Trying to replace the stud with another earring will be the equivalent to jamming a post through a raw hole in your flesh. That’s why you aren’t supposed to take it out for 6-8 weeks.

Don’t change it. It could get infected or close or bleed a lot. Just don’t. Follow the rules, how hard is it? Besides, if the other earring isn’t a stud, you can’t wear it anyway, cause it could rip your ear. You can’t wear non-studs for about a year.

I’d definitley leave the one that they peirced it with.. in. I couldn’t wait to change mine either, but I did. You should call them & ask them what will happen. But no one is stopping you from doing it.. good luck!

Even though you don’t like it, keep the stud in for 6 weeks. It’s larger in diameter than regular earrings, & it will keep the hole from healing too small. Also, it’s designed so that the backing can’t get jammed on too tightly, squeezing your earlobe & trapping bacteria.

stretching ears (earring holes)

(earring holes)

Taping is where you take a plug and wrap it with small layers of tape every few days and it slowly gauges your ear up a fraction of a size at a time. Taper- a straight, bullet-like (should be about 2'' long) tool used to stretch ears. Tapers are not meant to be worn as jewelry so please don't wear them as such, they can result in torn/uneven earlobes which are not good looking.

Proper jewelry- From 16g to 12g you may not be able to find plugs so i suggest jewelry like captive bead rings, pinchers (stainless steel or titanium) or shaktis. Shaktis are weights so they'll make stretching easier, pinchers and captive bead rings also add some weight to help with stretching. From 10g< you should be able to find plugs, eyelets and larger/heavier weights. Warning, heavy weights are not meant for long-term wear so after 6g i suggest you only wear weights for 8-12 hours max as weights can also cause uneven lobes.

Gauge- a unit of measurement that measures the thickness of jewelry. You're stretching ears, not gauging them. The bigger the # for a gauge, the thinner the jewelry so from smallest to largest: 20g, 18g, 16g, 14g, 12g, 10g, 8g, 6g, 4g, 2g, 0g and 00g. Generally after 00g you start using fractions of an inch (i.e. 7/16'') or millimeters (i.e. 11mm). But millimeters are easier to use.

Waiting time:
If your ears are not pierced, you need to let them fully heal and give them at least 6 MONTHS (not 7-8 weeks). This will allow them to heal and prepare to stretch, during the first three months for suggest saline soaks 2-3x a day for 5-10 minutes and for the next three months you do oil massages, they feel incredible. Use avocado oil, vitamin E oil and jojoba oil; jojoba and vitamin E oil are suggested oils to massage your ears when stretching so definitely invest in them and massage your ears 1-2x a day.

Waiting time by credible piercers:
16g - 8g at least a month
6g - 2g at least two months
0g - 00g at least three months

The longer you wait while stretching ear, the better as it will preserve more collagen and give your ears more time to heal and get ready to stretch. Stretching ear faster than this will result in torn earlobes, blowouts, lots of scar tissue, the cat butt effect, thin/uneven earlobes, unhealthy earlobes, and resistance to future stretches. Please take your time while stretching ear will love you for it and you'll love the results if you let them heal.

Preparing for a stretch:
At least one week before a stretch, massage your ears 1-2x a day with the oils, be sure to clean your ears 1-2x a day with saline to loosen them up, prepare to stretch and to clean them, make sure you have appropriate jewelry and that your ears are ready to stretch. It is best to stretch during/after a shower or after a saline soak as the steam will help relax your earlobes. If you experience any pain or blood while stretching, stop and downsize immediately to prevent you from seriously harming your earlobes. Swelling, secreting fluids and pain are not normal when stretching so don't brush it off your shoulder as if it is.

Stretching ear should be painless and the most you should ever feel is a very slight sting. During/after your shower/soak, lube up the taper with a water-based lubricant and gently push it through your lobe. Keep the taper in for a max of 1-2 minutes and then prepare to put the jewelry in and you stretched your ear!

You should just keep them clean and dry. Washing them with antibacterial soap is a good idea. Don’t use alcohol, bactine, peroxide, etc on a fresh stretch, the chems are too harsh on that sensitive of skin. Use after piercing care solution. You can get it at places that pierce ears. Sally beauty supply has it, so does Claires and Walmart. just clean them a bit with that. But keep them dry. Oh, and dont use neosporin. Petroleum based ointments are too thick and don’t allow air to get to the piercing, which makes it heal slower, kind of like if you keep a bandaid on a scrape and it take it forever to heal.

