Making Money Online - Is it Fantasy or an Inspiring Reality?

From
blogs to regular web sites, people are establishing ways to earn money
online. Some are becoming members of affiliate programs, some are
setting up businesses of their own, while some are doing such things as
writing to earn a living. No matter how you choose to view it, the
Internet is now bursting with more activity than ever before. Most of it
is directly geared towards generating some sort of income.
Regretfully, however, many soon discover that all is not as
advertised. There is no instant road to success or bucket of gold
waiting to be picked up. To the contrary, they find that success making
money online calls for hard and often difficult work. Nothing comes free
online. They also discover that every type of crook and thief is online
waiting for them, ready and willing to give them a million dollars for a
small donation or handling fee. They come face to face with the scam
artist whose only product is the deceit he packages and sells to steal
money from the unsuspecting on a daily basis.

After settling in, a great many see Affiliate Programs as a viable
means of earning an income. Here, they are absolutely correct. The
commissions that can be earned by way of affiliate programs can
certainly provide one with a meaningful income. For instance, there are
web hosting programs that pay a $100 commission for the sale of one
advance hosting plan. If you sell just one of these plans a day, you'll
bring in $3,000 per month. It should be kept in mind that $100
commissions on one item is not usually the norm. Most companies pay less
than this. However, the above is nonetheless illustrative of the fact
that you can indeed make money online.

For those of you who may be unaware of what an affiliate program is,
let me explain it this way: Most companies today are willing to pay you a
fee for sending them customers who purchase their products. For each
purchase the customer you sent them makes, the company pays you a
percentage of that sale, which is referred to as a commission. The
amount that you receive varies from company to company. Some will pay
you a $10 commission, while another will pay you $20 for the purchase of
the same exact items.
While profitable, this road can be rough. There are hundreds of
thousands of people right now trying to make money online. Thus,
competition is steep.

For instance,If you decide to sell brooms online, you can bet
your bottom dollar that there are literally thousands of other people
out there selling the same product. Doing well online means that you
have to learn how to compete with multi-million dollar companies all over
the world. In short, you'll have to learn how to compete effectively
against the odds. Is this doable? You bet!

This article was written to advise you that earning an income online
is indeed possible and probably more so than you might believe. However,
one of the foremost factors that helps create failure are unrealistic
expectations. The internet is a market place just like any other and
most of the rules apply. There is no such thing up here as a free ride.
This only exist in the minds of the scam artist and the gullible who are
their prey.
Your ability to make money online will be heavily dependent upon your
willingness to apply yourself to learning your craft. If you join an
affiliate program, it is important that you learn exactly how that
program works, what features it has to help you make sales, and more. If
you want to succeed, you must reach out for knowledge and assistance
where ever a real and trusted opportunity presents itself. You must
always keep in mind that your online business is your ship; it will go
where you lead it. You must develop the strength and expertise to lead
it in the direction that leads to economic prosperity for you. And, once
again, beware the scam artist who will offer you your wildest dreams
for only $29.99 or some other such small figure. One thing is certain, however, if you
buy into their scams, they'll make money, you won't.

Self Esteem and Confidence

There
is an old saying that goes: you are what you think. Regretfully, for
some this is all too true and so are the consequences of these thoughts.
Daily, many in our society constantly batter themselves with thoughts
of somehow being unworthy and no good. They see themselves not as they
truly are but as a set of ideas in their heads tell them they are. Their
description of themselves as they perceive themselves in their minds,
often have nothing to do with reality. Rather they tend to be the
products of fear and a sense that they simply don’t measure up to a
standard they, themselves, cannot define. Some would say that they lack self esteem and confidence. But this
tends to be a very shallow description compared to the hell they may
truly feel. However, one thing we can be certain of is that day-to-day
they suffer.

Life for many of them is merely a ritual where they get up
in the morning to come face to face with a disgusting figure they
perceive as their true selves. Life holds no promise and every endeavor
they deem rewarding is viewed as a fantasy that’ll never come true
because to them, they often see themselves as simply unworthy of having anything they perceive as having true value. It is a very
personal form of suffering which most try to hide in one way or another.
They often fear that reaching out and speaking of their distress
constitutes an intolerable danger not to be chanced. After all, someone
might echo the criticism they carry in their heads of being weak and
unworthy.

In many instances their intimate relationships can be problematic and
plagued with turmoil. Because they feel terrible about themselves, they
often mistakenly believe that their friends, lovers, etc. hold the same
distorted opinions of them. This often leads to breakups and a
deepening of feelings of worthlessness on their part. The notion expressed often is:
if he/she loved me, he/she would have never left. Their images of
themselves are often highly distorted and have no legitimacy in reality.
They batter themselves on a daily basis and why shouldn't they?

