There is new evidence to show that the religion of Vaishnavism met with a sudden and catastrophic decline during the tragic period of the three-century drought of 2200 BC, when hundreds of thousands of people died of hunger – Hindu scriptures give massive amount of evidence in this regard. It took nearly three millennia for Vaishnavism to come back to its former glory – it came back into its own only after 1000 AD. So it would be foolish to say that some Aryans came to India around 1500 BC and later formed Vaishnavism in India. Secondly, Ashoka of rock edicts is different from Ashoka of Buddhist scriptures - both Ashokas lived more than thousand years apart; and historians have made a glaring mistake of clubbing both of them into one. I have demonstrated this in an article published in a newspaper and several prominent online magazines. Once we correct this mistake, Buddha must now be dated to 1800 BC. Both these findings completely vindicate the Indian stand that Mahabharat war took place around 3000 BC. Mahabharat war came in at very late stages of Vaishnavite theological development – Krishna of Mahabharat is almost one of the last incarnations of Vishnu. So Vaishnavism must have been in existence for thousands of years before the Mahabharat war date of 3000 BC.

For the last two centuries, European and Indian historians have been in a heated argument over the origins of Indo-European culture. While Europeans say that they migrated to India, Indians claim that Indians migrated to Europe. Actually, both are correct. Migration took place both ways. Aryans did migrate to India, and Indians migrated back to Europe – there is enough evidence to validate both the claims. Once we understand this, it is very easy to explain why there are no horse bones in Indo-European archaeological remains, and why Mycenaean Greek is more ancient than Sanskrit. These issues can easily be explained away and are much ado about nothing. Historians have been wasting time over very trivial and minor issues. Here is the first ever correct timeline of Hinduism, done to a great level of detail for 16,000 years, unearthed after combined study of Religion, Anthropology, Geology, Archaeology, and Linguistics.

The Real Definition of Hinduism

Here is the first ever correct definition of Hinduism, being written down for the first time after 4200 years.

What is Hinduism?

Answer: Hinduism is the worship of deities present in or associated with Vedic Samhitas

When asked to define what Hinduism is, Hindu scholars tend to tie themselves in knots. Explanations given range as follows:

“It is very difficult to define what Hinduism is. It is a conglomeration of cultural practices.”

“Actually, Hinduism is not a religion. It is a way of life.”

“Hinduism does not have a founder. It is mystical religion that simply grew out of the teachings of ancient sages.”

None of these definitions are true. We need to understand the socio-economic and cultural context in which Hinduism evolved, to understand what Hinduism is.

The Mystical Connection between Christianity and Hinduism

Christian Gods in Large Number of Hindu Temples

Purusha Sukta, the most important hymn of Hindu scriptures of Vedas, is considered to be the foundation of Indian religion, especially Vaishnavism. Purusha means Cosmic Man, or simply, Man – God is visualized as a giant Cosmic Man in this theology (please see introduction to Hinduism article present on this blog). When Vishnu is worshipped all over India in different forms, shapes, and names – these different forms and shapes are not considered to be different gods in their own right, but are simply considered to be different manifestations of one single God - the Purusha – the cosmic Man.

This Purusha is not always worshipped alone. In a lot of temples of India, the idol of Purusha is flanked by the idols of two gods – Narayana and Nara. Narayana means son of man as per Sanskrit dictionaries; and Nara means eternal spirit pervading the universe. So it is a trinity of - Man, Son of Man, eternal spirit - that is being worshipped here.

Buddhism Timeline for 4000 Years

The timeline of Buddhism's history as given by current historians is based on the mistaken assumption that Buddha was born around 500 BC. This computation is based on the lifetime of a certain Buddhist emperor Ashoka, mentioned in Buddhist scriptures and certain rock edicts, who was supposed to have lived around 300 BC. However, the Ashoka of rock edicts is different from Ashoka of Buddhist scriptures - both Ashokas lived more than thousand years apart; and historians have made a glaring mistake of clubbing both of them into one. I have demonstarted this in an article published in a news papaer and several prominent online magazines. Once we correct this mistake, Buddha must now be dated to 1800 BC. This correction will now require a recomputation of the dates of various schools and events in the history of Buddhism for nearly four thousand years. Here is the first ever reconstructed and correct timeline of the history of Buddhism for nearly four thousand years.

Son of Man means Jesus is Divine

While Christinity often tries to shrug away, though unconvincingly, the problem it faces with the interpretation of the "Son of Man" title, non-biblical literature gives us indications that Son of Man held a lot of significance in the theological speculation of the ancient world. Non Biblical literature waxes eloquent on this Son of Man phrase, leaving us with no doubt that the phrase is being used to refer to the Supreme God who existed even before the Sun and signs were created.

