Hot Air Balloon di Putrajaya kembali lagi untuk kali ke7. Tapi kali pertama cik Tikah nak pergi walau Puchong-Putrajaya amatlah dekat. hehe. Since ofis dekat je, so decide pergi awal pagi sebelum masuk keja. Lagipun weekend ni nak ke MATTA Fair dan mesti ramai orang ke sini.

TIPS nak dapat close-up shot gambar-gambar belon panas Putrajaya: bersidai je tepi pagar kawasan hot air balloon tu. Sebab nak masuk kawasan tu berbayar. Kalau datang pagi, pilih area menghadap Monumen Alaf Baru/Umai sebab matahari kat belakang. Dan belon pun is facing you and lagi dekat. Lepas dah ambil gambar belon naik, cepat2 ke area Picnic Area @ Monumen tu untuk dapat shot belon-belon terbang bergentayangan atas tasik.

Ni gambar sekitar area Picnic Area.. nak masuk area picnic area dgn Doof sofa tu berbayar. ada couple buat pre-wedding photoshoot lagi tadi.ada band bawah pokok, layanz.. Giant Bubble Putrajaya pun ada 1 kawasan sebelahnya.

Too bad kedai ni bukak 9am, tak dapat nak makan Churros.

Tapi ada 1 zone untuk foodie ye. Berderet-deret kedai bukak yang nampak yummy.

Food truck pun ada! KFC, Pizza, Ayamas, KopieSatu, A&W pun anto foodtruck memasing.

Takyah beli Coconut Shake kedai ni. Too many ice dia guna so rasa nipissssssss.. RM5 satu (saiz besar+aiskrim je dia jual). Nyesal tak beli KopieSatu

Too bad most tak start lagi masa kul 9 pagi tu. Aku sudah 15minit lambat ke opis! Adios!

p/s: sila parking kat parking awam yang banyak tu. tadi banyak keta gatai parking tepi jalan kena saman.

Ini ringkasan untuk rancang sendiri honeymoon ke Bali. Tidak perlu guna ejen atau travel company. Cuma perlu bersusah-payah sedikit je. Tips ni berdasarkan pengalaman sendiri rancang bulan madu ke Bali untuk adikku. Dah selamat sampai pun dia ke Bali semalam. Hehe. Boleh baca kisah panjang lebar Pilih Flight ke Bali untuk Honeymoon dan Pilih Hotel Honeymoon di Bali.

Yang ini ringkasannya:

1. Pilih cheapest flight to Bali.

Selalunya promo AirAsia memang the best, tapi sekarang Malindo dan MAS pun selalu sangat buat promotion. Especially kalau plan nak beli agak lewat, i.e. sebulan sebelum nak fly.

Extra tips: Kalau perlu baggage, jangan lupa bandingkan harga tiket AirAsia+baggage tau. Jangan semata bandingkan harga tiket je.

2. Guna Skyscanner as Shorcut.

Kalau pening nak check AirAsia, Malindo, MAS, Lion Air, Garuda dll satu-persatu, guna je Skyscanner. Cuma isi destinasi dengan tarikh pilihan je. Kan mudah? Cuma ingat, kalau AirAsia harga tiket belum termasuk harga additional baggage.

3. Pilih Accomodation Pelbagai Cara

Sekarang terlalu banyak pilihan untuk accomodation. Ini antara cara-cara yang boleh digunakan:

Agoda
Booking.com
AirAsiaGo (flight+hotel)
Malindo Holidays (flight+hotel)
Pakej Bali Groupon

Dan banyak lagi sebenarnya i.e Expedia, Hotels.com. Cuma 5 cara di atas tu, the best price yang aku jumpa hari tu.

Extra tips: Cari room yang luas ( > 30m²), private villa, yg ada bathtub, yg ada garden/sea view. Ada sesetengah tu siap ada private pool lagi, dan takde la mahal sangat pun..