Regrettably, we live in a world that can be abusive to one and all.
We live in a place where the worth of a human being is often measured by
their ability to out do the other guy. If you’re able to earn more
money than the guy up the street, society often rewards you by showering
you with praise and other rewards. If you’re not that
chip-off-the-old-block, capable of achieving excellence at every turn,
societal praise is often denied you and recognition for the beautiful person
you may be is ignored. Thus, exist the reason why many of us find
ourselves shocked and dismayed when we discover that one of societies
designated heroes is not so much a hero, but a scoundrel instead. Like
it or not, a person's ability to achieve over the other guy does not
make him a good person to be showered with rewards.

Likewise, societal standards play a very heavy role in battering ones
self esteem, confidence, and overall belief in self. The very essence
of an individual is often placed in constant danger and subjected to
abuse on a regular basis. If you are too fat, bald, don’t keep up with
the latest styles, you are constantly told by media and other such
outlets that you’re somehow less than a human being and certainly not
worthy of praise. So pronounced is this viral social infection, that
lovers and/or intimate partners try and make each other over to fit an
image of what a person should be as proposed by society at
large.Teenagers have been known to torture one another due to this same
type of madness - the manner in which we judge whether an individual is
worthy or not.

Very often one would hear a loved one say you’re too fat why don’t
you loose weight? Or, you’re too quiet, why don’t you speak more?
Individuality is attacked and along with it that which we call self
esteem. Confidence in ones overall sense of self is battered. The total
human being finds him or herself attacked simply for being human. Given
these circumstances, it’s only logical to expect that damage will be
done and show itself in a lack of self esteem, confidence, and self
worth. We are not islands unto ourselves, but rather members of the
human family dependent upon one another for love, affection, and overall
survival.
In despair, a man cried out “Where is my God, why doesn't he help
me?” only to discover that there were cries all over asking the same
question. Where he thought he was alone in his plight and that only he
was suffering, he was given a rude awakening. He discovered that there
were a multitude of others making the same cry. For them, as with him,
despair and depression characterized their pain and was the order of the
day. A lack of esteem in themselves and the world about them was
present and demanding expression. Such is the reality of our times.

A feeling that God had somehow made him totally helpless and in need
of rescue surrounded him. A belief in himself that he had the means for
getting rid of his problems had gone and fear of being consumed over not
being worthy, dominated. He thought himself to be helpless and that’s
what he became. In other words, we are pretty much what we think and
believe. If for what ever reason, you believe yourself unworthy, that is
what you will instantly become. Why? Because it is through your own
eyes that you experience the world and the people in it. Somewhere it is
said “act as if ye have faith and it will be given unto you." I will
expand on this a little by saying believe in the worthwhile person you
know yourself to be and he’ll stand forth to greet and follow you
throughout life.

In today's society beauty is often measured by how much one can fit images fed to us by mass media outlets. To be thin and wear the latest styles is to be in. It's suggested that this is a standard that both men and women should work to achieve. It's said to be the way that people normally view beauty, or is it?

Not too long ago to be full figured with curvy hips was the norm of the day for women. As many of today's women work and take products to be thin, during that period of time the opposite was the truth. Women as well as men used products such as Weight On and others to build themselves up and increase their weight. Shapely heavy Women actors like the late Marilyn Monroe and Mae West were portrayed as the standard for beauty as it related to women. Big thighs, big hips - you get the picture - was the norm.

Thus, what truly constitutes beauty? What is the true measure? Should one starve themselves to become overly thin? Or, should they simply be content with who they are, understanding that beauty comes from within. Surely the nature of an individuals personality and warmth outshines everything. It is a light that never dims. All the rest is no more or less than superficial packing.

Regretfully, many in our society woefully, lament over this issue. For them, happiness will only come when they're able to become thin not understanding that the trend they're trying to meet is no more or less than a fad stemming from a designers mind that has been mass marketed for the sake of making money. In the forties and fifties, to be full figured and have a big behind was all the rave. Women did everything possible to gain weight. Products which produced weight, made a killing those days. All over TV, the radio, etc. the bulletin constantly went out: Being large is to be in; to be thin is a sin. Thinness was looked upon as a sign of ill health, certainly not attractive. It was viewed as the mark of an ugly duckling. Now today, it has become a standard of beauty.

Maybe it would be wiser if we all decided not to put a measure on physical beauty but instead make it a habit to concentrate on that beauty that lies within. It's a beauty that last throughout time and does not fade with age, as physical beauty does. That type of beauty is as they say here today and gone tomorrow. The beauty that comes from the heart is everlasting.

Guess what? It appears that actor/Comedian Bill Cosby is not the only one being accused of sexual assault nowadays. According to the Los Angeles Times, over 12 women and one man have accused a Newport Beach surgeon of sexually assaulting them. According to the Times, this surgeon had already been charged with drugging and sexually assaulting 2 women. One of these assaults is said to have dated back to 2 decade ago. Like it or not it appears that sexual assault is more prevalent than one might have imagined. As it stands now a growing list of upwards to 71 men have grown regarding sexual harassment and/or assault of women and continues to grow.. Actor/Comedian Bill Cosby is not alone. Now all that is needed is to discover whether the complaints of sexual assault are indeed true or false. like it or not, there exist those who would falsely cry sexual abuse where no abuse existed. Thus, society must be careful in how this issue is handled. The instinct to rush to judgement is not the way to go!.