Three Phases in the History of Hinduism

History of Hinduism went through three phases.
World History is riddled with a large number of fascinating phenomena. Some of the enthralling phenomena can be listed as follows:

- Our ancestors had superior technology compared to what we have today

- There once used to exist a paradise that was destroyed or lost because it got submerged into oceans

- Earth has been frequently plagued with mighty catastrophes like worldwide floods and massive volcanic eruptions

- There occured Droughts that displaced whole civilizations

- There existed tribes that migrated to all parts of the globe, even to places that could only be travelled by air

And many others.

This book constructs the lost history of world civilization by taking into account all of the above factors. The following are some of the excerpts from the book. While other sections of this blog present excerpts specific to a particular religion, this section presents excerpts that are generic in nature.

World History : Timeline of Ancient Civilizations for 19,000 Years - The most important article of this section is present on the home page of this blog, showing the timeline of various ancient civilizations of the world for the last 19,000 Years

Drought of 2200 BC - The Drought that changed human history forever

Where did Ancients get those technologies from? - Our ancestors are much more technologically advanced than us

Who are those gods of Mesopotamia, Persia, and India? - These three cultures have much more in common than what appears

Based on certain inscriptions, historians have arrived at a date of 300 BC for a certain Buddhist emperor Ashoka of Mauryan Dynasty. And Buddhist scriptures mention that this emperor lived and played a prominent role in the propagation of Buddhism a couple of centuries after Buddha. So, as per this calculation, Buddha should have lived around 500 BC. However, as per the writings of Greek traveler Megasthenes, the Gupta dynasty was ruling India at about 300 BC. This tallies with Indian traditional calculations, which claim that a certain emperor called Ashoka of Gupta dynasty was ruling India around 300 BC. So traditionalists say that it is wrong to arrive at the date of 500 BC for Buddha; as per them, Buddha lived around 1800 BC. This has been a mystery and controversy for a long time now.

The findings of this book show that Ashoka of inscriptions is different from the Ashoka of Buddhist scriptures - Historians have made a colossal mistake of merging the two Ashokas, who lived more than thousand years apart, into one. I have written an article regarding this Ashoka issue titled "Buddha has to be dated to 1800 BC," which has appeared on a newspaper and several prominent online news magazines. The implications of this finding are enormous. Pushing the date of Buddha back pushes the date of Mahabharat war of India to 3000 BC as given by the traditional sources of India. This would push the dates of several other events of India back by several millennia. And revising Indian history will impact the history of 3 billion Indo-Europeans, or half of the world's population, because India is a very important hub of Indo-European culture. And a revision of Indo-European history will impact the various dates of World History as well, because Indo-Europeans constitute nearly half of the world's population. It is all recursive - one revision of such an important date as that of the Buddha will have recursive effect on the dates of the whole world history. One revision such as this can make the whole world history, as we know today, a myth. A Sri Lankan historian replied to this article of mine as follows:

“This article is quite interesting. But how are you going to deny the facts of the Buddhist missions took place around 300 BC such as the mission to Sri Lanka which they date Ca.274BC? If the missionary activities were from the Ashoka lived 1500 years before that then, do you deny the history of Sri Lanka as we say? The whole history of civilisation of Sri Lanka depends on this fact and if the mission was during the Asoka(I), then the history we know becomes a myth???”

Not just this, this revision of the date of the Buddha throws up additional questions on the history of Buddhism itself. While we earlier had to explain the history of Buddhism for one and half millennia - between its birth in 500 BC to the start of its decline in India around 1000 AD, we now have to explain the history of Buddhism for nearly three millennia - between its birth in 1800 BC to the start of its decline in India around 1000 AD. A whole lot of new questions will arise - When was Mahayana school of Buddhism? When and how did the various other schools and thoughts of Buddhism develop? How did Buddhism behave and evolve over this long a period? The book addresses all these questions and constructs a revised history of Buddhism. Some of the excerpts from the book are given below.

Christian theology and history throws up a lot of mystical elements that often tend to tie scholars up in knots. At the outset, it looks pretty straightforward as a religion founded by the personality of Jesus. However, the straight-forwardness ends there as the questions pile up one on another.

1) Firstly, historical scholars find it very difficult to construct the life history of Jesus with very little non-biblical information available in this regard. Even the content in the Bible does not give us enough material to explore.

2) It has been recognized that the Crucified Savior phenomenon existed in a large number of places all over the world much before the time of Jesus. When and where this phenomenon started and how this phenomenon spread about is a topic of intense debate.

3) The concept of Christian Trinity has been extremely difficult to comprehend. How anything can be one and three at the same time is something that is as mysterious as it can possibly be. The Encyclopedia Americana notes that the doctrine of the Trinity is considered to be "beyond the grasp of human reason." Another scholar puts it as follows -

"The Christian Trinity is a belief that has caused debate for many centuries. The central statement of it, that there is One True God, seems to often get lost by readers! The concept of anything being One and Three at the same time is pretty tough to deeply understand. For most Christians, the whole subject is often just considered too complicated to think much about, so the Trinity is just accepted on Faith."