4. Request Honeymoon Deco for FREE

Memang banyak hotel kat Bali yang ada honeymoon package untuk suite, villa, romantic dinner, couple massage dan macam-macam laaa. Tapi harganya? Mahal bangat... So tips nya, sebelum pilih hotel, email hotel dan tanya boleh ke diorang arrange simple honeymoon deco. Contohnya, ni email aku (takde sebut free pun, hehe).

5. Cari Supir (kalau perlu)

Indonesia memang sinonim dengan supir (driver). Memang ada pilihan untuk sewa basikal/motor di Bali, tapi untuk short distance ok la. Lagipun untuk berbulan madu di Bali kan, manjakan diri sikit.

Untuk minimumkan kos, cuma upah supir di Bali untuk 2 hari pun cukuplah. Selebihnya explore dengan motor or free shuttle yang ada. Kalau hotel takde free return transfer to airport, boleh upah supir untuk hari pertama/terakhir. Especially kalau flight sampai awal/berangkat lewat.

Extra tips: Pilih supir Muslim untuk better suggest tempat makan halal. Di Bali, "halal" juga bermaksud "tidak dicuri". So babi pun halal kat sana. hehe.

Harap-harap post ni bermanfaat kalau korang pun berkira-kira nak honeymoon ke Bali. Untuk ke tempat lain pun, boleh guna some of the tips =)

Pilih Hotel Honeymoon di Bali

Sambungan kisah Pilih Flight ke Bali untuk Honeymoon adik aku.

Soalan selalu orang tanya kalau ke Bali: Mahu pilih Kuta Kuta, Legian, Seminyak atau lain-lain tempat? Kalau backpackers, lazimnya ramai pilih Kuta and Legian. Tapi ni sebab honeymoon, aku tanya adik aku dulu. Nak tempat yang senang walking distance or tempat yang memang betul2 nak relax, aman tenteram. Hehe.

Pilihan kami: Seminyak. Sebab utama: nak secluded area.

Sebab kedua: aku perasan beza saiz bilik yang amat ketara. Mostly room Kuta/ Legian around 18-25m² je. Whereas Seminyak, berlambak 30-50 m². For the same price.

Masa tu aku dah berminat sangat dengan The Studio Bali. Bilik besar, room and hotel deco yang aku rasa tenang and tak serabut.

Tuptup aku teringat Groupon selalu buat promotion hotel Bali. Aku pun search plak pakej Bali di Groupon. OMG. Banyaknya option!

The best offer by D’ Djabu, so aku gi counter-check price kat Agoda, Booking.com. Memang price Groupon is the best. Kenapa aku pilih D’ Djabu? Sebab dia the only hotel yang offer all-in services: return transfer (paling penting) and daily breakfast. Free shuttle to nearby area, wifi dan deluxe room plak tu.

Hati aku masih berkenan dengan The Studio Bali. Haha. So aku emel kedua-dua hotel, tanya boleh ke setup bilik tu untuk honeymoon couple. Just simple deco letak bunga sket dan towel swan pun jadikla.. Dedua said yes, without additional charge. Tapi The Studio Bali ada additional charge untuk daily breakfast and return transfer.

Konklusinya? Untuk buat decision both flight and accommodation, aku came out with this table:

Ni cara-cara aku hunt untuk best price untuk honeymoon package sendirian berhad ke Bali. Honeymoon adik ye, bukan sendiri punya. Sobsob..

Search AirAsia, Malindo, MAS dan lain-lain untuk pilih flight paling murah. Alternatively, boleh search kat Skyscanner as a shortcut untuk cross-check multiple airlines.

Confirm, AirAsia and Malindo paling murah. Sekarang cuma nak main-main dengan date je. Date pilihan adik 19-23 Januari 2015. Masa ni cabaran bermula. Sebab AA tak include baggage, Malindo ada free baggage. Aku prefer pergi AA, balik Malindo or return flight Malindo pasal baggage ni. Tapi….