The Unspoken of Violence

In todays society we have become very acquainted with domestic violence.
The horror of women being abused by men is now out in the open and
society is having lively discussions about it, gearded towards putting
an end to it and providing psychological help for the abuser and so we
should. Today, more and more victims of domestic violence are making
their ordeals known and seeking help and rescue from their abusers.
Affected children are receiving counseling and other forms of
intervention to put them back on the road to adequate growth and
development.

However, there's another type of abuse that pervades
our society that's not much spoken about. Maybe it's because its
victims don't think it's that important or because they fear the
consequences of doing so. Regardless the reason, it still exist and
plays a highly harmful role in regards to intimate relationships. What
is it? It's called Sexual Humiliation.

Unfortunately, there are those in our society who get satisfaction out of sexually humiliating
their supposed mates. They have the habit of demoralizing them by
insisting that they perform sexual acts that they personally find
disgusting. When they refuse to participate in these activities, they
are met with ridicule and scorn. They are often threatened that their
refusal to participate will lead to the ending of their relationship. Thus, daily, both men and women are psychology pressured and battered into participating in demoralizing sexual acts.
There offenders often argue that they should be willing to submit to
this abuse as an expression of love. The fact that their demands are the
source of great pain for their mates, tend to be meaningless to them.

The woman or man struggling to maintain a relationship with these
individuals find themselves caught up in a dilemma. They're dammed if
they do and dammed if they don't. That is, if they refuse to go along
with the abuse, they're emotionally attacked with the threat of
abandonment by the abuser. They're told if you won't do what I want you
to do, i'll leave you. If they go along with the abusive act, they are
punished by doing something they find repugnant.

Regretfully, many in our society are faced with this challenge. Their
mates get some type of perverse satisfaction out of humiliating them.
Some say it's a play for power, expressed by very fragile personalities.
Whatever the explanation, it's abuse nonetheless that rigorously
batters the psyche of its victims.
To the point that they can, these abusers must be helped to
understand that to demand that an individual give up their personal
dignity to satisfy their lust, has nothing whatsoever to do with love.
Rather, it's a cold heartless manipulation and form of abuse that
is unworthy of them. Forcing someone into acts that they would
otherwise not involve themselves in is not much different from placing a
gun to their heads. The effect is the same - making them do something
they otherwise would not do.

It's similarly important that the abused understand that they are indeed being subject to abuse,
no matter what the abuser tells them. With this understanding they
should do everything in their power to put an end to it. It's vital that
they learn that love is about give and take, not a dictator form of
relationship where one member is afforded the right to destroy the
other.

I didn't know his name nor had I ever seen him before. However, he was drop dead absolutely gorgeous. I mean he was fly. Hell, he was a hunk.

With my blouse open as far as I could get it and the switch of my hips in gear, I walk passed him hoping to get his attention. Luckily, I didn't have to do too much. The moment I finished walking by, he asked me if I would like to dance. Of course, I lied and told him no, while praying he'd asked again, at which point I would drag him out on the dance floor and steal his mind from him.

Just as I hoped, he did just that. He begged be again to dance with him, which I did. I didn't let him hold me tight though. After all, I'm not a slut, even though I wanted to take him home to mama and and yell: hey ma, look at what I got. He was fine and I wanted the world to know that I had won me a prize. .

Any way, I put my spell on him with that "I'm a nice little lady stuff" who doesn't get it on after the first date. To tell you the truth I never did and never will. However, this doesn't mean that I've never indulged, you know what I mean? Well, everything went like clock work. I not only got him to start taking me out all the time, but he made sure not to try and pressure me into having sex. Hell, I new I had me a star this time around. He wasn't a no-working-bum, living with his mother like the last guy I was involved with. Most of all he was educated. That's right, the fool knew how to read and write and he went to Johnson College, where ever that is.

Well moving like a rocket taking off from a launch pad, I got him to ask that magic question. I'm not talking about getting married. No! I got him to ask would I be his lady. Of course, I told him I would have to think about it because I didn't know him that well. Then I made my plans on how I would go about roping him in in a way he would feel that he had done the roping and not me.

I waited for him to ask me 2 more times while giving him every respectable reason not to give up on me.. After the third time, I reeled him in. I let him know that this didn't mean we were going run off and have sex. Oh no! I told him straight out that might come with time but certainly not now. As I expected, he didn't pressure me. The gentleman that he is, he simply waited and you know what happened after that we got it going.

To make a long story short, the sex was good and so was he. So good we decided to move in together. We got a 2 room apartment - if you can truly call it that. Any way, we were no longer hanging out at his and my mothers apartment.

At about the ending of the third week we lived together, I came home from work to discover that our apartment was stinking. I mean it smelled as if someone had the nerve to drop dead on the living room floor, without having the decency to call someone to pick his dead butt up and take him where he belonged. When I finally went in the living room, I discovered that there was nothing there. There was certainly no dead body, no garbage on the floor, nor was there any spoiled meat around that might have been left out of the ice box by mistake and spoiled.

