Last week was spent going for @chasingwaterfalls hens night where we (most) all dressed up according to the theme.

It was my first hens night because not many of my friends are married or getting married. It was quite fun.

The food was ok but I felt a little too full in the end. Haha. It wasn't the typical hens night which involves crazy drinking. Just a lot of jokes and laughter.

Saturdays was spent in centre then off to facial at my aunt's.

I hope they will not return after they heal.

After accompanying me from 430pm to 630pm, 乖乖 Ray let me choose where I want to eat. Hee.

I chose big mama because I always see it on reviews but never got to go because it is quite out of the way (from yishun).

Who says I don't eat beef?

Haha.

I only eat marinated beef. I don't like steak those kind. Only the korean version. So good. #dayrefatties

It was our first time so we didn't know the serving size is so huge and even thought the pricing was a little too much.

The waitress had to stop us from ordering more because we were ordering 2 dishes that are meant for group sharing.

I wanted soup, Ray wanted meat. So she suggested getting soup that is meant to be shared and the beef ☝️that is of smaller size.

Memories came flooding back as I walked past the 139 basketball court. It seems like it's just yesterday when @chasingwaterfalls was convincing me to quit volleyball and join NPCC when we were in sec 1.

And also us running up and down the HDB block to get away from the boys who wanted to get our numbers.

Tomorrow she's tying the knot. 13 years just flew by like that. It's crazy.

I was too paiseh to eat just now and I'm suffering from my super 薄脸皮.

Ray is still not here to pick me up, I need food and sleep otherwise I will die....

First time as bridesmaid

A bridesmaid POV

As I saw my friend's post on her wedding, I thought I would follow her post and write a bridesmaid POV. Haha.

Girls, do not say Yes to being a bridesmaid if you're not really ready. My feet feels like I just ran 10km yesterday in heels now. Haha.

Time check: 5am

I woke up on my own. Didn't even need an alarm clock because I was too excited and worried that I'll over sleep. Ok, maybe also because my fiancé was snoring the whole night right beside my ears that disrupted my sleep.

Did my make up, straightened my hair, drink some meal replacement because I know I probably don't have time to eat.

Sat around for a bit before I go to the 👰 house.

Time check: 7am

Reached the 👰 house but the mama not at home. I offered to help her put on some simple makeup for the morning because they didnt intend to hire MUA for the morning.

She went out to chongpang to buy cake. While waiting, I just hanged around the 👰 room while she does her makeup to enjoy the air con. It was so hot.

Done with the mama makeup by around 750am. I actually didn't allocate enough time to do hair but I don't really think her hair looks nice so I suggested to curl.

It was really quick curl because I had to rush down to the gatecrash place.

Time check: 8 something am

The boys playing the games that were painstakingly designed by the 👰 herself.

There are 3 stations to cross and they pass each of them easily. No pumping, no eating of gross stuff. Everything is very edible. I ate them the night before while preparing. Haha

Fast forward to the real gate guarding. We obviously asked for Ang bao. The first one has 7 $10 note and multiple $2 note.

Like what? Only this?

The 🎩 then give us 1 more Ang bao that contains $8. The girls are not happy. Haha

The 🎩 give us one last $8 angbao and oh well, he said that the 👰 says we won't ask for more.

Then, we opened the door. We are such noobs at blocking door. Lol

While waiting for the couple to take some photos in the mosquitoes infested woods at seletar North link. We chit chat in the car, hiding from the heat and dust that trucks pick up from the street when they zoom pass us.

I was in the dirtiest groomsmen car for the day aka chongyan lol. At first they said they are gg for car wash so have to wait awhile.

When I first saw the car, I was like... What? Are you sure you washed your car?

Apparently the queue was too long. Anyway it was a blessing in disguise given the amount of dust and dirt at seletar.

We headed to 🎩 place after the shoot and oops! Someone forgot to bring the kua, and we had to drive back to get it.

Side story for photoshoot:

One of the groomsman's pants was torn even before the gate crash started. So when he came into the 👰 house, he sat down immediately. Lol.

While on the way to seletar, we will pass by his place so he went back to get a new pair of pants that's of another shade and everyone noticed. Hahahaha

He was like, 'I thought I can say it's the gatecrash that made my pants tear' lol but the kind bride prepared a very different and super mild gatecrash game.

Time check: 12pm

Tea ceremony and 🎩 house. We stood around the toilet area chit chatting while waiting for the ceremony to end.

One of the groomsmen erm Jonathan? Idk his name. Paiseh. He went to the toilet to you know, shit.

Wah, I tell you. It was loud. We didn't pay attention at first until another groomsmen, bobbie, who wanted to go to the toilet announced how loud the sound is. You know...

He was in the toilet for almost 15 to 25 minutes. When he came out, woah... 臭气冲天

He was damn paiseh because the smell kept coming out. So I passed him my secret weapon. Lol.

It's a freshener meant for toilet after shit. He went back in to drip the goodness into the toilet bowl and instantly it smelled good.

Haha. They started taking photo of my toilet bowl freshener because they said they need it. Apparently, all guys shit damn often and when they shit..... 💥 happens.

Anyway, after the tea ceremony we went out to eat. It was almost the exact same spread as the night before at the 👰 place.

Neo Gardens curry is so good. But anyway, one of the bridesmaid accidentally got curry stain of her dress. Which in retrospect, maybe I should have done it. Hahaha. Sorry 👰 but I thought I looked quite odd one out in the night when there's no more grey 😂

My mom asked me this morning, 为什么你酱不一样？别人的都很好看。 thanks ah mom. Thanks.

BTW, 👰 asked me if I'm helping with the

Ppt that another BM did because she couldn't make it. I tried to put on my poker face and kept denying it. I hope I was successful or she was too busy to care.

Rushed back home to shower before heading to the hotel to makeup for the MIL.

It was a mad rush. I have 1h 30mins to do everything. Shower, blow dry my hair, dry my clothes because they were soaking in sweat from the morning events, do my makeup for the night and tie my hair up too.

Time check: 220pm

Convinced R to go to the hotel with me because the things are really too heavy for me to carry since I intended to change after the first March in, I had to bring my dress.

Had a little argument here with R because he was hungry and I didn't allocate enough time for him to get food. Sorry. I couldn't be late for the makeup because I have to go to the wedding venue by 515pm for the rehearsal.

MIL hair was the toughest. It was short and not very well behaved. She wanted an updo so I tried my best. Oh, which reminds me, I brought some accessory for her so @chasingwaterfalls help me take it back from your MIL. Thanks. I don't usually do that la. Only brides get accessory.

Time check: 510pm

Reached tamarind Hill and R forgot to withdraw money. Facepalm.

Anyway, he had more than enough time so he went to withdraw after dropping me off.

I left my things in the storeroom and went out for the rehearsal. It was a quick rehearsal. 5 mins gao dim already. I mean it wasn't rocket science, just listen to lyrics then walk in lo.

Time check: 630pm

The solemnisation was over. It was a quick one. I expected the vows to be longer but they were quite short and sweet.

They were taking some photos when I went back to check if the 👰 needs touch up. We went back to the store room where they re record their Vow. The sound system during the solemnisation wasn't the best.

So anyway, only had to do minimal touch up on the nose because she rubbed them off while she was sobbing i think.

After that touch up, we just hang around until 730pm for the first March in. I drank quite a bit by now on empty stomach. Haha. It was fun catching up with people.

Anyway, it was a little messed up during the 1st March in but everything turned out fine after that. The 👰 bouquet was still in the store room so we sent my march in partner mervin to collect it.

All is cool. We walked in. Cut this cake that was almost impossible to cut. Hahahaha. Then back to table.

My next job will be 9pm because I need to help the bride 👰 to touch up and redo her hair.

So in between we just drink again because the food took forever to come. Nothing to do, drink lo. Plus, I was a bit nervous about the speech so drink to 壮胆 haha.

Oh! I forgot to mention that I got told off my the 👰 twice to not hand my phone around my neck. Haha

I admit it doesn't match but my grey by then also don't match anyone liao ma. Hahahaha. Jingyi why u no come 😭 ok la, bo bian kind of situation. Such is life.

The appetiser came! Erm we thought it was going to be more cause the menu looks quite comprehensive. 3 dishes leh.

In the end, they are tiny servings of each dish. Lol. It wasn't nice.

I thought the egg was an hard boiled egg and stuffed it into my mouth whole.

Wtf.

Wrong move.

It was a salted egg. I didn't read the fine lines in the menu. Damn paiseh to spit it out so I quickly stuffed more of the radish thing? Idk what is it. Or papaya? Yea, whatever, into my mouth. Almost died of kidney failure. Hahahaha

Apparently I wasn't the only one. Haha many of the guests ate it like that too.

Anyway, after that, I went to look for the cards for the guests to write because the staff cleared away all the things on the reception table so that they can set up the main table.

Then, I went around asking people to write. We need more pens, guys, take note of that.

It was the hardest to get the family to write. They all looked at me and shook their heads when I asked them to write.

Then, I kind of force some of them to write by saying one family just write one la. Haha but I was smiling ok. Drink until high already by now. Lol

So, went back to sit down because too much walking was making me damn tired. Maybe alcohol too.

But I drank again haha. The mains was still not served by 855pm. I was devastated. Because I had to leave at 9pm to help 👰 prepare for 2nd march in. So drink again to fill up my stomach. I had no idea how much I drank. Everyone is so happy.

We just keep 🍻 🍻 🍻 idk how many times. Maybe every time someone new joins the table. Hahahaha.

I was reading my speech at 855pm because I totally forgot about preparing for it in between.

Oh, we also stick the cards up the beautiful display on the easel and carried them to the front where people can see.

As u can see, r and I are already red and this was before the 1st march in. Hahaha

The other BM did a speech then followed by the song. Omg. She couldn't finish singing because she was crying so we sang with her. So touching. I was tearing. Lol

When it was finally my turn. Gosh, I had the script but I went off script so many times. I was lost mid way that my hands started to tremble. Ok, my hands were shaking when. I was putting the lip stick for the 👰

Note: don't drink so much when you're bm.

But I was so happy. I don't drink that often. Nowadays, I only drink when there's happy occasions. Happy drinking is good. Hahahaha

After the speech, we went back to our table. To my horror, they cleared my main dish away.😭😭😭😭 I only had time to take two mouthful before the 2nd march in. I am hungry.

So drink again lo. This whole post is the beginning to sound like the start of an alcoholic. Hahahaha

The night ended with some drinking game that you're supposed to flip the cup after u drink.

Erm, I'm known to be jelly legs because I Suck at drinking. So the 👰 team kept losing. And I can't flip cups too. Haha so just keep play cheat and turn the cups manually. Lol.

This is probably my longest post. Haha

Thank you so much for choosing me to your bm. I may not have done the things to your expectations but I am so honoured to be part of your wedding. It was indeed a fun filled experience and I can't wait for all the weddings to come when our girlfriends all get married.

This might be the most gao gang wedding ever but it was definitely something we will remember for the rest of our lives.

I haven't been updating daily because my days are so packed and fun. Haha.

Last FRIDAY, I met up with my girls for dinner. We were supposed to meet at 730pm but my class ended earlier so two of us met earlier.

We were chatting and it was nice catching up. When it's just one on one, you get to talk to each other more.

The bride to be arrived rather late and we changed to another restaurant for the couple to eat.

Three of us have been stuck together since sec sch days and we became close because of our CCA. We call ourselves 'Traffic light' because we were from three different coloured houses that represented the three colours.

Two of us are already engaged hence the picture. It was meant for the bf to spot the difference. *winkwink*

On SATURDAY, R and I attended his friend's wedding at Alkaff Mansion. It was a really beautiful solemnisation and the food was not bad. Too bad, they're closing soon.

Anyway, that was my makeup and hair. I love the contact lens my sis bought for me from Korea. The brown colour is so chio!

Anyway, funny story.

RAYMOND LOST OUR ANG BAO!!!

I thought he has a pocket in his jacket so it's safer to keep the Ang bao with him instead of me holding in my hands. You know how the nice tiny little bag are too small to fit the Ang bao in. I don't want to crush them.

So, he thought it was safe too. We walked around thinking that it's all good. Until he came back from his usual business in the toilet..... Holy crap....

He asked me

Are the Ang baos with you?

Are you kidding me??? I almost fainted. Haha

Luckily, the photographer picked it up somewhere and passed to the groomsman who happened to be R's friend.

Heng ah.

But he tried to play a prank on R by not telling him he had the red packets for some time while R and I searched high and low.

The food was surprisingly not bad. Initially I thought that it might not be that nice since they're closing soon so maybe the chefs run away already. There was a dessert but I didn't take a picture of it. Haha.

