auction grade - advertisement says it about 4-5 (means super grade)

Advantages

we can choose which vehicle we can purchase
we can verify real details of the vehicle i.e mileage, any damages etc..

Disadvantages

it is cost factor , we have to pay both local and international brokers.
we have to open LCs from the bank and bear bank charges
shipping cost, clearance charges are so high
exchange rate is vulnurably, if it is go high at the stage of vehicle clearance we have to bear extra cost
we have to wait around 2-3 months to get the vehile here
we can't do any price adjustments after select the vehicle

Secondly we discuss about car purchase from car seller

Advantages

we can select desired vehicle with match to the budget
we can physically see the options and do test trial as well
if the vehicle is not satisfactory level, we can choose another one.
we do not need to bear extra cost, only pay the vehicle price.
price can be discussed.

Disadvantages

We would like to introduce you how to guess profit margin where car seller keep. how to do this?

we can get original auction report from Japan and check the finalize car cost at the auction stage.

then you have to multiple it by exchange rate of Japan yen and get Sri Lankan rupee cost.

then you have to add government tax which is fixed for specific vehicles.

shall we try to guess car cost of below vehicle.

auction cost : JPY 465,000 ~ SL Rs 781,200 (1 jpy = 1.68)
Government tax : Rs. 20,18,000
total cost excluding shipping, trucking & inspection certificate : SL RS.27,99200
car seller's cost : SL RS.32,75,000

price gap : SL RS.475,800

Normally shipping cost & other cost won't be much cost, it would be around SL RS.250,000 so then balance amount should be seller's profit !!!

the original auction report can't be changed or alter, however most of the car buyers are don't know this. car sellers can nicesely change the reports as their wish. so then how car buyer knows the accurate report?

please look at below car advertisement. car seller mentioned it's mileage as 17,000 Km, however original auction report shows more than that.