Confused over where the smell was coming from, I decided to follow my nose and why did I do that? When I reached the bedroom, I found lover boy laying on the bed with no shoes or socks on his feet. Yes, that's right my baby. He was lying there with his mouth wide open, with spit dripping out of it like a leaky faucet. And yes, you guessed it. It was his nasty feet that were stinking up the place. I immediately looked up and asked myself why was I so bad in regard to choosing men. This was not the hunk I fell in lust over, this was not the cutie pie I took home to meet mama. This fool was a stinky bum. That's right, a smelly nasty I don't know how to wash my behind fool.

Concerned about my French Sheets, I quickly went and took them out of the closet and hid them. Mr. Twinkle toes had already messed up my Macy's sheets that were on the bed at the time. So I made sure to hide my French Sheets, so that he wouldn't mess them up as well.

With my fingers crossed, I woke him up and asked him what had happened. As I expected, he quickly claimed that he didn't know what I was talking about. I decided not to get too rough with him because I hoped this was just a one time thing. Maybe he doesn't always go around with stink feet that smelled like the living dead. So I told him to forget about it and suggested that we get house deodorant to freshen the place up a bit.

Well another week went by and there were no more incidents with stink feet. Nope, this time the surprise was nasty chicken bones with chicken wing sauce under the bed covers. He explained this away by saying that he fell asleep and was sorry for the mess. Later that day, I found his dodo stained draws hanging out of the hamper along side my new night gown.

As time went on, lover boy began to look more and more like my nasty ass oldest brother. I'm talking about the one who thought that sleeping with garbage was an aphrodisiac that every man needed in order to be considered a real man. The nice clothes he wore when we first met, quickly began to look like they came from a rag sale.

Of course, sexual relations immediate stopped. Mr. dirt was no longer allowed to put his hands on me. The next hurdle was that of finding a way of getting him to move out of the apartment without making a fuss. I had a talk with my girl Linda about this. She was said to be an expert in the area in getting rid of the unwanted. She suggested that I simply tell him that I lost my job and that he would have to pay the rent and all the utilities until I found a new one.

Like the rising of the sun, lover boy was gone the very next day after receiving the news. The dirty dog, wouldn't even stop long enough to take his dodo stained draws with him. Love and commitment went out the window along with his stinky socks. However, the good side of this is that I did get to keep the apartment.

So ladies, the next time you hook up with someone, make certain that you take extra time to find out who you are truly dealing with. By the way, if you need get rid of a special someone, give Linda a call.

A
Commitment is the fundamental bond that holds a relationships
together. It's that guarantee that you'll do what's
necessary to protect the relationship you've entered into. It's the
foundation upon which all solid relationships are built. It's one of the
most important ways one person says I love you to another. Most of all,
it's that enduring principle upon which home and family are based.

Regretfully, many fall far short of making this type of obligation to
the intimate partner they claim they love. In so doing, they undermine
the entire structure of their relationship. This often leads to
devastating insecurity for that member of the relationship who desires
such a commitment, along with eventual breakup.
When asked why they refuse to commit, many argue that they're too
young to settle down and that making a commitment calls for just that -
settling down and establishing a life and family with someone. They
often claim that they haven't fully explored their options and why
settle down with someone you might come to hate tomorrow. To an extent
their arguments makes sense. To hastily enter into a committed
relationship can be a sure recipe for disaster that may end it before it
has a chance to truly begin.

However, many overlook the fact that time continues to move on
whether we are prepared for it to do so or not. The choices a person has
when young often disappear with the passage of time. Many a man and
woman wait to find the perfect mate to commit to, without realizing that
such an animal simply doesn't exist. In doing this, they often overlook
those who would make the ideal husband or wife. Others, think it's
somehow cool to play the field, never realizing that they are dealing
themselves a blow they'll most likely never recover from.

In many a park or community center, you'll find members of our older
generations lamenting about the love they allowed to get away. Comments
such as, if I new then what I know now I would have married him/her,
tend to be common. Regret, unfortunately, takes a center place in their
lives as they speak fondly of the love they didn't make room for.

Like it or not, commitment to things more than oneself is the corner
stone of our existence as human beings. Men and women commit to
establish a network of security and support for one another and most of
all, enduring love. Committing constitutes a sharing of oneself with
others. It's a basic part of survival that can not be ignored.

There is an old saying that goes: you are what you think. Regretfully, for some this is all too true and so are the consequences of these thoughts. Daily, many in our society constantly batter themselves with thoughts of somehow being unworthy and no good. They see themselves not as they truly are but as a set of ideas in their heads tell them they are. Their description of themselves as they perceive themselves in their minds, often have nothing to do with reality. Rather they tend to be the products of fear and a sense that they simply don’t measure up to a standard they, themselves, cannot define.