After the whole wedding lunch, we went to Vivocity hoping to find a skirt for my bridesmaid clothes because huge ass me looks like an elephant 🐘 / hippopotamus in the tulle skirt that the bride 👰 bought from tb.

One of the lousy physical traits I inherited from my paternal family. 大屁股.

Anyway, we ended up not buying anything for me but a lot of things for Raymond haha. He loves shopping 🛍 which is good and bad for me because I don't get to shop as much.

We went home to rest, had dinner with his family before heading to the after party at blujazz.

Everyone from the Batard group left quite early, r was complaining how he was just about to get high and everyone wants to leave. 😂

It's quite a good idea to have such after party since you can't really mingle with your friends during the actual wedding.

I would say I enjoyed myself a lot that day. It's generally quite fun and funny to hang out with this bunch. They talk a lot of cock 🐓 which never seems to end. Everything can become something funny. Haha 💪

SUNDAY was spent eating our favourite curry chicken rice at Yishun Safra for brunch, discussing and deciding some stuff for the wedding then watching Conjuring 2 with Batard.

I think we watched Annabelle with them as well.

Conjuring 2 is so fucking scary. Wts. Though I enjoy such shows (demonic possession), I just don't dare to look at it. Listening to it is fine, I won't be that scared. The jump scare is a little too much when you look at them.

Fast forward to today because I didn't do much yesterday except work.

I made my own lunch before I headed out to work. Pan seared scallops and prawns in olive oil, boiled broccoli and pan fried marinated chicken fillet in olive oil as well. Trying to eat better but not compromising taste. Going to have my salad tomorrow that I bought yesterday.

I am going to try to refrain from eating deep fried stuff that I like. It is very hard, but I try la.

Omg! I just ordered mcdelivery and it says they will arrive at 1030am. But it arrived at 1010am. I was putting on my clay mask and had to open the door to collect the food!

Just kill me now!!!!!!

My order from zalora came but the sizing is too big! I totally overestimated my fatness.

It's the skirt that forms the bridesmaid costume. I bought L size thinking that I should be able to fit just nice.

But Holy crap! It's so loose. If not for my huge ass, I don't think I can hold the skirt in place.

And so, I panicked because I know the Chong pang auntie confirm wouldn't want to alter for me. There were simply too many layers.

But everything worked out very well today. If it's God helping, thanks ah!

So what happened was Ray decided not to drive to work and told me I can use his car for the day.

Then, my friend replied my message from last night. Her mom is a half retired tailor and I used to get her to help me alter some of my shorts.

She said that I can bring over to her place for her mom to see if she can tighten it but no promises because if it's too complicated, she might not want to do it as well.

So, I set off to my only tuition class for today. Got my nails touched up because some parts chipped off. Lucky me, the manicurist was free. Got it done in 10mins.

Got home to get my glasses and skirt. Then, to my friend's house. Lucky for me, but not so lucky for her, she was on MC. So, I feel less paiseh to just turn up at her door.

We were discussing about how should we alter, should we just make it tighter or put an elastic band or whatever.

After that, I told the mom that if it's simpler to put elastic band, then let's just do that because I know there are really too many layers. Too ma fan.

She said ok and that she will do it straight away so I don't need to come back again to collect. Wah, she finished in like 5 to 10 mins and it looks so much nicer that I expected.

果然是专业的👍

After that I just catch up with my friend for about 2 hours. Funny how time flies when you're just talking.

So, very happy with my day so far!

Thanks to Raymond, I don't need to chase buses or melt in the sun.

It is so frustrating.

The accountant that my partner wants me to use is an idiot.

He doesn't do his things properly and is stubborn as hell.

As I am not trained in accounting so im damn clueless about such stuff. But having friends in the audit and accounting industry help me a lot.

They readily helped me take a look at the tax computation and other stuff done by this said accountant and boom.

I have red circles coming back to me in the edited copies done by my friend on almost every

single page. Wts.

After sending those stuff back to the accountant to ask him to change, he was like no, I disagree blah blah blah.

According to my friend, some of the things that he put in do not even follow the FRS.

His english sucks too, like wth are you writing, man?

Wtf, even simple things like stamping at the appropriate corner without overlapping with the printed text, he also cannot do properly.

Why? Drink too much coffee, you hand shaking so badly that you can't aim that

bloody stamp. Seriously.

I pay you money to do that you should freaking do it properly and not like this what.

It's like me asking my student to teach me how to do his homework.

Truly an asshole.

So bloody angry right now. Fffffffffffffffffff

Why must everything bad happen in one day. I thought my sore throat will go away so I only bought strepsil hoping it will soothe it.

But no. Everything must go the opposite way. My throat got so painful that my ears hurt.

I couldn't take it anymore and went to see the doc. The doc says it's virus and not bacteria so don't need antibiotics but must drink lots of water.

He said I look very dry. Like seriously, his exact words. You look very dry.

4th time in Bali, 1st time in Uluwatu Part 2

/Day 3/

We went to the other resort that we were supposed to stay in for the 3rd and 4th day in the morning.

I had to rush curling my hair and applying the fake eyelashes at Anantara before leaving because we were afraid we might not get a room so early.

But all was fine when we reached Westin Nusa Dua. Ray, being a SPG Platinum member, got us a suite upgrade, early check in and late check out. Woohoo!

☝️I did my own makeup and hair for the casual shoot that we arranged in the afternoon.

I underestimated the heat in Bali because my makeup really stood no chance against the sweltering heat.

It was fine at first at the first location because the wind was very strong. I perspire but my make up persevered. Haha

Lucky I had an updo otherwise I would've melted under the hot sun.

But hiao me have to remove the updo because I changed my clothes so I wanted to change the style too otherwise will look same same.

I looked through so many hair tutorials to get some inspirations before I came for this trip but in the end.... I just did one anyhow.

It turned out quite ok. It's really not easy to create an updo for yourself given that your can't see where the hair is going and how you need to make sure that you look good at all angles.

I brought quite a few accessories but ended up using only one.

So we just nuaed around until 130pm before we decided that we are hungry and ordered two club sandwiches from room service.

Our Photographer, Galih, who is also my friend's brother was supposed to pick us up at 2 ish but he was a little late.

He provided transport for us that day and we went to our first venue, Melasti beach. #dayretravel

We had to pay 200,000 rupiah to take photos there although we were not taking pre wed, just casual shoot.

We didn't take any photos with our phones because the photographer was already taking so no point la.

The photos were very natural on his camera when we saw them so just waiting for him to edit them and send to us by end of June. 😊

I was quite awkward. Haha. I usually know how to smile in front of camera but oh well, that day, I froze. Like my smile was so stiff.

We moved on to the next venue, Tegal Wangi beach, after around 30 mins. The ride was pretty fast.

Upon reaching tegal wangi, we saw almost 5 to 6 couples taking pre wedding shoot. Popular place hur.

We had to pay 250000 rupiah to take photos there.

I changed in the car and waited while they got ready. At this point, I was still clueless about what was going to happen.

Ray came back telling me they were ready. Then, off we go.

Because every other couple was standing at the same place, we went to take under some tree that Galih thought was nice.

At this point, ray had to step on my feet and smear mud all over my toes. But he was sweet enough to clean it up with a piece of leaf.

Oh, it was also super hot here. Like really hot. I kept perspiring like crazy. My makeup really melted like ice cream.

So, the #proposal happened while we were taking photos. I was seriously overwhelmed by the number of things going.

I didn't react!

Gosh, I always imagine like me crying and everything but no.

Everything happened so fast, I don't even have time to react then boom, he was down on one knee and popped the question.

Like what?

So fast. So fast.

I mean I suspected that it was going to happen this trip because he was acting all weird about his luggage. But I didn't expect it to happen when I'm sweaty, makeup melting and when I was instructed to run towards a bottle by Galih.

So, this was how it happened. I plan to do a post properly about this. Maybe asking Raymond to do it as well. Haha.

There's a band, they were singing while I was reading the letter. I can't even hear them while I was reading.

And Galih was like, read out loud, read out loud.

I was like, wth, why did Galih write this?

Galih was the one who prepared the props so idk it was from ray at first.

Then, it struck me. Shit. This is happening.

My brain stopped working. Like literally.

I couldn't process any of the words in the letter like I became illiterate all of the sudden.

He proposed. I said yes.

Apparently, he requested for the band to sing our song, Lucky.

And I was asked to sing along.

God damn it. My brain stopped again. I can't remember the lyrics at all. Wts.

I hope this doesn't happen during the actual wedding when I have to say my vows.

The whole thing didn't go as he planned and didn't go as I imagined.

I didn't expect my mind to go blank. Why why why why why!

We proceeded to take some photos with the ring and got back up to take photos with the 天灯 that Galih prepared. It was beautiful if you only see the photos and didn't hear me exclaim throughout the whole process while we posed

要烧掉了！要烧掉了！Raymond不要放手！hold on to the top!!!

Holy shit, I knocked the ring on the side of my chair while explaining a word to my student. Omg. I have to be less animated and have less gestures with my left hand.

Financially ready, or not?

Ray mom dropped me off at work this morning. So, we were chatting about ray bro's wedding about when it's going to be and all.

She misheard what I said when I asked her when the brother's wedding is going to be because I remember ray telling me it's going to be 25 to 28 but she said 23 to 25.

Ok, so she thought she heard me saying that Raymond is also going to set the date then because I said Raymond 哥哥 instead of addressing his brother by his name, Ronnie.

'huh? 他也是?!'

This was her initial reaction.

I quickly corrected her and said that I was referring to the brother, not Raymond. Then, she heaved a sigh of relief.

I get why she will have that reaction so it's ok. It's what she said after that got me a little worried.

She just commented about how Ray is not financially ready and shouldn't do it so soon etc. She also continued to say that we should stay with them for a certain period of time otherwise both of them would be lonely.

So, now the question is... How financially ready should you be?

The first thing I did was to Google that question. Haha

I Google everything.

There were all sorts of answers to that question so it didn't really help.

I mean we all end up in debt in a way or another in Singapore given how the houses are so expensive here. You own the house, yes, but you also owe the bank money so actually, the bank owns the house. 😵

I'm perfectly cool with staying under one roof for a short period of time but not forever.

I want to have my own place, my own space and somewhere I call my home (under my name).

I don't want to 寄人篱下.

Plus, r is intending to go study again so means everything has to reset again. And then have to restart this whole financially stable thing so means have to wait again until there's stability.

How long would that take?

Ok, maybe I should just listen to R only since I'm marrying him and not to his mother.

U worry too much. R always tells me that.

On a happier note, I was just browsing pinterest for garden wedding inspiration and they're so pretty!

I don't want the usual Chinese wedding style. I want a chill sit down dinner, everyone chit chat with each other, no gate crash, no yum seng kind of nonsense. I want to mingle with my guests, I don't want the mandatory photo with every table.

I want a small wedding where I can invite people I love and people who love me, not people I don't even see in one year or people my parents or his parents want to see.

Im not asking too much, am I?

So anyway, I was trying the excel that the planner sent us.

Ray requested for 150 pax so the total amount came up to a whopping 50k USD!

We don't intend to provide anything except for the dinner and free flow alcohol on the wedding day so I sort of don't expect my guests to give Ang bao also. So, I don't want to spend so much!

I've been trying to ask R to cut the number of guests.

He kept saying ya ya he has to look at the guest list blah blah. But from what I see, it's probably impossible if he's going to invite everyone.

Ok, give him time! Give him time! We just got back only!

I'm a bit gan chiong, ok, very often. Take a chill pill, woman!

I need to record this down.

Helped Raymond with the most mundane job in the world. He said we would leave the office at latest 1130pm but it's now 1152pm already!

I'm not even paid for this. Damn. I was paid with dinner. In fact, I had been benefiting from his free dinner if we don't eat too atas food. So, time for some pay back is it?

BTW, I got him to promise me he will semi-confirm his guest list and if we should or should not hold the wedding in Bali by this weekend since I worked for him.

Oh! We got our photos already. So fast. Ok, I really need to lose weight le. Really. I looked so fat in the photos. Not the photographer's fault since I'm just fat. Haiz. This eat clean thing is not really working out because I don't have time to prepare for every meal.

Should I buy a new air fryer? My friend was telling me how convenient it is to prepare his 'healthy' meals.

I sent flowers to R in his office yesterday. Hahaha.

It was a simple engagement present from me.

I thought it would be quite funny for him to receive flowers at work. Haha 😂

And it indeed turned out quite funny. His colleague even took photo him with the bouquet. Lol 😁

I got all the raw photos already. Like very fast. I think because they don't do as much editing in Bali.

They don't make you taller or smooth your skin etc.