Appropriate materials for fresh stretching ears:
Stainless steel
Titanium
14kt< gold
Niobium
Glass

Inappropriate materials for fresh stretched ears:
Acrylic (it's porous and toxic, please avoid it at all costs), Bone, Wood, Horn, Plastics and anything porous or anything that can easily break

It was well worth my money and remember to not skip 16g. Skipping 16g to 14g can still result in a blowout/torn lobe(s) so please do this properly. Please only stick to stainless steel/titanium tapers, although they'll only be in your ear for 1-2 minutes, it is really important that you stretch with the proper materials to ensure a safe stretch.

Stretching ear is a lot of fun, the history/culture is rich and fascinating and i'm sure you'll have a great time if you do this correctly.

Magnetic Earring

Magnetic Earring

Are you in the market for a great pair of hoop earrings? This type of jewelry is fun and popular but there are factors to consider if you want to get a good pair. Hoop earrings which come in a variety of styles can be found in a wide range of prices. If you keep the following considerations in mind when you look at hoop earrings, you’ll be able to find the right pair for your needs.

While you can find fashion hoop earrings in the latest styles almost anywhere, you might also want to consider more traditional types of earrings.

Vintage styles tend to be more interesting because they are not as common but are just as attractive. You can find earrings from many historical periods. Originating in the 1920s, art deco jewelry has always been popular and you can find this style in many jewelry stores and online. Antique shops and estate sales are also good places to find older styles of jewelry. Helping you to create your own style Elsa Peretti Teardrop bracelet, vintage styles of hoop earrings can give you a distinctive appearance.

For those that don’t want to pierce their ears, magnetic earrings are another option. Magnetic earrings work great for a young girl whose parents won’t let her pierce her ears or for the woman who has made the choice not to, because these type of earrings are appropriate for any age.

When they fit properly, others can’t even tell that you don’t have your ears pierced and small magnets help hold them in place. People with arthritis can reap health benefits from wearing magnetic jewelry some people claim. No studies have proven these benefits but this is one reason some people like to wear magnetic jewelry. Clip on earrings are not as comfortable to wear Link necklace, either. Consider getting magnetic hoop earrings if you like the look of hoop earrings but don’t have pierced ears.

Hoops, while traditionally circular, come in various shapes Tiffany Elsa Woman Watch, today. Those who prefer a slightly unconventional style may prefer hoops with a square shape or even a deliberately misshapen hoop. This can also be part of a natural or primitive look, as people in ancient cultures wore hoop earrings that were imperfect by modern standards. Because unusually shaped hoops are more distinctive, they are great for someone who likes to be different.

The world will never tire of the ever growing and expanding style of hoop earrings. Whether you prefer smaller or larger hoops, silver, gold or plastic, antique or modern, you can find a pair that is exactly what you need. Keep the above information in mind as you search for a pair of hoop earrings. The most important factor Frank Gehry Fish necklace, however, is to get earrings that look great on you..

Share this post! Sometimes indeed exist lots of people that favor of using various earring similar heavy, light, shape and round. If thought certainly pretty earring but making it difficult to wear earrings. Here are some ways to repair stretched earring holes.

Have the stretched earring holes injected with a filler.
A plastic surgeon or a dermatologist can inject your stretched earring holes with filler called Restylane to add strength to the stretched holes. Injects may cost several hundred dollars and the results will last for about a year before it needs to be repeated.

Use support patches.
You can buy small patches to place behind the ear lobes to support them. One such brand is called Lobe Wonder Support Patches for Earrings. As long as you don't have a complete tear, these patches will make it easier for you to wear earrings.

Have your stretched earring holes surgically repaired.
If you have a complete ear lobe tear, your only long term option is to have it surgically repaired. (earring holes)

Earring holes can keep sealing up when don’t wear earring every often. Earring holes would close since you only got it done less than six months. Usually your skin grows fast, especially when it is new tissue. For instance, I took my earrings out about five months into the process and it closed within two hours.

Some people do have their earring holes close up very quickly. In general they also tend to be the ones with sensitive ears. People have extremely allergic to all but good gold or silver and theirs will close up quickly. The best thing to do is force the earring through (shouldn’t bleed much), clean it with the ear solution and don't leave them out in the future.

Cause earring holes, ideally you should get just a very plain pair of studs to wear during the day. If you don’t want to then you can get sleeper earrings (he are just small hoops that sort of fasten inside themselves so they don’t dig into your neck) but you can just wear normal studs to sleep anyway.

You can try wearing the small tiny studded earrings. It doesn't necessarily mean you need to use the type they use for babies to prevent from sealing up. Just regular stud earrings are fine as long as they don't hurt. Try wearing earrings even once a week to prevent it from sealing up.

To stop your earring holes sealing up, you must always wear earrings unless to wear thick earrings because after a day of not wearing them they can hurt like hell to put back in. Good luck! I wish you won't close up as easy as you.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://earring-holes.blogspot.com/2009/05/how-do-i-stop-my-earring-holes-sealing.html' title='how do I stop my earring holes sealing up?