Some would say that they lack self esteem and confidence. But this tends to be a very shallow description compared to the hell they may truly feel. However, one thing we can be certain of is that day-to-day they suffer. Life for many of them is merely a ritual where they get up in the morning to come face to face with a disgusting figure they perceive as their true selves. Life holds no promise and every endeavor they deem rewarding is viewed as a fantasy that’ll never come true because to them, they are simply unworthy of having it. It is a very personal form of suffering which most try to hide in one way or another. They often fear that reaching out and speaking of their distress constitutes an intolerable danger not to be chanced. After all, someone might echo the criticism they carry in their heads of being weak and unworthy.

In many instances their intimate relationships can be problematic and plagued with turmoil. Because they feel terrible about themselves, they often mistakenly believe that their friends, lovers, etc. hold the same distorted opinions of them. This often leads to breakups and a deepening of feelings of worthlessness. The notion expressed often is: if he/she loved me, he/she would have never left. Their images of themselves are often highly distorted and have no legitimacy in reality. They batter themselves on a daily basis and why shouldn't they?

Regrettably, we live in a world that can be abusive to one and all. We live in a place where the worth of a human being is often measured by their ability to out do the other guy. If you’re able to earn more money than the guy up the street, society often rewards you by showering you with praise and other rewards. If you’re not that chip-off-the-old-block, capable of achieving excellence at every turn, societal praise is denied you and recognition for the beautiful person you may be is ignored. Thus, exist the reason why many of us find ourselves shocked and dismayed when we discover that one of societies designated heroes is not so much a hero, but a scoundrel instead. Like it or not, a person's ability to achieve over the other guy does not make him a good person to be showered with rewards.

Likewise, societal standards play a very heavy role in battering ones self esteem, confidence, and overall belief in self. The very essence of an individual is often placed in constant danger and subjected to abuse on a regular basis. If you are too fat, bald, don’t keep up with the latest styles, you are constantly told by media and other such outlets that you’re somehow less than a human being and certainly not worthy of praise. So pronounced is this viral social infection, that lovers and/or intimate partners try and make each other over to fit an image of what a person should be as proposed by society at large.Teenagers have been known to torture one another due to this same type of madness - the manner in which we judge whether an individual is worthy or not.

Very often one would hear a loved one say you’re too fat why don’t you loose weight? Or, you’re too quiet, why don’t you speak more? Individuality is attacked and along with it that which we call self esteem. Confidence in ones overall sense of self is battered. The total human being finds him or herself attacked simply for being human. Given these circumstances, it’s only logical to expect that damage will be done and show itself in a lack of self esteem, confidence, and self worth. We are not islands unto ourselves, but rather members of the human family dependent upon one another for love, affection, and overall survival.

In despair, a man cried out “Where is my God, why doesn't he help me?” only to discover that there were cries all over asking the same question. Where he thought he was alone in his plight and that only he was suffering, he was given a rude awakening. He discovered that there were a multitude of others making the same cry. For them, as with him, despair and depression characterized their pain and was the order of the day. A lack of esteem in themselves and the world about them was present and demanding expression. Such is the reality of our times.

A feeling that God had somehow made him totally helpless and in need of rescue surrounded him. A belief in himself that he had the means for getting rid of his problems had gone and fear of being consumed over not being worthy, dominated. He thought himself to be helpless and that’s what he became. In other words, we are pretty much what we think and believe. If for what ever reason, you believe yourself unworthy, that is what you will instantly become. Why? Because it is through your own eyes that you experience the world and the people in it. Somewhere it is said “act as if ye have faith and it will be given unto you." I will expand on this a little by saying believe in the worthwhile person you know yourself to be and he’ll stand forth to greet and follow you throughout life.

Verbal
abuse is one of the most vicious forms of abuse that you can imagine.
Why? Because it is often committed by one who poses as a friend,
confidant, or loved one. It's frequently delivered by those you'd think
could be counted upon to look after your best interests. It's a
boyfriend, girlfriend, a father, a mother, etc. It's often the product
of a supposed trusted one. Unlike physical abuse, whose scars tend to go away with the passage
of time, verbal abuse is a brutal battering of mind, soul, and spirit
that can remain with its victim a life time. He's made to feel that he
is the worst thing that ever stepped foot on God's earth. He or she is
made to feel a deep sense of shame, worthlessness, and utter self
disgust. In short, he's completely demoralized and eventually comes to
believe the propaganda fed to him by his abusers.