Just some NG moments. The PG kept telling us to just chit chat. And ray being ray must have said something funny which made me laugh until so unglam. 😂

Went to find my aunt for facial because idk why pimples are just popping like popcorns. Crazy a lot.

I saw this article yesterday on fb and thought like WOW! I'll be there the next day and I'm so going to ta bao it home. And I did. Haha. Actually I've been eating from this stall since young and I really love it a lot. I used to drive down to eat when I was studying in NUS because it was so near.

Now that I'm forever in Yishun, I hardly eat it anymore. My sister 有口福了 cos I tabao for her too!

This is where we will be staying in June at Bali. Really v luxurious. The previous times that we'd been there, we were poor students so we couldn't afford to stay in nice hotels. #dayretravel

Work is so draining these days. I really feel very sian to come to work. I guess everyone feels the same way. Haha. I cannot imagine people working in the same environment or doing the same thing for their whole life.

I was playing with the cube the whole ofast Sunday trying to learn how to solve it. It was so frustrating when you can't get that particular piece the position you want it to be.

And then my student told me I can find some kind of formula online and just follow it.

Voila!

I completed it in less than an hour after finding the formula.

4th time in Bali, 1st time in Uluwatu Part 1

/DAY 1/

Day 1 in Bali is basically chill and relax before the crazy day 2.

We arrived at around 12pm, had our lunch at the airport because we were starving. The food wasnt good but beggars can't be choosers so whatever la.

We were trying to find the Blue Bird counter because everyone knows that only blue bird won't cheat your money cos they go my meter. But we couldn't find one.

Raymond suggested to go to the departure drop off and see if we can just get one there. Indeed, we did.

We arrived at Anantara around 2 ish I think. I can't remember. The room wasn't ready so we went to the bar by the pool to redeem our free young coconut which wasn't that young.

Our not so young coconut that took me ages to scrap the flesh off. I see muscle growing in my forearm. Hahaha

Ray, on the other hand, just heck care and didn't bother eating the flesh at all. He was so amazed by the ocean view and kept taking tons of pictures.

I was melting so I hid at any shelter I could find.

The resort is not exactly accessible so they had complimentary services to send the guests to 2 places of interests in the area.

The room is bigger than expected. We booked the cheapest ocean view room we could find on the Web.

I wanted to stay in one of the villas that we might hold our wedding in but it was a garden suite and he didnt want it. Oh well, not bad ba.

Little details that hotel do really impress me.

The toilet is huge too.

And we had a jacuzzi to ourselves! We made use of it and soaked twice. Never waste our money heehee

The ocean view from our room. I think most of the rooms will have this view so I don't know what's the point of saying this is a ocean view suite.

They even gave us a drawing block in the room should we feel inspired and artistic to draw the sunset haha

After nuaing for like a few hours, we found a nice restaurant at Jimbaran.

Cuca restaurant.

They serve in tapas size so you can share with others and they were all very special!

I especially love the dessert. Mint ice cream with chocolates and choc croutons. It tasted like they just made the ice cream fresh.

/Day 2/

We woke up at 7 so that we can grab breakfast before going for site inspection. I don't know why they call it site inspection, it sounds like we are going to find some faults with the place.

Breakfast was so so but there was a rainbow! It rained, which is unusual at this time of the year, so it was pretty cooling in the morning.

We met Stacey, the wedding planner, and headed off to our first venue, Latitude.

We didn't really fancy Latitude. It was nice but not what we were looking for.

The feeling was just not there. It felt too open for me like the villas are spread all over the place. There is an area for people to come together but it just didn't feel right.

And they didn't trim the grass and there were bald patch here and there. Bad impression.

Next stop was at Khayangan Estate. This is also a pretty small villa. Very private. But this is Javanese style which was not really my cup of tea.

However, the place is no doubt very beautiful. Tbh, all the villas had extremely breathtaking view. They were all cliff top villas facing the ocean.

Just look at this. You cant even see the other end. Not like Singapore. Haha.

The next one, which is most likely the one, is The Ungasan. It used to be called Semara.

This was actually the one that I really wanted but I thought since I'm paying someone to bring me around, why not visit them all.

They have quite a few villas here but each of them are different. They are all separated so you wouldn't feel like other people are intruding in your event.

I love how the grass is so green and they all look alive.

As you can see from the number of photos, we really like this one the most. We visited 3 different villas here.

They have their own private beach where you have to pay a fee to get to if you're not staying at the villa. There are many steps and one elevator to help you get down.

There's also a bar/restaurant below which we thought we could have a small gathering either before/after the wedding with our guests.

Also, I fell in love with this walkway in the last villa we visited at The Ungasan. I didn't tell ray how much I loved it.

I could already picture myself walking down this walkway which is flooded with natural sunlight.

The planner was also helping me visualise everything by saying how the bridesmaids will walk down first so that the photographers can get good photos of each of them.

In the middle, the father, which I corrected myself as I was repeating after him, the mother, will walk

Down with the bride. Then, the groomsmen will be at the end joining the bridesmaids and walking towards the ceremony place or whatever it's called.

Omg. This is so my #dayrebride moment.

The view is definitely super picturesque. They also have their own beach but according to the intern who brought us around, you have to take 600 steps. No elevator. Urrghh. I can't.

After The One, haha, we went to the last location. Also known to be the most chio location before we made our trip.

The Alila.

It is a resort so it wasn't as private as I want it to be. It is chio but with so many tourists walking around, it's not that chio anymore.

We got back to the hotel to rest after the viewing. It was so tiring. We actually wanted to go to padang padang beach but fell asleep until 6 plus.

We forgot to call for a blue bird and had to use the hotel transport to go back to Alila to meet my uni friend for dinner. Coincidentally, he went back to celebrate his mother's birthday this week. So, we decided to meet up for dinner and he suggested Alila.

It's Indonesian fine dining and my duck was so good. But expensive.

I really can't wait for the Bali trip to come soon. Though I've already been there like 4 or 5 times but I'm in need of a holiday! Really!

The other day I was feeling so so so down. Like I don't even know why. Menses was already over so it's definitely not because of that.

It's just feeling very drained. Ray was feeling drained too because he had to redo everything he had done when the client decided to change direction. Is it telepathy? Haha maybe it wasn't me. It was him. And I felt it?

I love this one the most! We were done shooting with one of the backdrops and were waiting to shoot at another one so we stood around.

We were instructed to look at each other and laugh so we fake laughed. Hahahaha. The effects is actually not bad. Lol

It's time to step up the lose weight game otherwise I'll look very fat in pictures.

I really need motivations to lose weight otherwise I just cannot stop myself from eating all the delicious food. I didn't used to be a foodie until I met ray. He really opened my eyes and my appetite to new and yummy good. 😋

Shopping maid for the day. Shouldn't it be the other way round?

Passed by Watsons and I couldn't stand not buying when there's a sale. But then again, Watsons seems to be having sale all the time these days.

Anyway, I bought Kate designing brow powder. Mine is almost up and I haven't been using it very regularly these days because I have quite a few ABH eyebrow pencils not used up.

I used the brow powder yesterday and fell in love with it again so I decided to buy one more for my home. The other one I left it at the centre.

Since buy 3 and get 33% off, I bought another two eyeliner. Yes, I've been through like idk 100 k palette eyeliner. I love them to bits.

It is so easy to apply and they stay on like magic. They have a new packaging with (at least new to me) two sides, one for smudging, one the normal applying end. I got one in natural brown and one in brown black. Used to just get one black one brown. But I still have my zoeva one so will use the black zoeva up then buy again

Current situation because ray is sick and his farts smell real bad so I'm breathing through the blanket using it as a filter.

He got me so worried just now. He was working halfway and I was texting my girlfriends. Then suddenly, he started shivering like crazy. Then his face turned purple.

He said he was feeling cold but we did not even switch on the air con. I wrapped a blanket around him and he continued to shiver. Like the teeth biting kind... Ka kka Ka kaa

I didn't know what to do. Then he said he needed a hot shower so I grabbed his towel, switch the heater on and he went to shower.

When he came out, I quickly put him in bed and wrapped him under 3 layers of blanket. He was still shivering. Then his face turned purple. It was so scary.

I took my hairdryer and turned it to the highest and started blowing into the blanket. He said he felt better then I got him to take his temperature. It was 38 at first.

Within like 5 mins, took temp again and it soared to 39.3. Wtf

He's better now. Back to work again. This work is sucking his life away Mann. I told him to just quit but he said to wait one more year.

What's the point of earning that extra one year's salary when it will Suck away 10 years of your life. Haiz

Got woken up at 5am because his fever came back. I couldn't go back to sleep so I went to the living room to exercise. Completed 2 fitness blender videos. One Hiit, one cardio.

His temperature got back down already. I hope it's not zika.

Pasta J Asian

Anyway since I can't get back to sleep, I'll just talk about a dinner I had at pasta j.

I ordered their chowder and it was so so good. It's made from pork bone broth and they have bacon in it! Yum!

Ray and I shared our mains so I ordered herb chicken leg pasta and ray being ray ordered the largest size so they took a longer time to cook because the leg was humongous.

I would say it was quite nicely cooked given the size. The pasta was slightly overcooked but the taste was still not bad.

This was the chef recommendation. Pork chop with sautéed mushrooms I think.

The person told us (I think the boss) that the pork is specially chosen and cut in a way that you get the best part.

It was very well marinated but I think a little too salty.

They serve desserts too and there's creme brulee which I loveeeee.....

Yahava KoffeeWorks

We got our coffee at Yahava yesterday with Ray's buddies and gosh the coffee was so good.

Ray wanted to add his sugar so much but was stopped by his friends because sugar apparently bastardise the coffee. Haha. Poor ray because he really likes his coffee sweet.

I didn't put any sugar cos I already had one 3in1 coffee ☕ in the morning and two milo in the afternoon. So, enough sugar for one day.

Anyway the whole point is this map!

So gorgeous! It was so freaking huge and just hanging on the wall. Then we started discussing about different countries and how we should all quit our day jobs and just enjoy life..

But that's not how sgporeans roll, we are so afraid to take a break. We are all kind of tied down by things. Supporting our parents, some of us have already started paying for our own place, paying up loans blah blah blah money matters.

So we can't be like ang mo you know. 拍拍屁股 walk away.

There are so many things we are afraid to lose. But some things can only be done when we are young. Dilemma!

Got to hitch a ride to the centre today! Woo!

I've been getting really lazy these days. Last week, I cabbed to the centre twice.

But once was because I cooker lunch and dinner so there was too many things to carry and second time it was raining heavily.

At least this is how I justify to myself. Lol 😁

Ray is finally feeling better. No more fever. Last weekend was literally a sleeping weekend. Just sleep whole day.

My lunch today. Had a meeting over lunch with sister/partner at work.

The prawns were not as fresh and the pasta was too dry. Meh.

We sat there until almost everyone left and quickly took these photos. Haha.

Before that we could only take the photo from an angle that requires my sister to hold with her ultra weak left hand that kept shaking.

It's Christmas again!

Omg! I have to stop these online shopping that is sapping my money away silently.

Ok but to my defence, these are actually good for my health so can la. I rarely buy supplements because I'm not consistent in eating them.

It took me half a year to finish the evening primrose oil when I'm supposed to finish in two months.

One of these is going to go to the centre and one at home so I can replace a meal when I don't have time to buy dinner.

This will replace my unhealthy dinner of cup noodles. Yes. I'm very lazy to go buy dinner or sometimes when class extends, I would not have enough time to buy anything at all.

My brain doesn't work when I'm hungry so I have to eat.

Turns out I can't use it for the wedding in June because I won't get to the wedding lunch in time! Nooooo

Ray please bring me out on a nice date so I can do pretty makeup for a reason and not just do makeup to go 🛍/watch 🎥.

Anyway, continuing from yesterday. This is the Tahiti Laguna Bronzing Powder set that I got. It costs $90 so deducting $80, I only paid extra $10 for it. #dayremakeup

Back in 2014 when Ray went to Boston for his job training, I ordered this from Sephora.com to send over to his hotel. Back then, there's no online sephora stall in sg and nars wasn't here yet. I think. I can't remember.

But because I just used the old address that I used in 2012 when ray was in San Francisco, Mountain View.....

My order didn't get through and because it was black friday sale... It took them freaking long to process and tell me I made a mistake.

So in the end I didn't get to buy what I intended to buy. Sian.

So this time round, after trying it at the counter, it confirms that I'm definitely missing out. Haha

So many so called makeup gurus on YouTube were raving about it back then but I couldn't get my hands on it at a reasonable rate so a bit 心痛.

A little bit exaggerating but I don't care.