Other scholars tend to often portray this trinity to be an outgrowth Pagan practices. To visualize God in non-monotheistic denominations is more a characteristic of less civilized people who practice pagan cults; and this practice, in all probability, carried over to Christianity - this is the explanation given by some scholars.

4) The Son of Man concept is equally confusing as much as the Christian Trinity. Why is Jesus called Son of God when he called himself as the Son of Man? The phrase confuses the Christian world so much that, in theological courses, teachers teach the concept of Son of Man the last, so that the confusion on the concept does not hold up other subjects.

The history of Judaism throws up some equally mysterious questions. It has been extremely difficult to prove that Jews had anything to do with Egypt despite decades of research into biblical archaeology. So what are the Origins of Jews? And why do their scriptures talk about Egypt if they have never been to Egypt at all?

This book explores all these questions and provides the first ever correct explanation to the Christian Trinity and the Son of Man concepts, apart from showing the real and true origins of Jews. No, the book does not proclaim Christian Trinity as pagan. Rather, it shows the Christian Trinity to be the most profound theological concept ever conceived by man. The concept originated about 14000 thousand years ago. The following are some of the excerpts from the book.

Owing to the complexity of the subject, the study of Hinduism's history is often oversimplified with bland statements which look as follows:

"Hinduism has no Origins"

"Hinduism is not a religion, it is a way of life"

"Hinduism has no founder - Hinduism was founded by God"

Even scholars tend to oversimplify the study of Hinduism by simply stating it to be a religion formed by the amalgamation of the cultures of two ethnic groups - namely IndoEuropeans and Dravidians. However, the vast scriptural and cultural base of the religion does not allow for such oversimplications, often resulting in statements such as "Hinduism has no Origins."

This is the first ever book that unravels the origins of Hinduism to a great level of detail, by showing that Hinduism has founders as much as any other religion. The history of Hinduism has become so mysterious only because the context in which the religion has developed has never been understood. Hinduism has developed in the context of excessive immigration that Indian subcontinent faced once upon a time - the religion developed as a response to this excessive immigration. Once the context is understood properly, once the theology of the religion and its cultural practices are placed in this correct context, it is then and then alone that the story of Hinduism unravels.

The following are a few excerpts from the book. A chapter on introduction to Hinduism is also presented below.

Zoroastrianism was promulgated by Zoroaster. However, the founders of Hinduism have been lost in the dungeons of time - many are the questions that arise when we explore those dungeons.
His birth is placed at around 500 BC. His mother died in childbirth. Upon his birth, a wise man visited his father, King Suddhodana, and told him that the boy would either become a great emperor or a great sage. The king did not want his son to become a sage, so he took extreme precautions in ensuring that his son never saw anything that would disturb his mind. As a result, the boy was brought in a fairy-tale world where he did not know the sufferings of the common man. He was married to Yashodara and had a child named Rahula.

There lived people who were happy. They were the adherents of a particular religion; and were immersed in the worship of God who belonged to that religion. Then came a true intellect in the proper sense of the word -- Siddhartha Gautama (Buddha's original name). He burst forth on the scene and condemned the rituals of the people. He dissuaded them from worshipping any God. Instead, he told them that true happiness lies in conditioning of actions and perfectioning of soul.

Where did Ancients get those technologies from?

The rust-free iron alloy used to make the Ashoka Pillar in New Delhi, capital city of India, has baffled chemists for centuries. Yet the pillar was built more than 3,000 years ago! Renowned British metallurgist Robert Hadfield writes: “In spite of all the scientific advances that have been made, the Delhi Pillar is, as far as I am able to judge, of a BETTER QUALITY than anything metallurgists are able to produce today.” After centuries of study, scientists finally resolved the composition of the ‘miracle’ alloy. It was BLACK MAGNETITE! The prehistoric Pillar carried a magnetic charge! Experts have concluded that its creators were super-skilled metallurgists and machinists to have formed a non-rusting hunk of METAL that large. More importantly, its manufacturers had to have mastered 'electricity' to account for its high Electro-Magnetic properties.

What is so common between the cultures of Mesopotamia, Persia, and India?

Mesopotamian culture tells the masses that they were once servants of gods. Mesopotamians considered themselves to have once been servants of gods, against whom they revolted. Babylonian legends tell us that man was created to build sanctuaries for gods, feed them, and to make sacrifices to them. Akkadian Gilgamesh legends tell us about how they were denied the nectar of immortality by gods, because of their being mere servants. If they were servants of gods, when were they freed of their servitude? Sumerian legends, the most ancient of them all, give us the answer. Sumerian legends tell us that they revolted against the gods and gods found them difficult to handle, which forced gods to expel or let the Mesopotamians go to a far off existence. That is how the Mesopotamians came into existence. Wikipedia says about the Sumerian legends - "the gods originally created humans as servants for themselves but freed them when they became too much to handle."

Why are there flood myths in the cultures across the world?

There are flood myths around the world in most cultures.