- Kalau 19-23 Jan: AirAsia paling murah (inclusive of additional 20kg), tapi flight timing tak best. Flight pergi petang. Malindo pulak flight balik mahal.
- Kalau 19-22 Jan: pergi balik Malindo lagi murah dari AirAsia. Tapi nak short 1 day ke?

So, nak tentukan total cost, pilih accommodation in Bali pulak..
Planning asal, nak search Booking.com, Agoda je... Pastu terperasan both AirAsia dan Malindo ada pakej flight+hotel. AirAsia ada AirAsiaGo. Malindo ada Malindo Holidays. Erkkkkk. Apalagi, lagi sekali aku main-mainkan date 19-22 dan 19-23 tu untuk both Malindo and AA pula..

Again, masalah yang sama. AA menang, best in price but flight timing yang problem. Malindo pulak, option hotel limited lagi. Baru je launched masa tu..

A Famosa Resort Water Theme Park

Bahagian kedua review lawatan ke Water Theme Park A Famosa Resort, jemputan oleh A Famosa Resort, Melaka melalui Blooggers Dot Com. Bahagian pertama sila baca A Famosa Resort Safari Wonderland.

Perut dah kenyang dengan lunch di Lake View Restaurant. Terus siap-siap tukar baju sebab nak ke Water Theme Park pula.

Mula-mula dibawa ke High Speed Slides. Tapi cuma Rawlins & Macikz Konah je berani try. Yang lain terlebih gayat and cuak. Then try Inner Tube Slide. Memang best, takdela tinggi,sesuai la untuk si penakut like me. Yang bestnya, si Macikz Konah berjaya shoot this awesome pics of me & Ieda. Haha. Macam jet-ski!

I Scream with BIG Ice Cream

Aduh mak.. Seriously gayat dan penakut. Mula-mula almost kensel nak try. Tapi last-last naik jugak. Nasib baik bukak spec, so xnampak sangat ketinggian masa naik tangga. Kami berempat siap bagi chance orang lain potong queue lagi-punyala takut. Ekekeke.

Akhirnya saat gemuruh tiba. Saat mula ditolak aje, Macikz Konah dah start jerit. Haha.. Apelagi, terus pejam mata, tak sanggup tengok. Saat meluncur turun, kejap-kejap buka mata. Aik? Nampak corong lagi. Pejam lagi. Bukak mata lagi. Stil tak sampai. Bila dah lepas corong tu, baru la bukak mata. Ahaks.

Memang cocok la nama Ice Cream dengan I Scream. Gambar Big Ice Cream ni semua taken from blog Izzati.

Tamatlah sudah lawatan kami ke A Famosa Resort. Selepas minum petang di Side Walk Café, kami dapat goodie bag. Yay, dapat plush toys termasuk Momo, maskot A Famosa Resort. Terima kasih banyak-banyak Blooggers DotCom dan pihak A Famosa Resort atas jemputan.

Bestnya kat Water Theme Park A Famosa Resort ni, sebab tak perlu beratur panjang. Cuma 1 je cadangan utama: Lebihkan toilet/shower room dan pastikan lebih bersih yaa.. Terutama sekali sebab kita tengah menyambut Tahun Melawat Malaysia 2014 =)

Ini adalah bahagian pertama untuk review lawatan ke Safari Wonderland, A Famosa Resort, jemputan oleh A Famosa Resort, Melaka melalui Blooggers Dot Com. Seriously, ini pertama kali datang ke sini. So memang teruja la bila dapat jemputan. Kebetulan pulak, lawatan kali ni dengan geng bloggers yang havoc: Rawlins, Jae Hashim, Izzati, Macikz Konah. Dan pertama kali kenal Ieda, Yana and Ched.

Kami bertolak dari Menara Safuan dengan van yang disediakan pihak A Famosa Resort. Bila sampai je, kami disambut oleh Zac, PR A Famosa Resort yang ramah. Terus je kami dibawa untuk merasai pengalaman VIP di Safari Wonderland, sebab kami dapat bas dan layanan special daripada pengunjung lain.