Makeup is a hobby to me already. I don't actively go out to do makeup for people anymore because I'm busy with my centre but once in a while when I try to do more on my own face, it's so fun and relaxing.

I mean I still do go and do makeup la but only by referrals. I don't go around finding for clients actively on my own.

Last year end, I just did for my mom's friend and her relative because the cousins got 👰1/2 weeks apart. Can't rmb.

But when it comes to makeup, Singaporeans generally don't like those crazy Ang Mo makeup that you see on YouTube.

They prefer natural but still accentuate their features. So clients can be quite demanding but nvm that, once in you life big day, be demanding lo.

So, whatever Iearnt from YouTube, I don't really use it on my clients. They can't handle it yo.

So, mostly only what I learnt from my MUA teacher is the applicable one. 😂

Oh, hairstyles definitely can use from anywhere.

It is so freaking annoying when I repeatedly said that the square of w is w^2 and the student said that he knows and continues to write square root of w as the answer.

I asked him to erase and rewrite the answer as w^2, he said ok then proceeds to write square root of w again! Repeated this process 3 times. I wonder if his body is here and the mind/soul is somewhere else.

I'm having a long day today from 11am all the way to 930pm so I don't have time to go buy food.

Hence, I cooked my lunch and dinner. Sharing with my sister as well.

Not very aesthetically pleasing but edible la. Stir fry nai bai with shitake mushrooms and a lot of garlic.

Mash potatoes with bacon. Sinful but so good!

My day finally ended. So tiring.

I woke up at 930am forgetting that I'd arranged for lessons with my sec 4s before their paper tmr at 11am.

I promised my sister I would cook her lunch and I already bought the groceries. I stayed over at Ray's so I can't just leave the groceries laying around until the weekend. No one is going to cook until the weekend and they will turn bad.

So, I rushed all the food out by 1030am along with washing all the dishes. It was so hot. I perspire like I ran 2.4km

I forgot to take a picture of the ABC soup that I cooked. It was so yums. Had it both at lunch and dinner.

Anyway, I remembered something funny that happened yesterday so I'm going to record it here.

💁: Student A, 👨, why are you late for class?
👨: Cher, I'm tired mah. I was sleeping. 😴
💁: Why can't you set alarm and wake up in time to come?
👨: I was dreaming about you la! Cherrrrr...

This conversation was followed by 3 seconds of silence. Then, the class burst out laughing!

👦: omg! 👨 you win already! Win!
👲: Cher! He dreamt of you lehhh!

Haven't been feeling well since yesterday. Went to see the doctor then came home. Didn't even conduct the last lesson.

Not having fever but nauseous the whole time. My sister is also displaying the same symptom and we had the same lunch.

Damn.

Now my period is also here to cause more cramps as if I'm not suffering enough. Wts.

Oh, I've also decided to be on a makeup break this week. No makeup on the skin because I have a major breakout and it's so disgusting.

I seriously bth these breakouts especially the hormonal ones. Why...... I don't even have these problems when I was a teenager when it was actually legit to have 青春痘. I'm not longer 青春, why like that......

Ray is back from Jakarta and he bought me this! Yeah!

The Black Swan

Rare Friday night that I'm free because the class had already be conducted on Tuesday! Date night with ray :)

The sauce for the calamari was a little too salty. I'm poor so can only order the cheapest starter. 😂

My Handphone camera is not good with such dim lights but this duck confit is not bad. One of the better ones I've had with my cheap taste buds Haha.

This cheap taste bud 有故事的.

Ray brought me to Ocean restaurant for my birthday a few years back and it's a fine dining restaurant which I can't appreciate. I told him to just bring me to places that are more affordable.

I can't take expensive food in small servings, only cheap food in servings normal humans take.

Another one of the better sticky date pudding that I had. It's sweet but not gelat and the pudding is so spongy :)

Nooooooooo....

Finally got through! But one of my items became OOS. WHYYYYY!

Can't wait for my goodies to come tomorrow! Woohoo! It's been such a long time since I spent a little bit more on makeup.

My #taobao is here! Woo! 🎉 only took 1 week plus a little for everything to arrive. Yay!

My sister says this kind of sandals is very ugly. But I saw so many people wearing it so I thought since it's so cheap, I'll just buy and see how. Haha

This is probably the one that makes me most excited! Haha! Yes, pens! They are so cheap! Almost 80 cents cheaper than sg. So happy when I found them on Taobao. #lifeofateacher

Another one that got me beaming like an idiot when I found it. Stickers for my students. Woo!

One more 宝贝 that I found. I used to buy it from my MUA teacher because she says this is v gd for applying foundation which I do agree. She's a Taiwanese so she buys it from Taiwan whenever she returns to Taiwan. So, I could only buy from her and I think she charges me slightly higher. Not alot but now that I found it, I don't need to go to her anymore! Yay! #makeup

Anyway, what's so good about this is that it is very soft and it soaks up water quickly so your foundation will not be 'eaten' away by the sponge.

When you bounce it on your face while apply foundation and concealer, it gives a very flawless effect.

Of course, most of the time I still use brushes because it gives a lighter application and is more sheer. But this is good for D&D makeup, bridal and the 姐妹 when u want fuller coverage so that your photos will look nice. #dayremakeup

I thought I didn't have enough comb but this is my fourth one. 😂

At first I didn't dare to buy rings from Taobao especially this kind which u can't adjust the size. But I thought aiya, so cheap just buy, if cannot just give to my skinny sister.

But woo! It fits my fatty hands!

Ray was complaining how fat my fingers are because the people all looked shocked when they tell them my 💍 size. Ugh.

When I was young, my grandpa used to hold my hand and told me how I was going to have a good life in the future because 我的手有肉，有福气。You know? Hock qi hor! 😂

It looks like my meat are pouring out of the ring but it's actually very comfy. Not dropping or too tight. Just nice.

Some hair accessories. My sister was like 哪一间店？快点跟我讲！when she saw these because her items always don't get through like they will say they don't ship to sg. Idk what she did la but I've never experienced that with the forwarder before.

More for my hair. This is a bit loose though. Felt like it will slide down if your hair is too smooth. So I think I will still use a normal hair tie under it.

I just tie my hair into a ponytail every day these days because it's so hot but it's so boring too. Hence, I decided to pimp my hair with accessories.

One last hair tie. The blush colour looks quite nice irl but idk how long this rubber band can last.

I bought 3 👙 for the upcoming Bali trip though we might not be going to the beach everyday.

I wasn't sure what size to choose so I bought M and L to see which fits. Sad life for me because I am a 大屁股 but assets in front are nowhere near my huge ass. Very difficult to buy. Sibei sian when they sell in one set and cannot choose different sizing.

But since they're not expensive, I forgive u. I buy.

And I bought 3! The colours are all very much the same as the photos and quality are not bad. (just by touching only though) no chance to wear in sg. Don't think I dare also. Haha

哇！我差点死了！

Once again, sg has outdone herself. Wts. I just showered and the moment I stepped out of the house I started to sweat. I'm on the bus now and I'm still sweating. Wts. What's wrong with the air conditioning?

So freaking cold at night when you don't need. So freaking warm in the day when the sun is killing every organism on the ground.

Wah, I think people on dayre are crazy about Taobao and so helpful at the same time! Didn't expect to have comments on my dayre.

Omg! I almost missed the bus again within like 1 min because I was stuck at the other side of the road!

Just when I was crossing, the bus was inching and inching away then it came to a stop! Woo! Woo! Woo!

The bus driver saw a few people running so he stopped though the head of the bus was already almost 2metres away from the bus stop!

This is too chio already. Initially I only wanted to get a few of the zoeva brushes because they're in Lisa Eldridge's favourite brushes list but it came up to about 70 plus buying a few of them separately.

This whole set was only $127.50 so I thought why not just forgo a few of the brushes that are not in the set and get this one which is more wu hua. #dayremakeup

There's another compartment in the pouch. I think you can put some smaller stuff like eyeliner? Been wanting to get the set for ages but always talked myself out of it because I already have many brushes.

The only other brush that I bought separately. I needed (wanted) a liner brush badly so just went ahead. Got discount what!

I didn't really like the em cosmetics eyeliner so I got a new one. This was only $11.50. Compared to the k palette one that I usually buys ($19.90), this is cheap. Let's try it tmr and see how good it it. 😀

I bought this for the bf. I read the reviews on sephora, apparently it works well for back acne so I got it for him because he can't seem to get rid of them.

The pimples were for some time gone because he got so sun burnt that he shed like 3 layers of skin.

Yes, I was helping him peel off the dead skin from his back because they make him damn gao wei but he couldn't peel them off.

You know the satisfaction to peel off dead skin? You know la right. Hahaha! It's damn song. #dayrebeauty

One last makeup item that I bought. Wanted to try out the other products from MUFE HD range but didn't want to spend too much. Saw the 2g version, quickly added to my cart. Haha.

I didn't used to have acne but ever since uni, I started to have a lot of pimples especially when my period is coming.

This is damn annoying because they always come with friends. Like wts.

By the time they heal nicely, it will be almost time for the next cycle because itchy hands me cannot leave it alone and I like to squeeze it. So I think it infected other areas.

I read/watched a lot of reviews and they all said it is very effective. So I decided to buy it with my 30% discount! Please be effective!

Nars Beauty Breakfast

Went for NARS beauty breakfast this morning and had an express makeover by their MUA.

I asked to try their Laguna bronzer that I've been wanting to get for ages but didn't get to doing it.

@chasingwaterfalls and her friend, Pamela, went like, '哇！你是瘦了！' immediately after the MUA applied on the hollows of my cheeks.

The bronzer was $66 and the crazy expensive ita brush that he used was $80 plus. Initially, I thought of getting the brush with the $80 but we saw a set that's more worth it!

After the beauty breakfast and buying of stuff, I met up with ray to have lunch tgt.

Tbh, the breakfast was really not enough. But everyone was so yiu xiu when they ate so I also paiseh to eat more. Haha

I have to learn to be more auntie so I can get my money's worth. Hahaha

After eating, we walked all the way from far east to cine to watch movie. It was only not bad in my opinion. Not super nice.

But watching movie is kinda our thing for the weekend. Because he works so hard during weekdays, we hardly meet or even communicate. Movie is when both of us can sir down and immerse ourselves in the show that after if the show is interesting, we will discuss and chat. But today, he felt sick so we had to go home.

thanksmombymlw / brunch w family

Brought my mom and sis to #thanksmombymlw and this was our first time in a proper photoshoot together.

It was pretty quick. We reached at 11am, 15mins before our scheduled shoot at 1115am as told. Started at 1115am and ended at 1125am. Chop Chop!

Our dress code for the day. White top and blue jeans. Gosh, my sister looks so tiny beside the two of us. Ok, maybe I look giant beside her.

When I told her she's very Asian for doing ✌, she went like whatever, I'm Asian.

After that, I brought my family to Pacamara for brunch and this is my mom trying to take photo of her meal like all of us social media fanatics. 😂

The spaghetti were not as nice as the brunch food. Carbonate was too gao and got sick of it too fast. Ray's squid ink vongole was also so-so only.

I have duck fit hash and it came with poached eggs. My favourite. Haha.

Ray was so not satisfied with his and kept stealing from my plate.

Anyway there was this very old school gate outside one of the clinic that ray said anyhow give MC, my sis wanted to take #ootd there so we walked back to take photo.

顺便 ray and I also took a couple shot. Haha

This is her outfit and it was so hot. I swear like one big bucket just standing and taking photo.

Also, I helped my sis curl her hair and I love the curl/wave do much. Just used one of the tips I learnt from watching 女人我最大✌

Just done checking my Sec 2 student's work that she sent me last minute via what's app because she has exams tmr and also solving a P6 Math question.

My brain is quite fried by this time because I used so much of it in the day. So when I got the message, it made me feel like shit.

But still happy because she bothered to revise and asked me to check.

Was out with Ray's friends last Sunday and chatted till quite late. So, we told them how we are intending to hold a destination wedding. Damn不要脸because he hasn't proposed yet. But whatever la! It's almost 7 years being tgt, don't need so mysterious la.

Anyway, so one of his friends told us that his friend/colleague held her wedding at the super chio Alila villa and it came up to 100k. I was like so shock! My Bali wedding 泡汤了😧

I don't think I am willing to spend 100k on a wedding. And then, that friend also said, "destination wedding no Ang bao one".

One more time 😱😲😨😰😟

Serious? Then, another friend came late and said that got give. So we don't know what's the real prac. Give or not?

Another sian thing is that, I get a very strong feeling that ray wants to postpone the wedding to 2018. Though he kept saying no but the feel is strong. You know what I mean?

I can't blame him for that.

His brother is getting married next year and he's already 35 this year so I personally think he shouldn't wait anymore.