Children are one of the biggest recipients of this type of abuse.
They are intellectually and psychologically immature and in many
instances dependent upon the abuser in one way or another. Regrettably,
children routinely experience verbal abuse from often well meaning
parents on a regular basis. In the normal process of disciplining their
children, parents often say things to them which are abusive and in time
take their toll. For instance, statements such as: you're rotten to the
core; or your just like your no good father are abusive whether the
parent realizes it or not. They don't speak to correcting the child's
ill behavior but instead harshly attacks the very essence of the child
him or herself. The above criticisms are the same as saying that your no
good, bad, unworthy, etc. These types of statements tend to have long
lasting effects, none of them good.
Be Clear, the above is not meant as an indictment of parents as being
the worlds abusers. Rather, it's meant to illustrate how easy it is to
verbally abuse one without even knowing that this is indeed what you've
done. It's sometimes hard for human beings to control the words that
come out of their mouths, especially in fits of anger. However, those
words nevertheless have their effects whether intended to do harm or
not.
The words "darling I love you" have often set the stage for untold
abuse carried out by one lover upon another. Although women tend to
suffer more verbal abuse in a relationship than men, the male of a
relationship also finds himself routinely brutalized by abuse of a
verbal nature as well. Lets take a closer look at this. In an attempt to
both punish and control their partners, men as well as women often make
them subject to verbal abuse. From a woman telling a man that he's a
bum and lack luster lover to a man calling his woman friend a bitch or
whore, this type of verbal abuse is typical in far too many
relationships. For many men such is seen as an ideal way of making sure
that their female partner does not leave them, at least while they are
still interested in them. Therefore, in an attempt to make her feel that
he's the only one who'll have anything to do with her, some men resort
to tearing their female mates down by telling them how stupid, ugly and
unattractive they are. The intimate secrets that they share with each
other are heavily used to support the supposed legitimacy of their
criticism. Regrettably, this tactic is used by both men and women alike.
The truly terrible thing about this type of abuse is that its victims
often begin to believe the things that are said about them. There is a
tendency for some to accept the criticism leveled against them as the
truth regarding who they truly are. It's not unusual for the abused
person to eventually agree that he or she is as ugly and undesirable as
their mate constantly tell them they are. Likewise, it's not uncommon
for them to accept the blame for anything that goes wrong in their
relationship, even up to outright physical abuse. The reasoning is
simple: if you're bad enough to deserve constant ridicule then you're
bad enough to have the stuffing's knocked out of you.
The same as it is emotionally damaging, verbal abuse can be rather
vicious in nature. Abusers often go to all time lows never imagined by
their victims. It's not at all uncommon for an abuser to resort to
talking about their victim in the most disgusting terms. From calling
them whores, making highly insulting remarks regarding their personal
hygiene to making inappropriate remarks about their sexual practices,
abusers will drag their victims through the gutter. They also resort to
making these types of comments to their victims directly in front of
family, the victims coworkers, close friends, etc. It's absolutely
nothing for them to paint a picture of their victims as being the scum
of the earth, while they (the victim) watch on in horror accompanied by
feelings of massive embarrassment and shame.
Keep in mind that the major goal of most abusers in this instance, is
that of control. One of the major ways they do this is by belittling
their victim to the point where they loose self esteem, give up and
simply accept the lies and distortions said about them. Abusers fight to
make the victim feel that they are lucky that they have any dealing
with them at all. In short, the victim is made to feel that he/she
should be grateful to have the abuser in his/her life and in gratitude,
hand the control of their life to him.
As alluded to above, the danger of physical abuse on the part of the
abuser against the victim, is very real. There is a short step between
verbally abusing someone and actual physical assault of them. This is
one reason why it's highly important for anyone trapped in this type or
relationship to remove themselves from it as quickly as possible,
particularly if the verbal abuse continues to escalate unabated. It's
important to understand that if a person is thoughtless enough to
verbally abuse you, the likelihood is great that they are callous enough
to physically abuse you as well. Again, there exists a very short
distance between verbal and physical abuse. In fact, they tend to go
hand and hand.

In today's world, beauty is often measured by how much one can fit the image portrayed by mass media outlets. To be thin and wear the latest styles is to be in. It's suggested that this is a standard that both men and women should work to achieve. It's the way that people nomally view beauty, or is it?

Not too long ago to be full figured with curvy hips was the norm of the day. As many of today's women work and take products to be thin, during that period of time the opposite was the truth. Women as well as men used products such as Weight On and others to build themselves up and increase their weight. Women like the late Marolyn Monroe and Mae West were portrayed as the standard for beauty as it related to women. Big thighs, big hips - you get the picture - was the norm.

So what truly constitutes beauty in a woman or man? What is the true measure? Should one starve themselves to become overly thin? Or, should they simply be content with who they are, understanding that beauty comes from within? Surely the nature of an individuals personality and warmth out shines everything. It is a light that never dims. All the rest is no more or less than superficial packing.

Regretfully, many in our society woefully, lament over this issue. For them, happiness will only come when they're able to become thin - not understanding that the trend they're trying to meet is no more or less than a fad stemming from a designers mind that has been mass marketed for the sake of making money.

Please leave a comment and tell us what you think about this issue!

There once was a time in this country when men and women looked upon the vows of marriage as being sacred and not to be tampered with by anyone. So great was this belief that a husband stood an excellent chance of being set free for killing a man who dared come between him and his wife. The notion that marriage was ordained by God that no man or woman had the right to tamper with, ruled the day. The breaking of marriage vows was greatly frowned upon by many. Marriage was looked upon as a foundation of society and civilization that had to be upheld and nurtured at all cost.

