Rochdale Night Service

Bu-Val is pleased to announce the start of the Rochdale Night Bus which will hopefully bring in people from the surrounding areas and give them a taste of the Rochdale night life. Bu-Val is working with Rochdale Council and Rochdale Town Centre Management with a view to increase interest and spending within the town centre. The night service will run initially for six weeks and if it proves to be successful may result in a permanent service. For more information see our news section.

Rochdale Christmas lights switch on

Tonight Bu-Val Buses will attend the Rochdale Christmas lights switch on to promote our new Saturday Christmas shopping services.

Bu-Val will be launching 50p travel on Rochdale Saturday services on the run up to Christmas in support of local shops and businesses.

Working in association with the Love Rochdale campaign we hope to encourage shoppers to use public transport and to shop locally.

Albert Royd St

Albert Royd street has now been re-opened to traffic and should help reduce congestion along Halifax Road and Smithybridge Road.

Roadworks 458

Could passengers of the 458 service please be aware of the potential disruption due to roadworks on entrance to Starring way. We have received information regarding the work, but they were not due to start till next Saturday.

Services traveling to Wardle will now serve Wardle chapel again as the parking situation appears to have eased.

462 Roadworks

Roadworks on the corner of Milnrow Rd & Princess Rd are causing delays to this service. Drivers will where possible try to stick to route, but the temporary lights are adding to the congestion.

456/8 service

Service 456/8 will for a temporary measure, not be traveling from the top of Wardle Rd up to Wardle chapel. Workmen and temporary traffic lights are causing health & safety concerns. There is also a concern of service reliability.

455 /6/8 diversion

Service 455,456 & 458 will return to their normal route today, as roadworks on Smithybridge Rd come to an end. However the 456 & 458 could still suffer delays due to temporary lights at Wardle.

School holiday services

Access problems

We are currently affected by access issues at our Smithybridge depot by inconsiderate parking.

441 Service

Bu-Val will cease to operate the 441 route from the end of this month.
A new operator will take over the route, hopefully there will be no disruption to passengers.

484 Diversion

Road works on the corner of Heywood Rd will be in place for 1 week commencing monday 19th July.