Seriously wait until lao kok kok then get married the photo so cui and u just look like one uncle lo.

His two other cousins are also intending to get married next year and they're all older than ray. I think all 30 plus liao so tbh shouldn't wait any longer too.

I think that's one of the reason why he thinks that I'm crazy to want to get married at 27.

But to be fair, all my cousins got married by 27 yo. The only ones who are not married yet are still studying. One doing medicine in Australia, one idk finish masters already not. They're brothers so same pattern i think. 😂

One of Ray's jc friend is getting married next month and 2 others already proposed and one of them said most likely next month. Another one probably proposing soon as well.

Then, he was like, "I don't think we shld do things because others are doing it."

He said that I wanted to get married to badly because my friends are getting married. Wts.

Tbh, only 2 of my close friends are getting married this year. Maybe 2 more next year.

But, whatever la, just so pu her (Hokkien for angry) whenever he says such things.

Then, sometimes I also very 多嘴 will rebut and say then don't marry lo. Really feel like slapping my mouth when I say such things but I'm too rash, no control.

Now it feels damn ugh whenever we talk about getting married (But I'm still happy that he's willing to talk about it la) because it feels like I'm forcing him to commit when he doesn't want to and unwilling to which makes it even more ughhhhhhh.

I'm supposed to go email the wedding planners in Bali and I don't even feel like doing it anymore because of this feeling.

I also forwarded all the email correspondences that I had with the hotels and wedding planners in Bali yesterday.

So many ah? Wah...

That was his reaction. Tsk. Then, I asked him to read, he only replied, 'later, too many alr' then proceeded to read his work email. Fml

It sucks to have a workaholic bf. I knew it back then when we were organising NUS Rag and Flag in 2011 that he's a crazy workaholic. But ever since he started working, it became worse.

And it sucks. But what can I do?

So that day while having drinks with my girls and their significant others, Ray accidentally told me that he started smoking because his work is so stressful that he needs to smoke to distress.

I am someone who hates people who smokes. I know smoking has no causal relationship with cancer yada yada but I just don't like it.

He said he will not become addicted to it and that he will try not to smoke anymore. Tbh, I don't think he will stop. He's a social smoker, that I know.

He seems to enjoy smoking because it's a 'social' thing.

Idk. Should I make a big fuss out of this? I mean I already made a medium size one that night.

But I really bth people with yellow and black teeth because of smoking. It's a serious no-no. It looks so gross and makes me want to puke.

He doesn't have great and healthy teeth to begin with, idk what smoking will do to his already yellow and weak teeth.

Omg, I think I talked (complained) too much about him. I just needed to release it somewhere.

On a happier note, my sister's friend helped me buy this Eglips compact powder from Korea! Woohoo! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Yay to ending work early today! Had a nice dinner with my sister. We over ordered so had to ta bao back. But that's good! Means I have food to eat later. #dayrefatties

Today's makeup lasted quite well. The undereye concealer from Skinfood seems to live up to the hype. Though it does settle into the fine lines under my eyes, it's not bad.

I haven't tried a concealer that doesn't settle into the fine lines under my eyes. Sian.. Itchy eyes because of the sinus so I have the habit of rubbing my eyes at night since young.

But I only did my makeup at 230pm today so it was only 4h when I took this photo.

I'm staring into the mirror now and it still looks quite ok. No dark eye rings 👌

I also started putting ampoule as suggested by my other mua friend. She asked me to put it on a daily basis, morning and night.

I just bought more ampoules. Haha.

I'm finishing all my ampoules which were supposedly for my makeup assignments but I'm too lazy to go do makeup these days so might as well use on my own face.

Only had time for a quick cup noodle for dinner today because it was such a busy day from 1pm all the way to 930pm.

Threw in a packet of udon and heat it up with the Tom yum soup that I ta bao yesterday.

Ray's dad drove me to the centre because it was raining. I was secretly hoping he could send me because it was really raining very heavily. I even got the umbrella ready to walk all the way to the bus stop.

I guess it's my day today because just so nice, he just came back from his brunch and met me at the🚪. Then, he offered to drive me! 🎊🎉🎊🎉

Last night we went for Korean bingsu at upper Thomson and it was good.

We ordered three different flavours to share. The first one was injeolmi and this is obviously Mango.

This is the coffee flavour. I didn't try this but the Mango was really fresh. The injeolmi was also very good. They're all not too sweet so it was easy to finish them up.

We were also saying how we should have had come in the afternoon when it was super hot.

We were wondering why don't the ice melt like how ice kachang does and as usual, Ray has to come up with the explanation.

He said it must be because of the specific heat capacity of the bowl then subsequently corrected himself and said it was because of the heat capacity.

Oh well, the last time I touched physics was a decade ago so I didn't really get what he was saying. 😂

Everyone just kept quiet and let him talk about it. I think no one has a clue why doesn't the ice melt.

My reason: The bowl is cold! Haha

I didn't manage to wake up in the morning to do my workout today because I got woken up by Ray at like 5plus 6am and by the time I fell asleep again, it was already 730am.

I blame the phone.

So, I'm going to try and workout later after I get home from work. Ray recommended an app called freelectics which is actually a HIIT workout app. Let's see if it's good. The other app that I tried yesterday wasn't that great so I'm gg to delete it.

Yeah! Completed my workout with proper warm up and cool down. When I don't warm up and cool down properly I'll get muscle ache for almost 2 days.

I haven't done sit up in a long long time, maybe since the last napfa test. Wtf.

I had a hard time completing 30 sit ups. Wts. Used to be able to chiong 50 to get the A in napfa test. Now, 30 only and I'm KOed.

stomach ache / foundation first impression

His work situation. Sometimes, I also feel sian for him. 7am flight, work until not still now done. 😩

I'm just done with marinating my chicken breast for tomorrow's lunch. Going to 😴 soon but feel bad for sleeping when he can't. 😪 I think I'll still sleep. Haha! Whenever I want to stay up late nowadays, I will always be reminded by @chasingwaterfalls 's advice/warning: 你不怕老吗? ⚠ this is seriously ringing in my head now.

I really love the soup from this bowl of awesomeness. Wouldn't get sick of it :)

My sister was telling me how I should review on the makeup products that I have so that they don't go to waste.

I mean I probably already earned back the money I spent on them with all the makeup assignments I did in the past.

Anyway, my sister just came back from Korea and she was raving about a foundation that she bought there.

So, I decided to try and do a first impression.

First impression in the morning:

1) coverage is quite good. It managed to cover my blemishes and redness.

2) it sets really quickly so you have to blend quickly. I used a cushion sponge to apply it in a patting motion so it will give more coverage.

3) it's a liquid to powder formulation so you don't need to powder it.

4) quite a nice sheen so there's no need for highlight, I guess this is the same for most Korean foundation.

At 3.40pm

1) no foundation can handle my oily skin. 😧

At 6.40pm

1) the sides of my nose, chin and forehead had been rubbed off (I just blotted the oil away with tissue paper and I like to rest my Chin on my hand while marking)

Oh ya, 顺便 review on the eyeliner. I tried to find different ways to make it work and I guess I found it!

Previously, I was too lazy so I didn't put primer before applying the liner and it always smudged. Always.

Today, I used my Nars eyeshadow primer and it stayed on quite well with a tiny little black mark at the outer corner of my eye.

But overall still not bad la. I was intending to throw it away if it's going to keep smudging and buy the k palette one that I like. Now, I can keep it!

It's so hot these days so I either tie my hair up into a pony tail or just do a fan bun. But as the day go, the fan bun and pony tail will droop and become super auntie.

So, today, I had a little extra time because sis had to bring the dog down for a walk before we leave for work. I threw in a hair donut and braided my hair. Inspired by missysue :)

Yes, I'm still very much into binging on YouTube makeup and hair tutorial on a daily basis.

Anyway, this is the foundation that I did my first impression on. Idk. I might need to use another method to test if it's really good. Maybe tomorrow I'll do half face mufe ultra HD and half face this foundation.

This is the eyeliner that kept smudging when I don't use primer. Smudges like crazy, I'm not even kidding you.

But today it stayed on quite well.

Face very oily on both sides at this point, more foundation was gone on the right side of my nose which means MUFE lost 😱

Face condition as at 1030pm. 10 hours since I put on the makeup without any touch up.

Omg. I can't even look at this collage. So many of my imperfections screaming out loud!

Left side:
1) blusher still almost the same as I first put it
2) oily
3) foundation on the side of my nose partly gone
4) patchy forehead

Right side
1) blusher significantly lighter
2) oily, as usual
3) foundation on the side of my nose all gone
4) one part of my forehead has no foundation

VDL won!

It's not bad given how long I wore it for and braved the hot sun/perspiration with me.

The blusher really made a huge difference to the comparison. It's still very visible except that my cheeks are oily. Oh well, I can't help with that.

As for the concealer, first impression is not bad. I asked the lady at the stall and she told me there's no need to layer a skin colour concealer on top so I didnt. It stayed on and still looks decent.

That's besides the point. As u can see, my dark eye circle is quite bad due to the fact that I sleep between 1 to 3am every night.

I have sinus so it makes my eyes puffy as well. Urrgh.

The concealer is quite good for now. First impression is probably 7.5/10.

Wefie with my sister during lunch. It's rare that she will take picture with me because either her makeup not good enough or her hair is too messy for photo. Today, she initiated to take photo so must post. 😂

Her friend was also so nice today! She made japchae and brought it for us! Omg. Didn't know being the sister of a friend has this perk! 😚

It's not bad given that she's not Korean. Haha. She's moving to Korea to stay with her husband this July so maybe must start learning how to make Korean dishes.

But the serving was too huge, I couldn't finish.

I want to join back the other tuition. The teacher so good, got sweet one leh!

This is what a P2 student exclaimed today.

I was just reading a comprehension passage about parenting the other day and it reflected what I see on a daily basis.

It touched on how parents these days think that they are too busy to discipline their children and chose to leave it to the teachers to teach them morals, integrity and etc. It also talked about how kids are manipulating their parents to get the things that they want.

I thought it was very true. These days most of the children are somewhat 'self-entitled'. We give them sweets as rewards but over time they take it for granted.

If they misbehave and we don't give the sweets to them, they will say that we are bad teachers because we refuse to give them sweets.

What?!

On rare days, I try to dress up better and put on a pair of heels to go to work. Just got the new dress that I bought from LilyPirates and they are so nice. So, I decided to pair it with my trusty black heels from pretty fit.

Ray won't be back tonight because he only flew on Wednesday so I only get to see him tomorrow. Idk if it's better for him to be very busy with work from Mon - Fri or fly from Mon - Thurs.

I saw on fb on Wednesday that one of my school mates from pri-jc just broke up with his gf of 8 years. The reason was because she makes a fuss whenever he gets too busy with work and couldn't talk to her or entertain her.

This really got me thinking because this is the exact same problems that I have. When you're together with someone for long enough and grow up together, you will definitely go through the different phases of life. But what if one party is unable to transit as smoothly?

A gift from my student who's in sec 3 this year. She has been with me since pri 6.

I've seen her from from a small girl to a young lady. Feels kind of old at times when you see your students grow up.

Since I started tutoring when I was in JC, I already have tutees who graduated from university last year. It's like WOW!

They're growing up, I'm growing old.

Nightmare / Magic tricks

Had a really terrible sleep last night. It was do warm in the blankets that I was woken up by the heat. It's too cold outside of the blanket. I blame Raymond.

His core temperature is so freaking high and night so he likes his air con extremely cold with fan blowing at high speed.

We shared the blanket and he's emitting heat like a 🔥!

What's worse? I like to sleep on one side so my hand got so numb that I could feel anything. I had to wake up to massage it so blood will flow through.

There was literally no sensation in the hand. Twice last night. Twice.

Then, I had a nightmare. Ok, or is it 被鬼压? You know those moments when you try to make a sound but you can't, you try to move but you can't? It was that kind of feeling.

I know it can be explained by science but idk. Is it science or 👻?

It was the end of class so I allowed one of my student to perform his 'magic tricks' in class and this was what happened. The other student was supposed to hold the folded poker card using his lips but being a clean freak, he refused. So, the 'magician' tried to beg him to do it to no avail.

Then, I became his next target.

The other students were paying close attention to what he did and saw through his tricks. This is him trying to laugh it off. 😂

Omg. I was just looking at wedding videos while researching on Bali destination wedding and I found her.

I think she's a Taiwanese(from her Chinese accent). She is damn chio please!

When I watched 康熙来了, it seems like they are very into minor plastic surgery. Is that the reason?

Most of the time the girls that he thinks is pretty, I don't think so.