This is not to say that there was no such thing as infidelity or cheating; such is simply not true. However, great lengths were often taken to keep it secret and out of the eyesight of greater society. Such behavior was never promoted and those who committed it often were made to suffer social scorn and rebuke. Social norms dictated that if you had to have a mistress or an additional lover, you had to do so quietly and discretely in the cover of darkness. Likewise, under no circumstances where you to acknowledge her or him. For to do so would constitute an injury to established society and the social order.

However, as time rolled by, peoples view on the sanctity of marriage and its vows began to slowly change. Factors such as spousal abuse, a growing desire for greater freedom amongst most the world's populations, etc. ushered in new views regarding the state of marriage and how it should be viewed and regulated.

Many people began to argue that marriage vows should cease being so strict that it makes it virtually impossible for people to get divorces, without sometimes having to fight in court for years. The idea that married couples should stay together no matter how terrible their married relationship was, started to be looked upon as unrealistic and outright archaic. It was argued that no one should be forced to remain in loveless relationships, whether children are involved or not. They should have the right to divorce and seek their happiness somewhere else, it was argued. This notion continued to grow causing major changes in the way people and the courts viewed this institution we call marriage.

With the occurrence of the Vietnam War, along with the struggle for civil rights, the institution of marriage took a battering that almost pushed it out of existence. With the cry for greater freedoms and the erosion of past societal standards, came a massive assault on it and the institutions that supported it like the Church and parts of the U.S. government. Marriage was now being called a state of bondage that stifled human expression for freedom. Sexual expression was pointed out to be one of the major forms of expressions that had been stifled by marriage and the commitments and obligations that accompanied it. Even psychologist got in to the act. Many publicly advocated that breaking ones marriage vows by having extra marital sex was healthy for marriages. They added that it was great fun as well.

With sentiments like this looming large, the era of free sex came into being. Sex clubs were opening up all over America and abroad where people could go and have sex with others they hardly knew. They were places you could freely share your wife or husband. They were also places where homosexuality was allowed expression. Many a woman and man found themselves encouraged to have sex with someone of their own sex. Wife and Husband swapping was a main feature of this period of free sex. The sentiment was, like my wife? You can have sex with mines and I'll have sex with yours.

What happened to the institution of marriage? It was pretty much labeled an institution for the dim witted and out-of-touch. It was viewed as a thing of the past that was only indulged in by religious fanatics who didn't comprehend the true joys of life

As time moved on (around mid 70's and early 80's) the venereal disease called genital herpes started to show its head in America. Both men and women were popping up with a strange illness that left highly painful sores in their genital areas. To add insult to injury, there was no cure for it. Once you contracted it, you were stuck with it for life. The sores would go away at times, but sadly would return.

Herpes alone started to put a big damper on peoples attitudes toward continuing the new found practice of free sex. Many sex clubs started to go out of business as a result of a decline in membership. The fear of catching herpes was great. After a while, people started talking about marriage in a positive light again. Many argued that free sex, along with sex clubs, brought about herpes. Some maintained that it was a punishment for immoral behavior.

About 2 years later AIDS and the HIV virus started to rare its head. It started out in the homosexual community, but soon invaded the heterosexual community as well. The horror that it was a definite killer whose transmission was primarily by sexual activity, pretty much did away with sex clubs. In so doing, it also appeared to convince people to looked towards the institution of marriage once again for their sexual and emotional satisfaction. To say that it led to marriage again becoming the strong institution it was in the past, would be untrue. However, it certainly led people to once again place it as a life's high priority again.

Like it or not, infidelity, is a great force in our times. Breaking marriage vows and those made between 2 people at the forming of relationship, still goes on and most likely has been doing so since the dawn of time. Lets hope that those who continue to indulge this type of behavior begin to understand they are doing great harm and injury to those they've made commitments to. They also are hurting themselves by placing in jeopardy relationships, whose lost they may deeply come to regret.

Believe it or not, everyday thousands, if not millions, of children are being killed on a regular basis without the slightest of objections from the masses of people on this planet. We've come to know this sick past time as abortion. The killers of these innocent little beings call the slaughter that takes place in their wounds abortion. The term murder the actual truth of this activity is cowardly left out . it appears that admitting the truth of what they are actually doing is too harsh a reality for them to admit and stomach. So they embellish it in a sort of code which makes light of reality of the murders they commit.

Like jackasses straight from hell, they and their butcher doctors go around the world and advance the notion that this mass murder of defenseless children is in actuality a boom and a blessing to children they annihilate. They often put forth the argument that killing these little ones is much more humane then allowing them to be born in a world where the might suffer. Some further argue why demand that a woman or man be forced to have a child that they don't want in the first place? Simple, simpleton because said children are human beings like anyone else and therefore, deserve the right to live the lives that they were given.

Hence, everyday these blood shedding idiots go about their marry ways producing one baby after another only to lead it to painful slaughter also known as death. They don't seem to realize that they have made of themselves plagues on this earth, who constantly beg for its destruction by way of their silly and thoughtless behavior. They appear not to realize that from the wound of a woman came Jesus Christ, the Profit Muhammad, Buddha, and on.. They seem not to realize birth is the great sustain-er of life and guarantee for longevity fir the human race as a whole..

