Now it's official: The Republicans are a party of racists and child murderers. It all starts with Jon Hubbard, State Rep. of Arkansas, who believes that slavery and the resulting exploitation of a whole continent was in fact a good thing, because life in that time was presumably easier in America, than it was in Africa. And he calls blacks ignorant for not sharing his crackbrained belief. Yeah, that's probably why so many young black men wanted so eagerly to be caught by a slave trader, because the working conditions were so good. Actually, the slave traders had to flee from them, when their ship was full.

But the one Republican who really took the cake this week was Charlie Fuqua, who currently runs for a seat in the Arkansas House. In his book "God's Law - The Only Political Solution" he demands that all Muslims should collectively be expelled from the USA in order to solve the "Muslim problem" (What problem? With regard to this kind of extremist bullshit I can only see a Christian problem at best), that death penalty shall be administered when a criminal cannot be rehabilitated after two years, and above all: Death penalty for misbehaving children. Hey, the bible says so...

So, in the world that Fuqua is imagining, overextended parents can go to a court and have the judge speak out death sentences against their own offspring, who was spoiled by nobody else than the parents themselves. We already know the excuse for that kind of smut very well: "Left-wingers and liberals have taken my words completely out of the context and are now using them against me, for being conservative". I beg your pardon? Did you say that in the right context, the statement "Rebellious children have to die" is less overweening and extreme? Oh yes of course, the sub-clause said "but we won't do this very often."

Now there's the question if we can call this trolling, with respect that these two men represent one of the two biggest political parties in the USA. I think the Republicans are conducting some kind of social experiment. They rack up candidates with more and more extreme views every time just to explore, where their limit is. I think they just want to know, how far they can go, until the tendency of religious shitheads to automatically vote republican, finally collapses under the load of one candidate's zealotism.

Experts say that Mitt Romney won the first debate on the US presidential elections. Indeed, Barack Obama did not appear as cool and gentleman-like as usual, he seemed stressed and nervous. But Mitt Romney as well presented himself in some other light than the rich scumbag we all know and love. His only faux pas: He answered the question on how to compensate for trillions in tax reductions with "Well, let's cancel public broadcasting then", provoking resentment from fans of Sesame Street.

Great, so Romney is threatening one of the few rays of hope in a chronically dimwitted society with their scripted reality soaps and casting shows. Apart from that, Mitt Romney at least pretended to be a sociable and caring human being. So the only thing we have to do, should Romney become president of the United States, is to set up a lot of TV cameras in the White House. While back in Bill Clinton's days, the recorded footage would only be suitable for the nighttime program, it could be cut down to a one-hour daily show and then they would televise it right between America's Got Talent and Wife Swap.

Conclusion of the debate: One of them started talking bullshit, the other one just kept talking his usual bullshit. Basically a draw, but in soccer, Romney would now be the favorite in the presidential race for having the more consistent poor performance.

So, there is this House M.D episode where the treatment (for those who don't know House M.D.: 70% of an episode consist of the patient getting even more fucked up by the treatment, until House finally sets up the life-saving diagnosis within the last two minutes. The other 30% consist of power games with his team typed "You're fired...welcome to the team. I quit my job...I'm back, deal with it") leads to the blindness of a patient, but the patient himself does not notice it.

Now, the really interesting thing is that this is not a Hollywood Myth. There are cases, where people suffer a brain damage causing them to become blind, but without them recognizing their own blindness. The medical term for this is Anton-Babinski Syndrome. Ain't that funny?

It's really a pity that Rick Santorum isn't a presidential candidate any more. Personally, I like Rick Santorum, because he is the closest thing the Republicans have, to an internet troll. The only problem with non-internet-trolls is that they fight on a foreign terrain, where they have no home-field advantage and they will ultimately lose that battle. The inevitable retrolling was quick, hard and efficient and in the end, even Google defined the term "Santorum" as mixture of excrement and lube which emerges from anal sex. And Google is always right!

That makes it clear why Rick Santorum retired from the presidential elections, as not even Americans would vote for such fecal product to become their president. With one down, the trolls went on to mock the next republican candidate. As "Romney" obviously sounds like a verb to Americans, it became a synonym for emptying your bowels in panic, referring to an incident which happened to the Romney family in 1983. The five members of the Romney clan went on vacation in Canada and since they had not enough space in their car, young Mitt strapped their familiy dog onto the roof. You can probably guess the end of the story: The dog shat himself and the car.

What I want to say: I think the trolls really missed a chance there. In my opinion, his first name has way more potential. "Mitt" does not really sound like a bad word, but it sounds somewhat filthy or like something you want to get rid of. For example: In the summertime, I usually suffer from hay fever. And after waking up, I often have some kind of crust stuck in my nose. Now when manually cleaning my nose, some heavy bleeding may occur. The resulting mixture of blood, slime and boogers could be called Mitt. Or when it is really hot outside and at the slightest physical activity, sweat starts to run down your butt crack and slowly begins to smell. I guess, that could also be "Mitt", right?

Hello,

I guess you figured out by now, this Blog is about trolling. And I'm not talking about trolling in the sense of someone who visits a Forum for vegan feminists to write something like "I think, you just need to get laid once in a while. By the way, Hitler was vegan, too."

I think the term "trolling" should be seen in a much broader sense than just in the context of internet troublemakers. It is rather a concept of everyday life, a possible form of etiquette between two or more persons, which is usually designed to make us laugh, but can also sometimes serve a higher purpose.

One example: Sarcasm. Sometimes, I am so sarcastic, that I lose track of it myself. Basically, sarcasm means making a statement while indicating to mean the exact contrary. Then, there is second-level sarcasm where one is in fact so sarcastic, that you mean, what you say in reality. Based upon that, there is third-level sarcasm, fourth-level sarcasm and so on.

On the internet, it is usually not quite clear, what is sarcastic and what is not (see Poe's law), but also in real life things can become tricky. For example, I sometimes (usually after having a drink) like to answer simple yes-or-no questions completely at random and then I apply the right measure of sarcasm to express myself (which, needless to say, usually fails).

When you embrace life with open eyes, you will often see folks who - in a trolling fashion - not mean what they say...or just exactly mean what they say. I dedicate this blog to these people.