I pulled the blanket away and took a picture because I wanted to dayre about his stubborn and uncooperative moments. To think about it, if I were to dayre all the times he's uncooperative, I only need to dayre whole day and don't need to do other things already.

Just completed my hiit workout at Yishun Stadium. We got stopped because there is a soccer game going on now. First time trying hiit tabata at the tracks. With the heat, it we can really kill Mann...

This is how much I'm sweating after only 12 mins of tabata interval running and 3 sets of statics interval as well.

I can feel the sweat drop and look at that droplet on my eye.

Ray is doing his hiit training using an app. A seemingly harmless jumping Jack is actually quite a killer.

Changi Airport Terminal 2

Sending ray off to bkk hopefully for the last time he flies in the next six months. Can't wait to have him back in sg.

And so it seems he can't even have lunch in peace and he's leaving for Jakarta on Wed to Fri. 😭

Luckily, it's not permanent.

I can't believe I walked back and forth like thrice at the Arrival Hall and couldn't find the escalator to get to the bus stop to take 858.

Had lunch with my sis at the French Table and mine was surprisingly good. I had quite bad experiences when I tried in the past so this was refreshing. Or is it because I set a really low expectation. Haha. Yay to lunch buddies!

My landlord just came and I was teaching him how to take photo with his phone so that it doesn't look blur.

He is a 70 plus man who is very nice and very helpful in many things. I'm somewhat quite lucky to have found this unit but Raymond keeps me grounded by reminding me that anytime my rent will go up so I should constantly look for new place.....

After the Gin on Sunday, Ray and I had a good talk.

It got really emotional. I haven't cried so badly in a very long time. So maybe I don't think I'd ever cried this way.

Some passing comments actually became the most hurtful words.

Idk if it was the alcohol or just all the bottled up emotions but I cried for so long and plus my stupid sinus which affects the eyes, my eye balls felt like they were going to fall out the next day.

It was a really good chat. We got to know what each other was feeling and I felt it got us closer.

Especially now when things are so uncertain, he wants to go overseas to study but haven't secured a place yet, I want to settle down but can't because of other plans and certain circumstances just don't allow things to fall into place.

He said I planned too early on without considering the situation. I agree and this made things worst. A difference in mindset, readiness and willingness.

I can see that he is trying to compromise.

But I think sometimes I can get a bit too greedy and ask for more.

I thought I've 看开了 for many things, even my friend said that I've lowered my expectations so much. Haha. I mean having friends who grow up with you, they'd know how you change, right?

I just hope I don't end up like my mom in the end. Idw to rush things (him) now and be in a situation that I hate since young.

Tbh, I thought I was going to be abandoned like what my dad did and it was probably when the real crying started.

He left so gradually I didn't even get a chance to cry back then.

Having my mask now because my skin condition is at an all time low. I hate it when they all come together. Why do you have to do this to me?

I saw a fb post just this morning that this is one of the signs that I'm not drinking enough.

The others are being constipated, dry lips, dry skin and etc.

I always thought I had oily skin until one of the beauticians told me I had dry skin that's why I'm popping pimples.

What?!

Apparently, I'm not hydrated enough that's why my skin is secreting more oil than it should and hence I'm having all these pimples because of the over secretion. But I already tried to drink a lot of water..... Like really. My sister is constantly complaining that I don't boil enough water when I'm drinking all of them and she has none when she wants to drink.

And yeah! Ray's leave has been approved for June so this weekend we will book the hotel/villa and flight to Bali in June!

Can't wait to get there soon. I really need a break and we can finally get something done there. Excitinnggggg!

Current roomie situation.

He just came back from BKK and is flying off to Jakarta tomorrow for another case.

We hardly talk/text during weekdays because either he's too busy with work or I'm too tired to Skype at night.

When he was in US and China for NOC and Internship back in 2012 and 2013, we Skype almost every day. We would just leave it on and do our own things. But that was separation for longer period of time.

I used to get angry if he couldn't find time to Skype with me. These days, we can go on for days without contacting each other. Maybe just goodnight message at night, that's it.

He gets to come back on Thursdays and has to fly out on Mondays. It was quite a torture at first but I got used to it.

I don't even pester him to text me or Skype me anymore. Idk if that's gd or bad but at least we're not quareling over it anymore. So, that's gd! 😂

I ran at the gym today! Hooray! I was too lazy to go all the way to Amk for the past two days so I only did fitness blender at home.

I actually ran 5km interval today. I can't even remember the last time I ran for more than 3km. 😂

I spin but that's not the same as running. I used to exercise so much when I was younger but got too complacent and thought I can remain the same size without continuing to exercise. But growing up means metabolism becoming slow. Fats started to accumulate and now it's so hard to lose weight.

Sometimes, I really envy my sister who can stay at like 40kg without exercise and with incessant eating the whole day. I don't even know where all the food is going. She's eating like every other hour.

The day that I choose to start my gym is the day my 大姨妈 visits. Just paralysed in bed waiting for the cramp to go away now.

When will this cramp ever go away?

I guess I'll just eat healthily to compensate for not exercising.

Going to have my chicken breast and broccoli for lunch later.

Dog duties because the sister is in Korea and helper is back in Philippines. It just pee the whole kitchen at home. 😭

Taking a million years just to find the right spot. Is it worth it? Just pee already.....

I gave my dog his dog food, the canned kind, then I went off to shower. When I came out, I couldn't find the empty can.

There he was sitting there with his usually guilty look, I was so afraid he would be hungry enough to eat that can. 😂

I looked around and couldn't find it. Imagine me walking around the house with my towel in my head searching frantically for a stupid can and talking to my dog, asking him where he hid the can.

When I almost gave up and texted my sister if spot would eat the can, I found it under my mom's shoe rack.

Turns out I'm the stupid one. 😂😂😂😂😂

Btw, he actually willingly went out with me today when I took out his leash.

He is so picky usually, like only my mom and my sis can bring him out. I admit, I don't dote on him as much because I'm not home as often as they are.

So I was quite surprised when he ran over to me today.

I don't call myself his owner cos I don't do much for him. Once in awhile I will sayang him when he comes and nudge me but that's probably it.

He peed on my bed once and I had to throw away my fav bolster.

We have a love-hate relationship.

He also wasn't allowed in my room for the longest time ever since he peed on my bed.

I think he knows the rule as well. No matter how much my mom and sis tried to ask him to enter my room, he wouldn't.

Maybe because I have this aura around me.😂

But, after ray started his case in Bangkok and I started to spend a lot more time at home again, I allowed him into my room.

When it first started, he still didn't dare even when I was the one who's calling him. I think he suspected that it was some kind of trick or smth. Haha

But eventually he came in when he was sure nothing was going to happen to him. Haha

Just finished watching #DOTS and this scene really made me cry so badly.

I really love this show so much but it's going to end soon.

I was just asking/discussing with ray why can't Singapore media create such shows instead of those typical ones. His immediate reaction was Ah Boys To Men la!

Sorry, but I think they are of very very different standard. Ok, I hope the ABTM fans don't kill me but I don't really like ABTM.

Tbh, I only watched half of ABTM part 1 I think during CNY when I had nth to do and the TV was showing that. I wanted to switch channels but it's not my house. Oh well...

My lunch! Steam broccoli, shiitake mushrooms, shrimps and fish balls.

This is another dish for my lunch because I didn't eat rice so just eat more proteins. 帝皇鸡 but I used chicken breast instead of the whole chicken so it doesn't taste as nice because it is less oily. Since, it's supposed to be a healthy lunch so I'll make do with this. But this is definitely better than just plain steam chicken breast that I used to eat when I was on a diet. Very 补 in fact...

I added in some mushrooms as well. Have to finish all the food before they turn bad.

I'm actually on my way home when the sun has not set. Yay!

Reacheduled the class to Monday morning because they have e learning! I guess everything turned out nicely so I can rest and not suffer from cramp while having class.

I was just asking my students what did they learn in school today and one of them replied, 'nothing!'

How can you learn nothing?!?!

Apparently, the teacher was too boring for him so he rather do other subjects' homework and just learn when he comes for tuition.

What's wrong with students these days?

I told him off immediately, making it clear that tuition serves as a supplement only and not replacement. He still has to listen in class in order to do well.

How can he expect to miraculously do well in exams with mere 2h a week at tuition?

Students these days.....

Always asking me for short cuts or shorter answers because they don't want to write more.

We were debating about strong vs high and I tell them they mean different things and they kept insisting it's the same. Vomit blood.....

On a happier note, my sister helped me make this in Korea! This is the same stall that Song Ji hyo and Chen Bolin did their Bobo and Momo stamp in 我们相爱吧 episode 2.

I only told her to help me if she has the time to go there. And she did it! Best sister ever!!!

I wonder when will another show like DOTS be released. I love such drama! Funny, romantic and action pact all at the same time.

Ray said he only likes the funny and romantic part. He said why can't this show just continue with the jokes and don't end.

And he was right.

I only went down for like 15 mins to walk the dog and I'm perspiring like I just ran 15mins.so freaking hot!

When I finally thought I had banned myself to buy clothes for long enough and decided to buy this from #theclosetlover, a defect was found.

Why am I so suay? I thought of giving it to myself as my birthday present.

To give the girls credit, they were really fast in replying me and refunded it in terms of store credit and gave me extra $1.50 store credit.

Not that I very gian the 1.50, I'd rather have the dress, but it was a nice gesture.

At first I thought if it was just a small defect then I can go alter it or smth but it was a tear in the fabric. 😭

I hope there will be a backorder soon!

I think I probably use this sticker more than anything else. Waiting for bus 88 to get to this Western food stall at amk and perspiring like I just ran 2.4km. Still got 10mins till the bus arrive. Why so long?

I can't believe people are still willing to be under the sun just so they get a seat. So freaking hot!

Everyone is late. So now I'm in a random shop enjoying air con

Met up w my sec sch girlfriends at this famous salted egg yolk/chilli crab fish and chip place. We reached at around 4.20pm, queued until freaking 545pm then we got to order. Finally, the food came at 7pm.

It was so freaking hot at first and the queue was crazy.

All the people standing were queueing for that stall. It didn't get any shorter even when it started to pour.

I guess 天公 heard us and gave us rain. The thunder was so loud it made us jump a little.

Anyway, the point is.. I will never go back again.

The first mouth was like, eh, not bad ah, smth different.

Then, after a few more mouths, it got really gelat. I mean they're all fried, what do you expect right?

We found a total of 2 strands of hair. Yes! 2!

They gave us new set for the first one that we found. The hair was in the batter. Like what? Means it was frying in the oil! Eeeewwwwk!

Just completed a fitness blender workout while ray is sleeping and I showered too. He's still sleeping. What.....

I was watching a YouTube video reviewing some Korean makeup products and I was really sold. I haven't found a concealer that I really like. Maybe because I haven't tried any Asian brands.

Those Ang Mo brands probably don't really suit our skin tone and weather. But Korea is also very cold.

In this crazy Singapore weather, all the makeup melt like ice cream the moment i step out of the house. I have spray makeup setting spray like really gao gao before going out.

Plus I perspire so easily, my sweat always wash my makeup away 😭 boo.....

Should I go buy that concealer that they said was good?

But I already have so many makeup! Damn.... Decisions decisions...

Late dinner with ray. Should've bought one packet of rice instead of two. Didn't realise we bought all spicy stuff and they were a little too spicy for me.

We watched The Jungle Book tonight and it was so good. The timid girl in me jumped like multiple times because of that stupid Tiger.

But, overall, I liked the show. It was really good.

The experience could've been better if others didn't bring babies.

Exploding box for bf

Just reached Ray's house. He got back from a leisure yacht trip in phuket with his colleagues.

Waiting for him to shower then go to sleep cos tmr I have 830am tuition class 😭

Going to give him the present I made. Let's see how he reacts.

Not his first reaction but his first curated reaction.

His first reactions were:

Hey! What's that?

Then moves on to remove the ribbon thinking that it is a box with goodies.

Look at how sun burntttt he is...

I hopped on to the crafting your own exploding box ride. Haha.

It's been so long since I made something for him. Being together for almost 7 years really made many things very routine and not romantic anymore.

I used to be more 'hardworking' but eventually just got so used to being together, these things just didn't seem to matter anymore.

Finally got up and ready to go for my class. I didn't sleep at my usual 3 or 4 am because I was reminded by my girlfriends that the aging process has kicked it. Damn.

So anyway this is part of the #explodingbox I made. Look at that hair. 😂 our first Halloween shopping together. This was back in 2009 when we were going for some uni cca event and thought of buying the costumes. What were we thinking???

FML! I was trying to send my sister the photos of the box and I ended up sending to my students' group chat! 😭

I only managed to stop sending the video but picture got sent out already.