Verbal abuse is one of the most vicious forms of abuse that you can
imagine. Why? Because it is often committed by one who poses as a
friend, confidant, or loved one. It's frequently delivered by those
you'd think could be counted upon to look after your best interest.
It's a boyfriend, girlfriend, a father, a mother, etc. It's often the
product of a supposed a trusted one.

Unlike physical abuse, whose scars tend to go away with the passage of
time, verbal abuse is a brutal battering of mind, soul, and spirit that
can remain with its victim a life time. He's made to feel that he is
the worst thing that ever stepped foot on God's earth. He or she is
made to feel a deep sense of shame, worthlessness, and utter self
disgust. In short, he's completely demoralized and eventually comes to
believe the propaganda fed to him by his abusers.

Children are one of the biggest recipients of this type of abuse. They
are intellectually and psychologically immature and in many instances
dependent upon the abuser in one way or another. Regrettably, children
routinely experience verbal abuse from often well meaning parents on a
regular basis. In the normal process of disciplining their children,
parents often say things to them which are abusive and in time take
their toll.

For instance, statements such as: you're rotten to the
core; or your just like your no good father are abusive whether the
parent realizes it or not. They don't speak to correcting the child's
ill behavior but instead harshly attacks the very essence of the child
him or herself. The above criticisms are the same as saying that your
no good, bad, unworthy, etc. These types of statements tend to have
long lasting effects, none of them good.

In an attempt
to both punish and control their partners, men as well as women often
make them subject to verbal abuse. From a woman telling a man that he's
a bum and lack luster lover to a man calling his woman friend a bitch
or whore, this type of verbal abuse is typical in far too many
relationships. For many men such is seen as an ideal way of making sure
that their female partner does not leave them, at least while they are
still interested in them. Therefore, in an attempt to make her feel
that he's the only one who'll have anything to do with her, some men
resort to tearing their female mates down by telling them how stupid,
ugly and unattractive they are. The intimate secrets that they share
with each other are heavily used to support the supposed legitimacy of
their criticism.

They also resort to making these types of comments to their victims directly
in front of family, the victims coworkers, close friends, etc.

Abusers fight
to make the victim feel that they are lucky that they have any dealing
with them at all.

It's
important to understand that if a person is thoughtless enough to
verbally abuse you, the likelihood is great that they are callous
enough to physically abuse you as well. Again, there exists a very
short distance between verbal and physical abuse. In fact, they tend to
go hand and hand.

The internet is a tremendous frontier which presents its visitors an unlimited amount of possibilities, particularly where it comes to making an income online. Imagine it, here in this vast networks of wires and computer chips, you can do virtually anything and if done right, it will turn a profit for you. From the silly to the absolutely absurd, people from throughout the world are making money online offering their talents, and, yes, their silliness to all who partake and purchase them. Such is also true in terms of writing.

The internet affords both the novice and the professional writer the unique opportunity to earn an income off of their point of view, hobbies, likes and dislikes, and more. You only have to describe it, and put into electronic ink (i.e. write it out) and there is always somebody somewhere who will make a purchase. You only need to stumble upon those who think or believe as you do and your job is 60% done. You have an audience and therefore, potential customers to purchase your point of view.

There are many ways one can go about bringing in an income writing. First off, you can simply get yourself a blog and start writing about things that interest you. To monetize it and start bringing an income you can combine it with advertising services such as Google's Adsence. From here, Adsence will place advertisements in strategic locations in your blog posts or writings. When a visitor, clicks on them, you're payed a fee per click and you're on your way to securing yourself an online income.

As an alternative of sorts to AdSense, you can also sell your writings or articles directly to the public on your own. Simply get yourself a way of accepting online payments like Pay Pal, and you're on your way to bringing in money for the things you write. Of course, you'll have to let people know about your works by way of some sort of marketing. and or Search Engine Optimization. For those of you who a unfamiliar with SEO or Search Engine Optimization, it's merely the process by which one goes about making their sites content known to the world. .
If this is too much for you, you can also join programs like Hub Pages that allow you to earn money by writing articles for their site. There's no need for you to go through the task of monetizing them. Their service normally does most of this for you. You'll find that immediately after you publish an article, it's advertisements are immediately placed in them. When someone clicks on them, you receive a specific amount per click.

Believe it or not, the Supreme Court has ruled that Gay Marriage is legal throughout the entire country. States that previously banned same sex marriages will no longer be able to do so. As was hoped by many, marriage between a man and a man or a woman and a woman is now a law of the land. Also, it's a reason for same sex couples to rejoice.

For many who have always opposed same sex marriage, this will most certainly come as a tremendous blow. Some have argued that such a union was immoral and against the laws of God, while others have maintained that it is simply unnatural and therefore, should not be allowed. Whatever the argument, it has now become a legitimate fabric of American Society.
