only a smidgen of it.

Q. What is the purpose of this payment ?

A. The plan is for you to use the money to purchase a high-definition TV set,

thus stimulating the economy.

Q. But isn't that stimulating the economy of China ?

A.. Shut up.

Below is some helpful advice on how to best help the U.S. economy by spending your stimulus check wisely:

If you spend the stimulus money at Wal-Mart, your money will go to China or Sri Lanka .

If you spend it on gasoline, your money will go to the Arabs.

If you purchase a computer, it will go to India , Taiwan or China .

If you purchase fruit and vegetables, it will go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala ..

If you buy an efficient car, it will go to Japan or Korea .

If you purchase useless stuff, it will go to Taiwan .

If you pay your credit cards off, or buy stock, it will go to management bonuses and they will hide it offshore.

Instead, keep the money in America by:

1) Spending it at yard sales, or

2) Going to ball games, or

3) Spending it on prostitutes, ,or

4) Beer or

5) Tattoos.

(These are the only American businesses still operating in the U.S. )

Conclusion:

Go to a ball game with a tattooed prostitute that you met at a yard sale and drink beer all day !

What can we do? After all most major coproations in the U.S. At least keep up a pretense about being good coporate citizens. So did Al capone in his own way. Is seizing assets called for? Possibly, except the unintended consequnce of that could be the loss of several thousand jobs wiht good pay and benifits. Does that REALLY help any one? A dwbatable point at best.

Actually a former President has already given us a guide on what to to do:

TR had the right of it. Let the BP CEO be a cellmate for Mr. Sabford. If you fine Coporate officers, they no doubt will be reimbured by the company. I don't think you'll see to me members of the bord of directors or stok holders volunteering to do time in Federal Prison for them. And no “Club Feds” for these cretins. Send them to Atlanta.