Below that photo, there is another section. There are basically three flaps and this is the second layer.

I made like a cover for it. When you open it, you will see a small booklet attached.

Initially, I wanted to make it chronological so for each side it'd be 2 years of our lives together.

The first section kind of followed what I planned out.

So this was us in 2009-2011.

NUSSU Camp as facilitators, Hong Kong trip and just random photos that I took of him.

The last layer for this side has a little pocket that contains 4 photos and a waterfall photo thing that's supposed to flip when you pull it.

This is my first attempt so still not so good but can la. 心意 you know?

From this section onwards, it got a little messed up with the order already but whatever, not bad 就好. Haha

Not that ocd about such stuff.

So, every section has a waterfall photo thing and the first photo of this was taken when we went to Mongolia and subsequently they are just USA trip and etc

Another small booklet of photos. I tried to write short messages behind each photo if I can't remember what we did. If I don't, I just write sweet messages or random things. Haha

I also made 2 flip cards inside the box.

This was quite hard to make because I left my pen knife in the centre!!!

I think I destroyed some of the scrapbook papers because I accidentally tore the sides while trying to cut with a scissors.

Both of these photos were from the correct year, 2011 - 2012. One was during one of Ray's NOC dinner in USA and the other one at his Popo's birthday.

Tough to take video and pull the card all at the same time but looks decent can liao la.

On the flip side, I created a small card which I wrote a slightly longer message in. This was so much more easier to make.

This is a bonus on this side because I have quite a number of USA trip photos that I printed. This is probably the one that worked best. 😂

The third section is for 2013 - 2014 but I used the Bali photos that we took while eating at jimbaran on 2 separate trips as a card. I copied a poem inside because I ran out of things to write but to be fair, the poem does reflect what I want to say. 😌

I also included ugly but funny photos of us during Halloween once me as power puff girl and him as dracula and the second time as 八仙.

After awhile these waterfall cards just look the same already but it's effort. I must emphasise.

So, anyway, this is for 2015 - 2016. Obviously, there's nothing much in 2016 yet so mostly 2015.

I think I didn't print all the photos in the correct size that's why the waterfall card doesn't work as well.

I set it to 5cm by 5cm, maybe I have to make it smaller so that the pulling flap can work better. Also, maybe next time I'll use thicker paper, some of the papers I used are too soft.

This was one of the funniest photo I found of ray. I seriously can't remember why he did that but I do remember where. Haha. It was at a Tze cha shop opposite sembawang shopping centre.

He was so hilarious yet cute. I can't imagine what was going through his head when he let me take this photo. Haha!

I really like the photos we took at White Rabbit but the stupid photo paper don't know why so many scratches. Ok, maybe it's because the printer only cost me $59. (gian beng you know) 😂

Last waterfall to wrap up our last trip in 2015 to New Zealand.

Maybe I should do another post for the hash tag #MyFavouriteTravel. NZ was another epic road trip that we went on last year but it cost us a bomb.

Last last last part which by the time I was done with the rest, all my creative juices were used up already. I mean Im not even a creative person to begin with so.... Yea... I did my best.

Basically just threw two leftover photos into the centre and cover it up with scrapbook paper that I made it to look like a door, or not.

What? I'm 26! Shit...

Having my breakfast because ray woke up late. He's only going to buy the clams and onions for the lunch he's preparing for me now.

Thankful that he's cooking a meal for me but can't help but feel hangry.

Lunch was home cooked Vongole in white wine sauce and mushroom soup! Awesome!

Just started to play with boomerang. I'm officially 26!

Birthday makeup! Last few years I always took almost an hour just to be done with makeup. This year, I finished in less than 30 mins.

I put back the weight I lost when Raymond was gone in just 2 days spent with him eating and eating.

Then I looked at the calendar and there are so many events coming up that photos will be taken.

I am not the 主角 but I also don't want to look like 猪脚. 😭

I need to start exercising and watch what I eat again. But when I love food so much, it's so hard!

Ok, I think I should really not waste my gym membership and start going on every weekday. (weekend rest la hor) Even if it's just going to run, I must also do it! I must sleep earlier too. Otherwise, I will be too tired to do any exercise in the morning.

Finally on my way home now. Just went grocery shopping because my helper is back in Philippines for 1 month.

Anyway, I happen to see this father pushing his son's head real hard when he couldn't do his work while on my way to ntuc.

I didn't want to be a busybody so I just walked away.

But shouldn't you do this behind closed doors?

The poor boy was squatting in front of a public bench by the side of the parade square and the evil dad was sitting on the bench.

I mean my evil dad used to threaten to cane me in public when I was a small girl but he didn't actually do it.

I don't know how stupid or how many times the dad had to teach the boy but that was definitely not the way.

Bed situation now. Yes, I am a loyal viewer of bubzvlogz! I would watch it after work at night in the comfort of my own bed. Idk why but I sort of enjoy looking at other people's life. 😂😂😂

Face situation while watching the vlog.

This black mask is really good. I saw the celebrities from TW recommend it on the famous 康熙来了 show when her bag got raided. Found it in sasa and have been using it ever since.

But I'm not one who uses the mask everyday, especially sheet masks. Lazy....

Sister's friend just got us to help her with some questions for work. We just have to answer two simple questions.

1. What is your understanding of mental well being.

When my sis first told me the question, I was like, WAIT! Let me Google first. Haha

But I eventually gave a one sentence answer:

Being mentally and emotionally stable.

2. What stresses you the most daily?

My immediate answer was... Drum rolls...

FINANCIAL PROBLEMS!

yea, so sad that I'm still not done paying for my uni tuition fee loan. I mean I can pay it back one shot but I'll be broke.

And also, I have my business financial to worry about. Whether I'm making enough money, whether I can pay my employees, whether I can make a profit, how can I increase the revenue etc etc

I lost a student today. I felt so sorry for him and myself.

Their family's financial situation is not that great so the mom told me they couldn't continue with the classes anymore.

I doubt it at first but just let it pass.

I just casually asked my student if the situation at home is really bad and how he managed to go for tuition for 1 whole year last year at another centre.

He told me that because it was PSLE Year so the family thought it was important for him to continue with tuition although they couldn't really afford it without scrimping.

He actually said that they have to eat and shop less so that he can go for that tuition.

When I heard that, I was shocked. Eat less?! Really?

Then I felt really bad for him because I couldn't help him financially.

Another student just mindlessly commented that I should not charge him money at all.

Well, kids don't really think of the consequences. Of course I can offer free classes for him but how would the other students or parents feel?

Furthermore, I always believe that everyone should be given their rightful payment should they provide a service.

For example, when I was still in the bridal makeup business, more often than not, the relatives will come over and ask if I can help them curl their hair, apply their fake eyelashes, touch up their makeup and what not for free.

I don't think I should do it for free. It is a service that I'm rendering, be it small or big, I should be the one to determine how much I should be rewarded for it.

Though sometimes I may feel like I'm ok to do then I'll do it for free, it was still my call.

Talking about bridal makeup, I really do miss it very much! This was just me practising though I didn't need to anymore last December.

Ever since I started my centre, I cut down/totally stop bridal makeup. It was more of a hobby and when I can freelance I try to.

I'm also going to help both of my sec sch gf makeup for their moms and sister. Will also be touching up and change their hair for them for their second March in.

This little thing has been outside R place for weeks. We will see the bird occasionally.

The boy is away for the week, enjoying himself with his colleagues, island hopping in a yacht around Phuket.

I'm usually more sticky like I will feel the need to text him when he's out having fun with his friends. But I've grown to become less gluey.

Since he told me earlier, I had the opportunity to arrange to meet up with my own friends. I hate it when he informs me last minute then I'll be left with nth to do.

Did my nails on Tuesday and left it to the nail artist to create. I usually don't do nail art because u need to pay extra. But I felt like pampering myself this week since my birthday is coming. So yeah to beautiful nails. 😊

Just ended my day catching up with my friend from NUS. He's probably the only one I kept in contact from Science after I transferred to FASS.

It was so fun just chatting and learning about each other's life. Grateful so have such friends whom you can talk to so comfortably even when you don't talk to each other often.

Just wanted to document things that R and I had done before we start to forget about certain things.

I was asking him about how our brain stores memory since he was a psy major and found out so many things.

Apparently, the reason why we can't remember things that had happened when we were little is because we can't speak properly yet. So we can't remember it in words and we can't attach a meaning to it.

Now it all makes sense!

However, if there are certain events which are more significant, you will remember it as well.

For example, I do remember snippets of memory when I was maybe 4 years old. I was at my father's mistress place and I think I said some Hokkien vulgarity and got slapped for saying it.

Come on, I was 4, how would I know I'm saying a bad word right? So the person who slapped me must slap himself for teaching me the wrong things!

I digress

The whole point of me typing this out was because I really enjoyed last weekend with R. It was so fulfilling because we did so many things.

1. Good Friday Holiday

We went out to have lunch at Yishun 925 Chicken rice with his family and went out for shopping after that.

We went to Changi city point mall and realised that they have so many outlet stalls!

Ray stayed in world of sports for almost 45 mins just to buy 2 pair of shorts. Boys.....

We bought couple running shoes on Friday too!

Oops. I forgot we actually went to the Tanjong Pagar Railway station before heading to shop. It was so hot and crowded, it's crazy! Nothing much there....

Look at the number people...... So freaking hot. But we did see some really interesting things like people selling drinks in a light bulb container. I wasn't that hipster to buy such things. Then we also saw some rather talented artist drawing/converting people's photos to the manga kind. So cool!

We took multiple wefies that day and I'm going to post them all!

Then, we went shopping at Changi city point and expo for gain city electronic sale where I got an ink jet printer that I was intending to print some photos for my crafts.

Then it's dinner with r family because his parents are going to China for holiday for the next week.

2. Saturday!

I had a full day of classes from 830am to 3pm. Then, we went to have our late lunch at casuarina prata and headed to tree top walk after.

It was quite a good work out though it was just walking. I guess my spinning class did work because I could climb without panting.

We also got up to the jelutung towers which made me quite dizzy when coming down. The stairs spiral too much....

This is the view from the top. We were actually late but the park ranger was so nice, he let us through! Thanks one million times!

Then, lazy bums us went home to relax. My legs were aching so badly I was sure I will get muscle ache the next day which I didn't. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

He wanted to go out for dinner but because of how painful and tired I felt, I kept begging him to order delivery.

And because we had late lunch so I wasn't hungry. Ray went to sleep after and I went outside to enjoy the massage chair and watched 我是歌手.

We eventually decided to have Nakhon Kitchen for dinner which was good. But the Tom yum soup was too spicy!

I mean I decided to eat there. Ray just followed. 😄

3. Sunday

A rare day that we wake up early enough to actually have lunch at the proper timing.

This is day 1 of us wearing our new Nike running shoes out. It was so comfy. We practically spent our whole day in this.

We had our lunch at Wildfire burger at Evans Rd. I wanted to have the rosti but they didn't have it that day. 😧 so I went with eggs royale. You can't go wrong with that. I'm not a burger person so I didn't order a burger at a burger place. 😐

Our date continued at National Museum of Singapore. Initially, I wanted to go to Botanic gardens since we were in the area but the heat in Singapore has been so bad. It was 36 degree celsius on sunday. So we opted for an air conditioned place instead.

They're all almost the same just open mouth close mouth difference. 😂😂😂

Nothing much happened while we were in the museum. We followed a guided talk and learnt some things that we didn't know.

Like how Sir Stamford Raffles actually died a bankrupt because he was not law by law enough so the Great Britain actually charged many things to him after he died. They couldn't do so while he was alive because they would lose face. Wth.

But his wife thought it was so unfair for him so she wrote about what he had done and dug out all the documents he had drafted and stuff.

And so he was eventually recognised for what he had accomplished for Singapore. So yay! Wtf

Then, it was just about how we developed, how we survived through WWII which I already know as a Singaporean.

Oh, one interesting thing is we were taught in school that if the British had stayed on we would have won the war.... Turns out we were massively outgunned by the Japanese so ray said we wouldn't have won. Oh well, history textbook is a textbook for a reason.

We saw some Japanese tourists in the museum. I wonder how they feel when they saw the things their ancestors had done to us. Weird...

I actually did feel quite sad while watching the video of MM Lee talking about the separation of Malaysia. But when I see how and where we are today.. I was secretly happy. In fact, I told ray immediately how it turned out so much better for us that we got separated. And how Lee Kuan Yew must have thought that it was great that we got kicked out. Haha. Thank god ah!