Waaa. Pengalaman di sini terasa macam kat Jurassic Park. Boleh tengok pelbagai haiwan yang memang bebas berkeliaran di Safari Wonderland ni. Ada seladang, rusa, unta, buaya, harimau, singa dan macam-macam lagi.

Feed The Tiger

Tapi saat paling teruja, bila kami dapat exclusive privilege untuk merasa pengalaman Feed the Tiger. Tengokla gambar kitorang yang cuak-cuak nak bagi harimau ni makan, walaupun ada penghadang. Hehe…

Kalau pengunjung biasa, cuma boleh lihat sahaja dari kenderaan. Kalau nak merasa pengalaman ekslusif beri harimau makan ni, kena bayar RM50/seorang. Dapat exclusive tour jugak.

Selepas habis tour, kami menonton pertunjukan Colour of Birds pula. Burung kakak tua, enggang, helang, flamingo semua muncul masa ni. Part paling best to me ialah sesi burung kakak tua yang telah dilatih bercakap. Serious kelakar bila dengar bunyi mengilai, nyanyi lagu Happy Birthday dan macam-macam lagi lah! Actually ada banyak lagi tarikan di sini. Ada Monkey Island, ada persembahan lain, ada Animal Rides..Tapi masa kami terhad. So lepas selesai pertunjukan Color of Birds pula, kami lunch di Lake View Restaurant. Sedap woo makanan kat sini.

Ni dekat sungguh dengan kampung abah, huhu. Saya sendiri pernah jejak sekali je. Pemiliknya, William Kellie Smith sempat bina separuh jalan je bila dia meninggal. Sekarang ni Kellie’s Castle memang dibuka untuk dilawat, bayaran Rm5 kalau tak silap.

Ria Apartment ( Genting Highlands)

Perghh. Ini memang legend la. Sebab memang few of my friend memang pernah kena kacau kat sini. So sampai sekarang, memang blacklist la tempat ni. Orang ketuk pintu tengah malam, bunyi bising dan macam-macam la. Kalau tak silap, ada nombor apartment tertentu je yang jadik mangsa. Laman travel TripAdvisor pun senaraikan Ria Apartment sebagai haunted apartment seh..

Bukit Tunku (Kuala Lumpur)

Tempat orang kaya-kaya pun ada hantu. Hehehe. Sebab tempat yang asalnya dipanggil Kenny Hills ni ada rumah British colonial lama. Tak tahu la skang masih berhantu sangat ke tak, sebab ini kurang popular to me.

Banglo Jalan Turi, Bangsar (Kuala Lumpur)

Satu lagi yang aku tak pernah dengar. 20 tahun lalu ada kes pembunuhan ngeri kat banglo Jalan Turi ni. Banglo dah pun dimusnahkan.

Should you go to Malaysia International Travel Mart 2013 Travel Fair? 1st of all, it is not even close to MATTA Fair. Not even 1/10 of it. Its a small-scale travel fair organized by Malaysian Chinese Tourism Association (MCTA). Apart from few airlines, most of the booths are occupied by travel agents.

Whenever I'm at travel fair, I dont bother with all the packages. What I do is hunting for freebies, contests and booklets/brochures/information. The 1st counter I went was DPR Korea Tourism. Learnt something new: Just like Bhutan, we need to use travel agent to enter North Korea. Cannot go backpacking on our own.

Here are my freebies/gifts I received from MAS, DPR Korean Tourism and Amazing Thailand counters. Not much. The best counter to win free stuff is Malaysia Airlines (MAS). They have Twitter contest, Land the Plane contests, and the simplest one-Scan QR Code.

But here is the best part, I love collecting all these booklets/maps. Some I didn't get it during last MATTA Fair.

Though this is organized by Malaysian Chinese Tourism Association (MCTA), it still cater to others- so dont think only for Chinese yaa. Even have counters for Muslims. But back to the questions should you go to Malaysia International Travel Mart 2013 Travel Fair? I would say, YES if you happens to go to Mid Valley Megamall or currently looking for travel package.

