Here I’ll show you how to carve and make a statue using Balinese Carving Chisel. When I was a kid my family taught me the basic knowledge start from introduction to the work tools, sharpening the chisels head, help them to make the bottom statue
until the sanding process of finish sculpture .the basic level start from learning to make turtles, ducks, cats until the next stage of making a half-human body statue.
1.the necessary tools ;(see Photo)

a set of carving chisels include of wooden hammer [mallet]
2 auxiliary tools ;
jigsaw or handsaw, measurement, handdrill, sanding paper, miserly iron or grinding

Material Selection;

in this case are optional, it's up to you to choose, can use wood, stone or mixed plaster for this learning, I use lime stone from Yogyakarta. and I make a square size of 8cm x 8cm length 13cm

we begin the step by step making of a little turtle from soft stone material

Step.1:

make a simple sketching on the materials surfaces.

triangle line sketch for head shape and shell, legs and tail position

no need the real and clear sketch , because we will make a sketch repeatedly

during the manufacturing process

Step.2:
cut with a chisel or a handsaw the square part of the stone to get a triangular

shape like the picture below.

Step.3:

Repeat the sketch, this time deepened with the use of a small handsaw or

chisel marker

Step.4:

make a sketch at the bottom of stone to show the position of the head, legs and

tail. note and be careful for the line and central meeting point that being a part

of a shared balanced. use a chisel to deepen the line marker

Step.5:

beginning to carve and separates the head shape and the shell

saw the shape from the top and sides so that the shells and heads will be well

formed. I suggest you to buy a tortoise (turtle) to learn the anatomy

Step.6:

clarify parts of the legs, round it off and adjust the size of the head with the

shell shape. use the curve or straight chisel with the right size, so it will not

leave a scar or scratch on the surface which has a certain size

Step.7:

This is the most important stage in the process, here we required an exercises,

regularly and repeatedly for the anatomy appreciation . because you work in

detail to explore the overall shape of turtles. you should be guided by coaches

in order not to make mistakes.

some tips

1. always keep sharping your chisel to avoid damaging the material and object

2. confirm the composition of the divided sketch approach a symmetrical so that the

object is not physically handicapped.
3. use the chisel with the right size to avoid damaged the surface

Most of the spatial structure in the cities of Indonesia build their concepts of park as a part of beautifying the city, town lungs that reduce air pollution even the government socializing an Interactive Park which also can be used for public activities, communicate and relax. But unfortunately, these concepts are not yet mature and synchronized, the park that conceptualized to make beauty the City does not serve as the City's lungs, and vice versa. While interactive park that proclaimed are not visible leads to the vibrant city, it can cause new problems, environmental pollution and waste. to where the concept directions of park in the function of spatial structure procurement in the capital of jakarta?
If we ask the question to the parties involved, they definitely will give clearly answered. What happened on the site park does not show the existence of the concept and the mature of applications . therefore from year to year the budget of the city administration will not be optimal. Procurement and maintenance of the park becomes an expensive projects and wastefully.

Riesta Garden, a small place in my backyard.I was specially design and constructed for my daughter. She loved waterfall and fish floating on riverside. This garden illustrated natural look of water falling down from rocking wall and flows trough the small river. I've use terracotta boat to make aniche on the riverside and a bonsai of small foliages to make the rock more live. at night spot light comes from a Balinese garden lamp (left side) and beside the boat. And the most important things that I would like to share , I use only pot for all plants to keep the garden clean and easy for maintenance. Honestly
this is really cheaps so you could built it by yourself.

In Balinese Hindu theologies, identically with Dewa Nawa

Sanga. The formation consist of nine gods name, which

center point. Each of them have a corresponding color,
deities and symbolic letter. The IM and Yang at the center point are the two symbolic letter influenced by
the Character of God Brahma (AM) and God Wisnu (ung), these symbolic letter become unity with new
symbolic letter MANG. The letter represented a symbolic of God Shiwa. Next for the Dewa Nawa Sanga, Balinese culture concentrated the concept into TriMurti (Three to be one). Three Gods Unity: Brahma, Wisnu and Shiwa with

Hinduism philosophies "Dewa nawa sanga and trihitakarana".
Both of the philosophies are familiar in Bali.Basically oriental culture with hindus and buddhist are the same, having a spirit of Im and Yang.
as known in Bali with KosalaKosali, I adopted both of the philosophies in Garden design and construction. I said it, the real balinese concept.
from that concept I know the answer of "how to mixed two or several nature image become
one unity and give unseperatted looks, How to choose an art products to be your garden
niche, How to post the garden elements into the rigth place" and many more......