Continuing our date.. We went to Fort Canning (in the car only) for awhile because ray couldn't find the place he wanted to go. And he eventually got really pissed off at me because I can't decide what I want for dinner. One thing to note is that it was only 5pm. I wasn't even hungry so I didn't know what I wanted to eat. Tsk. He has some anger management issues and truly needs to seek help or control it better. Little bit only get angry.

We went to Labrador nature reserve!

That place is quite nice if not for the heat. We saw groups of people playing captains ball, picnic, bbq, fishing and what not. It looked like a really family place. But it was just too hot. Ok, idk how many times I'm going to say how hot sg is but it is.

Kaypo us, ok me, decided to pop by Tamarind Hill where one of my BFF is gg to hold her wedding at this July. Idk how but ray got the person to bring us around and talked to us about how many people they can hold blah blah. I was busy looking at other stuff.

So anyway, the place is quite small and separated by walls. The lady said that there are outdoor area available so they can accommodate up to 200+ people. But that day was so humid... I perspired like the moment I stepped out of the place.

Eventually we decided to eat at super loco and it was a marvellous decision. I love the food there!

The fish taco was really good. And I'm so going to go back there soon. Really. Glutton me! I'm feeling hungry now as I'm typing. Gosh! #dayrefatties

Seriously fat die me. We went to Ps cafe to have dessert. Ray said that the sticky date pudding was the best that he had because there was a date inside the pudding! Haha! He tried to explain using some analogy but I forgot. So I'm going to come up with my own... It's like eating real Mango fruit in Mango pudding!

Like it was going to make any difference. Lol

And that was our last meal tgt before he flew to bkk again.

We then went to daiso to buy some stuff and ended our night watching descendants of the sun episode 1 and 2. I made him watch with me because he said that as long as there's eng subtitles he'll watch it. Hehe

One new corner in the centre that I adore. We often get remarks from parents and students that our centre is very cosy. That's what we are working towards, giving our students a very warm, cosy and conducive environment to learn.

When I went to bkk, I bought the really cute lights decor to give our room more warmth. And it really did. I have one each in the two rooms and the green one that is in the new corner above.

I also bought the shelves from IKEA.

I guess all new businesses will start by going to IKEA because it's really cheaper and much easier to shop at.

I love the feeling IKEA gives. Always dreaming about how my own home will look like when I am there.

This is how our reception area looks like now. It used to be less cluttered when we just started. But as the business grows, the number of things just grew with it. Not that I want to complain but it looks much better in the past.

Our centre is also filled with faux flowers at as many places as I can place them. It makes the place more homely I think. We also placed a new table beside the new wooden shelf for our part time teachers to use.

Weaker students especially those who don't like to read or can't read story books are being called back on every Friday and Saturday to read. 😂 sounds quite sad, extra tuition. But all they do is read with the teacher. This would hopefully help them to start a good reading habit.

Yankee Candle is also another essential element in the centre so that we smell nice. You know how shipping centres all have a very distinct smell? It's to allow consumers to remember the smell when they shop at the place. ION Orchard has a very distinct smell. Next time, take a deep breath when you're there.

On my way to work now, it is so hot I took the longer route to get to the bus stop under shelter. Glad that most of Singapore is quite sheltered either with walkways, under hdb or trees.

Was just having lunch with Raymond's mom and brother. Yay to having lunch partners today!

I'd probably find it weird to be having a meal with my bf family without my bf a few years back but now it just felt like we are already a family. Thankful that his family makes me feel so comfortable.

This sticker reflects what we talked about over lunch so well.

His mom was sharing how one of her friend has not been sleeping in the same room with the husband for the past 20 years. And also another granny who was constantly nagging and scolding her husband even when he was already in his coffin. (I thought I heard this before, nvm)

So anyway, what she was trying to say is that we shouldn't hold grudges and just waste the short time we have alive being angry at someone you love. I guess she was getting emotional because one of the relative just passed away recently.

This is a phase we all have to pass through.

For me, I'm currently in the wedding phase. 3 confirm weddings to attend this year already. It would probably increase next year since Ray bro and 2 of his cousins are getting married next year.

Hitting my 26 soon next week and I can't believe how time just flew past. It felt like I was still in NUS yesterday attending my convocation. Time seems to go by quicker in your 20s. People used to tell me how fast your 20s will fly by but it didn't occur to me that it will be that fast.

Secondary sch was only 4 years and it felt so much longer.

When I was younger and attended my cousins' wedding when they were around 26 27 28, I thought like WOW, they've got everything figured out and can settle down already.

But when I look at myself now, I don't think I know / figure everything out.

Would anyone figure anything out at any age? Probably not.

You probably only know a little bit.

I have shin splint and knee pain from insanity workout. Have to let my leg rest for a few days and get a good pair of cross trainers. I thought all running shoes are the same but they're not. 😭😭😭

Insanity day 17 completed.

I'm quite amazed at myself haha. I am actually so disciplined this time round. The last time when I attempt to try insanity with ray, I didn't even manage to get past week 2.

Now, I'm doing it alone and I'm already halfway through week 3. I hope I can push through.

Feeling a little sickly now. Been sneezing all day.

Ray has returned from the jungle and hence we went out to eat.

But I still completed insanity day 11!

One of my close girl friend just got engaged! So happy for her. They had the most hipster photo on insta to announce their engagement. 😂

It's expected of her to be hipster, I guess. Lol

I wonder who's going to be next in our group.

When ray and I were talking about their engagement, he tried to joke about it and said so this is mine. Then he went ahead to act like he was going to propose also.

Tbh, I hate it when he doesn't take it seriously and always joke about it. It pisses me off so much. But I just told him not to joke otherwise I'll never know if it's real when he really does propose. Or maybe he will not.

Sometimes I wonder how can a couple reconcile the difference in opinion that they have especially when it comes to marriage.

Ray has no intentions to settle down soon. He just started work last August so he doesn't think he's financially stable and he still wants to go pursue his MBA.

I, on the other hand, graduated 2 years before him though we started uni tgt. So I sort of dont feel like a student anymore since I'm already in another phase of my life. So I view things differently.

We talked about marriage and stuff but he always look so reluctant. It makes me sad but I know it's because he doesn't think it's time yet.

Adjustment is needed here, xiner. Get over it! Haha

I guess I just think that it's almost time since we've been together for almost 6 years.

He agreed to use this as lock screen. Haha!

Completed Insanity Day 12! 💪

I go on the scale every morning before working out to track if there's any weight loss but the scale is a monster. There's no change! AT ALL!!!

So I've heard that the scale is not accurate because muscle is heavier than fats. Plus, you have to gain muscles first before your metabolism goes up and starts burning all those fats.

At the nail salon waiting for my sister to be done now. Busy morning today.

Woke up and did my insanity Day 15 then shower and off to florists to buy her convocation flower.

It costs me $70.

Best part? My mother emphasized that I have to get her Sunflower. She said she likes it.

I just met her and she said Sunflower is one of the flowers she hates. What?!

Mothers are so unreliable for this kind of info.

This is how the bouquet looks like. Luckily I got daisies to go with the Sunflower otherwise, it'd be so sad for my sis. Haha

I secretly hate showering when I'm drunk too. I always tell ray that someone should invent a pill which can make us clean once we eat it.

Just sent my mom to hospital for checkup and now my sister to collect her grad gown.

The MPSH was where all the exams were conducted.

Having my soup for breakfast before starting insanity Day 10!

Felt a lot stronger today and managed to complete the workout better than last week.

I even cycled on my stationary bike for another 40 mins after the workout. Hopefully all these will pay off!

Wth! I rushed out this morning and forgot to bring my ez link card. 😢 just paid $2 for a 2 stops bus ride because I don't have enough coins!!!

Note to self: always bring ez link card or have more coins!

Loving my new polkadotted shirt from H&M! Ray has a similar one so we can wear couple shirt out. Haha

It even has this little patch here that I totally adore!

830am tuition class this morning because my student forgot to come for one class last week and she needed this makeup asap because of the upcoming mid terms.

Have not woke up this early for tuition for a long time.

Rushing back now to start insanity! Set my rest day tomorrow instead of yesterday because I have to send my mother and my sister for checkup at hospital and collection of grad gown in NUS.

I completed Insanity workout week1! This calls for a big feast. 😂😅

Just kidding. I should just eat normally! No feasts!

My lunch today at orchid country club. Didn't have enough time to travel out of Yishun because I had a class at 230pm so we settled for this.

This set is quite worth it. We also ordered salmon sashimi.

I've grown to love more food after I met ray. He got me to try so many different types of food that now I encourage and motivate myself by looking forward to meal times. 😅😂😅😂

This time round we are at Old Airport Road Hawker Center. We wanted to come here for the longest time but never got a chance. The last time we tried, they were close.

*pat myself on my back* for completing Insanity Day 4! 🎉🎊

I'm so happy I was able to squeeze in Insanity in the morning although I have so many errands to run today!

I actually woke up before the alarm go off for my workout. Usually, even for my gym classes, I would snooze non stop.

Ray was telling me that he thinks that it would already be very good if I complete the first 30days of insanity. But I'm determined to complete it. 加油!

Mongolia!

The photo above shows you where I stayed for the whole trip. Not the same ger, we move around everyday so that we can visit all the different places.

But you get the point right? Grassland, beautiful sky and picturesque scenery.

This was the first tourist attraction we visited in the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar.

We were joking about how we knowing the name of the capital of Mongolia will help us win those TV shows where they ask you for the names of capitals which many would probably not know.

After which we went on a day tour in the city and the outskirts of it.

This was built for/by the Russians (can't remember) to commemorate their help during war.

Mongolia is a place rich in cultures and has a long history as can be seen in this newly built humongous statue of Genghis Khan.

Like any typical tourists, we tried on their traditional costumes.

We climbed all the way to the top just to take a picture with him! Haha

No la, it is actually so high you can see so many things from above.

While travelling around, we saw many of these, piles and piles of rocks. Initially, we thought they were like piles of rubbish where people just collate their wastes at. But no! It actually symbolises that that area is a sacred and holy place. When we went to took a closer look, we saw statues of their Gods and things that they want to give their Gods.

After the first day, we took a flight to another city in Mongolia where we began our journey in the Gobi Desert.

My first time on a horse ride was quite chill because I was a noob and I did not dare to ride alone so the guide held on to my horsie. Haha

There were so many firsts for me when I visited Mongolia. I experienced walking on top of glaciers and understood how dangerous it can be walking on top of a melting one!

Some Mongolians who thought they were pros, walked around in slippers carelessly.

BOOM!

One of the fatter one fell into the hole and hit his groin area damn badly. His friends had to hurry over to pull him up.

OUCH!!!

We slept in their traditional gers throughout the trip in the desert. Didn't shower and had no proper toilets.

In fact, the only toilet that I would prefer is the one from the first day which had no door. It was just a hole and two covers on the front and the side. Basically, if someone walks behind you, he can see your ass!

We spent our free time walking around and exploring the great nature around us. Ray saw a herd of horses and decided to follow them as they roam across the hills.

The space is so freaking huge that you can literally see the rain coming towards your direction when you stand on top of the hill.

Of course, I don't love everything about Mongolia. One thing I hate is their food.

I had nongshim cup noodles almost every meal. Thank God for instant cup noodles!

They eat meat, particularly beef and mutton. Both of which I dislike. They don't really have vegetables locally and the only thing I coumd get from them was fried potatoes.

Even the vegetable soup that I ordered and tried to confirm with them multiple times that it was really vegetable soup was cooked with mutton bones.

One other fun thing we did was to climb the sand dune which I gave up half way. It was seriously a tough climb. The sand is so soft, every step you take, you will sink in. It's like climb up 1 step, drop down 2 steps.

I was really unfit then so it was too strenuous for me. I decided to give up because everyone was already up there and ready to slide down.

Sliding down took like 30sec only. Climbing up took almost 1.5h.

Flaming cliffs

I really love Mongolia and plan to visit central Mongolia in the near future. For anyone who want to visit Mongolia, go during late May/early June. The weather is cooling and not too hot/cold. The guide told us that their weather is really extreme, it can go from 40 degrees celsius to negative 40 degrees celsius in summer and winter respectively.

Also, if you're willing to take the risks, book your trips there in Mongolia.

We booked ours online before we went over and it was quite expensive. We talked to some of our fellow travellers whom we met there and found that it was cheaper to book there.

Another thing to note is that, language is really a barrier. Get a guide. We had one and though she said she could speak English, half the time we were playing guessing game. Haha 😂

Lastly, I want to show you what you can see there at night. But my point and shoot camera only allowed me to take photo of the milky way in this quality.

It was crazy how the sky is filled with so many stars, constellations and milky way. The night is so peaceful and beautiful but really cold. Wear enough to keep yourself warm. Drink some alcohol and enjoy your night!