Awesome View at Taman Tasik Taiping

This time, I have no purpose to travel to Taiping. I was here because I "whine" this on my Facebook.

Thanks to another travel buddy, Ilham, I'm here at Taman Tasik Taiping (Taiping Lake Garden). While waiting for Ilham who attended to her workstation job, I took my own sweet time to appreciate the park's beauty.

Taman Tasik Taiping is the first public garden in Malaysia (formerly known as Malaya). Your journey to Taiping is not complete if you didn't visit here.

When I was here, it was around 9 am. I can see many people jogging, tai chi, wu shu practice or simply just strolling. Lots of senior citizens here too.

While I was walking and busily taking pictures, I saw 2 foreigners with camera and microphone. 1 of the guy said "Selamat Pagi" and I returned the greeting. But when I met them again, I asked them what are their project. They were delighted knowing I can speak English. We chatted a bit, he interviewed me and I invited him for Raya. Hehe.. Another new friends Aaron & Jordan from New York.

I really don't have much to say here. I was totally mesmerized by the trees . Looking at the pokok angsana make me felt as if I'm in Hogwarts! 1 tree reminded me of the Whomping Willow. The view is breathtaking, I feel at peace here. I didn't feel tired walking for almost 2 hours here, during fasting month.

Tanjung Piai - Southern Most Tip of Mainland Asia

Oh my! This was actually an unplanned trip while I was in Johor last June. I was actually planning for "3 Day, 3 Countries" which should include JB-Singapore-Batam. Unfortunately, my return flight was rescheduled to an earlier time, which make it not worthwhile for me to rush to Batam.

Confession: I never even heard of Tanjung Piai before. Guilty as charged!

Thankfully, my travel buddy, Hawa, who is also my host in JB, suggested this on our last day. The 3 of us - me, Hawa and Fareed, spent almost 2 hours driving there. From JB, just aim to Pontian/Kukup signboard. Dont forget to stop by at any stalls selling banana fritters, since they are quite different - pisang goreng with sambal kicap, Johor's tradeamark. Yummylicious! I just love street foods.

Oh ya, here is the entrance cost at Tanjung Piai National Park:

RM 5 for 18-50 years old. RM 3 for above 50 or below 18. FREE for under 6 years old.

So what actually Tanjung Piai National Park offers? Well, for us, we just enjoyed walking through the mangrove forest. Just take a stroll, enjoy the flora and fauna. Though I was a bit disturbed (scared a bit too) with the monkeys there. Trauma with the monkeys during my Langkawi island hopping trip.

But actually there are more to offer here. Those who loves fishing may do so at the jetty. Camping and motivational group are possible too, but seems a bit pricey since this is not a mere forest camping spot.You can even buy a certificate at RM 5 to "certify" you have reached the Southern Most Tip of Mainland Asia. How cool is that?

And the trip with Fareed is never complete without "gambar lompat" (jumping pictures). Hehe.. Fat girl can jump bebeh!

Here are the spots of must-take-picture at Tanjung Piai National Park, namely Tanjung Piai Landmark and also at the Tip of Mainland Asia of course.

So now, since I'm already at Southern Most Tip of Mainland Asia , I'm planning to reach the Northern Most Tip of Borneo at Tanjung Simpang Mengayau, Kudat,Sabah pulak.. Hehe..

So it is true as what I understood, this BIG AirAsia sales is just the same with promo free seats AirAsia before this.

"Starts from 0 BIG Points onwards". Means, ONLY some locations with 0 BIG point. Others you need to redeem with "lowest BIG points".

If you are frequent AirAsia ticket hunter, you will understand these terms:
Free seats/ 0 fare = 0 BIG points

Lowest fare = Lowest BIG points.

And YES. Buying from Tune2BIG website is damn frustrating. The server severely make everyone pissed off, the payment channel also still charge the convenience fee - ironically, we are using BIG card at BIG website. WTH?
